Shannon how can you tell him to be less sexist and then go on to say how the fairer sex is naturally superior? Now I’m a woman, and I do take umbage to sexist remarks aimed at us, but I also take offense when its thrown the other way. Neither gender is “naturally superior” to the other… people should be identified as individuals and not grouped accoding to race or sex to determine worth.

Steve I love your column. You’re hilarious and I don’t take your ‘sexist’ comments to heart – I’m pretty sure it’s all in fun and that you arent a woman hater. And if you are, well at least youre funny.

Are you kidding? The Bachelorette is MUCH better than The Bachelor. First of all The Bachelor is just about guys getting laid. I mean honestly, it’s pathetic. Second of all The Bachelor is just against nature! Women are supposed to do the picking! Duh!

Let me clarify. All of you men out there better pay attention here: please know, for any relationship to work the WOMAN has to be the focus. Haven’t you heard the phrase “Happy wife, happy life.” Well, take it from me (and from my shrink) the latest studies on marriage have shown that you are 100% more likely to last in a relationship if the woman is happy. So, naturally The Bachelorette makes more sense, and is, by far, the superior show. The woman needs to be the focus.

Steve, I appreciated your recaps, and actually laughed once or twice, which was surprising considering your incredibly sexist comments (can you come up with something more creative than panty jokes please?!)

And lastly, please know that women DO like women, and do vote for women, and do not always consider themselves in competition with other women. Personally, I always root for the women to win Dancing with the Stars, and for the women to win Top Chef. We are just naturally better and superior you know. Here’s a hint… women tend to IDENTIFY with other women. So, we ENJOY movies like Sex and the City. And don’t even get me started on how pathetic Hollywood is, or how clueless male producers are.

Anyway.. thanks for the entertainment Steve. Try to be less sexist in the future, and I’ll enjoy your writing more.

A few thoughts from my feeble brain:

“She went in a different direction” means Jason’s ex-wife left him for her lesbian lover ala Ross and Susan. That’s why Jason has custody.

Jeremy is passive/aggressive – he intentionally provoked Ron by interrupting Ron’s alone time with DeAnna. He knew how Ron would react and would dig the hole he was in a little deeper.

DeAnna must have had private dance lessons before the line dancing segment because I don’t believe she would have learned the steps so quickly. ABC just wanted the guys to look like tools.

Loved your recap as always, even where I saw things differently. Thanks for taking the time to do this each week. And you are in your early 30s for sure.

As for Chelsea, she won by not being chosen by the real loser, Matt. I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to this interview!

By the way, why is it that ABC seems to be ignoring Matt and Shayne now? You’d think the network would be thrilled with an engagement, so what gives? The possibilities are endless (and fun to speculate about). I hope Chelsea’s interview sheds some light on this.

Sitting at my computer at work reading your recap and dying laughing, (quietly, of course).! R. Steve (that’s what I call you), you SO rock and hit the nail on the head everytime–so very funny. Happy B’day Steve! 33 is absolutely early 30′s. I hope you have a great year. Your recaps are so much better than the show.

I’m looking forward to hearing what Chelsea has to say and getting the real story. She was brutally honest and she reacted from real feelings. We got the real deal with her, Amanda, and Nicole. Shayne – no reality there – just the love and pursuit of FAME.
