REAL WORLD: AUSTIN
-Haven't covered this cast of characters in a bit either, so what have we missed? Well, Danny's face has healed. That's a good thing. The only problem is, his balls are now crushed and being carried around in Melinda's purse. Those two make me want to projectile vomit everywhere. Don't get wrong, the scenes of her dancing on bars, running around the pad half naked, and jumping off cliffs with barely any clothes on are perfectly acceptable. I just don't need to see these two lovebirds doing lovey things.
-I'm really glad they've taken a little focus away from Johanna these last few episodes. There's something about her that rubs me the wrong way. Can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's the "stealing from a homeless guy" stunt she pulled? Or maybe it's the constantly being drunk and belligerent act that's worn thin? Or maybe I'm still bothered by the fact that no one's taken a sharp object to that crooked front tooth and carved it down. Whatever the case, I have no idea what Leo sees in this woman.
-Do we honestly think that someone is going to screw up the "South by Southwest" project that they won't get to go on their vacation? It's never happened before in fifteen previous seasons, so what makes me think it'll happen now? Plus, we've already seen footage of Wes and Snaggletooth mounting each other in some exotic location, so I'm guessing that's upcoming. Could you honestly pair two more random people together than those two? I could see Wes as a sex offender at some point in his life. Hope it doesn't happen for the guy, but judging by what we've seen, I don't think I'm that far off in thinking that.
-I'm actually glad "South by Southwest" is in town because now we can actually see a bar other than the "Dizzy Rooster". Do these people go anywhere other than that place? I know Wes gets his best trashy hookups from that place, and Snaggletooth needs to go play flirting games with Leo, but geez, go somewhere else. The camera crew for "RW: Austin" didn't have quite a tough job this season. Dizzy Rooster. Danny and Melinda's bed. Danny and Melinda's bed. Dizzy Rooster. And oh yeah, they went to the drunk tank to pick up Johanna once.
