No Really, These are the Final FINAL Thoughts plus Melissa on “DWTS”

Ahhhhh, what a week. So many peoples stories have changed, the latest on Melissa joining “Dancing with the Stars” tonight, and finally we’ve heard the last of Tatiana Del Toro (at least I hope so). Let’s put some final FINAL thoughts together on this “Bachelor” season and just move on. It’s over, it’s done with, everyone’s changing their stories now, it’s a farce. Like I told you it was back on Jan. 27th. Before we get to that though, a couple notes regarding the site.

Over the next two months, there will be changes to the site. Still working out the kinks, as you saw last week we tried a different format, but a lot of things are happening right now and I want to make sure this site looks good when we roll everything out. So there might be some days the look of it changes, and there might be some days that it’s down, but just know its all temporary. I hope to have everything finalized and done by May 18th, which is the start of Jillians season of the “Bachelorette”. So any craziness in between now and then, just bear with me. It looks like the merchandising is definitely going to happen, I just need to figure out what products we are going to launch with, plus, some people want to advertise, and the current format we’re in doesn’t make it easy, which is why we’ll probably be giving the site a new look.

It’s not like I broke the Bachelor “shocker” back in January so all this could happen. Far from it. What’s happening now is a result of me being credible with my news, and the thing I’m most proud of, is how many emails I’ve gotten over the last few weeks from people saying they had never even heard of the site before and now they’re a fan. I’ve always wanted more and more people to find RealitySteve.com, but I did a terrible job of marketing it, which is to say I did nothing. If breaking this seasons ending gave me notoriety, so be it. But those that have been with me for the last seven years know I’ve been loyal to giving you consistent “Bachelor” updates, plus my opinions on a myriad of things. Now, I’m just going to do it more often. Especially with “Idol” about to begin its final rounds, “Survivor” up and running, “Celebrity Apprentice” being a trainwreck I can’t not watch, and the whole “Dancing with the Stars” thing. Hey, those that know me know that’s been one of my favorite shows since it started. Now, with the whole Melissa angle thrown in, obviously that adds a little extra to those that are “Bachelor” fans. Speaking of that, lets go back to last week, in particular, AFTER Tuesday nights show.

Really now, with all the chaos surrounding this past season of the “Bachelor”, I feel like after today, let’s just put it to rest. Some of you will always believe what you want to believe about the possible set up and conspiracy that I’ve alleged, and that’s fine. All I’ve ever wanted to do was present a case as for why I believe what I was told went down this season. You’re not a bad person if you don’t believe it, and those that do, aren’t conspiracy theorists or bad people either. They’re just realists. Ha ha. Anyway, what really bothered me last week after the ATFR 2 was the spin job that everyone was putting on this. Included in this spin job were ABC, Mike Fleiss, Jason, and even Melissa. On Wednesday, Jason immediately came out and said he broke up with Melissa on TV because he was “contractually obligated to.” Then Mike Fleiss immediately shot back with, “Uh, no you weren’t.” Then Jason spun it to, “Well, Melissa knew we were having problems and we were already broken up. We had ended things a week earlier.” Then Melissa on with Ellen Thursday says, “Yeah, the breakup was mutual, we were broken up. But what upset me was the lying. I asked him numerous times if it was about Molly and he said ‘no’. Then we get on TV to tape the ATFR 1 and he informs me it is.” Then Jason the next day on Ellen says, “Yeah, I wasn’t contractually obligated. I felt I was doing what the producers wanted me to do, and I take full responsibility for that. If I could take anything back, it was that I did it on camera. She didn’t need to go through that.” Well gee, ya’ think?

Look, Jason did exactly what he needed to do last week, which is apologize for embarrassing her on television. He didn’t need to do that, he admits he didn’t need to do that, and says he’ll live with that decision for the rest of his life. Good. He should. And the fact that both of them are now saying, “Well, we were broken up before we went on that show” pretty much proves even more than not only is Jason a douchebag for doing it, but also that ABC was complicit in all of this as well. Bascially they’re saying, “Well, you guys broke up off camera, and we can’t have that. Come and shoot the ATFR 1 six weeks early so we can ‘re-create’ that breakup.” If ABC is saying Jason wasn’t contractually obligated to do that on camera, then ABC could’ve easily said, “No, no way. We’re not doing this to her.” But they chose not to because they wanted drama, and that’s exactly what they got.

Nice to see that Melissa admitted the emails I’d had in my possession for two weeks that I chose not to release were legitimate. Hey, I knew they were the whole time, but it was good to hear something I said finally proven correct. And I’m glad someone else chose to release them because I did not want that on my conscience anymore. I didn’t want my name attached to those emails. And considering they landed in my inbox from someone who’d never emailed once before, I had a good idea someone would release them. I’m sure it was passed around to a few people. I think the one thing those emails proved was Melissa knew there was something going on with Jason and Molly during the time they were together. That’s obvious. I think its obvious to everyone now, and that’s the one thing that Jason is continually lying about. Notice how he never addressed it in the emails both times she brought it up? Never confirmed or denied it, which was smart. Just left it alone. The minute he admits to it, is the minute he’s guilty for lying in front of America, which most people think he did anyway. Also makes ABC look horrible in that they allowed it to happen, and makes them liars too. That gave Jason an out to not address it in his emails back to her.

I find it funny that at first, ABC/Fleiss/Chris Harrison/Jason all were adamant that “No, no, no, no. They had no contact whatsoever in those two months he was engaged. Molly was taken by complete surprise and anyone who suggests otherwise is just plain wrong.” Yet now we’re hearing, “Oh wait, there was one phone call where he was just ‘checking’ on Molly.” Really? When he’s engaged to Melissa and spending time with her over the holidays? Of course, there are also numerous reports that Molly texted or called Jason while he was with Melissa, which she has said happened, but god no! Jason would never do such a thing! Whatever. Like I’ve said ever since I released the news about this season, it is going to be he said/she said til the end of time. You will either believe that he didn’t have contact with Molly and ABC wasn’t planning this ratings bonanza, or you can believe Melissa. It’s up to you. I’m pretty much done debating it at this point. By next week, no one will give a rats ass about Jason and Molly and how they’re doing. I thought the most telling thing between both Melissas appearance and Jason and Mollys appearance on “Ellen” was the fact that Melissa said he started pulling away “almost immediately” when they got back from taping. For a guy that claimed he tried so hard to make it work, I would think pulling away immediately isn’t supporting your case too much.

More questions:

Now he and Molly are doing a tourism video promoting New Zealand talking about that’s where they fell in love and what a great place it is? Huh? I thought when he left New Zealand, that’s when he was in love with Melissa? Did you see this thing? Unbelievable. Check it out:

Jason and Molly Pimp New Zealand

If Molly had no idea she what was going to happen at the ATFR 2, why was she talking about, “I stay up every night hoping Jason would change his mind and take me back?” No other Final Two girl in the history of that show has ever said that on the ATFR 2.

Why did Molly say during the ATFR 2 taping that she’s definitely moving to Seattle, and then on “Ellen” less than a week later when asked if she was moving, she says, “Eventually. We’re taking it day by day.” Shouldn’t that have been her original answer? Man, no one can keep their stories straight.

Why did Jason tell Molly, ten minutes roughly after he just dumped his fiance, “I’m falling in love with you?” If he didn’t have any contact with this woman in two months, can you technically be “falling in love with them?” Seems a little extreme. I would think you’d just leave it at, “I haven’t been able to keep my mind off you and I want to try this out.” Not, “I’m falling in love with you.” How could you? You haven’t spoken to her since New Zealand! Jason is King Contradictory right now.

And of course, he’s gone back and forth on at what point they broke up. He says it was a few days before the ATFR 1 taping, then he said it was a week, then he said in the beginning he shouldn’t have broken up with her, then changed it to, “she knew what was coming.” AAAAAAHHHHH!!!! This is all making my head hurt really. Stick to one story, buddy.

So this can be debated forever. Who do you believe, Jason or Melissa? Or neither? Either way, it doesn’t affect my life. I believe Melissa but it doesn’t mean you’re a horrible person if you don’t. If I were you, I’d put it past you, move on, and start discussing more important things. This is exactly what ABC wants, and that’s to have you talking about them weeks after the season ends. So I will put an end to it in this column if you promise to as well. Sure, I’ll continually make jokes til the end of time about this season and what a farce it was, but I’m done presenting my case for why I believe this was a set up. Let’s move on.

As I’m sure most of you have heard by now, Melissa is going to be an injury replacement for Nancy O’Dell on “Dancing with the Stars” beginning tonight. Nancy O’Dell dropped out on Thursday, and news broke yesterday that Melissa was asked to do it. Which means she’s had a whopping four days to practice. I’m really surprised by some of the response I’m hearing in regards to Melissa “selling out” or “only doing this because she wants to be famous.” Huh? Once again, people will have their opinions on this one way or another, but this is how I see it:

1. She’s a last second injury replacement, so this basically just fell into her lap. She didn’t go out seeking this. This isn’t something she’s been in negotiations for for weeks. Nancy O’Dell just dropped out on Thursday.

2. She has a dance background, it’s her passion, so it’s not like she’s going on “Fear Factor”, or some other stupid dating show just so she could be on TV. I think the fact she turned down being the next “Bachelorette” shows more about her character and motivations than accepting this gig does.

3. She knows she can do well because of her background, the public already likes her, and she immediately becomes one of the favorites. Why wouldn’t you enter a competition that you know you can win?

4. With Nancy O’Dell dropping out Thursday, this is the latest ANYONE has ever dropped out of DWTS by far. If they’re find a replacement and give them only four days of rehearsal, they’re not going to pick someone with ZERO dance experience because they’ll just get voted off the first week. So of course they had to find someone who could dance, and she fits the bill perfectly. It’s ABC crossover, her name has been out there the last week, and she can dance.

5. She told Ellen on Wednesday “I just wanna go back to Dallas, get back to a normal life, and get away from reality TV” or whatever she said. She didn’t know about this opportunity when she said that, so to call her a liar just seems ignorant. Unless you think she knew about this all along, which she couldn’t have, since they announced the DWTS cast back on Feb. 9th and she wasn’t a part of it.

6. As for her doing another ABC show, I don’t think that has much to do with anything. It’s not like this is being produced by Fleiss and his production company. This is a completely different animal. What would being scorned by ABC previously have to do with her appearing on this show? ABC the network necessarily didn’t screw her. It was Fleiss and his production company that did. Two totally different animals. I might have used the term “ABC” in past columns, but I was referring to Fleiss and Co.

Seems to me that the people hating on her are the ones who didn’t like her in the first place or thought she was in on this whole scheme with the “Bachelor.” So whatever she does, you’ll never change those peoples minds. She could have announced last week on “Ellen” that she’s taking a camera crew to Africa to feed a village of starving children, and her detractors would first ask, “Why are you taking a camera crew?” Can never win with some people. Look, I have no problem with Melissa doing this, but I can see plenty of people will. Whatever. To each their own. I hope she does well. I can’t imagine she won’t at least get to the finals. I mean, c’mon. Steve-O? David Alan Grier? She could’ve been given four hours to practice and she’d be better than them. People who hate her will cheer against her, and people who like her, won’t. It’s pretty simple. There’s no way she would tell America “My reality television days are behind me” if she knew she was gonna do this show, which she didn’t. I can’t believe people are getting on her for that. It’s dancing. It’s her passion. She can win. She’d be crazy not to.

Once again, let’s put all of our “Bachelor” related stuff behind us after today. Really, there’s nothing more to talk about. I’m moving on, and so should you. There are too many questions you will never get answers to unless your name is Jason Mesnick, Molly Malaney, Melissa Rycroft, Mike Fleiss, or Chris Harrison. I’ll be back Wednesday with a fresh new “Reality Roundup” breaking down week one of “American Idol” (I believe it’s Michael Jackson week), along with a few thoughts on more crap that I’m watching. As always, any questions, comments, emails, praises, criticisms, pre orders for your RealitySteve.com boy shorts (ha ha), feel free to email me at steve@realitysteve.com. If you haven’t already joined the “I Love Reality Steve” Facebook group, you can always do that as well. Or just add me as a friend as there is a link to that down the right hand column. See you Wednesday.

  1. Melissa’s numbers on Dial Idol look very strong, and the scores were great. It seems she may be one of the front runners in this – good for her!!

I think it’s great that she has this opportunity to save a little face after the public humiliation last week – she is one strong woman, I gotta give her a lot of credit.

  2. Steve-O, glad you’re over this season!!!! I’ve been over it. I feel very bad for Melissa. Even worse for Jason, as his day is coming. My grandmother used to say the Lord protects FOOLS and BABIES and Jason is no baby. You’re smoking on facebook. By the way, does my pic appear blurry to you? And by the way, ya’ll (you and Miss Maddie) take care!

  3. Oh, one more thing SMORES! If you don’t like our boy: GET OFF OF HIS WEBSITE! WE DON’T NEED YOU! LATER! DON’T LET THE DOOR SPLIT!

  4. I agree with you, completely–it is way past time to move on from that other show, what was the name of it? and the doofuss and doofussette that ended up together–forgot their names. I’ve moved way past that, and am getting on with my life.
I did watch Melissa on DWTS tonight, and I was so proud of her. She was beautiful, elegant and so graceful. As I said the day she was on Ellen–she was truly a class act. I think she has a very good chance of winning this show, and not because of the pity vote as some people have stated,–because she is a much better dancer than several of the contestants. About the worst criticism the judges gave her was that she didn’t keep her feet flat and danced on her toes, because of the ballet experience. She was just beautiful, and with only 48 hours of practice, received one of the highest scores.
I think it is wonderful that she accepted to be on this show, and as someone said, I think it was Tom, “you didn’t think you’d have a good experience with ABC, did you?” She deserves it, and I would love to see her win. I agree with you, Steve, that this was not planned. Nancy O’Dell hurt her knee, Melissa is filling in as a replacement, and I think it is really great of her to do it. I think she is terrific! She is a very positive person, and you can tell how much she loves life!
I know she will bounce back just fine.

  5. Mel looked beautiful and her dancing was excellent especially if that was after two days. She will only get better. Glad she’s moved on to something positive and happy. Good for her!

  6. Sounds like some jealousy from some of those posting here last night!!! Melissa looked great!!!

  7. ‘scuse me Smores..I think it’s time you leave, and don’t return. If you don’t have anything positive to post, then keep it to yourself, or post it somewhere else. We DO NOT want your attitude…got it? Good..now go!!

The best revenge is success! Go Melissa!!!
You know, everyone loved Melissa when she was the loser..now they’re jealous! Can’t you be happy for someone elses success?

Just one thought on DWTS..Gilles looks better naked!

  9. PS..I LOVED the NZ clip! Get over Molly and Jason!

Doesn’t mean I’m not going to cheer for and vote for Melissa all the way!!!

  10. 149 VA Girl – I feel the same way! I’m sure she’s nice, but for whatever reason I just didn’t take to her on The Bachelor. It was only after reading RS’s information, watching it play out, and seeing how she handled herself in such an admirable way that I couldn’t help but be impressed.

I definitely don’t begrudge her this opportunity – she didn’t know about it when she was on Ellen, it is a completely different type of show, and she obviously belongs there as she tied for the top score of the night!

  11. I think ABC realizes now that they’ve gotten their money’s worth out of Jason and Molly. America’s attention is now on Melissa. Very few people care if J&M get engaged or married. Televising either of these ‘events’ would be a waste of money. Neither do I think you’ll see either of them on many talk shows. Every time they make an appearance they dig a deeper hole for themselves.

If Jason and Molly are truely in love they will welcome the lack of publicity. If they were caught up in the media frenzy it will tear them apart. Either way, they will have to work to erase the negative sentiment that they have caused.

I’m really happy that Melissa was given this opportunity. DWTS is more of a competition than a reality show and the contestants work hard. It’s also a chance of a lifetime if you want to try ballroom dancing – you’re taught by the best and the knowledge and exercise you get is wonderful. I don’t think being on TV can change you if you have strong standards. It’s only the weak, like Jason, who will give in to producer pressure. So far Melissa has handled herself with dignity and grace. I’m pulling for her not only to do well in this competition but also to be a role model for all young people watching the show.

  12. Didn’t ya love how they covered up Melissa’s “tramp stamp” with sequins last night?

BTW I have a scoop on this year’s DWTS.

ABC has scripted the whole thing to do down like this.

Final 2 Mellisa and Shawn Johnson.

The voting is in– Melissa wins!

Yeaaa! Tom Begreron awards Melissa the DWTS trophy and everybody is happy.

BUT wait a minute…wait one minute!!

ABC discovers that the Pacific time zone votes were not counted so they have to recalculate the final results

And the new winner is Shawn Johnson!

A speical DWTS “After the Final Dance” episode is quickly shot.

Melissa thinks it will be nothing more than a tribute to her but (gasp!) she is humilliated and must give back the DWTS trophy on national TV.

Tom Bergeron goes on all the talk shows to apologize. He claims Mel knew what they were going to do but she acted surprised any way. TB says he regrets the way things went but “It was more important that we got the right winner”.

Oh… and Melissa ends up on the Amazing Race…where her racing partner is….
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .

Jason, who has broken up with Molly and now realizes that he was right to pick Melissa in the first place and hopes to use the Amazing Race experience to win her back.

Molly then becomes a contestant on Survivor where she is given a tribe of all married men.

Jillian snubs all of the bachelors on her show and picks
    .
    .
    .
    .
    Brad Womack.

They all live happily ever after!

Remember you heard all this on the RS website first!

  13. Though I know Melissa has had professional dance training, she was still better than I thought she would be for only two days practice on DWTS last night. You could tell she was nervous, but it was a beautiful routine to watch!

  14. So…. I thought this was interesting…
Was listening to Kidd Kraddick this morning… (its a Dallas Radio Morning Show; 106.1 Kiss FM)… and Al, one of the hosts, had some things to say about Melissa and as to why he was not a fan.
Apparently he met her at a bar/restaurant where she proceeded to fake a birthday to get a “party” with freebies and such.
*Note; this is before the Bachelor.
    Said she acted very Diva-like.
Later that night he got her to agree to meet him and a buddy for dinner…. Well… One hour before they were supposed to meet, she called in “sick”…. (hmmmm Jason???)
Anyways… doesn’t make me think any less of her, but i just thought this was interesting…
She still looked great last night… And of course she’ll win.. I mean, she IS a dancer afterall!!! Duh!

  15. I’m thrilled for Melissa. She looked fabulous. She danced wonderfully. She is getting to do something that’s once in a lifetime chance. I voted my five times last night and they all were for her. I hope she wins this thing. She deserves it.

  16. Hmmmm…I wonder how many people watched last night who don’t normally because Melissa was on there? Screams set up from the very beginning of The Bachelor.

  17. set up from the beginning?

o yea i’m sure they set it up that nancy o’dell would get hurt on dancing with the stars.

    come on now.

  18. #116 last 3 winners of DWTS:

    Brooke Burke
    Kristi Yamaguchi
    Helio Castroneves

And yes- I am such a geek that I did not look it up before posting! LOL!!

I really beieve that when Melissa said ( I wnt to leave reality TV behind me” she meant it. But this isa dance competiion, and you win or loose based on your abilities on the dance floor . Having fan base is key to winning too, but thecontestant have a lo of control over their on fate. Melissa has had a passion for dance hr whole life, and an opportunity like this would be too good to pass up. I would have done it too, in her shoes. Fleiss has noting to do with that show either.

  19. Can someone please post links to all the blogs done by ex-bachelorettes? I saw someone post an excert from Naomi’s blog? Where can I find that? Thanks!!

  20. Did anyone else notice the ring on Melissa’s left finger last night on DWTS??? Her had her hands folded for a lot of the time or behind Tony’s back, but when she didn’t, there was DEFINITELY a ring…Melissa engaged? Looked like to it me!

  21. Loved watching DWTS last night. Melissa was very good, considering the short practice time compared to the others. I’m also glad that Tony Davolani is finally paired with somebody who has a decent chance to win the whole thing — I know there is a long way to go, and often there are people who improve a lot over the weeks.

Tony seems to be able to bring out the best in the people he is paired with, but he often doesn’t have much to work with. Each professional dancer on DWTS seems to be paired with a certain type of person, probably related to the professional’s perceived strengths. Tony usually doesn’t get the women in their 20s, and usually the people he has been with need a lot of coaching to bring out their best performance. He is very good at that, but it’s nice to see him with a woman who has some obvious abilities from the very beginning.

  22. Wow, Melissa did great last night on DWTS and she looked absolutely gorgeous! She looked much better than she did on TB. She was glowing and radiating happiness!

As for those who are saying she is doing another reality show; I am sorry to inform you but DWTS is a competition and is no more a reality show than the Superbowl or the Olympics.

  23. Also, i want to add that although I am a fan RS, i am disappointed in you telling us to move on and TB behind us. You are the one who built up this hype and got us all so excited and dragged out the big scoop for weeks. To tell us to move on so soon is a bit of a slap in the face to your fans.

  24. Previous partners with Tony Davolani on DWTS:

Stacy Kiebler — came in 3rd (OK, that was one that doesn’t fit the pattern of partners I mentioned above — she had a lot of natural ability and was in her 20s)

Sara Evans (she withdrew due to personal situation)

    Leeza Gibbons (9th place)

    Jane Seymour (6th place)

Marissa Jaret Winokur (reached finals — one of Tony’s best coaching jobs)

    Susan Lucci (can’t remember… about 6th?)

Tony’s not even my favorite of the DWTS professionals… but I’ve really noticed the patterns, and pairing him with Melissa breaks the pattern (Nancy O’Dell pairing was perpetuating the pattern).

  25. If you look under “Reality TV” you will find “Dancing With the Stars”.

  26. 97 Kami,

Thanks for posting the Bonnie Hunt show link. She’s “amazing”. I love the way she didn’t let J-Scum off the hook the way Ellen did. On the ATFR J-Scum kept saying how he had “no regrets” at all and I thought he was such a douche for repeating that over and over.

Now that everyone hates him he’s sooooo sowwwy, sniff, sniff. At least he didn’t break down with his fake crying again. These two losers really need to get their stories straight. If you’re going to lie you have to be consistent, especially when everyone can go back and see what you said before. Dumb and Dumber. Go away until you announce your breakup.

  27. jerseygirl — some people on another forum said Melissa was wearing a birthstone ring.

  28. I was wondering about the ring too. Surely, if she was engaged she wouldn’t publicize it then she couldn’t play the victim role..poor thing.

Anyhoo, she did look awesome last night and danced awesome as well. She’s a very beautiful girl.

  29. I am a newcomer to your sight and I am very happy to have found you. While I was as horrified as everyone else in America by Jason’s behavior, I was not suprised. Jason was a wimp and is a wimp (I liked Jeremy) and the fact that producers told him to do this and he did does not suprise me. Neither does the fact that Molly would creep around like that with Jason. She’s a whore who slept with Jason in the tent. Admit it you liars!! I have to say that I was NEVER a Melissa fan (I picked Jillian from episode 1), I was very impressed with the way she has handled herself. Jason and Molly disgust me and I avoided the ATFR 2 and was glad Melissa did as well. Jason and Molly are both awful people with no souls and they deserve eachother but America does not deserve to have their “love” shoved down our throats. When they break up, the real truth will come out and Molly will throw Jason under the bus. ABC will again spin it as though it was all Jason doing it on his own but we all know he is too dumb for that. In the end, I hope Melissa wins DWTS and Jason gets to watch her week after week while hiding it from the ever so jealous Molly. He will eventually realize he screwed up and I think America has already figured out that Jason is a tool. Too bad Ty has to be put through all this and I hope that he is young enough that he will not remember any of this. Thanks RS for all the info and I look forward to putting this all behind us…Bring on Jillian!!

What in the heck is your beef? Do you have a problem with people who enjoy reality shows – or who enjoy talent shows – or who enjoy ANYTHING? Everytime you post, it’s a sarcastic, insulting jab at someone or something. Are you just that type of person? Cause if you are, maybe you need some type of counseling, or happy pills or something. I usually just go past your posts because I know they will be negative against something or someone. I don’t believe you have had a single positive thing to say about anything. Maybe this particular blog isn’t the place for you – you don’t seem to like any of us and don’t seem to have anything in common with the majority of us. I’m not telling you to go away – you have every right to be on here. I’m just trying to figure out why you bother since you think reality shows are ridiculous. Everyone has different interests – some of us like some reality shows, some like others – but we all like some of them which is why we are on REALITY STEVE’s blog. If you want to discuss the economy or war or the purpose of life, maybe this isn’t the place. If you just want to be a s**t stirrer, maybe you should look for a s**t blogger. I don’t care whether you post here or not – I will make sure to look at the name of the poster before I read their comments – and I will be avoiding yours. LIke I said, you are free to say whatever you want – I, however, am free to not read what you have to say.

  31. Mel’s ballet training really showed on DWTS. Bruno was right she has beautiful lines when she dances. Go Melissa!

  32. Deegirl – loved your link! Mel was beautiful last night – and sooooo graceful. She looked very happy.

  33. Uh first of all, 185, I was referring to someone else who said that DWTS is NOT a reality shows. OBVIOUSLY, since I did watch TB and am NOW wathing DWTS I don’t have a problem with reality shows, huh? The comments I have posted here are regarding the shows and are in direct correlation with the topic. I am very sorry you take it so personally. Maybe you shouldn’t, don’t you think? I am simply posting what I’m thinking at the time, which, to my knowledge, is what this site is for? To discuss these things? Maybe I’m wrong. I’m sorry I don’t agree with you regarding certain individuals, but, hey, that’s life. If you can’t accept someone having a different opinion as yours, maybe you shouldn’t be on this site? Either way, it doesn’t hurt my feelings whether you read my posts or not, darling. My life will go on. Get over it. It’s a show. It’s not personal. Sorry for you it is.

  34. 185. whoknew i just figured it out “canusaybrainwash” is really that sorry-a$$ Aletheia chick with the other post that takes RS writtings, twists them and says its her information. She cruises this site and gets whatever she needs and posts on her blog. She is a sorry sack of you-know-what…

  35. You very well may be right mrgreen! I just am not reading her comments any more – I come here to have fun. If I want to see fight, I can watch my grandkids who obviously have issues with sibling rivalry!
I wish I could figure out the website where Alltimebachfan found her info regarding Molly and Jason. I believe what she says, but I obviously don’t know enough about places to go to find out info.

  36. People… ya’ll are so funny! You really think Jason and Molly CARE about watching Mel on DWTS? NOO!!! Much less be “jealous” or “regretful”!! If everything RS said is actually TRUE, then Jason won’t give a rats ass about anything pertaining to Mel. He never wanted her from the get-go!!! Get REAL!!!
And how bout we DROP the bashing and negativity towards J and M… its OVER… MOVE ON! Their 15 mins is up…RS’s is up… Fleiss’s is up… And Mel’s will obviously be forevermore!!! =)

  37. Why on earth do people here assume to speak for America? There a lot of people in America like me that never bought this show or any of the events on it being real and still don’t. That don’t believe a word that has come out of the mouths of Fleiss, Jason, Molly AND Melissa. But that’s just me

  38. Melissa looked “Simply Marvelous” on DWTS.

She danced well, her dress was incredible …… the whole presentation over shadowed her lower back tattoo.

  39. I just got to see the Bonnie Hunt show videos. She was great! Good old Molly looked like one of those desgraced politicians wives who has to stand by her man and smile. You could tell she was VERY uncomfortable! She likes to take control of things but Bonnie didn’t let her for a minute. Her smile looked rather thin at times!

I think jason ought to go on DWTS…he was doing some fancy footwork of his own trying to dance around Bonnie’s questions. I love her. She didn’t let him off the hook for a minute! And, her sarcasm was great. I’m sure Molly and Jason left there just staring at each other like WTF?

As I’ve said before, be careful what you wish for because you just might get it all!

  40. I didn’t even realize she had a tatoo until someone said something? I thought whatever they used to cover it up was part of the dress.

  41. Why couldn’t Jason make it work with Melissa? I got answers!
    by Jessica Radloff, relationship columnist

Like many viewers, I was disgusted with the finale (well, the “After The Final Rose” finale, I should say) last week on “The Bachelor.” From the get-go, I adored Melissa. She was gorgeous, self-deprecating, loving, honest, and truly the catch-of-a-lifetime (that, or really, really good editing). And even though I had read all the spoilers and knew Jason was on tap to do something really lousy, I wanted to believe that Jason and Melissa’s proposal by the sea would turn into a trip down the aisle. So when Jason announced to America only 5 minutes later (6 weeks in real-time) that the chemistry with Melissa just wasn’t there in the real world, I couldn’t help but wonder how on earth that could happen. I saw their intimate moments together, and for the love of ABC, you can’t make that stuff up. Jason’s excuse of ‘I just changed my mind’ didn’t work for me, and as a relationship expert, I was determined to know why. As a result, I present my two theories that will answer what all of America is thinking: How could Jason dump Melissa for Molly?!

    1) Jason & The Candy Store

On Deanna’s season of “The Bachelorette,” I thought Jason was cute, but I was not enamored with him the way some of my other girlfriends were. He almost seemed a bit creepy the way he starred into Deanna’s eyes and followed her around like a puppy dog. I couldn’t even watch their one-on-one dates together because he just screamed desperation. That’s what made Graham so attractive to Deanna . . . he was mysterious and a bit of a challenge. Deanna knew he liked her, but pinning him down was half the fun. With Jason, he was the sure thing, and probably would have rolled out the red carpet for Deanna had he had one.

So when Jason was announced as this season’s “Bachelor,” I was curious to see how he would act in Deanna’s shoes. To my surprise (well, maybe not exactly), his demeanor had changed completely. He was no longer this lost soul looking for love, but a cocky lothario enjoying the fruits of ABC’s labor. At one point I wondered if ABC actually took him to “Bachelor” camp and gave him a large dose of confidence.

With the tables turned and Jason in the drivers seat, he was presented with 25 gorgeous women who all wanted a shot with him. It’s amazing what that kind of interest will do to a guy. Whereas he might have been dancing on cloud nine if he met Jillian on the streets of Seattle, he was now able to c’est la vie for something shinier, prettier and flashier. The old Jason never would have let her go. The candy store Jason couldn’t wait to try all the delicious treats in front of him (and we’re expected to believe Jason and Molly ONLY kissed in the tent. Um, okay). He became a product of the OVER-stimulus package, and with it, gained a new sense of self, and self-worth.

    2) The Challenge of Molly

If you watched any of the post-After the Final Rose interviews that Jason did with the media, you’ll know two things: 1) There was nothing he could pinpoint about what went wrong with his relationship with Melissa, and 2) he kept on saying that “Molly challenges me.” That statement right there was all you needed to know. As much as Melissa was stunning, compassionate, loving, and a willing partner, she didn’t challenge Jason.

Granted, she was also trying to win Jason, so when the chase was over, it became a question of ‘now what?’ But no matter how attracted Jason was to her, she rarely questioned him, teased him, or made him work for her (at least from the editing we saw). Possibly as a result of past boyfriends, Melissa was more concerned about having Jason love her than her finding the reasons she loved him. That’s why she was so joyous when he proposed. It was a validation of all those past loves that hadn’t worked out, and now it had. As girls, so many of us understood Melissa’s journey and as a result, rooted for her happiness on the journey to find Mr. Right.

Molly, on the other hand, always had an air of confidence about her. Maybe because of her parent’s example, she was more comfortable keeping her feelings in check than on display, but regardless, she acted as though Jason was lucky to be with her, not the other way around. In fact, if you want to look at it more closely, Melissa was Jason from “The Bachelorette.” Had Melissa met Jason following his rejection with Deanna, their relationship might well have worked, but with Jason being presented with a plethora of choices, the world (or land of beautiful women) was at his fingertips.

From my point of view, Molly was the girl who didn’t own a hairbrush, lined her eyes way too much, and was nowhere near ready to be a wife or a step-mom. Melissa was the opposite and totally ready to step into Jason’s life in Seattle. But the bottom line was that Molly made Jason work for her, whereas with Melissa, she had already done all the work for him.

As much as I wanted the Melissa and Jason happy ending on “The Bachelor” this season, I’m now so glad that Melissa didn’t end up with that creep. What I find so astonishing is that although everyone admonishes Jason for breaking up with Melissa on air (which wasn’t really the case), his real lack of judgment came moments later when he was on the couch sucking face with Molly. He could have AT LEAST waited to do that off camera, or on the second “After the Final Rose.” I guess her ‘amazing eye’s cast a spell on him. Regardless, it was a total slap in the face to anything he shared with Melissa, and a true look into what kind of an idiot this guy was.

I don’t care much of what happens now to Jason and Molly, but I do hope poor Ty doesn’t spend all his life in therapy. As for Melissa, I think she’ll be the real star in her next relationship (which ironically enough, seems to be with a guy named Ty). After all, her realizing what a catch she is couldn’t have come without Jason dumping her to make way for Molly. Talk about irony.
