MY DVR SUCKS

-For whatever reason, my DVR did not record the "After the Final Rose" episode on Tuesday night, so I didn't see it. Hence the reason there's no column. Apparently I didn't miss much from what I've read. The consensus is that Bevin handled herself well, Andy was like a dog in heat all over Tessa, and that they brought back some old bachelorettes to talk about what they'd want in the next Bachelor or something. Gee, well what do you expect them to say? "You know, I knew the next Bachelor should be a down on his luck guy who lives with his parents, has trouble holding a job, and really isn't all that attractive." Please. ABC will cast who they damn well please next season, regardless of what these ladies said. And I heard they brought Susan back to give her opinion. Hubba hubba. Probably at 3 1/2 on my list. Just got nudged out when Danielle appeared this year.

-However, I did see a brief 3 minute clip of Andy and Tessa on the "View" Tuesday morning. Remember, the "ATFR" episode was taped on Monday, then Andy and Tessa flew out to New York Monday night. No, I don't watch that show. Someone sent it to me. Anything involving Rosie makes me violently ill. Good riddance, Rosie. I'm sure you'll be sorely missed. People all seem to love how you're such a warm, caring person. Go away. Anyway, from that clip, I gathered that Tessa didn't really seem into Andy touching her all that much, and she didn't seem that happy to me. As for Andy, he actually came across rather well to me. Not so robotic, still uttered cheesy lines, but didn't come across as such a complete dork. Still dorky, just not a complete one. Make any sense? Good. It wasn't supposed to. So, to Andy's credit, he seemed much more comfortable talking on the "View".

-But then again, every Bachelor comes across as a douche who can't put a sentence together unless he's reading it from a cue card. Then when you see them in the outtakes and in person, they actually seem somewhat personable. Why can't they just act that way when the cameras are rolling? Jesse Palmer is a prime example. Totally came across as a dumb, football, meathead jock. Now he's a broadcaster on Fox for football games and is getting rave reviews for being articulate and very well spoken.

-So those are my very abbreviated thoughts of a show I didn't see. I still don't think Andy and Tessa make it to the altar. Or even start passing out invitations. So four more months and we get to see who our newest failed relationship gets to be. And of course, I'll be front and center for it. Thanks to all of those who are long time readers of the column.
