Watched Bonnie Hunt this morning – she always has a discussion with Ellie the day after. Ellie pointed out something that I completely missed – after Vienna joined Jake in bed and he asked her to leave, she kissed him and then…. HE WIPED OFF HER KISS AS SHE WAS GETTING OUT OF THE BED!!!! They replayed it in slow mo. Go to Bonnie’s website to watch the video! Really makes me think this whole season is a total fake. Why oh why didn’t he keep the Air National Guard captain or the pilot around?!

Steve, I know there is absolutely no way that you are sure (you almost never are), but I so hope you are!
I, just, hate, Vienna!
I can almost forgive Jason with the whole Molly, Melissa deal, almost forgive Jillian for keeping Wes around that long, and not picking Reid, but how on earth can Jake pick Vienna, weither it is ABC script or not?

Ali seems so great for Jake, Tenley wouldn’t be bad either. But Vienna, Vienna?

I haven’t read all the comments (sorry) but I was wondering if you mentioned this? I’m a little behind, b/c I’m playing catch up with my DVR. However, during the episode that Elizabeth was eliminated, I noticed something odd. When Vienna interrupted Elizabeth and Jake during the rose ceremony, which sent Elizabeth into crazy town crying it looked like Vienna was waiting for a promp from a producer. She was waiting in the back of the room and she is very clearly gesturing as if to say “come over now?” and she’s mouthing something. She definitely waited for something b/c otherwise there would have been no reason for her to stand there in the back of the room where she can’t hear what they are saying. I feel a little bad for Vienna. I have yet to see what the girls are all upset about and it just makes them look bad.

Anyone notice?

unexpected. this season i expected the boredom to be sure, and that the women would bring the drama. what is unexpected is how much likablity i find for them all, even vienna. in one show there is the vixen and then later the virgin and i must say i enjoy the contrasts. also unexpected is that even though i like these women that this show is still so un-compelling in that i trust none of them will be too hurt when they leave the show and that there is nothing big or small to be really gained by this years outcome. this season feels like a light breeze to me: unexpected and certainly not as unpleasant as i had once thought. this boredom is somehow sweet in how low the drama really is.

Has anyone else seen the Gia videos out there? I didn’t realize she was a Maxim girl until I googled her name. Type in Gia Allemand in Google’s video search engine…when they say she is a bikini model, they aren’t kidding around.

These “previews” that never show in the televised episodes are most annoying. By trying to top themselves each new Bachelor/ette series, they are just making themselves look ridiculous. But all the more opportunity to make fun of the shows and their participants and their set-up activities! Keep up the good work Reality Steve; I really enjoy reading your blog every week.

Is it possible they hired Vienna as a “backup” for Jake just in case he decided that he didn’t like any of the other bachelorettes ABC chose – he could have a “safe out” and wouldn’t have to hurt any feelings? Vienna could be acting purposely to “stir the pot” with the other ladies and get the ratings up for the otherwise-dull season.
On the flip side; if Jake indeed did see his clean-livin persona being compatible with any of the bachelorettes, Vienna would have been sent home and love found.
What are other people’s thoughts on this theory?
Steve? Is that possible considering Fleiss and his gang are capable of stuff like what happened in Jason’s season?

One of the girls called Ali the most level headed of them all….I feel like if that were true…she wouldnt be throwing these lavish “viewing parties” every monday night at a club near my house so people could go and watch her on tv…I dont think in anyway she is a bad person, by any means, I just wouldn’t go as far as saying she is grounded and not attention seeking. She should be the next bachelorette only bc she loves acting and wants to be on TV and will sign anything to be on a show, which is a quality ABC wants.

Did any of you visit the ABC website recently? There was a video on there featuring Vienna and the narrator called her a “vixen” and said something about her “claws coming out”. Today that video is gone. I think Steve is totally right about the network editing what we see so that Vienna doesn’t ever appear to be doing anything to cause the drama because she is the chosen one at the end. Just seems kinda of mysterious for a brief video saying her claws were gonna come out disappeared.

It’s going to be The Vienna Show from here on. The only way to salvage the season was to cast a straw man and let the crazies put on a show around him. Jake is useless collateral. My guess is the next episode spends more time showing the women away from Jake than interacting with him. Personally, I think Vienna could be a big reality star if she didn’t have the one year contract holding her back. Big bet that she is on the summer show (and that Jake is not)
