Just to clear up the pilot question… I am a commercial pilot and can clarify. Who they are employed by has nothing to do with the certificate a pilot holds. Pilots are issued certificates (commonly called licenses outside of the aviation community) through the FAA. There are 4 certificates: Student, Private, Commercial, Airline Transport (ATP). Commercial and ATP can be compensated for flying, and you cannot be a flight instructor (CFI) without holding a Commercial or ATP certificate. It takes a lot of time and experience to become a CFI. In terms of the aircraft a pilot can fly, your certificate will specify if you can fly single or multi-engine aircraft (for example); type ratings are required for heavy and turbojet powered aircraft. It would be EXTREMELY expensive for a pilot to go out and get type-rated in more advanced aircraft on their own. What usually happens is the carrier that hires the pilot trains them on their aircraft (by an pilot/instructor such as Jake) and the pilot thereby earns a type rating on the aircraft they will be flying for their employer.

I’m not really sure what they mean by saying she took her husband’s GI Bill. My understanding of a GI Bill is that it is only for educational purposes. Commonly, the educational assistance services for family members of the military are also called GI Bills, though I don’t know if they technically are. I am the daughter of a disabled vet and as such, went to school on one of these programs. And my mother took some college classes via such means as well. Does this mean that they are implying that Vienna went to school on her husband’s GI Bill? Because if her husband was on active duty, then I find it hard to believe that he would be in school, and therefore collecting money via the GI Bill program. It just seems odd to me that they would say she took his GI Bill.

Vienna couldn’t do that. GI Bill education benefits follow the serviceman, not the spouse, and the spouse could not take advantage of them until after honorable discharge.

Any other associations or behaviors you might attribute to Christian + occupation is bigoted, just as if you start making cracks about “Jewish Moneylenders” or “Hindu Store Clerks.” I’m pretty sure Christians each have their own ideas, morals and professional goals just like anyone else. First of all, many Israelis are dual citizens of the US including many Senators, White House officials and members of Homeland Security, so it’s likely that these supposed Israeli spies work for Israel but hold passports for the US as well. Second, Fleiss is a disgusting sub-human and he was probably full of it when he was making himself look like a big shot and trying to intimidate his current employees (and Steve) by implying some fanciful connection to Israeli intelligence. Third, you really dont know how things work in the US. Israel citizens have impunity in the US, we send them $4.5 billion a year to support their quality of life and even when they’ve been caught stealing our national secrets they get off. If you think a couple of guys beating up some Americans and tapping some phones and buying off some phone records is going to cause an international incident… lol.
