Here’s what I know what happened coming from someone who was there:
-Jillian is announced as the next Bachelorette.
-Melissa was not there. Chris Harrison had a written letter from Melissa that he read which stated she was fine, she’s moved on, and doesn’t regret anything about anything happened.
-Showed the finale and ATFR 1 condensed to the audience into a 90 minute version, so it was basically a clip show of the two shows combined. Jason proposed to Melissa. Him crying on the balcony was after he had let Molly go, and before Melissa had arrived. Melissa obviously accepted the proposal. They leave NZ engaged. (Gee, I said that a month ago).
-DeAnna actually does ask him to take her back, but he’s like, “Look loser, I’m in love with two other women.” So I’m sure she was put put up to that since she just had broken up with Jesse two weeks earlier. DeAnna admitted to choosing the “wildcard”, but said she should’ve picked him instead. Oh please. More B.S. Blah blah blah….
ATFR 1:
-Jason dumps Melissa on camera. When Melissa came out, she was in a somber mood. Like she knew what was about to happen. They barely embraced. Made it seem like Melissa knew it was coming. Jason tells her he can’t stop thinking about Molly. Melissa asks if he had contact with her, he says no. She says, “You chose me, but you’re not willing to fight for me?” Basically accusing him of changing his mind. “We left New Zealand, we spent all this time together, and now you want to spend all this time with someone else. I don’t get it.”
-Jason just says the chemistry is different, and he can’t stop thinking of Molly. So Melissa is pissed that he proposed but basically wussed out and didn’t give their relationship a chance.
-Last thing shown to everyone is Chris Harrison saying, “I’ll leave you two alone to talk”. Then Melissa telling Jason, “Don’t text me, don’t call me, don’t email me, I don’t want anyone contact with you, we’re done.” She gets up, leaves, gets into a limo, and talks to the camera.
-She leaves and they bring Molly out. Molly has NO IDEA this has just happened with Melissa. She thinks she’s coming out to ask Jason her questions, and he explains he just dumped Melissa. Basically telling her he can’t stop thinking about her. Molly keeps looking at Chris Harrison thinking this is all a joke.
-She asks, “What about Melissa?” Jason says “I don’t expect you to get engaged to me now, but can we explore this.” Molly says she’ll give it a chance. Once Molly is over the shock, she says they have a lot to talk about, she feels sorry for Melissa, but she’s willing to see where things go and she can’t help but be a little bit happy. Said her feelings have never changed since getting dumped in New Zealand. Shows ends there.
ATFR 2:
-Chris Harrison talking to Naomi, Nikki, Stephanie, Kari, and Erica live in studio. Gets their reaction to everything that happened. They essentially all bag on Jason saying if he was that conflicted, he should’ve waited and not proposed.
-Took questions and comments from the audience. Some of the girls on stage answered some of the questions, but it was basically getting feedback.
-Jason comes out next by himself. This is when Chris Harrison reads the letter from Melissa. Afterwards, Jason defends his decision saying he had to do it, didn’t want to lead Melissa on, follow his heart, Molly was constantly on his mind, blah blah blah
-Bring Molly out by herself first then Jason joins her. Talk about how everything is great. Rewatches her segment from ATFR 1 and reiterates she was really surprised, had a lot of questions, but Jason answered them. Her family had questions too, but, they’re fine with it now and they love Jason. She’s planning on moving to Seattle once everything dies down. Hope people aren’t mad at him for following his heart. Jason is mad that people are saying bad things about Molly. Molly states for the record, she is NOT pregnant.
-When both out there, Chris Harrison asks Jason at what point he had something for Molly, and audience member screams “The tent!” So they bring the tent out to both of them as their gift.
-Show ends with them bringing Jillian out and announcing her as the next Bachelorette.
Final analysis:
I’ve been vindicated! Thank god. Why would I have lied to you people? I had nothing to gain by lying in all this. Nothing. I was truthful and honest from the beginning. You gotta remember, what was shown to the audience was a 90 minute version of the 2 hr finale and ATFR 1. So things can be spliced up, edited, and shown out of order. But this was the bare bones of what was shown.
So when Melissa asks him, “Did you have contact with Molly?” and he says, “No”, there might be more to it. They didn’t see the whole show, the just saw the highlights of the ATFR 1. I’ll say it now, Melissa suspected Jason was seeing/texting/emailing/talking to Molly. That’s why she asked. There’s no way he didn’t contact her in those two months. Not a chance. But like I said, this is the way I thought ABC would spin this – that he just changed his mind. And that’s what they’re going to present. Hey, if you want to believe that, go ahead. I will always believe differently. He did not just change his mind without having spoken to her in 2 months in my mind. No way.
Also, as some of the bachelorettes said, if he was THAT conflicted at the final rose ceremony, why even propose to Melissa? If you don’t think for a second this was part of a plan, then I don’t know what to tell you. There’s no way anyone in their right mind, if they were truly in love with two people, would propose to one, then two months later, dump her on national television. I’m seriously contemplating printing out the email conversation now between Melissa and Jason that was done after the ATFR 1 was taped. It verifies everything I’m saying here and coincides with what Melissa said at the taping once he broke up with her. All Jason is doing in these emails is apologizing for what he did and wishes he would’ve handled it better and not listened to the producers. Now that we know how this all plays out, you can’t tell me the emails were fake. I’m sorry. I never thought they were, the addresses were verified, and exactly what happened tonight is exactly what’s in them, EXCEPT for the fact that Melissa knew Jason had contact with Molly while they were engaged. And ABC conveniently left that part out. But something still tells they might not have left it out, and we will see the full meltdown. Guess we’ll find out Monday.
So the question til the end of time will be this: When did Molly know about all this? When she left New Zealand, I truly believe Molly knew nothing. She thought it was over and she was heartbroken because she had just been dumped. I’m telling you, I will believe beyond a shadow of a doubt until the end of time, that Jason and Molly were in contact during the two months from the taping of the finale in New Zealand until the ATFR 1 taping in January. Here’s something else to ponder? Why would they bring Melissa out first, have Molly backstage not listening in to anything going on, if they didn’t have ANY idea what was about to happen? Don’t they ALWAYS bring the F2 girl out first on the ATFR shows so she can ask her questions and get her answers first? Please.
In closing, all the phonies out there who tried to tell you Jason and Melissa were happy and engaged, Molly was pregnant, Melissas parents were the real issue, Jason’s mom was posting on message boards, and all the other crazy rumors you’ve heard over the last month, you couldn’t have been more wrong and congratulations on trying to throw people off. The bottom line is I told you on Jan. 27th what the outcome of this show would be, and today’s taping proved it. I’m sure Jasons pleading of “Don’t hate Molly” and “I went with my gut and I’m happy as a clam right now” will tug at the heartstrings of some of you, but hey, I’m not buying it. At all. I believe Jason Mesnick knew during the filming he was going to pick Molly, was told to pick Melissa so they could create this shocking, dramatic finale, and he went along with it. I guess its my word against theirs until eternity. I tend to think my word is worth more.
Has anyone read on FORT that Melissa may have been cheating on Jason anyhow? Steve any thoughts on this?

Thanks for refreshing my memory about a #3 (or higher) being selected for the next Bachelor/Bachelorette. I guess my poor mind wanted to blank out everything related to Bob Guiney. He was a hot mess and then that turned out another hot mess – Mary Delgado. Poor Mary, why doesn’t Byron just finally marry her so they can have a child and she can calm down. ** Yes, that was said with sarcasm. I am not sure if this is out there yet. But I have been thinking about how in RS’s blog he shares about how D. tells J that she picked her wildcard…and J was really the one she wanted (yada yada…and a free trip to New Z.)
What if ABC tries to spin it like Mel is the J’s wildcard…yada yada she knew all along she was the wildcard. And J chose her b/c he DIDN’T want to pick Mol and then dump her if things didn’t work out. So instead he picks Mel…and she knows she is being picked so that he can work his feelings out for Mol?
IDK just an idea on how Fleiss and CO could spin this so that everybody comes out smelling like roses (IE Mel signed up knowing it was possible that she would be dumped on national tv. it was a possibility-but never THE ONE option-J could have been engaged to Mel for the contract time and then walked away, or have chosen Mol right away.
IDK just something I have been thinking about.

Haven’t been able to read all the posts, I have been taking care of a sick child. I just hope that RS decides to post the emails between J and Mel. I also would like to hear what the rest of the interview with Megan had to say. I believe RS, always have and I do believe that things that have unfolded since show RS definately had knowledgeable sources. I am sure they will spin it either to make Jason look good, or they could throw him under the bus since there is so much getting out know and people are starting to post negative about him even on his Myspace. A friend of mine the other day saw the article in US Weekly while checking out in the grocery line and was shocked! I told her about RS and that it is old news now! I have not seen the article however, they don’t seem to shine Jason in a good light. I’m sure stuff in my post has already been said on here, however I have only been able to read sporadically (sp?). Gotta get kids to school now, 2 hour delay because of snow. One last note, I hope Melissa gets to keep the ring and sell it. I wonder what he will give Molly? He can’t afford what ABC set him up with I am sure. There is NO way Molly and Jason’s relationship will make it through this public scrutiny. So after all this planning by ABC we will still have the same old ending. TB record will now be 0 for 13. See ya.

On side note that may be important to some — DeAnna was already close to Ace Amerson, her current Atlanta guy, at the time she broke off her engagement to Jesse. Ace’s close friends knew about the relationship at the time. This brings full circle the lie that Fleiss attempts to create by flying DeAnna to New Zealand to profess her love for Jason.
The only winners here are Melissa who escapes this charade with some measure of dignity — and perhaps past bachelors, Brad and Andy, who no longer look quite so bad in comparison to tool man Jason.
Melissa has dignity “if” she is indeed innocent. We will never know if she is….! That is the SAD part.
And, what about Molly, I am not really a Molly fan but how embarrassing to be let go at the finale, then have to make a decision spur of the moment on TV to take him back after he dumped her. She must be desparate on some sad level too. Both women are not really the best choice for Jason. I believe he just wanted both and couldn’t have them. Maybe Melissa cheated on Jason when she found out he was with Molly on the side. Who knows, this could have gotten out.
First of all let me say that I have read RS for the past 2 TB seasons and love love love him. He makes me laugh every week. That said I am really worried that his contact is leading him down the wrong path. I know, I know, but let me at least give you the reasons why I am suspect
1) Only one person over at FORT (these people are big time Sluethers) can confirm anything from the AFTR 1 or AFTR 2. Usually by this time there are multiple people all with differnt sources saying the same thing. RS is the only one that got the scoop?
2) The number of ABC affiliates (Rag news magazine shows) that have run with the story and brought it to the general TB viewers. Why allow the pieces to ryn? Could it be to take our eye off the ball?
3) The Strange WTA show. I still think there is something strange with J and Jill. Why not have a normal WTA show if not some issue between them. This could be taken two ways
Good for RS – Jill actually knows what he did to Mel and is ticked at him for being such an @##
Bad for RS – Jill and J are together ( slim chance but possible if RS has been had) and they wanted to limit contact because J is such a poor actor
4) The latest sneek preview. Niether girl looks paticularly happy and why shots of both of them in the limo. Just seems strange.
Part of me wants RS to be right because I really like him.
Part of me wants him to be wrong because it would be nice to see a both a happy ending and a successful union to come from the show.
In any case I hope if RS turns out to be way off that people will give him the benefit of the doubt and Know that he is not some ABC puppet and see that he has been duped along with the rest of us.
Babs, Babs, Babs, I’m quite certain that RS is more than 100% confident in his source(s). He has staked his reputation on the line, and I doubt he would do this unless he was 101% confident. I’m just sayin… have a little faith.

I agree with everything, except I think Molly isnt as innocent as people may think. It is obvious she and Jason must have had contact during the past couple months and im sure he was open about his feelings for her, maybe even about the plan of dumping her for Melissa from the start. She just had to know something and could have stopped it and not pursue a relationship with a man that is in a committed relationship with someone else! Cant wait to see her so called shock and reaction when he tells her he wants to be with her and not Melissa.

I think Jason gets a kick out of the drama of “breaking hearts”. Did anyone notice how he always looked back at the girls who he DIDN’T give roses to at the rose ceremonies? This was especially true when he eliminated Stephanie. He didn’t even look at Molly when he gave her the rose–he looked over her head at Stephanie to see her reaction. I think he was hoping for a major emotional breakdown. After all, having someone fall apart because of you must be a big ego boost. I think he has short-man’s syndrome. Wonder if ABC will televise it when he breaks up with Molly?

Hi everyone! this is my first post, lol..but i have been reading reality steve’s blog for probably the last 3 weeks and everything is so interesting! i have never followed any blogs/rumors/etc but this stuff just sounds soo crazy. and i believe it! haha…except i wanted to say something and see wut u all thought. i dont know how exactly the contracts work out for people who decide to be on the show, but what if RS is right about 99% of the info he got, except for the part about the switch being planned from the verrry beginning? bcuz here’s wut i was thinking. jason staked his life on the show not being “scripted”, and yeah anyone can lie but i just dont see that as a flat out dishonest statement.
what if during the show he fell in luv w/ mel and mol, chose mel..and basically realized afterwards (mayb veryy soon after) that he chose wrong. does anyone know if the producers have control over who can see whom after taping ends? like say jason really wanted 2 b friends with steph. could the producers say “no u cant be seen with her for x amount of time”? because if they have that much control, mayb jason was like “oh sh*t, i dont want to be with mel anymore” and went to the producers who wouldnt let him see molly unless he thennn followed their “switch” plan on air? because lets face it, we’ve all been in love and do some pretty dumb and crazy stuff for the people we love, even at the expense of others. so mayb jason was just brokenhearted over molly (which for the record i reaaally always disliked her on the show and have loved mel from the get go) and so he decides to go along with breaking up w/ melissa on tv so that the producers will allow him and molly to see each other.

I’m pretty excited for tonight. I don’t know if this was discussed last week but I thought it was funny that Jason came out in the beginning of this season saying he was engaged and very happy and then he shows up on the View last week saying he’s not engaged but very happy. Just goes to show how right on Steve was. It is so possible that there were leaks throughout the season, I listen to Howard Stern on Sirius (he’s a Bachelor fan) and he was given an advance copy of the show tapings. If they did this for other people, they shouldn’t be surprised with this stuff getting out…unless they were okay with it.
922 Jess, I found out days ago that if you don’t agree 110% with RS and his groupies you will be trashed or ignored on here. Most of the regulars are catty, nasty bitches who thrive on the misfortunes of people they don’t even know. Yesterday, they all were begging for pinkgirl to come back just so they could trash her.Obviously, she and others who disagree with them have gotten the message and are not giving them the satisfaction. What a bunch of narrow-minded people. I thought I could come on here with MY opinion, but this board doesn’t work that way. I am so glad this will be over tonight! Although I hated RS’s clues, I believed and continue to believe the information he put out there. It is consistent with what I see in Jason, Melissa and Molly. Do I think Molly and Jason will last – NO. I think for Molly part of the joy was beating out the other girls and ultimately Melissa. Now that she is victor, her work is done. The only downside for her is that her reputation is totally trashed no matter how much editing is done.
Melissa will survive, I have no doubt. She is one tough Texan at her core.
Jason is the one I really dislike in this whole mess. He either is so weak as a man that he needs a woman to tell him what to do (Molly and Deanna’s agressiveness) or he is fame-monger who needs his 15 minutes extended to an hour and will step on whoever to have that happen. Regardless, in a few hours he will have his moment and then hopefully he will disappear.
Jess, anything is possible. RS has only speculated that it was planned from very early one when it became obvious that Molly was “the one”. He suggests that perhaps at that time, the producers stepped in with their “bait and switch” idea. It’s certainly possible, though, that it was not planned and that in the end he did just change his mind, and that the producers “made him” break up with Mel on air if he wanted to be “allowed” to see Molly.
Unfortunately, so far as a “set up” goes, we’ll never know for sure, unless Jason, Molly, and/or Melissa spills the beans.

Reality Steve is RIGHT ON the mark. I don’t understand how anybody could doubt him at this point.
We will never know 100% who knew what when, but logic dictates and c’mon now – even if Molly was in love, would she in a span of 1 hour agree to give it a go with Jason after just hearing he dumped Melissa? I mean seriously? I think making a decision like that takes a lot longer to make, which makes me believe he was indeed seeing Molly before he officially broke it off with Melissa on TV. He’s a complete ASS.

BUT, what if tptb knew early on it was molly, so they offered (or at least suggested if she wasn’t f1 to offer) Mel to be f2 and then the b’ette gig – but she refused – then they come up with this idea to give her the great edit, have jason propose, dump her, etc cause she ticked them off.

Here’s what I was wondering: if Jason and Molly made a genuine connection early on in the show and ABC wanted to divert our attention and create drama, then I would think that what we would have seen up until now would be a much more positive spin on Molly, even as Jason appeared to be falling in love with Melissa. Then, when he broke up with Mel, the audience, who had been rooting for Molly all along, would be much more sympathetic to his decision.
I think that partly why everyone is so much up in arms (apart from the on-air break-up) is that Mel was clearly the fan favorite instead of Mol. Switch it around and it makes a much better fairy tale ending. Think back to previous seasons or even this one where fans hoped that The B. had second thoughts regarding certain girls who were sent home. IMO, this is what the producers were hoping we’d buy into. The problem is that we just weren’t that into Molly.
the other thing that bothers me is this – why would jill agree to be b’ette after all this goes down, esp if she and mel were such good friends. if I were mel, i would take that as a dis from jill that she would continue to have dealings with fleiss
Hmmm The Only thing that I can’t agree on with you is that Deanna asks Jason to take her back. My inside source tells me that she is only there for the advice. I guess we’ll see tonight. Either way, it’s an exciting day.

I can see how you think that posters who disagree with RS opinion get trashed here by others, but if you have only been here a week then you don’t have the total picture. There have always been lots of differing perspectives here and people are generally tolerant and want to hear them because it makes this whole thing so much more fun for us. In fact, a number of the regulars have not been posting here the last few days since RS reported the latest news.
As for pinkgirl, I believe the problem which most of us have with her is not her different opionion, but her constant, smug, know it all, rub it in your face attitude.

I have not read all the comments yet but I am looking for someone else who does not judge based on speculation. I think that Reality Steve has given a pretty good guess at what might happen. I think there’s a really good chance he may be right, however for a good portion of the comments to be patting him on the back and bashing Jason and Molly no one really knows what happened and even more so no one has seen the finale. The comments should be after the proof is actually broadcast.

Actually there has been so many people on here with so many different ideas. Not everyone is slammed. Your slammed when you use foul language, bash RS, or bash the members of this board. Pinkgirl isnt being asked where are you because people want to slam her, people are asking because she said she would come back and apoligize if she was wrong, and she didnt.
