My Interview with Megan Parris
The other night, I got the chance to have over an hour conversation with the outspoken Megan Parris, of this seasons “Bachelor.” Cast immediately on the first night as the villain of the house, Megan definitely had a lot to overcome. In this interview she discusses numerous topics such as: What was she promised that ABC didn’t deliver on? What was the biggest problem she had with the edit she got? Was she as disliked in the house as ABC led us to believe? What really happened on that “General Hospital” date? Did she ever feel any connection with Jason? What are her thoughts on the fellow Bachelorettes? What WASN’T shown from the “Women Tell All” episode? And most importantly, what does she think of the rumors that I broke last week of a Jason break up with Melissa and now is currently seeing Molly? Reality Steve interviews Megan Parris of the “Bachelor”
Bear with us. It’s long. It might take a few minutes to load once you click the link since its almost exactly an hour and a half. But hey, I asked a lot of questions, and she had a lot to say. I want to thank Megan again for her time and her very candid answers. I think a lot of you will have a different opinion of her after listening to the interview. If you don’t, then you’re just a cynical person who probably pulls wings off butterflies…ha ha. I can honestly say, Megan couldn’t have been any nicer and more gracious and the editing of her character on the show by ABC is another prime example of how manipulative they can be. Anyway, hope you enjoy it. UPDATE: Crap. It looks like the last 30 minutes of the interview were cut off. I will do my best to try and recover it. Sorry. I have no idea what happened. I apologize for that. If I can still retrieve the old file, I will tell you when it goes up. Until then, this is about 53 minutes and there’s still plenty of good stuff in there. Maybe Megan will want to do the last half hour again. I’ll let you know what the status is sometime on Friday. Once again, I apologize.
The latest: After hearing from numerous sources yesterday, it looks like the ATFR 2 has been taped and Melissa was a part of it. However, I have no idea what happened and will probably not find out anything before it airs on Tuesday. So, just wanted to give you a heads up. And just for the record, yesterday I wrote in the blog, “Just to update, I have no new news on the ATFR 2 taping. But if I had to guess, I wouldn’t be surprised if that show is cancelled.” How people can read that and come to the conclusion that “Reality Steve just said the ATFR 2 is cancelled!” I have no idea. Are you reading the same thing I am? I used the phrases “If I had to guess” and “I wouldn’t be surprised if”. What part of those phrases made it a definite that it’d be cancelled? Some people amaze me. Can March 2nd happen, like, tomorrow? I almost can’t even wait four more days. Once again, selective reading. People believe what they want to believe.
And hey, in case I didn’t mention this 100 times already, here’s what you need to know for Mondays finale. When Jason left New Zealand, he was engaged to Melissa. He broke up with her at the ATFR 1 taping in January and started dating Molly. They are still together. ANYTHING being reported to the contrary is flat out wrong. This is something I knew about back on Jan. 27th, which is why I decided to run with it. I don’t know how much clearer I can make that. As for what happens during that ATFR show, it looks like I’ve gotten some confirmation on some things we might be seeing. I will update everyone on that news on Monday, the morning of it airing. I want to double check my sources, but I’ve come in to some very interesting information about this “Emotions run high at the unexpected and shocking ending of Jason’s journey to find true love” (ABC press release quote) at the ATFR. Coming Monday. Until then, enjoy the interview, have a great weekend, and buckle your seat belts for Monday night. Even though I’ve already spoiled it for you, it’ll be interesting to see how ABC tries to spin it. However they do it, it’s still gonna be a bumpy ride. And not a fun one for Melissa either. Well it looks like RS is now back tracking on his whole “it was always about Moilly” conspiracy theory.
Remember this whole firestorm started because RS said that ABC, Jason, and Molly conspired to have Jason propose to Melissa knowing full well that he really wanted Molly and that he was going to humiliate Melissa on national TV just for ratings.
Now all RS says is that Jason proposed to Melissas and then broke up with her and is now dating Molly.
In essence RS is finally admitting that the conspiracy theory was simply specualtion on his part and had no basis in fact. If he had proof we would have seen it by now.
I think RS is basking in all of the attention his accusation got him, but when it was time to “put up or shut up” he
could not deliver the goods.
RS gave us all a bunch of ridiculous clues to decipher but now it is obvious that he was really CLUELESS.
RS your credibilty has been destroyed and now you can go back to being an anonymous guy with a semi-humorous blog that nobody pays any attention to.

I will watch the Final Rose Ceremony. I have no intention of watching the AFTR 1 or 2. I have no desire to see Melissas heart broken. This relationship between Molly and Jason is doomed from the start. No wonder none of his relationships have worked in the past. I really wanted to see him happy. I just never got the feeling that Molly was there for the right reasons, only to win. I guess she won in the end, second choice. I’m so disappointed in him cheating on Melissa while engaged. What a joke!!

Hey Steve, thanks for the interview with Megan. You’re right, I do like her a lot more after listening to this–and she’s not nearly the potty mouth she was portrayed to be. Outstanding interview Steve!! Kudos to you AND Megan. She seems to be quite educated and very nice. To bad ABC gave her such a bad edit.
After listening to the interview, I think Jason was manipulated by ABC. I just do not think Jason is that cold of a person to play people knowingly especially woman looking for love and opening their hearts. I totally believe everything you say, I just think Jason was manipulated heavily!!

perfect karmic ending for JaScum
i just realized what the perfect karmic ending for JaScum bachelor series would be, if it’s all true about him treating melissa badly.
so he’s engaged to melissa, and starts seeing molly behind melissa’s back. molly’s parents assume he’s chosen molly, because she can’t really confirm or deny, so they are ok with it. then they see the show, and see him and jillian in the hot tub, see him with melissa, etc etc, see him chose melissa, and then realize that their precious molly is sloppy seconds. they see the guy who is engaged to someone else cheat on his betrothed with their daughter. they see him all over these other women, and watch him dump all over melissa on national tv, and bingo they decide, rightfully so, this guy is scum. they tell molly they no longer approve of mr divorced.
molly said she could never again be with someone who her parents did not approve of, so after JaScum dumps melissa, and then gets with molly, molly dumps JaScum because her parents can no longer stand him.

If Jason does propose to Melissa…while having doubts…and then dumps her in front of cameras…then no matter who he is dating..should be VERY wary.
If he did it once…who’s to say he wouldn’t do it again?
If this happens then anyone involved deserves the backlash they will receive.
No person with principles would humilate anyone in front of others. Contract or not.
If Jason does this, no matter what ABC threatens,he is not a man, and any woman should be concerned about even being near him ,much less dating him.

Here is what RS told us in his video:
“ABC will present this whole scenario as Jason just changed his mind after thinking this over long and hard. I’m here to tell you I have every reason to believe he didn’t. This was all set in motion from the very beginning that there would be a storyline of: If you want to be with Molly, then you have to pick Melissa. We will have a breakup on the “ATFR”, where you’ll dump Melissa, and say you want to start dating Molly. That’s what you’ll get the night of the finale. ”
These are very provocative and serious charges Steve. You said basically that ABC set out to deliberatley humiliate Melissa on national TV, and that both Jason and Molly were willing partitcipants.
If you are going to make claims like this and you want to have any credibillity with your readers then you have an obligation to present evidence to back up those claims.
I for one have seen not one shred of evidence from you about this claim, and it appears that you are now trying to downplay the whole thing.
Those who say that I have been “selectively reading” Steve’s blog please feel free to show me what evidence Steve has given us that this was all planned in advance.

Great interview-what we got to hear. Megan comes across as mature, well spoken, and positive about all the women in the house. I cannot emphasize enough about those last descriptions of her. She seems like a strong, capable, self-sufficient and likeable woman. I have definitely changed my opinion of her based on this interview. Obviously, ABC does a lot of editing to make characterizations of people to create drama.

No one is comprehending this. RS never said he could PROVE Jason and Molly dated PRIOR to him breaking up with Melissa on NATIONAL TV.
However, if you use deductive reasoning you can understand, and it’s a question he asked Megan as well, why he thinks this.
What girl, after getting dumped on national television and NOT SPEAKING to the guy, who is engaged to someone else, is going to go on television, see the guy break up with the girl then just take him back?
Like Megan said…she would say “OMG. Are you kidding me?”
That’s why it makes sense that Jason and Molly either: a)had interaction behind Melissa’s back or b)knew she was the one from some pt prior to the FRC (i.e it was planned).

I can’t hear the interview…my sound is out on my computer. Boo! Can anyone give a brief summary? Also, I just want to say the best part of TB is RS and I never tried to “solve” the clues even though I really wanted to know what was gonna happen. Yes, I used to read the last few pages of a book before I finished it too. Having enjoyed RS for a while now, in my opinion, he must be confident in his source to have revealed what he has. Jeez, I would not have been able to keep it in either if it were me. As far as “proof” goes…I don’t think I would expect anyone to betray a confidence just to satisfy someone else’s curiousity and even if RS were to offer “proof” some would still not believe him. Heck, even after the show airs next week, some folks still won’t believe it. That’s just the way it is. I say thanks for making this season more interesting – although next season it’ll be nice just to go back to the old, sarcastic recaps we know & love. Keep up the good work

I didn’t see the interview with Megan but I just wanted to say that no matter what the final edits look like (because there is no doubt ABC will spin the heck out of this to make their golden boy look good) they will never ever get the audience to like Molly at this juncture.
The audience loves Melissa (and Jillian) and even if they show her going Ninja on Jason I am sure he deserved it…lol
They edited Molly all along to be smug, overconfident and yes a cold fish who did the sleazy tent scene and walk of shame with pure glee. That phoney, hypno-eyed smiling jack o latern is not someone anyone would care to see be a part of Ty’s life. (And yes I think the audience has grown to care about the results more this year with slimey Jason’s child involved )Wow what a shining moment for you Molly! Or should I say Sharon aka Jason & Molly damage control?
Unless the show ends with Jason picking one girl and staying with that one girl and its still somehow “freakish and Hetwork- esque” Fleissy hung himself because we will know a redo when we see it. Fleiss dug the grave here for Jason and Molly, not RS.

A little confused. Not that I don’t believe you Steve, I think a lot of what you are saying makes sense, but you said that the AFTR 1 was tapped Jan. 18 and you said, “Try and find me a Jason interview that was done AFTER the 1st “ATFR” was shot. I doubt very much if TCB is OUR TCB – we talked in depth last night and there’s no way that’s really TCB. Someone is just taking over other’s names on this board. So don’t judge the name – judge the person who is using the name.
I’m not able to see the video – I tried to download it, but it’s been 45 minutes and it’s still not in – and I do have high speed internet. Don’t know what the problem is – but HELP! Steve – could you please post a written account?
As for who believes and who doesn’t believe RS – doesn’t matter. Personally, I believe. Some of you don’t. IT DOESN’T MATTER! It will be over in a few days – then you all can say “I told you so” – or we can. IT DOESN’T MATTER.
Also – was Molly seeing Jason behind Mel’s back? Probably. We’ll never know for sure because they will deny ’til they die. I found that interesting that Megan claims Jason said that, too.
Jason and DeAnna had their Observatory date week 2 and because he received a date rose, lived in the mansion with DeAnna the following week 3. The other guy in the mansion that week was Robert who was cut (along with Fred) during the week 3 2-on-1 date. DeAnna arrived home early, upset and Jason spent second half of the evening and the following day consoling her.
Maybe it is just me but doesn’t make a whole lot of sense that Jason would have told Megan he didn’t spend time getting to know DeAnna until the end.
There were a couple more inconsistent remarks, but I need to check another interview before commenting.

I’m mostly a lurker, but occasionally I want to jump in. Between late last night and this morning I’ve been totally appalled by the the things people will say when they think they are anonymous. Besides the pejorative swearing, I find it very disturbing that people (men?) feel it is OK to make ad hominem attacks on RS and his veracity by calling him gay. In this day and age, it should never be an acceptable slur or swear word. Has what happened on Grey’s Anatomy or movies such as Milk made no impression or raised the public’s consciousness?

Yes – shut the comment section down! It is amazing how caustic the bach fans are this season – egos are up and roaring! Everyone needs to relax and either watch or don’t watch, believe you or don’t believe you, believe abc or don’t, right? Well I go back to this….
What is shocking for some is not shocking to others…the word “shocking” has many meanings….
Keep i mind that about 1% of people that watch TB actually lurk on these boards…that is very small compared to the millions that watch….
Everyone is taking the info that RS gave us and making the puzzle fit together but what we are forgetting is that they would have still fit together before we got the info but the outcome would have been different.
I dont blame RS at all for coming forward with what he was told, he was just given the wrong information, was it done on purpose? I dont know but probably.

Holy Crap! I went on the posts last night after I left. I had no idea all of that was being said! No wonder he wants to shut the comments down. I stand corrected. I have to reiterate that the TCB & Sharon on today’s board are not those that were on last night. These are totally opposite of what they were saying yesterday. #214 who knew – i don’t know about MP3s either. and i’m 48. we’re probably the old fogies here, lol! it may have something to do with Adobe Media Player or something. i think that helps with this sort of thing, but that is a guess. the interview shows how kind Megan is. what a bad edit she got, how she got along with the girls, that she and Jason had alot of talks, but no real romance, that in college she was an All American Athlete in lacross twice and as a coach she makes $300/hr and the boards make her look like a welfare mom. she also talks about how bad things are with her babies father and how his side is who makes her look bad on the boards. about how ABC promised to let her see her son if she was there more than 5 days but didn’t deliver. that is some of it.

226 Bachfanforever – thanks for the info. Sounds like ABC did a real number on Megan. I think she was a little rough around the edges, but maybe she has had to develop some toughness. Being the athlete she obviously is, she probably isn’t used to the alcohol which may have loosened her mouth (potty mouth) a bit.

#237 who knew – Megan did say she wasn’t a drinker, she spent her time with her son. that actually Stephanie encouraged her to have a fun time as the two of them wouldn’t get this again. it was their time to have a bit of a life. also, her son was in great hands with her parents. she spoke well of all the other girls and said she’d keep in touch with all of them. she said many came to her after that vote the first night to apologize for voting for her, they didn’t even know she had a son. their first impression was wrong, because she was so quiet that night, she felt out of her element at the party. she told of how she came to apply, which was basically last minute. it was all very interesting, she told what little she knew of Jason from his last season.

I’m sorry it’s come to this. Poor RS. I agree, it’s gotten completely out of control. To the degree of seriousness people are taking this…wow. It’s too bad people aren’t that passionate when it comes to serious issues like the trouble our country is facing. It’s entertainment, and while I realize people are disappointed in ABC and the folks that have participated in this joke of a season, it is just a show. And while I realize people need/want an escape and don’t like to feel used or played with, you should understand that any “reality competition” – and yes, the Bachelor is under that category – is not something you can put your trust and faith in.

My understanding of the “married man” bit was that someone on FORT was responding to a post about why Mollys parents did not like the BF and they used “married man” as an example…somehow it started being posted that she actually was seeing a married man BUT seems like there was a poster on here that would not confirm or deny that is was indeed a married man…..She did not think it was right to tell Mollys bus.

I agree that the foul langauage is uncalled for.
I have been a critic of RS ever since he started bashing everyone invlolved with TB.
Of course it is his Blog and he has the right to say whatever he wants.
My only critcism was that I belive he was acting irresponsibly when he said “I have reason to believe…”.
What were those reasons? He never told us.
So then what happened was that a lot of people began bashing Jason’s character, Molly’s character, and ABC in general.
All because Steve “had reason to believe”.
I and others have reason to believe that Steve is wrong.
But none of the disagreements justify vulgar language. The vast majority of the poaters on this blog did not use vulgarity.
It is a shame that a few wrotten apples spoiled the bunch.
I still believe that is unfair.

IMO – RS is right and if anything after that changes it is because either abc put their spin on it or….maybe just maybe after Jason ended things with Mel and started dating Mol….he decided that it was Mel that he wanted and they did get back together and that may be why she agreed to do the ATFR 2. I know I am reaching and it is probably absurd but it would be shocking (that she took him back) and we would all still get our happy ending… RS would be right up till when he went back to Mel.

Some people are saying they KNOW what really happened and they KNOW Jason is happy with Mel. I believe most of them are basing that on a couple people who are pretending to be related to Jason. They have been stringing them along all season, before the show even hit the air. There is really no reason why relatives would be admitting that Jason broke his 5 million dollar confidentiality contract by telling them how it ended. They would not put him at risk like that. They love him too much. That is why I believe those “relatives” are hoaxers doing this for kicks.
If he did tell his mom in strict confidence why would she run to an internet message board and tell strangers after her son swore her to secrecy? That makes zero sense!
Think about it, would you risk your child’s future by exposing him to that kind of lawsuit, just to make a bunch of strangers excited about a tv show?
Let’s pretend the relatives are real and they actually know how it ended because they saw Jason and Mel in New Zealand. For some weird reason they feel comfortable telling strangers this info on the internet, even though they signed contracts saying they would keep their mouths shut. Maybe, just maybe, they don’t know J and Mel broke up in mid January because Jason didn’t tell anyone in his family. He signed a contract not to reveal the ending, why would he start blabbing to everyone in his family?!

My 2cents. When you create a public blog or a public forum, you get nice folks and not nice folks, But the bottom line, you made it public and people can post what they want. If you don’t want it like that, create a private forum where you have control over who joins and who posts. I believe RS love the spotlight and that’s why it’s public. I have a sports fans board that is private and I decide who are members and who don’t ‘fit’. 282-Sharon – when I say that abc will put their spin on it I mean that because now that RS has told us what he knows to be true they can and will change whatever they can to stop the negative publicity. So in the end you and I will believe what we want and so will the others. I have a lot of those girls on my myspace and facebook page and they all seem to know more of what is going on and they are all a little ticked off so IMO I think that Steve knows what he knows and he is right and the girls know more than they can say and they are mad too… Now ABC will try to fix what they have done to themselves however they can. Maybe, just maybe – Jason will realize he made a mistake with Molly and go back after Mel.

Had to leave for a bit – had company.
The thing about Molly dating a married man – don’t know when I heard it first, but a friend of hers wouldn’t deny it. Kind of sounded like it is true – although in the whole scheme of things, it isn’t important. Her parents are apparently no happy right now either – whether that’s because Mol is with J or because she’s not, the friend didn’t know.
Personally, although I believe Steve, I want Pink to have the right ending!! Steve can be right up to that point – but I REALLY want Melissa to be the one – not to WIN, but to have the option of staying with or leaving J. I don’t want to see her humiliated on tv.

AImee-I see your point but RS’s persepctive isn’t the only way that things could add up. There are so many directions that make sense and what RS is saying is based on 90% speculation. He even admits that most of it is his “opinion”. The problem I have is his “opinion” are the parts that make Jason, Molly or whomever look like completely horrible people and that is hard for me to believe. It also makes it as if many of these people are actors, which I don’t believe AT ALL. Don’t you think that a very plausible reason for many of the women being “upset” is because they were edited to make them fit a certain “type” (which they do in all reality shows) on the show and not because of anything having to do with the love story of Jason and whomever? I mean in most of the women who got to really know Jason, such as Naomi, Stephanie, and Jillian have nothing but kind and positive things to say about him that back up what we have seen thus far of how is on the show and from what we have seen from him on Deanna’s show…if you think RS has these “sources” as he claims and won’t even look at any possibility that he has been fed wrong or inaccurate info. then of course you are going to interpret everything that leads you to RS’s conclusion, and only his conclusion. If you actually take out what RS says you will see there are plenty of other ways things could happen, and why things are the way the seem that actually leads to a completely different outcome other than RS’s.

BigEd, its been a while (I think beginning of Jan) since anyone has mentioned an engagement. Someone on Fort seems to think that maybe Mr. Mesnick changed his mind within a couple of days of the FRC and was “informed” that he had to stay “engaged” or “attached” until the FRC was initially broadcast. Their opinion is that Mr. Mesnick (serial proposer) hounded Fleiss & Co and they came up with the scenario that Steve has described.
In any event if the scenario pans out as Steve has told us, then it is shocking no-one has ever ditched someone at an ATFR and then gone on publicly to the F2. Should make for interesting and cringe worthy viewing.

i have seen him cringe when some of the girls go in for a kiss…like he said, what do you do? Also, if you have ever been in a hot tub or bath with alcohol, the heat of the water speeds up and intensfies the effect of the alcohol. Jill admitted that the reason it was so hot was due to the wine.. I think he is naturally touchy feely and needs the same in return to feel validated…i know a lot of men and women like this. they have to be pawned over constantly…think he may be like this. My opinion of Jason is clouded, I said that yesterday. I didn’t like his edit in B4 (thought he was edited as a weak willed wuss) and think he’s been edited in B13 to be a bit of a playboy.
Even Brad who was reviled for not choosing anyone NEVER kissed more than one woman in a single day. Jason Mesnick has been lip locking and swapping spit with 5 or 6 women in an evening. Rose ceremony evenings see him locking lips with Molly, Melissa, Jillian and Naomi and others, breathmint anyone?
Jason Mesnick “fell in love” with Deanna Pappas less than six months ago, he now tells us that he has “fallen in love with two women” (yep its the party line, showing indecision and all that); the fact that he has proposed twice (or appears from screen caps for this show to have proposed twice); says that he’s in love with falling in love or marriage. God help the woman he eventually ends up with!

Coming into this season Jason was my favorite bachelor of all times. His story last year with Deanna really worked on my heart. I thought what a great guy. He just wants someone to love and to love him and have a happy family. During this show I did not see the same Jason I saw last season. Maybe it was the editing. I don’t know. 385-I would suggest you put yourself in his shoes for a few seconds or at least try to and think about what it must be like to have all that attention. I think considering that and all that goes along with this experience, as I could only imagine, he handled himself respectfully, and as gentlemenly as I would have ever imagined. One could argue that he was truly there for the right reasons and therefore wanted to try and get to know as much about the chemistry and fit in each women he did get really close to, and just “talking” in the short amount of time he has to do this would never give him, let alone anyone that answer. I think your standards of him are a bit too high considering this rare situation, not to mention I think he has been the most respectful of the women out of all the bachelors to date.

Jen Shafty, and Womack are the least liked, with I imagine Doc Travis, Guiney and a couple of others being close behind in the dislike department. It follows. No long term relationship. We don’t like them . Human nature, I guess.

I have said it before, none of the girls have ever said anything negative about him…maybe they aren’t allowed? Not sure. I just don’t get the horny, all over everyone, vibe from him. Can I hang out with him awhile and see if I do?
Seriously, I don’t get that. He does kiss a lot of them but you almost have to think of it like speed dating. He has to choose the 1 for him out of 25 of them in like what 6 weeks? And I don’t know about you but i think you know immediately when you kiss someone whether you are attracted to them or not. Sharon, If you see my posted, I’m telling you my view is clouded by the editing. Jason is being edited as a horn dog who can’t keep his lips off women. Now why he’s being edited that way is for Mike Fleiss to know and we’ll never know.
I’m a 50 (plus) year old women and don’t particularly care for someone appears to care for nothing other than the “chemical” side of the equation, which is what Jason is being edited as caring about. Note his conversation with Jillian when he let her go and she said she was looking for the ultimate friend, he responded with, but there’s got to be passion (paraphrasing) too; he’s being edited as someone who only cares about the physical side. For me that’s a real turn off!

412-If you choose to look at an openly admitted “edited” side of him then you must agree that isn’t a fair account of him, for you at least right? I mean I do recognize the editing that goes on and for me if they intended to edit him to look like a horndog, they did a poor job to say the least. I saw a very respectful, genuine, funny and gentle Jason as well, and when you take into consideration the editing, most likely he really is something in between, not perfect but not a typical horndog as well, perhaps a normal guy that we all thought he was grom the get go…don’t you think that may be the “real” him?

#413 Sharon, yep not going to get an argument from me on that score, but I had my share of guys who were only interested in one thing when I was in my 20’s, this is a 32 year old man who is also a divorced father.
For Mike Fleiss to edit him as being someone who appears to be only interested in the physical side of a relationship says something to me, and its not nice! Remember though Fleiss has a habit of throwing people under the bus, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that Jason’s edit is not the sterling “bachelor” that you all saw last season. Again, I didn’t particularly care for him then either.
BTW, I watch this show purely for entertainment purposes and enjoy people watching and see incongruities (sp?), of which this show has had many this season.

I find it interesting to note that Jason couldn’t get the ONLY woman around on The Bachelorette to fall in love with him. And yet, tune into The Bachelor and he has 4 women falling all head over heels in love with him!
In 6 wks with Deanna he couldn’t win the love of the ONLY woman around and now we are to believe in 6 weeks on this latest show he had 4 women..the F4..professing their love for him?
I find that funny and odd and definitely unbelievable.

#413 Interesting because unless I know someone (like the guys you met who were just trying to get one thing) I tend to refrain from labeling someone that extreme and harsh. Seriously, the horndog thing makes me chuckle because some are kind of acting like he was caught smacking behinds and staring at their breasts a lot while on camera. Anything I did see that was physcial in any way, even down to a kiss, was in my opinion very normal behavior from a guy actually, which is exactly how I view him (normal). I didn’t see anything that was tasteless so far and as you admitted you didn’t really care for him last season either where he didn’t come off as horny in the least, so I think it may be safe to say you already have a preconceived opinion of him that wasn’t going to be swayed.

#421 I think you need to go back and watch some episodes he made out with Shannon (she and he were kissing when she was wiping her nose, and she got napkin caught on her lip) it was replayed at the WTA; Nikki and he had a very awkward kiss the night she had the very revealing dress on, the dress that emphasized her “girls”!

Just because 1 woman didn’t choose him out of 25 men doesn’t mean 4 or 5 out of 25 women don’t have differing feelings. If one man doesn’t find you attractive, does that mean no man ever will, the rest of your life? Also, he is the prize. Of course they ‘fell in love’ with him. This explains why it never works out in the ‘outside’ world.

I personally don’t get where so many are dissing on Jason for being a horndog and kissing all the women. First off, the majority of the women he kissed pushed themselves on him. What’s he supposed to do–be rude and push them away? Then you’d all be dissing on him for being rude. Look at the stupid General Hospital date, where Fleiss had every single woman sticking her tongue down Jason’s throat. What’s the guy supposed to do? The only women I can recall him truly kissing and looking as if he wanted to were Melissa, Molly and Jillian. There might have been one time when he kissed Naomi that he looked somewhat into it, but most of his kisses with her looked uncomfortable and almost brotherly.
I always think the Bachelors have it far tougher than the Bachelorettes because they have to put up with crap like this. You think Fleiss would have dreamed of having DeAnna do a General Hospital date where she was forced to kiss pretty much every guy there? Never! And for that matter, how about the next Bachelorette show having a plaster penis date promoting testicular cancer awareness? Yeah, right.
Anyway, I think if people would step back and try to be more objective, they’d realize that a lot of the kissing going on was initiated by the women themselves, and Jason was in a no-win situation as far as how he handled it or could have handled it.

When Jason became a F2 he had far more time with Deanna for her to figure out if she was in love with him. The other 23 men were history. After all that extra time with her he still didn’t earn Deanna’s love. And now I’m suppose to believe that he is such a prize this time around….new and improved …that the F4 found him irrisistable? How can that be?

It’s a mix. Some absolutely threw themselves on Jason. Lauren was pushing for a kiss, Shannon went in at a really bad time, and even though Megan’s was on a GH date it was awkward.
The flip side is he did seem to use kissing as a communication tool this season. lol The part I didn’t like was saying Jillian was more the friend after that steamy hot tub scene. That was a joke. Say you just werent’ as into her as the others but don’t try and play the friend because that ship sailed. lol I don’t get the feeling Jason gets tons of women in real life so he probably got a little more out of control than he would in ordinary circumstances.

I was one who adored Jason on his season. Having said that, I don’t care for him this season. Has nothing to do with RS or any comments. Something just seemed off. My husband noticed too. After discussing it, we came to the conclusion that we were so caught up in Deanna’s season and the hype behind him.
After a good break between seasons, we watched with fresh eyes and both of us felt he just didn’t seem like the same guy. I don’t hate him or anything(unless he dumps Melissa on tv).
Just my opinion.

Hi, I’m a long term observer and this is my 1st day leaving a comment…
Check out Komonews there is a video posted there after WTA with comments from the ladies and Jason.
This comment Jason made is confusing. “I think Stephanie and Jillian were the two girls I was looking forward to seeing most,” he said. “They are the two I build the strongest connections with, and Jill, without a doubt, she was my ultimate friend throughout the whole experience. Of course, I wanted to see her. I didn’t get to see her enough.”
If that were the case then why at the WTA was he so cold towards both Steph and Jillian?.. Also, he was made aware that blogs were loaded with different conspiracies of all kinds, he sounded surprised and stated he didn’t know this, yea right, whatever, lol .

Just my opinion, but I think the WTA editing is what Jason appear cold to Jillian and Steph. You could tell that the editors chopped the heck out of all the interactions and dialogue, making it extremely awkward and, I think, making Jason look far worse than he probably was. I said it yesterday and I’ll say it again–Fleiss and crew used this year’s WTA for PR purposes. They know their viewers probably aren’t going to be very happy with what’s coming. Do they care? No, because it’s all about ratings for them. They spent the majority of the WTA trying to sell us a “Jason is loved by all” story, right along with a “See, Molly isn’t so bad” story. Then they threw in the “Look at the success stories that have come from the show” routine. Nothing but PR. The whole thing stunk!

My husband and my friends husband’s occupy their time doing something else. On the computer, playing the guitar, etc. I continuously tell my husband to watch something. Look honey, isn’t she cute. Honey, watch-rewind-you have got to hear what he/she just said. So my point is, if the higher viewership of this show is women, why did they edit Jason to look so bad? I mean Fleiss is a pretty smart guy. He has got to know what women would like to see in a man. The only thing I can come up with is that is the best they could get out of Jason. I agree with those of you who feel Jason was cold to Jill at the WTA. Something just didn’t seem right with him. I also was okay with him last season with D – felt sorry for him. But this season, I have not cared for him. He is different – maybe in way over his head with so many women. I agree that he probably isn’t used to have hot women falling all over him.
Abc made him out to be a wonderful, woman-treat-him-badly, single dad. This year, he’s been shown as robotic – no real conversation – begging for the ladies to say they love him – and taking advantage of what the final 3 did or didn’t offer him – then calling them good friends. And I didn’t know about RS until 2 or 3 weeks ago. RS just gave me a different perspective on things.
Some of you may think RS is doing this for attention – I don’t know – maybe he is, but I enjoy him. Some of us think Jason is looking for attention – maybe he isn’t, and I don’t enjoy him. We are all going to have our own likes and dislikes – probably based on our own life experiences. Doesn’t make us right or wrong – we are just all different.

Actually, I agree, observed Jason’s nervousness at the WTA and he had 4 minutes therfore could explain his cool abruptness. Just curious as to why he’d comment after the WTA he had such a dear friendship with Jillian.. Sorry, but I didn’t feel their interraction as being such great friends anymore. Then again, maybe it’s because he’s uncomfortable with Melissa and Jillian’s close friendship. Just my observation !.

#463 — Again, just personal opinions, but I don’t think Jason did this for attention so much as I think he got in way over his head. I think every single one of the bach/ettes who comes back on and does their own show finds out just how difficult it really is being on that side of the fence. I can’t imagine how mentally and emotionally exhausting and stressful it is, trying to get through the process and truly find someone you can spend the rest of your life with while at the same time having to pretend to be interested in people you’re really not interested in at all, having to reciprocate kisses you don’t want to be a part of but aren’t allowed to give that away, etc. Then, when the show’s done filming, ABC has control of your life for months on end, and you’re forced to make the media rounds, give interviews, and so forth, all the while trying not to give away the ending. It has to be pretty rough!
Having said that, if Jason really does blindside Melissa as RS says he does, then he deserves whatever bad karma is coming his way. Grow a spine and do what’s right, for crying out loud! I was one of the few who actually applauded Brad Womack for doing just that. He’s about the only one who ever has.

On top of that, and this is just a guess, but perhaps Jason was doing everything he could to downplay his relationship with Jillian to help spare the feelings of the woman he’s now with. Imagine how shocking it would be for her to see his hot tub scene with Jillian. And if everything is as RS has told us, there’s bound to be a lot of insecurities in the relationship just based on how it’s all come about. 449 Sharon…I don’t agree with you. As I said there were no longer 25 men around. Jason got down to 1 of 2 men left in Deanna’s season. With your reasoning, putting it in place at the current show, then could it be that Jason’s mind is still with some of the 23 he has already let go? No. It is down to 2 just like it was down to 2 with Deanna and she did not fall in love with him. He couldn’t win the love of the one woman in that competition and it’s a far stretch for me to believe that suddenly he is so irrestible he has captured the love of all these women.
I believe what I do and you believe what you do. Neither of us are ever going to change our opinions at this point. I’ve made up my mind, just like you have made up yours.

It takes maturity and understanding to get past all that, for sure. Some never do. But they shouldn’t even go on the show if they aren’t going to be able to get past seeing their man kiss other women and weed through them all to make his decision in the end. I will say, though, if Jason is truly as torn as ABC is leading us to believe, and really is in love with both Molly and Melissa, I am going to be extremely disappointed in him if he proposes. Steve,, love the interview,, Megan was awesome, what a nice girl, its amazing what ABC does with their editing, it raises questions on how many other girls on the show that may have been used by ABC in their editing magic all for their RATINGS eh???

Me to RS: This was posted on Fort. Is it true that they are filming ATRC2 tomorrow and Melissa will be there?
RS: I screwed that one up. Yes, its being taped tomorrow at 11:30am. All I had heard was it was confirmed they were going to tape one and that Melissa would be part of it. I shouldn’t have said it was already taped because I wasn’t 100% sure. But what I had heard was that its “either its done, or its going to get done”, and I jumped the gun and said its done. Woops. In the grand scheme of things, that’s meaningless. Everything that’s important focuses around the ATFR 1 taping I’ve known about for a month. That’s where the shit hits the fan. So yeah, if you want to pass that along to the FORTers, go ahead. My mistake. And I have a mole at the tapings tomorrow as well, so it looks like I will have information regarding what happens.
Me: Can’t pass it along to Fort because I am not a member. Just go and read what there are saying sometimes. They are talking about it in your comment section. Do you want me to let them know what you said or do you want me to just let you tell them tomorrow?
RS: You can go ahead and print that whole email I just sent you. The important thing is, who cares if I said it was taped yesterday and its actually being taped tomorrow. Minor details. They should concern themselves with the ATFR 1 taping, because that’s where the story is. I’m guessing the ATFR 2 is a fluff piece anyway showing Jason and Mollys relationship

I wonder if it is in ATR2 is being filmed in 2 parts because they will shoot it as Mel and Jason being together so as not to spill the drama of ATR1 and then they will have audience members to dub in for ATR2. There would be no way to film a real ATR2 without spilling ATR1 so we might see some more creative editing. lol
Actually I don’t know if Mel and Jason would even go along with that. Taping with an audience makes no sense given the leaks. Very odd.

I was thinking: Does Jason actually give this beautiful (some say tacky) diamond ring to Melissa, only to get the ring back later and end up giving the same ring to Molly?

So I was watching Ugly Betty and there was a commercial for the Bachelor Finale. I found it interesting that Melissa is not in a blue dress – she is in a yellow dress. She was standing there with Jason (he is in the suit) in a yellow dress. It could possibly be editing, but I don’t think so….

I’m so glad that you made people start registering to leave comments. People were getting so vulgar and disrespectful in the last comment section. It was disgusting.
I loved the interview with Megan Parris, and it is so sad that they promised her they would bring her son Deacon to be with her after 5 days, and then didn’t bring him. I was looking forward to that interview, because I had figured out from watching her exit interview, that it was edited, and I had a feeling she was a very nice person. And that General Hospital kiss–I just knew they had told her to kiss him that way, and then used it to make her look desperate.
After what you have revealed to us about the show from your sources, Steve, I am so disgusted with this season. Yes, I am still watching, because I want to see it played out, but when I see a commercial for the show or see Jason on an interview, (saw him on The View, Friday,) I get a sad feeling in my heart, because I just can’t believe what he did to Melissa. He may have been manipulated by ABC, for ratings, drama, entertainment and big bucks, but that was just a very cruel thing to do. There is an old saying, “One person’s happiness should not come at the expense of another’s.” So true.
As for comment #37, Hilary Mesnick is Jason’s ex-wife. If you google Hilary Mesnick, you will find a list of sites, and there is a site you can log onto to see the video she is in called “Happy.”
