A few things to go over here regarding the news in “Bachelor” world. I think some of you are confused by what I said about Rozlyn’s appearance on Monday’s “Women Tell All” episode, so let me be as clear as I can. Since Rozlyn spoke to RadarOnline, it pretty much confirmed what I had heard. As I mentioned, Rozlyn never once confronts Jake on the show. They’re never on the same stage together at the same time, nor does she ever interact with him at any point. However, some of you took that to mean when she was brought out, it was just her and Chris on stage. Not the case. From what I heard, which was then confirmed by Rozlyn in her interview, she was kept sequestered from all the other women during the whole taping. She says she was backstage “for hours” while taping started, and didn’t even know what was being said since they weren’t letting her listen in. When they brought her out for her segment, obviously all the girls had already been there the whole time, and that’s when everything started for her.
Which brings up quite an interesting point. This has never been done in the history of a “Tell All” show. All the girls they talk to, they’ve kept on stage the whole show. So why isolate Rozlyn from the rest of the girls before AND after the show. Remember, immediately after they were done taping Rozlyn’s segment, she was taken off stage and sent home. No after parties, no mingling with the girls, nothing. I think it’s rather obvious why this occurred. Because they knew if they gave Rozlyn a chance to talk to the girls, she’d find out what producers were telling them to say to her and their cover would be blown. Plus, if she knew what an ambush she was about to walk in to, she could’ve prepared how she’d respond, and they certainly didn’t want that. It’s all very calculating and manipulative on ABC’s part, and I’m sure Rozlyn isn’t going to come off looking good on the show at all. They painted her as the villain from the first episode, and they wanted to make sure that role was played up by telling all the girls before they went on stage what to bring up in regards to Rozlyn’s situation. I think it’s pretty easy to see what went on that night, although how much of it that will be shown on Monday is a completely different story.
Another thing being brought to my attention was the video footage they showed Monday of the finale in two weeks. Some of you are under the impression that by the footage they’ve shown, you think he’s rejecting both women. I said it on Jan. 6th, and I’ll say it again: He chooses Vienna. The only thing I don’t know is if he proposed, or just asked to continue dating her. I’m kinda surprised that you would look at something they gave you in a promo and come to that conclusion. Lets remember they also ran previews earlier this season that:
-Had Tenley saying she was pregnant (Edited to be false)
-Had Jake kicking over a light and storming out of a 1-on-1 with the camera (Never shown)
-Had Ali placing a phone call asking to come back (Was never going to happen)
-Saying Rozlyn returns to face Jake for the first time (Doesn’t happen)
So I wouldn’t put much stock into what they show you in the previews. This show is notorious for showing clips to make you think one way, when in reality, that clip is taken out of context. Of course they want you to think something is fishy about the final rose ceremony. Keeps you interested. I think this show has come to accept that because their finale is filmed months of advance of it actually being aired on television (in this case, the final rose ceremony was filmed the week of Thanksgiving and doesn’t air til March 1st), they realize stuff is going to get out. It’s practically impossible not to. Three and a half months? You don’t think people are going to talk in that time? They just didn’t think that someone would’ve given the results out two days after the first episode aired. You’re welcome.
A lot of you are asking me about the Jason and Molly wedding and the details behind it. Honestly, I know nothing. The only thing I heard is that the wedding is sometime next weekend. Don’t know where, don’t know who’s invited, and honestly, I don’t really care. It will air on TV Monday night, March 8th. Now, as many of you know, we’re having a get together in Vegas that weekend the 5th – 7th (by the way, anyone still interested you can contact me and I’ll give you details). However, that’s not all I have going on that weekend. Sunday morning, I have a 10am flight out of Vegas since I have to be in New York for work starting that Monday. So there’s a good chance I’m not going to watch Jason and Molly’s show live on Mon. the 8th. And even if I do, I won’t have a column up the next day. I’m in NY from that Sunday til Wednesday, so give me a couple days once I get back to watch it and then write about it. I’m not expecting much major news to come from the actual wedding. Unless of course, someone stands up in the middle of the ceremony and objects to them getting married. Or maybe Melissa Rycroft-Strickland parachutes in and crashes the whole thing after getting embarrassed by them on national TV. That would be fun.
Because I’ve been kinda busy this season, I’ve rarely had time to look at the comments people post on my page. I’ll skim through them on occasion just to make sure no one is writing stuff completely out of line, but do I sit and go through every one with a magnifying glass? No. Comments are always coming in all throughout the day. I just don’t have time to go over all of them. However, some of you seem to be up in arms regarding a post by someone who said they live near Vienna and she’s been dating someone she knows for the last couple weeks, and at the ATFR filming, she’s gonna drop some bomb on Jake. Really? You people believe this? Someone who anonymously posts on a comment board without any evidence or names to back up what they’re saying? The reason I don’t out my sources is because they trust me. In return for their information, I promise not to reveal who they are. So if someone is using a username on a message board, we obviously don’t know who they are, so they should be free to use names and where they’re getting their information from. Do you realize how easy it is to write something anonymously on a message board saying something to the effect of, “I know someone who knows someone in production, and they told me this”, or “I know someone who knows Vienna and she’s dating so-and-so”. It’s ridiculous. I’ve given my thoughts on message board posters plenty of times in the past, so need to get into it again. But because a friend of someone who claims to know Vienna says something, I wouldn’t take it face value. C’mon. Vienna and Jake certainly may not be together at this point, but it’s definitely not because an anonymous poster wrote it.

What I don’t understand is why Roz EVER agreed to go back on this show. She’s had plenty of time to see how scummy they’ve acted all around, and the editing to make her look so bad. Why would she think that would be any different in this situation? Maybe they paid her to appear? Why else open yourself up to that abuse?
Roz thinks any publicity is good publicity. She knows they will edit her badly, but she got to say what she wanted to say in front of the women (even though she couldn’t interact and mingle with them) and she got the zinger in at Chris in front of the entire crew and audience. She was then able to give an interview to radaronline about the experience, and she will probably be contacted by other media after the show airs. At the end of the day, her name and face are on TV again and she will get more exposure for it. She thinks this is better for her career than silently stewing at home. Will it help her? Who knows, only time will tell.
EXCELLENT explanation! I think your logic is absolutely right! I hadn’t thought about everyone else (at the taping) getting to hear her and it may be just enough vindication for her. I was beginning to think this girl is really crazy for doing this – yeah, crazy like a fox!
Interesting observations. I would think the producers wouldn’t want Rozlyn on the show (like they didn’t want Wes to come on). I’d like to hear Michelle’s explanation of her appearance on the show.
I gotta say this in response to the Vanilla Ice idolation. I liked actor/singer Jamie Walters back in the 90s when he was on “The Heights” and “90210.” Really like the song “How Do you Talk To An Angel.” I remember on 90210 at the end he was an abusive boyfriend toward Donna(Tori Spelling). I ran into him recently, and he is now a paramedic in LA. I asked him why he didn’t stay on 90210, and he said when he went out on tour, teenage girls would hold up signs at his concerts and yell out at him”Leave Donna alone,” and “Don’t hurt Donna!” He said it was hurting his image and said he asked Aaron Spelling to either change his character or write him off the show.
Steve, do you know of anyone who has hard evidence to prove that Vienna and Jake are truely NOT together anymore? Everyone seems to have the opinion that they are not together today, but where’s the evidence of that? Why is everyone assuming this? Is it because of Jake’s reactions during interviews or is he just good at putting on a good poker face?

According to this article, Ali is saying she got a leave of absence after her employer saw how much Jake meant to her and so she called Jake to see if she could come back. Puh-lease
Huh, I dont really understand how people actually think that Bachelor Pad thing is gonna be a hit? ABC is stretching thin with the amount of years they have aired the Bachelor/ette shows, and its getting tiring. I would much rather PARTY with these people than watch them on some lame show hooking up and competing for cash. Real World/Road Rules challenges were so last year. Stick a fork in it.

Oh yeah, Ellen is huge. I’ve been watching since Day One although many times I just fast-forward through episodes since a lot of it is estrogen-heavy fluff. Every now and then she has somebody good. But if you didn’t realize how big she is, just ponder this, Drew Brees and his wife were such big fans they gave Ellen’s mom two of their personal tickets — I believe players get 15 for the Superbowl — and complete locker room access before and after the game and Brees even was wearing Ellen underwear when he played. Steve: First let me say that I read your blog regarding the Bachelor because you are always right. However, let me also say that I get really irritated while reading your blog. You almost sound condescending. You sound very angry about the whole thing. Instead of making this fun, you make it sound like you are uncovering a political conspiracy. This is not a scandal. This is a silly television show and no one takes it seriously. You are always right. But this blog is so far from lighthearted it is not even funny. We know the show is 99.9% fake. Ok all I have to say is anyone who would send a threat over revealing things that are going to happen on a show is in serious need of therapy and medical attention. Seriously folks it is a freaking TV show. How can anyone get that psycho over people they do not know and are being paid and under contract – come on get a grip.

I wish I could tell if the part about Ali’s “employer saw how much Jake meant to her and wanted to be supportive” is an actual quote from Ali or Popwatch speculation. If the former, it’s pretty much in line with what I predicted in this comment from the pre-phonecall post. It doesn’t mean I’m right that Facebook didn’t demand Ali return to work, but I think it lends credence to that theory.
I need fairygirl to do some simple internet research and tell us if it’s a quote from Ali.

I agree, a bit condesending. People forget this is foremost a TV show, and reality second. No conspiracy. All TV shows are edited to provide the best message and angle, no secret. Yea a marriage or two gives more viewer credibilty, but is not the main goal. However, I do hate when they use it to ruin peoples lives (set up a false villian, as they always need a villian). Roz is no angel.
Reality Steve has is now doing exactly what he goofs on TB for doing…taking himself too seriously.
It is starting to look like he has become a bitter and angry guy and that is when the humor stops and the ranting begins. Many years ago there was a comedian named Lenny Bruce who was hilarious until he was censored for profanity. From that point on all of his “humor” dealt with how rotten the government is for censoring him. That got old real fast and he was no longer funny.
Reality Steve was funny when (and still is) when goofs on the contestants, but when he tries find a “scandal” on every Bachelor show he becomes a joke himself.
Nobody ever heard of Reality Steve until he got the “big scoop” on Jason and Melissa. So now he is a celebrity and that is wonderful for him.
The problem is that now RS feels that the only way to keep his celebrity status is to continually find “scandalous things” to “expose” on the Bachelor. First it was the “Wes scandal”. But no matter how hard RS tried to push it most of us realized that Wes went on the show to get publicity for his singing career and had no interest in Jillian.
Then came the “Rozlyn scandal” but we can easily see that she was canoodling with a camera man, even it it didn’t end up in full sex. The Rozlyn thing was a one week event until RS decided that he needed to become her defender.
Now we have the “Ali phone call scandal”…blah blah blah
Here is a piece of information that might be helpful to Steve in the future….
WE KNOW THE SHOW IS FAKE STEVE…YES WE REALLY GET IT! WE ARE NOT AS DUMB AS YOU THINK WE ARE AND YOU DON’T HAVE TO KEEP TELLING US WHAT WE ALREADY KNOW!
By the way my sources inside the the RS camp tell me that soon RS will expose the following scandals:
1. The is no Santa Claus.
2. Babies aren’t delivered by storks
3. Not everyone comes on the Bachelor to find true love (gasp!)
Lighten up Steve! Please realize that many of us who come on this site so do so because we like to goof on the Bachelor show and you too!!!

Reality Steve. I think you are awesome! I’m a major in Mass Comm Telecommunications and watch Reality Television for what it looks like the same reasons you do. I look into all the little aspects and it humors me to see how twisted editing can really make the true reality just so the show can acquire more viewers and boost it’s ratings. I wish you offered an internship or something along those lines so I could receive college credit and go undercover and do exactly what you do and write up blogs on all the reality shows that humor me. Job well done, and keep up the good work!
I have never posted on this site before, but I want to completely agree with “lithargic” (Feb. 19) comments.
Reality Steve has become ridiculous in his quest to “uncover” all of the bachelor problems. Yes, he DID know about the Jason/Molly/Melissa scandal, but that does NOT make him an expert on all of these other things he is ranting about.
First of all, Rozlyn. I think RS is so attracted to her that he is trying to impress her by defending her. It didn’t have to be SEX to be an INAPPROPRIATE relationship with the employee. She was supposed to be there for Jake.
She is obviously a loose girl (how many girls would show their crotch at a photo shoot like she did?), and was not in the least bit surprised when Chris mentioned the inappropriate relationship to her.
So, as much as RS is infatuated with Rozlyn (he said she was one of the 3 most beautiful girls EVER cast on the show) she did WRONG being involved in ANY WAY with an employee of the show while she was there supposedly meeting Jake and I’m glad she was sent home!!
I can’t believe RS is going on and on and on and on about how “wronged” she is. I read a lot of his Jason/Molly posts, but he’s going too far now, and does come across as angry and a little obscessive etc., as several posters are mentioning.

Most all of my friends that watch this show think it’s mostly true. There are truly only a few of us that get just how fake this show is.
Can’t wait to see the Rozlyn part of the WTA. ABC has already released videos showing how fake the whole situation is. Ashley E. has said in post interviews that Elizabeth, Gia, and Vienna were the only ones that saw anything. In the video released where the girls are sitting around talking just after they boot Roz both Elizabeth and Gia say they saw cuddling but nothing worth saying anything about. From that we can assume they didn’t say anything. That leaves Vienna. From just about every episode we know that Vienna loves throwing other girls under the bus. There is another deleted scene released showing the girls on there little bus camping trip. Vienna is trying to spy on Jake and his date using the zoom lens on her camera. In the clip it’s clear that she can’t see jack crap. She even says she can’t see anything but then she gives a full description of how Jake and his date are sitting hugging and holding hands. Just one more example of how she can’t be trusted and will just make stuff up.

THE BETRAYAL TV DIDN’T SHOW!!!
Hey Steve, did you know about this – and did you know that Vienna has been confirmed to be back in Sanford, FL and according to this article, quoted by her close (personal friends) they have confirmed that she is no doubt still in love with her ex boyfriend, Lee Smith. So much so that her friends quote on page 42, that as soon as filming wrapped in November, Vienna ran back home to FL to Lee (only to find that he had moved on to new GF: Cassie Heaberlin (a local waitress) and according to V’s friends, she was so infuriated at Lee, she showed up at his apartment – in the middle of night – and saw Cassie’s car in the driveway. According to friends, she was so angry that she just walked right into his house – supposedly with a botte of wine in her hand – although some of her friends won’t confirm that and supposedly she confronted both Lee and Cassie – while standing at the foot of his bed!
Supposedly, Lee (her ex) is the one that hooked her up with the agent from the Bachelor and is now taking credit for having gotten her on the show!
According to her own words on page 43 of this Us magazine, she told Lee she was only going on the show to become famous!
Page 45 – of this four page spread (which also consists) of an article about Jill and her Ed toy quotes the following:

“That show is just porn without the sex. Soft core plot and soft core acting and no sex.” ~my husband on The Bachelor. Hilarious. It’s my laundry show and I hate it A LOT but watch it anyway. Inexplicable. I enjoy this blog, though. Reality TV, and society in general, needs a good dose of skepticism and real reality. Expose away, as long as it’s accurate. But definitely keep up the skeptical and hilarious review and interpretations of the episodes.
I think it’s funny how upset people are at Steve. He writes a great, amusing blog. He also is engaged in a type of investigative journalism. Yes, this show is a joke, but it’s more interesting and fun with Steve’s commentary. I don’t miss a column!
I do thin it’s awful that all these people are digging up info on Vienna. How mortifying for Vienna to have her personal life splattered across the TV. Gia’s scandal is deserved as she participated in the Maxim video. No one forced her to duct tape her boobs.
Speaking of Gia, can someone please enlighten me about her so-called appeal. Yes, she is attractive, sort of…and she comes across like Michelle Pfeiffer in a awy, in how she is subtly seductive, but soft, shy, and vulnerable.
But honestly, the host who interviewed Steve sung her high praises and everyone on the ABC board is gushing about her alleged “intelligence” and sophistication. Seriously, beyond being a swim suit model, why is this person even generating any buzz. Why is Gia considered “intelligent?” Why is she even being noticed beyond her looks?
Without meaning to sound offensive, from what I saw of her on the show, she came across like an imbecile — what with the inane conversations, spin the bottling, playing hide and go seek, etc. I also thought she was gross when she wore those Daisey Dukes. I mean when she jumped around you could practically see her ass cheeks. Yet, everyone thinks she is so sweet and innocent…I guess, except for me and Steve.:)
To me, she always looked tough and cynical. I could see it in her eyes. It also struck me that she wanted to be Bachelorette and to use this show as a personal platform for her entertainment career. I expect she was coached by her “people.” Let’s be realistic. She is not innocent. Her Maxim video should put any such thoughts to rest. Yet, she was dressed very conservatively on the show and acted all shy. My guess is that she was taught that Jake is a religious man and that she should therefore play it down — as she did. This is not intelligence. This is basic seduction. The birds do it..The bees do it…and I even Reality Steves do it.
In her interviews, Gia cannot hold a conversation nor speak beyond her looks, and whether she got her lips or boobs pumped. She is numbskull, yet people are clamouring for her. Why? Is she that breath takingly beautiful? Take off her long locks and she is kind of goofy looking.
Roz was the stunning one on that show. While I didn’t see her exposing her crotch in the photo shoot, I agree with one of the posters who said she is not an innocent. She lost me when she entered Jake’s tent in her bikini and began doing the shimmy. I mean, come on. How gross. Especially for a mother with a little boy watching at home. I am not Roz fan either, but I can see her beauty. She also comes across as intelligent and poised. Gia? She giggles and acts all helpless I guess she is a nice person, but so is Jillian a nice person, and we all know what a joke she is.
I guess I would have a different view of Gia is she were genuinely a sweet, humble, innocent woman. But after having seen her Maxim videos and knowing about her hook ups and that she is a sports star groupie. She’s the classic sleazy temptress..and let’s be realistic, you don’t get your prey by being rude and obnoxious…you seduce..and that’s the only thing Gia seems to be good at. MY question is…why don’t more women see through that. Heck, even Steve seems to “get it.”

Phei, you are not alone in misunderstanding what was written. What was meant was that Roz was sequestered back stage. She did not sit with the other women. She was brought on stage, attacked by CH and a couple of women spoke to her, and then Roz taken off stage by a producer. Additional video not shown to the women or the WTA “audience” has been inserted in post production.
Gia has a “Joker-Elf Type” facial look which I find amusing and interesting to look at, she isn’t what I find “BEAUTIFUL” though.. She just has way too much hair and is too small physically. If she looks that tiny on screen I cant imagine what she looks like in person. Corrie on the other hand I think is just so perfect, I love the way she looks and dresses. her blog is fun too.
I think Steve is great. This season is so boring w/out this blog. Can’t believe I initially fell for hating Roz. I think Jake may have picked her in top 4. But I hated the way she was always fussing with her fake boobs in those strapless gowns. Ali is so boring. No personality, no humor, no spark and so jealous and catty. Why is she the next Bchette? Do they ask anyone? I haven’t read any blogs in which people adore her. Why is it that Vienna (hated by all) actually has a sense of humor? Ugly, dirty, but she has something going on. Can you imagine Vienna as the next B? Now that would be a show to watch. She could take off the extentions, get her hair back to black and maybe I would like her a little.

I actually have responded this this, with direct quotes and links to them, but the post seems to be lost in “moderating” hell…I can still see it but it is awaiting “moderation”, likely because of the links I provide to the quotes. Unfortunately, I don’t know if Steve is ever going to get around to approving or denying it. But suffice it to say that Ali has said similar things, and yes, a little simple internet research will garner such quotes from her in multiple interview sources.

You should go back and read the first blog RS did on this season. Then perhaps you would understand that ABC is throwing Roz under the bus. You see, apparently the ‘relationship’ Roz had with the producer is NOTHING that hasn’t happened in past seasons. These girls are sequestered in a house 24 hrs a day w/ no phone, computer, or tv. They only have each other & the producers/camera crew to interact with. Its already been stated that girls and guys on past seasons have developed what could be construed as an ‘inappropriate’ relationship w/ show employees. Things like long talks & backrubs have occured between contestants & show employees. Roz wasn’t the first, and won’t be the last. Roz threw a fit about being lied to about her son, so the show had to think of something to get her off (as she was probably going to leave anyway). They needed something that would create drama. Thus, this stupid scandal was concocted. Keep in mind also that mike fleiss is well known to sexually harrass female contestants.
I don’t think roz is an angel in all this. Seems to me if she wanted this thing to die she would just stop talking to the press. No matter what she says or how much proof she has, there is going to be a large percentage of viewers who will believe the sham. I think she wants to extend her 15 minutes. To some, Bad publicity is better than no publicity.
After listening to the Ryan Seacrest Cgris Harrison and Rozlyn interview I dont know if I believe her anymore.. In spite of what RS told us.
Bachelor & Bachelorette is cut, copy, splice and lots of airbrush. Honestly, I like watching this and smile, laugh and feel. It’s Entertainment!! Great segment about Giving Back to the Charities!! Celebrity does have it’s Kudos. Rozlyn is the “Roswell” of Bachelor!! Whelp, time to watch it’s Monday night!! I’ll be reading & watching. Great jobs Steve, who, whomever you are.

Unbelievable how they ganged up on Rozlyn. I felt sorry for her. I think she held her own though. I was cheering for her!!
I enjoy the weekly blog, and I completely understand editing, as the Ali phone call was the worst I have ever seen, but I have been a nurse 23 yrs and one of the skills you acquire is the ability to assess people beyond the obvious. Despite Roz’s physical beauty, she is a liar. Her body language says so. Maybe she did not sleep with this producer, but she made out with him. And Ella even spoke up and said she was worried about Roz the night she left, but her butt up in the air incident. Please…. Ella came off pretty credible in the show, even holding up for Vienna. I don’t believe she was made to speak up, nor do I believe she had anything to gain by stating what she saw. Roz likes the attention, and she GOT it. For whatever reason, Roz did ask Ella if her ex husband signed off for her child to be on TV? I suppose Roz’s ex did not and what??? That meant ABC wanted her out?? Or denied her phone calls? You have to wonder with girls such as Roz, or even Gia…that stunning and they are coming onto a TV show to find love? No, Roz wanted fame, and she has it…all 16 minutes of it. OK….NEXT idiot who wants to splash themselves all over TV for America to bash……

I am fairly new to your site, so time will tell how accurate you will be regarding the finale. As for the Roz fiasco, I can not support the conspiracy theory you state re: ABC vs. Roz. As someone who is paid to read body language, Roz is a liar, a horrible liar, but a liar just the same. Her responses were so weak and off topic, it was sad. She did not look at all uncomfortable or “ganged” up on as some post here. She was loving every minute of the attention.
Just listen to the Roz, Ryan Seacrest and Chris Harrison interview and you can clearly tell Rozlyn with her incessant giggling and her “what??? nooooooooo!! *giggle* *giggle* to almost every question she was either drunk or a terrible liar. Even Chris mentioned the producer being in her home town and her being in LA since the whole scandal trying to get an acting job. Just not believable. Right there with Seacrest on AIR was her cue to dish it ALL out about her contract, how she thought she was being kicked out for writing a card to her son, etc. Instead she chose to giggle and openly flirt with Ryan WTF? If someone accused me on national television of sleeping with someone and I knew it wasnt true Id be going ballistic apeshit on their asses trust me, I wouldnt be giggling like a moron.
However on the other hand, Didn’t both Ella and Jesse say in previous interviews that they hadn’t seen anything in regard to Rozlyn? Isn’t it convenient that Jesse confesses seeing Rozlyn and the producer making out on the stairs for the first time tonight? And Ella with her butt in the air scenario?! There is so much about this that stinks and just doesn’t add up.

I like how one of the first things you say is how “I do think it’s awful that all these people are digging up info on Vienna. How mortifying for Vienna” , when all you’re doing is digging up everything that has been said and posted about Gia. Way to contradict yourself. And you’re right, Gia could have chosen to not have a picture/video taken of her boobs being duct taped, but Vienna could have also refrained from having a nude picture of her boobs coverd by a scarf taken. Your points are irrelevant.
