Given it was just announced that Reid, Kiptyn, Jesse and Michael are appearing at the Calgary Women’s show on October 24th and filming is supposed to start October 15th or at least the meet and greet, guessing it is not Reid or Kip. Which leaves……………..

Could this guy being any more smug and arrogant? He chaulks up his behavior to being “a bachelor in every sense of the word”? Come on…that was the best excuse you can come up with after having several weeks to think about it? Even Ellen tries to school him, but he dismisses it. Ed continues to be the biggest douchebag in Bachelor/Bachelorette history. Who is advising this guy? If he had an ounce of brains or introspection, he would have apologized on national TV to Lindsey and Bethany for being such a cad, and then apologized to Jillian for any embarrassment he caused her. And yes, Ed, you owe the fans an apology, too. When you signed up for a huge reality TV show and Bachelorette adored by millions, you invited the public into your life, and there should be a sense of responsibility there, too. Regarding Jillian being “one of the most intelligent women I’ve ever met” – granted she is beautiful, sincere, and apparently the most trusting woman on the planet, but intelligent? Is “intelligent” Ed-code for “easy manipulated”? And, with all due respect to Jillian, can someone that knows her please tell her proper grammer is “he and I”, not “him and I”. Women of Chicago – head for the hills after the big break-up which I predict will come quietly after the next Bachelor season airs so there is something else for the fans to focus on.

so, part of this is confusing me! Why, on June 4th, would Lindsey even ask “are you the final one” if she thought he had already finished the show weeks before and was on a business trip just prior to seeing eachother on June 4th? that makes no sense. There would be no reason to ask him that question..

Hey Steve, Thanks for all the reporting, but I think you are being spoon-fed a story by the PR dept of ABC/Next – they want scandals to improve ratings. Sure some ABC people must have been upset that you broke the Jason/Melissa scandal, but they certainly weren’t upset after seeing the ratings for the re-union show.

Real life is weird, unscripted, bizarre, yet completely exploitable. I think the ABC producers realized they can no longer have a “scripted” reality show and ignore real life indiscretions, break-ups, love triangles, work problems, and monetary rewards.

There’s the fake reality show, and now there is the fake “real-life.” You’ve said the show isn’t about finding love and I think at this point the producers know there is no way to force or pretend love. But I think people watch to believe the fantasy and for the entertainment.

I feel bad for Jillian, but she did seem to want the bad boys. Its unfortunate that she was duped, but in the real world, love is often messy, people date around, and it often doesn’t work out.

A poster was looking for this quote on the ABC board, I am the one that posted it there. I read it on the Chicago Tribune article about Ed and Jillian that was published August 26th, and this was the first comment in the comments section at 4:23 p.m. I copied and pasted it for my own use, and here is the original comment, shocking as it is. I agree that Ed is a swine:
” I know Ed through my boyfriend, and believe me he is getting off EASY with this coverage. The truth is so much worse. He only went back to the show for monetary reasons and with the promise that he WOULD NOT be the final guy but would just be there to create drama. He was mortified after the one realtor guy got cut because that was who Ed was told that she was in love with. Both have been promised additional money if they continue for a certain period of time, and he really wants that bonus. His hand is also forced right now to stay with Jillian for that specific period of time or until she decides to call it quits because somehow the show has a copy of all this, plus a lot more that hasn’t been made public. Jillian is the butt of a joke to Ed, and talks really horribly about her to his friends. It is now a game to see how horribly he can behave and her still want to be with him. There has been an indiscretion AFTER all this story broke. There is a very good reason that none of his old friends have come forward to defend him. I am dying to talk to Jillian and tell her everything, but Ed knows how much he disgusts me so he probably won’t bring her around when I am there, at least not until he has earned his bonus. He is a pig.
