It’s been a crazy day. I actually wanted to post this earlier, but I had a power outage for the last 3 hours, so I’m just getting caught up on things. Here’s where I stand: After thinking things over last night, I’m still undecided on when to reveal what I know. The addition of the 2nd “After the Final Rose” show doesn’t have me shaking in my boots or upset, in fact (as I’ll explain momentarily) doesn’t come as a surprise at all. The thing that I was surprised at was they announced it on Feb. 12th. I thought they’d wait a little longer. But it doesn’t change what I know, it only makes what I know that much more believable when I eventually tell you.
I’m sure this is how ABC is playing this. They are going to present to you a love story. They are going to show the journey of that love story. They are going to show two people getting engaged, get reaction from the one who wasn’t picked, then give you a follow up on the next night as to where everything stands. I am here to tell you that is not what really happened. They are going to show you one story, and I will tell you another. There is no love story here, sorry to disappoint all you hopeless romantics. The 2nd “ATFR” show is being done, in their minds, to tell their side of the story and justify things that will happen in the finale. The reason they can do is this because this has all been one giant puppet show, with the creators pulling all the strings. Listen to what creator Mike Fleiss said in an interview yesterday:
“I’m the one to blame,” he said. “The show was being phoned in there for a couple of seasons. We were a little complacent. I was off making my movies (“Hostel,” “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre”) and we all took our eye off the ball. I thought the show would run itself.”
Mr. Fleiss has refocused his energies on “The Bachelor” and the rest of his TV efforts, which he produces in conjunction with his Warner Horizon-based Next Entertainment. That’s included naming “Bachelor” editor Martin Hilton as showrunner, something Mr. Fleiss credits with helping turn the show around.
“These shows are made in post,” Mr. Fleiss said. “He’s able to think about a show and how it’s cut together in advance.”
Mr. Fleiss also is thankful to ABC for sticking by his show.
“They’ve been supportive of the creative changes on the show, they’ve given us a nice time period, and they let us make the show we want to make,” he said.
Phrases like “creative changes”, “a nice time period”, and “making the show we want to make” further prove that this season has had a storyline set out from the very beginning. They have a certain story they want to present which will attract the most attention, generate interest/buzz, thus increasing ratings. Of course Fleiss is coming out and saying “It’s our best ending yet”, because the story was already written! They just needed it executed. You think this just naturally happened in the 13th season of a struggling franchise? Certain people have to go along with this story or else it doesn’t work. I became aware of this seasons storyline right when I broke the “exclusive” news on Jan. 27th. And through all the comments on my board, and through all the 3600 posts on FORT about what this could be, I am here to tell you now that NOT ONE SINGLE PERSON has nailed this thing dead on yet. Not one.
If they’re gonna give us a two hour finale on the Monday the 2nd, followed by a one-hour “ATFR”, why then do we need ANOTHER “ATFR” less than 24 hours later? What’s the point? There’s only one explanation. It’s because it’s all been set in motion since the beginning of the season. They knew what they were doing when they let out those screencaps in episode one, and they’ve known all along what was going to eventually happen. Yes, the finale is “jaw-dropping” because of what they were able to pull off. Sure, the finale and both “ATFR’s” will make it seem like these events happened totally on their own and without manipulation, and it’ll even come across as a genuine and somewhat believable story. I’m here to tell you its not. There is a story here that goes much deeper than what we’re seeing on television and people have been in on this from the very beginning. Who has been in on it, you ask? That will be revealed in my final column. And no, I have not told you the shocking part yet. This was just the beginning part of the story. There’s much more here. Who’s in on it? For how long? What exactly has been scripted? What’s the final resolution in all this? Who’s to blame? Did any of the girls know about this? What’s Jasons role in everything? Its going to get better, trust me.
So what does “K Moon/Rebecca” mean? When I first found out this information, and a friend asked me, “Can you tell me anything without giving it away?”, what I told them was, “This season is not necessarily about the who, but the how.” And I think even someone ran with that and put it in comment section back on either 1/19 or 1/26. So when I posted the first clue of “K Moon/Rebecca”, I thought someone would go back a week, remember the “It’s not necessarily the who, but the how”, and put two and two together. Well, I was wrong. I think there’s about maybe 20 to 30 people who figured out “K Moon” was “Keith Moon”, drummer for “The Who”. Hell, if the clue would’ve been “R Daltrey/Rebecca”, would that have made it easier? I don’t even listen to “The Who”. I just knew I wanted my clue to be “It’s not necessarily about the who, but the how.” So I wikipedia’d “The Who” and used the guys name from the band who I least recognized. I’d never even heard of the guy, so I went with that one. So “K Moon” = The Who.
The “how” was a bit trickier, but not much. So I went to imdb.com for a little help. Well, let’s see, Kirstie Alley’s character on “Cheers” was named “Rebecca Howe.” Bingo. There’s your clue. “K Moon/Rebecca” = Who/How. I’m a simple man. I wasn’t looking up Kiwi birds in New Zealand, or talking about moons, and orbits, and whatever else got thrown out there. You people really overanalyzed this clue. As for the Rebecca part, I was SHOCKED that nobody would try to link it up with a pop culture reference to one of the most famous sitcoms of all time. But like I said, even if you got that clue (which I think one person in America even suggested that Rebecca was a character on “Cheers”), didn’t mean you’d be able to figure anything out. It all fits in the story ABC is telling this season. No, this season is not about WHO he chooses, but the HOW behind it all.
So Clue #1 – “It’s not about the who, but the how.”

I rewatched some of the episodes lastnight and found the General Hospital scenes and the talk with Jillian in the coffeeshop to be the most interesting.
Dont have a story line but have some ideas.
Mel and Jason did not know each other before the show but…..
Jillan and J did (maybe she was an old girlfriend that saw him on the bachelor and decided to play a joke by reappearing in his life.)
Part of this truth came out during the GH date when mainly Mel but also some of the other girls started showing that they were emotionaly invested.
Think about it, at that point they started letting the girls go rather quickly
Not sure what transpired after that but that is when the spin doctors were called in
So, Jason isn’t in love?? Is that what you’re saying? Or are you saying that their “love story” isn’t how it’s been played out to be?
Two thoughts, either DeAnna comes back and Jason chooses her (which will make me puke!!!) and we’ll find out that Jesse was a publicity rating thing and the De and Jason have continued some kind of relationship since her season.
OR
Jason and his final one started some form of a relationship after he signed on to be the bachelor, but before the season started filming.

I thought from the very beginning Melissa was the only girl who wasnt freaked out when others had one on one time with Jason
FROM THE BEGINNING, Melissa is being paid the big bucks to fulfill the story line.
The fake show will end with Jason proposing to Melissa as planned ( for a bonus they spring on him once in production ) The show is running a business and are not matchmakers
( they finally realized this ) and dont care if for real anyone connects. They cant control that…

The screen caps with the proposal are from last season in the BAHAMAS with Deanna. Jason said he was down on his knee a lot longer than what they showed befor she said no and had him get up. ABC wants us to think it isof this year with melissa to throw us off when we see the results in the end…Hence things are not always as they seem!

I know everyone is hot on the Mel trail but someone please go back and look at the General Hospital episode. Melissa is frantic and if you look at Jillians face it is that of concern. She is concerned for the other girls in the house and is starting to feel like this whole mess was a big mistake because real emotions are at stake here. I honestly think I am on to something we have blown the he knew Mel theories through the roof and RS has told us that is not the case. This is also no love story just a cruel trick being played on a bunch of unsuspecting participants.
I think that Mel eventually does figure it out and goes along with it because she is an easy going person her parents and her brother may not be so understanding. He picks her and then they script something that goes wrong and he ends up with Jil that is the shocker.
Latest theory–
Jason proposes to Jillian. She turns him down, so he goes back to Mel. The final scene is Jillian eating a hot dog, watching TB on TV.
The shocking twist is that Jason actually put relish on his hot dog, but the producers edited it out!

Those of you who think it can’t possibly be the same proposal scene with Deanna, keep in mind producers and special effects people can create all kinds of magic with computers. I’m not saying they did necessarily doctor the footage, but just keep that in mind.

obviously, i knew much of the show was manipulated via the set-up of an alternate universe (being shut off from the real world, alcohol, prodding interviewees, producers choosing some girls to continue on, etc.) BUT i had no idea that EVERYTHING was a complete and utter SHAM!

Been watching and reading and something that I noticed on the video clip (which I now can’t seem to find) where Jason spins around the “chosen one” is that when she puts her arms around his neck you can see that there is a bracelet or watch on her right wrist. If you go back and look through screen caps, you will notice that Jillian is the only one who wears anything on her right wrist. From what I have seen, it looks like she is left handed. I don’t know if that means anything and I’m not sure how it all goes down, but I believe Jillian will eventually be the F1.

I think the main reason I enjoy Steve’s recap so much is because I don’t take this seriously. The only couple that has ever lasted Triscuit and Milquetoast are boring as hell (but baby Max is adorable). Everyone else you pretty much just wait to hear the breakup news. Big surprise Matt and Monkey didn’t last.

#s158 #169 (haven’t read much after): The jaded part of me agrees wholeheartedly. I was once a major Jason devotee (OK, still am to a lesser degree). I loved Jason not only because he seemed so earnest & sincere on B4 but because he did for me the same thing Hugh Grant does:a wonderful portayal of a man in love. I loved how devoted and attuned he was to Deanna. Even when he saw how powerful her attraction to Graham was, he regarded them with wistful resignation (I’m thinking of the scene at the race track where he watched them walk away), rather than trying to get between them or backstab Graham. He seemed to love her-all of her, as they showed us in their one on one, as opposed to merely physical love- sincerely and totally, and merely hoped for the same in return.
That image seems to be evaporating more with each episode.

One thing that did shock me was that a 35 year old man had never heard of Keith Moon.
Here is what I think:
Montreal = as was pointed out by someone else could be related to the “Montreal Screw Job”, where the outcome of a WWF Championship a match was, unbeknownst to the supposed winner, changed. Hence, Montreal could stand for double crossing and secret change of the winner.
At first I thought that this would mean that Jason originally agreed to the pre-determined winner, but fell in love with one of the other ladies and refused to play along. Therefore CH comment that it took a lot of guts what Jason did.
After thinking about this a while, this scenario did not make sense anymore for one reason (always assuming RS knows what he is talking about): THERE IS NO HAPPY ENDING.
Also, it appears to me that RS is really disgusted with what ABC has done with Bachelor this time, and if I recall correctly, somewhere the word lawsuit was mentioned.
So, here goes my new theory:
The whole season was scripted, including the part prompting CH to say that Jason shows guts. Jason has to go along with the script because of the contract he signed in order to avoid a lawsuit. This contract forces him to follow the script, which includes the so-called shocking twist and gutsy move on his part, and he proposes to whomever was chosen by ABC. The contract probably also prevents him from seeing the girl he actually did fall in love with, hence, NO HAPPING ENDING.
My guess would be that Mel is the one that is in on the whole scripted thing. She is young and a Cheerleader, probably interested in getting herself on TV. Jill, on the other hand, is 29 years old and successful career women. I think she is fun loving and entered the Bachelor because it intrigued her, not because she needed the publicity.
These contracts are really complicated. It is quite possible that the Contract from the Bachelorette already included a clause that forced Jason to be the next Bachelor should ABC, based on viewers reactions, decide so. Non-compliance to the contract(s) could cost Jason millions of dollars.
So, in their eagerness to make sure that this Bachelor had a Happy (scripted) ending, they may have prevented a happy ending that could have developed by it self.

2 out of 3, Molly and Melissa, are not real and will be exposed, because….Jason didn’t want anyone to be hurt so he planted two friends he knew so that when he finally decided out of all the girls who he would pick, he would have his two friends and the F1 at the end. he’s crying on the balcony because when Molly and Melissa are exposed as such to Jillian she gets upset and doesn’t want to continue with the show, but after some thought she realizes she does love Jason and everything gets explained to her so she accepts the proposal. The screen shot with Melissa and the ring was all set up to fool everyone but Melissa and Jason knew the truth all along (and Molly). There you have it folks!

Wow I’m so glad all this is coming out about how this show is run (especially from those who worked on the show-oh how I despised many of you! Except for a few who were nice and didn’t lie to me). I’ve heard girls from other seasons say, “oh they told me what character I would be playing before the show started” and “I told the producers that I would play whatever part they wanted to give them the drama they needed, if they want me to play the B**** I will give them the B*****” … now, mind you, not all of us go into it thinking this…I was certainly never told it would be like that. they led me to believe that it was all for “truuueee luuuuuv” (now, I wasn’t that stupid to believe that there wouldn’t be some editing goin on behind the scenes, but NEVER would i have guessed there would be the outright manipulation that happens … thank goodness they have a psychotherapist waiting when you leave because by then you need it!).

I think I remember reading waaay long ago, before the show started that something happened with final 1 that she got sent home at f3 (Jill), which put f2 up to f1 (Mel) and f3 up to f2 (Molly).

RS says “there is no love story here” meaning with the couple that is seemingly engaged. That doesnt mean there isnt a love story elsewhere.
Although I do think it’s telling that Jason has not done a single interview since the beginning of this, when he ran around town spilling his engagement. Why hasn’t he reiterated this lately? I think given the scripted nature, the girl involved backs out earlier than anticipated- earlier than the 3-4 months agreed upon, and by now, they arent together. And Jason’s bubble was bursted a little too early.
I hope it ends better than this- with a couple of some sort who are actually together. It seems LAME and if it ends in shambles, how are they going to get people to watch next season?

re: Jason saying he is the worst actor ~
have you guys noticed that he also has said in interviews that other guys on the bach/ette last season were SO uncomfortable in front of the camera, they would just freeze up and not be able to be themselves, but he barely noticed the cameras were there, he was comfortable with the cameras around (something like that) ~ that struck me as odd ~ I think that is Part of what makes a person a Good actor, is being comfortable in front of the cameras and being able to not freeze up and be yourself
