I’ve gotten too upset over drama that is really none of my business. I’m taking a deep breath and adopting a new philosophy. Live and let live. I won’t be buying RS boyshorts but if someone else wants to, then more power to ‘em… but I might be tempted to buy a Team Melissa baby tee… guess that makes me a sell out but whatever.

Ive never watch DWTS, but Im going to now! I think that was ABC’s plan, obviouslly. It will get more ratings riding on the coat tails of what just happened. Interesting enough for me to watch!

Oopsie! Not what I meant!! I meant asking her was a good idea IMO. Because of what just happened to her, I think it will bring in more ratings. I didnt mean that this was all planned, lol.

I’ll be DVR’ing DWTS for the same reason my friend. Melissa is, without a doubt, Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader hot! Props to the Bachelor producers for pulling this whole thing off and nobody has to worry about whether a heart was really broken.

I think the one important thing going over people’s head is that Jason is not a bad guy. He took a bunch of money to do what the producers wanted, knowing that nobody wasn’t going to get hurt in the process. So everyone can back away from Jason for a minute, as the guy just played his role on a television series. His acting (crying) was terrible and he has tarnished his image for as long as people will remember him (maybe another 2 weeks).

I’m happy that the whole thing was fixed and hope that Melissa is still a cool girl like she appeared to be on the show. If she isn’t, well then she still is hot!!!

Best observation I’ve read all day. She DID say at ATFR1 she thought everything was “perfect”, then later on Ellen said things deteriorated pretty much immediately when they got back – both certainly can’t be true at the same time! Perhaps she was in fact in on it as well. Then again, maybe the producers simply got to her after the fact and gave her some incentive to throw water on the fire by convincing us that the relationship was basically over prior to ATFR1, to spare Jason some of the fallout.

Either way, it certainly looks like we’ve been played. Unfortunately, they’ve won in my house because I’ll probably be DVRing DWTS, but for no other reason than Mel is hotter than the Vegas Hard Rock Hotel beach in July (props to anyone who can relate!)

I just have a question for Steve… are you going to blog about DWTS now?

I don’t watch it that faithfully – I have half an eye on it, if I’m in the room while my daughter is watching it, but this season I will definitely keep up with it.

The fact that Mel isn’t a “star” per se isn’t important. It’s about ratings. Many of the contestants in the past have caused people to say, “Who is that? Never heard of her/him before!” I recall Jay Leno poking fun at this and asking, “Who are these people?”

Speaking of ‘stars’…remember, Trista was on DWTS one season too.

Also in reference to Mel’s private life staying private when on the show…quite often many of the contestants are featured in fan mags like People and US Weekly with ‘at home’ photo’s and such stuff.

I just hope she read, understood and had a good lawyer when she signed this latest contract with ABC. Also I hope she negotiated some big bucks to appear.
