And You Thought I Was Exaggerating?
In case you haven’t heard the latest, ABC has decided to air the “Bachelor” finale in its regular spot on Monday, March 2nd from 8-10pm, followed by the standard “After the Final Rose” show from 10-11pm. But now, they are going to do an “After the Final Rose: Part 2″ to air Tuesday night the 3rd. Here’s the link to the press release:

And you people didn’t think I knew what I was talking about? Fleiss is well aware already that something is going to get out, and by having a 2nd “ATFR” to air the next night, he can then use that time to explain what the hell happened. Why else would he say, “It’s going to be shocking. It’s the best ending we’ve ever had.” I told you this three weeks ago. Calling it the “best ending ever” though is still a matter of opinion. But it is the most shocking. And if they’re gonna pull this and try to spin it their way with a 2nd “ATFR” show, then I might have to beat them to the punch. Stay tuned, because there’s a good chance I’m gonna lay out the truth to what really happened this season and tell what I know before ABC does. I need to sit down and figure out when and how I want to go about doing this. Figures they would pull something like this. Basically, I’m going to tell you the reason why they’re having an “ATFR: Part 2″.

Chris H. apparently does read at least some of the comments on his blog, and when people were even flooding that site with question about what you know RS, they had to know the gig would soon be up, as they say.
I hope you do reveal what you know early. And not just because it would save me and others a lot of time wondering what the heck is about to happen. Even with a second ATFR show, I sincerely doubt they’ll be letting us know everything that went down. And after all this, I, for one, would like to know the truth and not the ABC-sanitized version.

Why did TPTB give Molly (the presumed F2) such a lousy edit? Notice how she doesn’t really have many online fans? Everyone seems to love Jillian, Stephanie, or Melissa. Molly’s edit has been kinda quiet and confident, which seems to be a turn-off to Bachelor audiences.
I think they did this on purpose. They didn’t want Molly to have a lot of fans, so when Jason does something cruel to her in the finale we won’t hate him as much. They want us to forgive him. They scheduled a ATFR Part 2 for extra damage control.
I won’t fall for it!

Jason proposes. Reality hits him hard and he instantly realizes that he has made a mistake. He breaks his engagement almost right away………. “Rollercoaster ride”.
He goes to one of the discared girls and begs for another chance.
May be that is what Chris meant when he said that “what Jason did to guts”.
The extra show is to share a mini bachelor show where Jason and XXX begin dating in the real world and then fall in love. No cameras, no hype….just a normal evolution of a relationship between two people that are attracted to each other. Filming for this mini bachelor show begins “after” these two people have committed to each other. The show is a narration and recap of the love affair. Possibly film crews go to places where the couple had been and Jason and XXX narrate how they were feeling at the time, etc.

Maybe there is really only going to be one ATFR and its going to be on Tuesday night. Fleis says “Just when you think the show is going to end, it doesn’t.†We see a FRC with each of the F2 and think the show has ended but instead of having an ATFR afterwords there is another hour of TB.

Steve, I have said before that you need to keep this fun for yourself and not turn it into a headache.
You do what you want. It’s your blog, your info, your fan base, your own specially created chaos. You’re clearly dying to tell, which makes sense — it’s hard to keep big secrets.
Just don’t give it out so far in advance that ABC has time to edit AGAINST what you know. You’ve got a film background IIRC, so you’ll have an idea of when that is.

We all know it is Melissa he chose….they keep telling us it is HOW they got there. The drama has to revolve around Melissa’s past and her family. Maybe she leaves and he is distraught and goes after her, maybe her family flies over to stop the whole thing, maybe he goes to her family behind her back and they say NO, maybe he finds out that Melissa has an abusive past and her parents are overprotective of her…I don’t know, but if it ends in an engagement (which we know it does), we should just sit back and enjoy the drama….this could be a mini-series!

I think rather than coming out and going straight to the point in saying exactly what happened, maybe give some easier clues or hints to clues, which will still leave it open to interpretation. Although some will have figured it out, there will still be speculation (as not everyone will agree with each other) and that will leave ‘a little’ suspense for the finale. It also won’t be spoiled for everyone that reads your blog (or other message boards as we know it will spill over).
And, as you can clearly see, you giving these clues has been a fun game for everyone! It keeps readers coming back to your blog, and will help pass the time until the finale airs.
Maybe post a daily clue and agree to answer a burning question you’ve received – possibly pertaining to the clues or the show. Or another idea is to post daily hints to the clues already given.
You should wait to post EVERYTHING you know until either right before the finale on March 2nd, or just after the finale and before the ATFR 2. You can still beat ABC to the punch, and you can tell us all what REALLY went down.

I also believe that what he/she is saying is correct, and that the Bachelorette Jason chooses, is ultimately not the one he ends up engaged to. It seems most people just ignored those posts but I think whoever was posting as ‘?????’ knows something.

I agree that you don’t need to spill the beans yet. As much as I want to know, it’s much more fun to wait and guess (kinda like Christmas). I like the idea about posting more (easier) clues and maybe letting us know when someone is on the right track (you like the “hot/cold” game).
Unless ABC airs the ATFR2 show at 7am the next day, you’ll have plenty of time to fill us in on the full story before it airs (as long as you don’t sleep in too late:).

That Dirty with a Capital ‘D’ comment was probably nothing more than a saying. That was posted as a comment on the http://ihategreenbeans blog by someone with the username Former Bach_ette. Maybe she/he knew nothing, or maybe they know what happens and for them they felt it was a dirty move either by Jason and/or ABC. Chris Harrison has stated that what Jason does takes guts.
I don’t think the fact she emphasized the ‘D’ meant Deeanna or Dallas – just simply that she felt whatever happened was dirty. It’s like someone saying, that spells Trouble with a capital ‘T’.

I am a newbie to your site. You are an amazing writer. I love your blogs and, I never questioned what you knew. Perhaps the safest thing for you to do for legal and/or the situation with ABC’s not finished editing the ending as you mentioned before would be to just give us better clues and more of them.
I see an amazing connection with Jillian. I think the next show we will see tons more. This is a relationship that has built stronger every show. One thing that has been in my mind a lot was that Jason said he fell in love with two women. No F1 would like hearing that and, I don’t really think Jason is insensitive enough to say that so…clearly something big happens with two of the three women left.

Well, I for one, want to know. If you don’t wnat to spill the actual beans, I agree that explaining the previous clues or giving more but less cryptic clues would be a fun way to keep up the suspense without coming right out and explaining the answer.
And to answer Ruby, no, apparently, our lives are reduced to this! LOL I actually think it’s the challenge of the ‘brain puzzle’a nd everyone wanting to solve it first that’s drawing us in.

I just want to say that I absolutely LOVE what RS has done! It’s great that you have info that makes ABC squirm. It doesn’t even matter at this point what actually happens at the FRC… who really cares who Jason ends up with? (I don’t anyway). It’s getting to that point that’s fun. I love you RS for making this show much better than it really is!! Keep the clues coming even though most of us have no idea what you’re talking about. If you want to give out the info that you have, then go ahead. People can choose whether or not they want to know what happens ahead of time by reading your blog or not. I haven’t decided if I would want to know beforehand, but I would at least have the choice. It would be extremely difficult to stay away, though!! Keep up the great work, RS!

Oh, how ABC wants to make RS look bad. ABC knows that RS is right on track with things after they heard about his blog. How dirty of ABC to do RS this way. I am just pissed about it. They are doing all they can to keep RS from busting. Little do they know, we all believe in RS and know he knew from the beginning that he was well aware of what happened, how it happens, ect.

Well I hope my theory #590 is close because I really don’t see any chance of a lasting relationship with Jason and Melissa. And there has to be a reason why the edit is slowing turning towards everyone loving Jillian and is turning against Mellissa. Molly is just final 2 fodder in the edit I’ve been watching.

I think it’s great that Steve has generated so much interest in the show. Personally, I think ABC is riding on HIS coattails and is taking advantage of all the excitement to boost ratings even more with ATFR2. I’ll be glad to read Steve’s version of events and then tune in to see ABC’s version. It’s always fun to find out the behind the scenes stuff. I can’t believe they (ABC) didn’t think of this on their own.

There’s no way he’s going to spill the beans this far in advance, after it’s out people will lose interest in this site. He’s going to sit on this as long as possible, probably no sooner than a few days before the finale if not day of.
Very few viewers of any given show read the message boards and blogs, that is a well known fact. I seriously doubt the small percentage of the 11 million viewers who are reading this site have any influence on the ratings or what the show does.
As of right now the FORT thread about this site has 3602 comments and this site has 2775 total comments on each posting RS has made since he announced his “exclusive.” That totals to 6,377 comments. Assuming each comment was made by a different person, and we know they weren’t, then that would equal a whopping 0.058% of the viewers. That’s just over HALF OF 1% for the mathematically challenged readers.
Fleiss and ABC can release statements announcing the extra show and those press releases may get a brief mention on the entertainment shows or in magazines or newspapers or something that more of the general public will stumble across but you won’t see ET or US magazine mentioning anything “RealitySteve” says so I sincerely doubt ABC made an extra show just because of him.
They simply made an extra show because the ratings are good this season and because they can draw that audience (and the advertising $$$$) to a show that will explain this “jaw dropper” we see on the finale.
The National Enquirer has a source on the set every season who tells them the final winner and any dirt on the set and TPTB have never acknowledged that or added shows or changed the editing based on those reports and they certainly wouldn’t do it because of realitysteve.com.

No Melissa hate here. I am just watching the show with RS’s news and clues in the back of my mind and reading what Jason and Chris H have said and it just makes sense. The edit is changing how everyone watching the show is thinking about Jillian. They have no need to make the public love her because as a Canadian she would never be the next Bachelorette so why the sudden Jillian love. Two weeks ago it was all about Melissa.
I would actually be happy for Melissa if that is the way it goes down and she gets to do the Bachelorette because I think she’s a sweet girl with a lot of insecurities and I think she’s caught up in the show and wanting to be loved but she’s not looking at how this will impact her life. I think she’s too young to take on such a mature role as wife and stepmother and move so far away from Dallas and everything she knows.
I think Jillian is at the stage in her life that it would fit her perfectly. She appeared to be very realistic going into this thing for the adventure and the possibility of finding love and she has surprised herself by falling in love with Jason. They are much better suited to each other. And Seattle is very close to her family so it’s not such a dramatic change for her. She can also work at her career anywhere.

At this point, I think we will know very shortly the outcome. I think it’s a race to see who will “spill” first as I assume RS is not the only person to know the details… I think it would be unfortunate if someone else gets to “spill” other than RS as he was the first to tell us that something is “amiss”. I agree that he should post a spoiler link and let people decide if they want to know or not. Besides, even if we finally find out, we’ll want to watch it all the more to see it play out.

You don’t think the scenario posted at #590 (2/10) is jaw dropping or shocking?
Never in “The Bachelor” history has the Bachelor had a F2, yet ended up engaged to a girl he let go earlier on. Viewers expect that he will pick one of the F2, they would never expect him to admit that he made a mistake and go find a girl he already sent home.
Now I realize most reading these boards may not be as shocked or surprised as a regular viewer who has not read all of these crazy speculations – but I for one will still be amazed if that is what REALLY happened! Wow!

*I think that it is extremely interesting that the F3 girl (Jillian) is getting the best edit (most normal and positive) on the show, and thus has a much greater fan base than the supposed F2 (Molly). She also doesn’t have all the drama with a capital “D” of the Melissa edit…

Even though we don’t know what those 4 clues mean (yet), they will prove that Steve wasn’t messing with us.
If ABC leaks first, Steve will at least reveal the meaning of those clues and we’ll know he knew it back on January 27th at least!

I’m thinking that Jason’s ‘chosen one’ was obvious to all (b’ettes, crew) well before the finale. Because it was so very obvious, Fleiss decided to have some fun with the storyline (after all, Jason would still end up with his ‘true love’). So the remaining contestants and crew are enlisted to carry out a scripted, manipulated shocking storyline and heartwarming ending for us viewers (remember, it was obvious to all who Jason fell for so why would it hurt anyone or the show itself, it could only enhance the show). Jason still ends up with his chosen ‘true love’, and the show’s ratings shoot throught the roof. Everyone wins. The crew still gets very emotional and applauds Jason and his chosen one at the end because there is still a very real love story there, and that doesn’t happen very often on the Bach. or B’ette. I think there is a very real love story this time, just that the journey to the end was scripted, manipulated by Fleiss (because they knew early on who Jason’s ‘one’ was, so Fleiss decided to have some fun), but the end result was not tampered with.
So, I think the RS ’scoop’ is that the journey to the finale was scripted, manipulated by Fleiss and not naturally played out, and that Fleiss did this because the end result was obvious to all well before the finale and he decided to have some fun with it and perhaps make it more interesting for the viewers. None of the scripting and manipulating, changed the end result, but enhanced it (in Fleiss’ mind).

Found this over on FORT…sounds pretty good to me…I like it and until RS says something different this is the story I’m going with
“Since I write for Harlequin under the Steeple Hill imprint, my mind does venture into ultimate romance mode on a daily basis. As you said, the SC show Melissa as F1. Unless ABC is purposely duping the audience (not a good thing in my opinion) by having Jason propose to Melissa the way he does and then leaking those SC to the public, knowing sleuthers such as yourselves would figure it out, then we can assume the Melissa is indeed F1.
Okay, so what other thing would be jaw dropping? The program uses a formula. They’ve already shown that Jason breaks the formula by not giving the last rose out during one of the ceremonies. They’re setting up sympathy for Melissa, showing her as being vulnerable and sweet and Jason’s obvious attraction to her. He’s already said that their relationship can only go so far if he doesn’t meet her family. Perhaps she does tell him something that makes him question whether she’s “the one”. So he goes to the rose ceremony in love with 2 women. One family he’s met and likes and the girl is wonderful with his son. The second one he adores and she adores Ty but he hasn’t met her family and there is some question as to why, putting red flags up.
In this situation, he needs to make a choice. So he makes the safe choice. He chooses the girl whose family he’s met and that he knows all the questions are answered for. Except, when he lets the F2 go, he realizes he can’t live without her and are those red flags really scary enough that they can’t overcome it? So he’s tortured and cries about it and when the one he’s intended to be the F1 comes around in the limo, he can’t go through it.
Audiences who don’t sleuth will be in shock and think “Not again! Not another Brad.” Except it’s different because he tells Molly that he made a mistake and ABC leaves FRC show with a cliffhanger. What is Jason going to do? (At least, they should in order to make sure everyone watches ATFR show.) At that point ABC shows Jason winning Melissa back, meeting her family and then becoming engaged. So the SC don’t lie, they just don’t tell the whole story the way it unfolds. Sound good? If this is the way it happens, I can’t wait to see it.”

Steve, I think that ABC knows you actually know what happened and I agree with you that they will try and spin this thing to their advantage. I think you ought to wait until after the first ATFR on March 2nd has aired and do as you originally planned. Post what you know about the backstory March 3rd as you told us you would. That would be before the ATRF part 2 airing Tuesday night. Does ABC expect you not to follow through on what you told your reader’s you would do just because they chose to do another ATFR? Unless I have missed something, you are under no obligation to ABC. Thanks for making this season so interesting and I hope they “nay sayers” who said you didn’t know anything are eating their words right now. Best wishes in whatever you decide to do.

There just isn’t anything that would “drop-my-jaw” we’ve seen just about everything! Ring on string, plane ticket, choose no one, set-up season, rug yanked, (no love story shown! Come on…we’ve had private dismissals,, blow ups, no words, genuine “boarders” sleuthers are well aware and prepared for WHATEVER! So PS the only ones you would be spilling to are REGULAR viewers and I’m pretty sure most don’t even know YOU exist! They are not reading your blogs…they may be “jaw-dropped” but not most of us!
We are going to have an emotional ending in a happy way, not shocking!

Steve should spill it all???? I think not. 8 out of 10 people watch this show just 4 steve’s recaps, therefore if he spills it now who the crap will bother to watch the rest of the season? I think Steve should wait until after the final episode then spill it. Many people will go on with their lives after all 1300 posts were added last week of course DAZEDBACHELORFAN probably accounted for 645 of them, people seem to care so just hold on the infomration a couple more weeks. We trust that you have the info. Just give us the reason to watch, we have invested weeks into watching.

I have been a fan of Steve’s just this year. I am new to him. I enjoy reading what you write and I think it is fun. I am just really confused as to why so many are suddenly hating on Melissa when last week more were rooting for her. I read in someone’s post that he father is with the Carlson Resteraunt Chain and so I looked it up and there is a Bob Rycrost as an Executive that works there. Maybe as part of his job he is not allowed to appear on tv??? So an idea. I just hope that those who like Melissa and want melissa to be with Jason in the end don’t give up on her.

I agree with you designchica. I think from what we’ve seen (which as we know is tremendously manipulated) Jillian is so much better for him in the long run. Sure, he might think Melissa is cute and fun and it might last for a few months but he has to think of Ty and his future. So, if he is falling for both of them, I think #590’s theory is spot on.

Not to be crass, but – OK, I’ll be crass. It’s obvious to me that Jason wants to get into Melissa’s pants. I think he likes her, too. But love? Not so sure. And I’m not hating on Melissa – I actually think she’s nice and certainly beautiful – but I don’t think she’s mature enough or secure enough to marry a single-dad and be a step-mom. And I don’t see any particular depth to their relationship. If Jason picks her, I’ll wish them all the best and hope it works out, but that’s my 2 cents.
I still think that in a different scenario and with more time he and Steph might have worked out. Of the women left, I think Jillian stands the best chance of sticking around long-term.
RS – I doubt you’ll do it but please post something! Give us hints, tell us the whole story behind a link, whatever. Inquiring minds want to know!

I agree with 178. What type of person would he look like asing one to marry him and her saying “no” then running to the next best thing. I am sure neither girl would want to be second best and be happy with it. It just has to be that he picks the one and he and the rest of the girls are scripted from that point on. Why would Melissa set there and let him propose to her and be ok with ABC airing clips of it all the time if she weren’t the one. I would be humiliated if they did that and I just can’t see them being that mean. BTW, I have only ever blogged on here two times and both times were today. I usually just read and don’t comment but it is hard not to say something…lol

But if RS tells what he knows now, wouldn’t ABC change their plans and not reveal what THEY were planning on? I don’t know. Either way what we get from ABC is not going to be the full/real story. It will be edited and twisted to be the most entertaining TV they can make. But I can’t help but wonder if the big reveal is spilled early (by anyone) that they will make a mad dash to make things look different to still create some kind of drama/surprise. Thus we get even farther from the real story.
Fascinating that I am most interested in chasing down reality, which seems a rare bird in this reality show…

Here is a copy of POST 590 FROM FEB 9th which is being referenced above….
Okay here’s what I’ve got…
Jason was in love with two women, Melissa and Jillian
Jillian told Jason she did not want to be that “final 2″ girl because that position sucks. You have to go through the whole thing only to be humiliated and devastated at the proposal site.
Jason knows he has to decide between Jillian and Melissa at final 3 so he chooses Melissa and lets Jillian go to spare her and respect her wish not to be the “final 2 girlâ€.
He’s not that connected to Molly so he’s okay with her having the final 2 humiliation.
The producers don’t like this scenario because they can see that this is going to be a 3 month engagement tops with Melissa. They were rooting for Jillian all along because they figured that he has the best chance of an actual marriage with her and maybe the crew saw the connection and saw her as a better fit for Jason. They see their dream of a sucess story going down the drain. Melissa is all over him so he knows that she will say yes and he is unsure about Jillian. He is afraid that Jillian will hurt him so he makes a bad call and lets her go.
The producers start some behind the scenes manipulation. They bring in DeAnna to put doubt in Jason’s mind and they talk to Melissa to see if she is really sure that this is what she wants. He let another woman that he loves go because he believes he loves you more and it would be devastating if you don’t really love him or are in this to win it or something like that. Or maybe they haul her parents over to talk some sense into her. At the same time, Jillian has possibly said something to him at their walk out to let him know he had her heart and he blew it. He is wondering if he made the right decision but he goes ahead with the LCDs and convinces himself that it’s Melissa he wants. Meanwhile, the producers also talk to Jillian to let her know that Jason loved her but was afraid she’d hurt him and he had to let her go at final 3 because he didn’t want her to be the “final 2″ girl. She is devastated that by not opening up fully, she has lost him.
So the FRC goes off as planned and he lets Molly go and then proposes to Melissa. But she turns him down because she’s been thinking about whether this is really what she wants and whether she really loves Jason enough to move to Seattle and all that would entail. At that moment she realizes that this is really happening and she can’t go through with it. Or the producers knew she was going to say no and made sure they got the ring on finger money shot first.
Jason has now been dumped twice. He cries hysterically on the balcony and Melissa tries to calm him and actually is the one who tells him to go after Jillian. Of couse the producers have already anticipated this possibility so Jillian shows up in another billowy blue dress. But that’s obviously not exactly what happened, Steve will fill us in on that.
And Melissa is happy because she gets to be the next Bachelorette and extend her reality show career.
Should I sign up for Harlequin now?

I wonder if part of the reason people are seeing this love between Melissa that I am not seeing is because those people knew early on about the footage of Mel being the final one wiht the ring on her finger. I didn’t know about any of this until just a few days ago and up until then, had not visited a Bachelor message board, didn’t have a clue about what anyone knew, and was just watching the show completely in the dark about all of this.
What I saw from watching it not knowing anything about how it ends is that sure, he likes Mel and there is definitely chemistry but I didn’t pick up on any deep love between them. At leat not yet. Maybe it will show in the NZ dates but I haven’t seen anything yet to indicate that she’s the only one for him.

my thoughts, the proposal sc is real and it is mellisa. but….the shocker is, it’s for the show’s previews only. melissa was hired to be on the show and jason knew about it.
melissa and jason were given a script to play. hence, the “obvious” love “connection” between the two being shown on tv. the producer(s) wants this to be the most dramatic and shocking ever. melissa wil bel one of the f2 but she will not be the f1. melissa’s family also knew about her being hired for the part and that’s why they didn’t want to participate at the HTD. they didn’t want to get their reputation ruined if words behind the scenes got out that the whole thing is fake.
if the other sc put molly as the other f2, then she wins this thing. most of the viewers are seeing that jason is really into melissa base on the edits. what could be more shocking and dramatic than on the final minute jason chose molly instead. the crying scene at the balcony is also scripted, again for dramatic purposes.
this to me how i interpret steve’s comments about don’t believe everything you see and read.

How about this? Jason lets Molly go as F3. FRC is Melissa and Jillian. First limo pulls up, out comes Melissa. We don’t know if he’s going to propose or turn her away. Before he gets a chance to say, Melissa tells him he should choose Jillian, she is better for him, she loves him more, etc. Jason thanks her, tells her how “amazing” she is, they kiss, she leaves, second limo pulls up, Jillian steps out, Jason proposes.
This way we won’t ever know who he really intended to pick and F2 isn’t humiliated the way Jason was with Deanna.

I’m new to this and trying to keep up with all the comments. Sorry if it’s a repeat of someone else.
What if you just swap out Melissa and Jillian in #590 and change some of the circumstances.
He lets Melissa go next because he isn’t sure about her family, how serious she is, if she is hiding something. He’s upset so he cries on the balcony. Molly and Jillian then meet Ty (only 2 meet him I think). Meanwhile, DeAnna comes in to talk about making a mistake by letting your real love go because you’re afraid they’ll hurt you in the end/lingering questions. She says, “you haven’t proposed yet” and he then decides not to propose to either Molly or Jillian. That’s the first After the Rose Ceremony. Meanwhile, he is back in touch with Melissa, meets her parents behind the scenes, introduces her to Ty (camera people see them together), he proposes to her (screencaps, her twirling) and that’s what we see during the second after the rose ceremony.

Could Melissa have been hired by ABC to spice up the season?
Perhaps they approached her knowing about her previous reality show experience and future ambition for TV stardom; maybe with a bachelorette spin off for becoming F2, F3 or F4?
I strongly believe that the boycott of her family was planned, as was the contradictory background of her dating career, to give Jason enough doubt to let her go. This would in turn ramp up the sympathy for a popular character to receive her very own spin off of the bachelorette.
The shock is that he doesn’t let her go – it backfires and she ends up F1 but unable to accept because she wants a television career, not Jason.
Dirty with a capital D? As what rings true for the Bachelor/ette installments, things are not what they seem!
That being said, the shock would be, for me, that true love could actually be found on a show which is highly contrived….

One last thought:
If Jason chooses the girl who is not in the final 2, what if the producers re-shot everything somehow so that it appeared she was in the final 2, visited Seattle, met Ty, and was the last girl to walk out of the limo. The girl he really did propose to OR one of the girls he didn’t propose to (if he didn’t propose to either one) would have been erased. And she would have to go along with it because ABC producers wanted the fairy tale the first time. Because RS knew the truth and was ready to tell everyone, ABC decided to air it as it really happened, decided against showing the recreated footage (no one would know it was even done if it wasn’t for RS’s scoop) and air a new ATR with the new girl.

Sounds like no matter what the news, you will not put doubt in the minds of the FORT message board on Melissa being the F1.:) Still coming up with theories that involve the screen caps of the FRC in NZ and the surrounding jaw dropping events all pointing to Melissa being the F1, and is the one that Jason is engaged to today.

#250, you must not read at FORT very much or at all. It is the opposite of how you describe. There is a tiny dedicated pocket of Melissa diehard fans who are holding out hope for a traditional Jason Loves Melissa finale, ring, acceptance, and a tsunami of other posters who are very well aware that the path to the proposal, the events that follow, and the current state of affairs are nothing like that Fairy Tale Ending. If anything, FORT members deserve for credit for not stealing Steve’s thunder. He worked this story, let him break it, in all his glory, that’s my personal opinion anyway,.

Well I stand by my theory as being 90 percent correct then. LOL.
I want Steve to spill the behind the scenes details though. I want to hear about the manipulation.
Like did all three girls know on that final day that Melissa was going to dump him? Were they all in on it? Did Molly know what was going down? Was Jason punked? Or was it Molly and Jason who were punked and Jillian and Melissa knew. Or did Jillian know at all? Was it a last minute decision for Melissa or had she already told the producers she was going to turn him down so he could be with Jillian. Because that is real anguish etched on his face in those crying scenes so I don’t think he saw it coming. Were the producers aware of it and if they were I’d call that a dirty trick just for tv drama Well Melissa doesn’t seem to be too fond of Molly so maybe she didn’t know either. But she must know now that she was final 2 fodder in this mess. That’s dirty too.
So many questions. Come on Steve…spill it.

C’mon TPTB has become so incredibly formula in the last 3-4 series that is was due a change due to dropping viewership and lackluster bachelors/bachelorette’s
I don’t see this as a RS versus FORT, but Fliess and company versus the community to get some life back into his program.
SreenCaps and all can be manipulated, Fliess had the ending to this show about 6 weeks or more before the airing. that is a lot of time to spin reality to what HE wants the audience to see. this is not reality TV, this is about telling a story and he is doing his job.
the RS spin is what really happened behind the story, now that is reality not a story someone “wants” you to hear/see.
I can see a new spin off in the future.. behind the scenes of the bachelor. I think people will eat that up, if nothing else several thousand posts here and on FORT supports that this is what the people want.

On the last clues 2/3 and Montreal, I had one thing go through my mind right away. The one he chooses (Melissa?) has something shocking to tell him. She had a 2nd trimester abortion (and we know how much J loves kids) while she was a cheerleader. She may have gone to do this in Montreal because they are more lenient on performing 2nd trimester abortions. Mom and Dad, of course did not approve, know about this and are disappointed in her choices (both of men and her decision) so did not want to be on tv and/or they are estranged with the daughter. Hope I’m wrong.

The brilliant thing about rocknDboat is that it very well could be steve but half of us (me included) would never believe it.
Here’s one. What if those pre-released SC’s of the FRC are never even shown in the finale–what if they are completely fabricated to manipulate the audience and/or lay on the cutting room floor (like the other clips that were released and never made it on ( ie. Naomi and Jason riding horses…..) Wouldn’t that blow the minds of those die-hard screencap analyzing fans….

There are 2 proposals. He proposes to someone then changes his mind. The FRC has already been filmed, so they have to “re-film” a FRC. They don’t show us the first proposal on the finale. They show us the 2nd and don’t let us know about the 1st.

Okay I have just read every post! #248, #261 I agree with # 263. I really think #13 is the one who got it 90% right. And I think what #263 said could very well be how it happens. And yes – it seems that RS is one step ahead of ABC. Amazing how all of this has turned into such a frenzy! One more thing – somebody read my earlier post #246. The first article Feb. 11th says there has been a Bachelor renewal, but the second article Feb. 12th says it has not been renewed. Did I misread something?

I think the majority of the posters are right about the FRC not involving the humiliating, barbaric ritual of the F2 public rejection. I would like to carry this a step further…there will also not be an F3 rejection. There will be some big dramatic scene between Chris and Jason during what would be the F3 discussion between them before the rose ceremony. Jason will say he knows who he will select, can’t bring himself to hurt the F2 & F3 publicly. Asks to speak to them privately. Chris goes out to the waiting 3 women and repeats what Jason has told him. They looked shocked and worried. Chris asks them to go back to their rooms or holding tanks or whatever and says Jason will find a time to talk to them. Cue the dramatic music, fade to black, voice over says “Tune in next week for the dramatic conclusion”
Next week it begins with the usual recaps. Then scenes of women together talking, worrying about what is happening. Back to their rooms with them each talking directly to the camera about what Jason means to them and how they want to be the chosen one. The next scene goes straight to shot of Jason waiting for the final “one”. Limo pulls up, stereotypical shot of mystery foot exiting limo. Cut back to a nervous Jason. Shot of “feet only” walking down the pathway to Jason. Shot of Jason lighting up at the sight of his beloved…then…TA DA!!! Shot of happy face of the now revealed F1. Dramatic proposal without dragging the poor woman through wondering if she is the one while the bachelor goes through the usual “I think you are an amazing woman, but in the end I have chosen someone else, I don’t want you after all” Happy , happy, tears, get on knees, put on ring, embrace, pick up and twirl new fiance for dramatic aerial shot.
Then they do a flashback to the part where Jason goes to the F2, F3 individually and tells them how amazing they are, and what an amazing journey they have all had, and how he feels amazing to have known them, and how amazingly hard it was to chose between such amazing woman, and how he hopes they meet another amazing man and have an amazing life…you get the (amazing)picture.
And the DeAnna scene can still play into this when they talk about his choices & he tells her how awful it was to be down on his knees and then rejected. That would set up the scenario above.
Just my script for how it comes down to a “Shocking” ending.

So now after the F1 frenzy has been created, and so many people feel invested in this girl winning– Fleiss has the opportunity to go in and completely change the story……

My sister is a HUGE Bach fan. (I work nights, so I really miss a lot, it seems). She reads EVERY post on EVERY Bach forum out there, including this blog. She has filled me in on the drama over here, and has actually posted some things yesterday, I think.
Anyway, she just called me and said that one forum has basically said that TOMORROW @ NOON, someone with inside knowledge vows to break their silence on FORT ( hope I got that right.sorry), beating this site to the punch. She sleuths a lot, and says this doesn’t seem to be a lie. She is feverishly trying to find the page she read this on.
I guess we will see, but this guy here may want to hurry his big reveal along, as it seems you are all uber ready for him to!

Like everyone else, I can’t stop thinking about all this! I realized something I had been missing…when all of this clue stuff started, RS gave the credit for the shocking ending to ABC, not to Jason or the girls. I realized that ABC did something to change things up…not the participants. If most of the theories we’re coming up with were true, it would have nothing to do with ABC, it would be driven by the contestants. Whatever happens is predetermined and designed to happen—as in LOST. We the viewers are punked intentionally…not Jason or one of the women. So, the back story has to be the intentional set up of the season by ABC NOT anything the women do or don’t do throughout the process.

The reason they need an ATFR2 is to explain the backstory, why the F1 is uncertain, why her parents and brother are noshows, and the reconciliation-that’s juicy stuff.
No, I’m not a Mel fan. If I were a fan of anyone if would be Jil, but I don’t see someone with her brains, talent, drive, and adventurousness settling down in a 3 bedroom ranch home in the burbs with Jason’s brother. I don’t think Jason thinks she would do it either, and will let her go on Monday.

Okay, I have the clues narrowed down. K Moon refers to the moon stage, probably the mid-September full moon. Either Molly (in the tent) or Mel (unshown scene) became pregnant. 2/3 refers to the pregnancy stage on AFR show March 2nd, end of 2nd trimester. The woman knows at/b4 FRC and informs J. Here comes the near-vomit balcony scene with J. This is the “shocking” part. I assume this plays into his decisions/confessions at the FRC.
My 2nd theory is the one I proposed earlier about Mel having a 2nd trimester abortion in Montreal and revealing it to J before FRC.

I believe that all of the drama happens on the last day. Up until that point it runs as usual. There are screencaps that show this entire season right up to the final proposal. And it goes off like that I’m sure. Just when everyone thinks that’s the way it’s going to end…BAM….it doesn’t end. It’s something that happens at the time of and after that proposal that’s shocking. It is entirely possible that Jason spares Molly the wretched walk to the proposal alter. I can honestly see him doing this knowing himself how that feels. Molly will show up in a purple dress, I’m sure of it. And Melissa will show up after her in a blue dress, I’m sure of that too.
Melissa gets that proposal but as I’ve posted, I believe she turns him down. And he freaks out and cries hysterically. Then somehow he goes after Jillian and ends up engaged to her. But how did it get to that? When did the manipulation start and who was in on it?

In Mellissa’s pictures she posted, she doesn’t look like a newly engaged woman to a devoted father. She looks like the young, happening party girl she is!! If she was engaged to Jason before New Year’s (timeline) don’t you think she’d be off spending it with her fiance privately instead of partying it up and posting pictures for all the world to see? I doubt she’s trying to create a smokescreen…If I were IN LOVE….I’d want to be with my man not my girlfriends.

In my opinion, the comment that ABC “grew a brain and pulled a fast one” is because of the editing, not because they did or created something. In fact, RS has commented SEVERAL times about how good the editing is and that whoever did the editing shouldd get a raise. They pulled a fast one on us because ABC has had this formula that they know the sleuthers look at carefully and they have grown a brain and did something differently with the screen caps this time. Just my opinion.

I think it’s going to be interesting when somebody else — NOT ABC or RS — gets tired of this craziness and spills the secrets.
THAT will be jaw-dropping. Because we’re all on the edge of our seats waiting for the “finale” of this RS-ABC show-down, like watching a tennis match, and what’s going to happen instead is that out of left field, somebody else is going to plunk it all down for us. No fanfare, no crazy build-up, no clues, no insinuations, no self-aggrandizement, no navel-gazing; just the answer. Boom, there you go.
The info’s out there, somewhere. Many places, probably. ABC has some control over how the info disseminates, because they have contracts with everyone who has first-hand knowledge. RS has no control over the info. And ABC can’t totally control a line of leaks, if it is a long, untraceable line.
No way this secret’s going to keep until the finale/ATFR 1 & 2. No way. I see it as a three-way race to spill the beans between RS, ABC and “unknowns.” Who is going to crack first?

I know my post #312 seemed “ridiculous” but as we know it something that shocked even the unshockable RS. And things are not as they seem. All of the other scenerios seem not-that-shocking. Has anyone seen a very recent pic of Mel, Mol, or Gil? Baby=positive shocker. Abortion=negative shocker. I go with the baby shocker because there are 2 AFR shows so ABC can extend and whore-out the whole baby/marriage thing like with Trista and Ryan. JMO

I can only hope that the actual show will be something nearly as fun as all the guessing and speculation are. It’s been fun reading all the wild theories. And I hope that whatever the end of the end is, that it’s “real.” I know the producers manufacture and lead and mislead … but if Jason really has any guts what we’ll finally get is something “real” for him. In such a situation, all the twists and drama will have led to something I, as a viewer, get to feel good about, and that would be icing on the cake. I’ve never been one for drama for drama’s sake – I really sincerely hope that the later is NOT what all this is about. I, know, I’m dreaming, we’re talking the king of drama for drama’s sake … Meanwhile, Steve, thanks for keeping me laughing and having fun with this crazy show.

RS said something else in one of his blogs, he said “don’t hate the player, hate the game”. If Melissa does turn Jason down, maybe RS’ comments are saying not to hate Melissa for it (if she does indeed turn him down) as it is just a game. I also think Chris Harrison’s comments about Jason having “guts” and Jason being the “most mature” bachelor ever, is because I think Jason gets turned down yet again and CH was referencing Jason having the guts and maturity to handle something so hard and yes, shocking.

We’ve been wondering since the premiere why TPTB would make the F1 so obvious and easy for the sleuthers to figure out. Maybe that was part of their plan? Maybe they wanted people to know Mel is the F1 so she’d have a lot of fans cheering her on. (“Everyone loves a winner.” There is some truth in that, this show is a lot more fun for most people if the F1 is their favorite.)
If Jason does something idiotic in the finale and hurts Molly badly would we forgive him if we love Melissa and he ends up with her? Perhaps that is what they’re hoping.
This theory also fits in with Molly’s edit, she has been cast as the cold and kinda aloof woman who seems to be into it for the competition. Where is her fan club? There isn’t one. I see a lot of negative comments about her, based on the edit she has received. People have a “bad feeling” about her. Why would St. Jason take such a cold woman all the way to F2? Maybe because that isn’t how she really is, it’s how she has been edited? Harrison told us there’s a lot about her hometown date we didn’t see, for example Jason played beer pong for 2 hours with her family. That doesn’t sound like the Ice Queen Molly we know based on her edit. They couldn’t cast her as the bitch because she didn’t give them that kind of footage, so they worked with what they had and cut out a lot of positive stuff that would make us really like her or want her to be F1.
(I am not a Mel fan or a Molly fan, but I have become a Jillian fan. I expect her to go home next Monday though.)

Just a thought….all of this clue business has gotten me away from thinking about the show. But, seeing the blurred photo of Molly’s parents and her continued comments that she would never marry someone who’s parents didn’t approve made me think more about her. While watching last Monday’s episode, it seemed to me that after Molly’s repeated declaration that she wouldn’t marry someone who her family didn’t like…that they sure approved of Jason quickly. I think we’re on the wrong track. Perhaps that dinner was filmed seperately…even after the engagement because the first meeting didn’t go very well. IKD…tthis is driving me nuts….

In total agreement with 310 – RS said whoever was doing the editing deserved an Emmy.
I hope ABC is paying royalties to Nora Ephron, author of the screenplay for Sleepless in Seattle. As the show progresses, more and more hints have been dropped, similarities revealed. If the viewers didn’t get it from the outset, ABC built in a crescendo of references which will lead us to a frantic, suspenseful ending “will he get there in time?”… “will she still be there?”. And Ty will be involved.

Why else rent a special house on the water for Jason – one he is supposed to call home (it is NOT his home)? Why take the ladies out for a ride in order to point out the house that was used in Sleepless in Seattle?
ABC needed to manipulate the circumstances in order to ensure a dramatic ending similar to Sleepless. Hence, RS’s reference to needing to know what went on behind the scenes. Hence, the lawsuit we are hearing about.
I say, if we can figure out which one of Molly, Melissa and Jillian peels an apple while leaving the skin in one single strip, we’ll know our winner… at least the one set-up by ABC.

Mel is hiding something. She went on the show for fun, and didn’t expect to get too far due to her self esteem issues She is a partier into party boys and Jason isn’t even her type–too straight laced and conservative. She never expected whatever she’s hiding to be an issue because she never took the show or Jason seriously…..this was supposed to be her E entertainment audition.
Whelp……. Jason was into her, and that changed things. Ladies we all know that even if we’re not that into a guy, if he fights for us, it’s kinda sexy, and we may start looking at him with new eyes.
Suddenly, this E Entertainment audition turned into something serious, at least on Jason’s part. Her family was 100% aware that she went on the show for exposure, and didn’t want to go along with her manipulation of Jason. Maybe she developed some feelings for him and they don’t believe her.

btw, i’ve seen a couple of references to jillian’s recent newspaper interview ~ saying that since she said “jason never led anyone on” that she can’t be F1 (would imply she is speaking for others) … don’t be so sure … it could very well be a smokescreen! i can’t recall any former b’ette granting interviews while they were still part of the group still being aired …. suspicious, if you ask me!

Ok, I can’t handle it anymore. I am the same person who posted yesterday about personally knowing melissa.
Although I will not reveal anything, please remember that she is a person with feelings. She’s fun, loving, and kind. She knows how she has been edited and it’s not all correct. All I will say is that she is a good person with a beautiful heart.

Fleiss qouted in article stating that ending is shocking. He said that the couple seem happy and is hoping to air their wedding.
Wikipedia show Melissa being eliminated next episode, Jilian and Molly F2 and Molly as the winner.

Melissa really does seem sweet but she she doesn’t seem like she is a complete person yet and hasn’t really grown into a woman the way Jillian has. Even Molly, for as flat and one dimensional as they’ve edited her, seems to have a much better head on her shoulders and seems way more in touch with herself than Melissa. I would love to see Melissa on another season of the bacehlor…like in 5 or 10 years when she’s more mature and has a higher self-esteem.

If you do really know Melissa personally, I believe what you’re saying and for her sake I hope my theory is correct and she turned Jason down and helped him to pursue Jillian. I don’t think she’s a good match for Jason and the kind of life he’s offering and she may have been caught up in this thing and just wanting to be loved. But I hope it is her big heart that is instrumental in making sure that Jason finds happiness and contentment with the right choice and that she is given a chance to find her “true love” on the next Bachelorette.

Chef Scottie – If I can add a wrinkle to your theory, which I love by the way, maybe Molly is even OK with being “girl 2″. I’m not saying she’s a plant or spy, maybe she came into this trying to find love, then somewhere along the way, she (and Jason) realized they didn’t have ‘it’, so who knows? Maybe she even offered to be F2, so that Jason won’t have to humiliate/embarrass the woman who would have been F2. Which sort of fits with the 2/3 clue, and also fits the other clue (someone else posted, sorry I don’t remember who), which is MONTREAL = MOlly NoT REAL.
In RS’s latest blog (just put up), he talks about how certain people are ‘in on it’, meaning they’re in on the scam. If anyone hasn’t read RS’s latest entry, check it out. He tells what K-Moon/Rebecca means.

So, would ABC have kept this their little secret but now that RS has info and is going to let everyone know the inside scoop, Fleiss feels he must have another show about it? Why would anyone want to watch the show again, especially if it comes out that Jason and Mel did start dating before the show started.
I know that RS said that, to his knowledge, Jason and Mel didn’t know each other. But he never said unequivocally that they did not know each other.

I noticed when Shannon was eliminated that she said something to Jason right as she was leaving like ” I love your wife.” I took it to mean that she knew who would “win”… at first I just dismissed it, that I misread her lips…. but now that all this is going down, I’m starting to wonder… Does anyone still have this recorded and can go back and watch? Of course mine is deleted from my DVR…. so I can’t go back and check what I saw…maybe I was imagining things…

He can easily set up a link or spoiler warning so that anyone who does not want to know can avoid it. But I bet most of the people who are aware that RS even exists would not quit watching the show just because it was “spoiled.” To the contrary, I would enjoy watching the show unfold even more, being in on the secret.
I hope he posts soon before anyone else does.

I think from what RS has now explained, that the players are real and even the outcome, but that ABC did EVERYTHING they could possibly do to make the romance real and MAKE IT HAPPEN. (I’m not sure I would mind if someone did that for me… Sounds like a plan!)
Anywho, since the BIG problem has been that none of these relationships last, I believe the producers “stacked the cards” in favor of the obviously strongest connection (whoever that will play out to be) and MAKE DARN SURE THEY GIVE US A RELATIONSHIP THAT WORKS!

Okay…my 2/3 guess:
I wonder if 2/3 is explaining the relationship between Jason and his “betrothed”…if indeed the romance deepened between him and someone who has originally left (either Jill or Mel, depending on the scenario we’re talking about), then couldn’t you be referring to the fact that, by the ATFR2 is aired, he and his final, chosen love will have developed their relationship in two parts: the 2 months of filming/ vs. the 3 months “post-production”, when, as many have theorized, the rest of the story actually unfolded?
As to the double entendre of the 2/3…perhaps he lets 2 go at the same time, leaving him with just one girl for F1, to spare the others from the humiliation of finding themselves in the distressing position of F2.

Why else would he say, “It’s going to be shocking. It’s the best ending we’ve ever had.†I told you this three weeks ago. Calling it the “best ending ever†though is still a matter of opinion. But it is the most shocking.
Sorry but a guy changing his mind, editing being jacked around, girls getting sent home early and then recalled, “real” proposals somewhere other than the show shows us,….none of this is SHOCKING. Helllooooooooooooo…not shocking!!!!

Tonight it came to me that Montreal means MoNotReal (Molly Not Real) then I log on and see some of you think this also. It makes sense Jason hated being the F2. He understands that pain. There is no real romantic stuff with them. The tent date always felt really strange to me. He picks her up, they spend the whole night together, he takes her home and she wears his clothes. This is just not a normal date that early in the show. Something doesn’t feel right with Molly. Could 2/3 mean that 2 becomes 3…a pregnancy. It sure looked like Jillian and Jason got very close on their last date.

Really? After all of that the answer is your clue is that its all about the How?! Then HOW does this help give a clue as to who wins? Because honestly, most people probably know the show is scripted and staged but they watch it anyway to see WHO he ends up with. I don’t see how this clue was helpful to guessing who he picks… there isn’t even a hint in any of your posts as to who actually wins. Just wordy speeches so that when it is revealed you can go back and pick out random things you said that match the conclusion. Who are you and how do you have info on the show if you dont work for ABC?

ok i didn’t read every post here so this may already have been mentioned. with all the editing going on this year, i beleive that the shot we are seeing of jason proposing is actually from last year when he was down on his knee with deanna. i’ve watched the previews for next week and seen the shots of the girl with the pinky ring and his suits are differnt. i really belive that the girl with the pinky ring is a shot of last year’s finale. i might be crazy but i really don’t think ABC would be stupid enough to give this year’s finale away so early.

Great scoop, but I don’t agree with everything you said. First of all, I think Melissa was in on it from the beginning as I never saw any chemistry between her and Jay. Her parents refused to participate (as they probably knew the deal) and she made a point to tell national TV that she is always dumped. Isn’t she a Dallas cheerleader or something simialr? I bet she did this for publicity, to generate sympathy and support for herself.
I frankly saw no chemistry between Jason and any of the women, besides his wanting to jump every woman in sight. Bur Molly was the first to have sex/overnight with him — which shhe advertised to the entire house. She also came from a wealthy family. She is rich and a good matron.

I find all of this almost impossible to believe. All the recent Bachelor and Bachelorette shows have been total trainwrecks. For it to be true that Jason, Melissa and ABC cooked this thing together will turn me off, along with a zillion other fans.
Have they lost their minds, or are your theories just a product of your imagination? I’m anxiously awaiting the outcome which will determine if I ever watch this show again.
