The Bachelor Recap – 2/22/10 “The Women All Lie”

February 23rd, 2010 | 103 Comments | Posted in The Bachelor 14 - Jake

Which brings us to Rozlyn. I have good news. I will have an interview with Rozlyn up on the site this week. I’m hoping Thursday. For weeks now, all we’ve heard is Rozlyn in short sound bites, edited clips, and on the defensive. Now, it’s gonna be her turn. Since the beginning of the season, I’ve written down every complaint and question people have had regarding Rozlyn in hopes that the interview would finally come about. She will get asked ALL of those questions and more. But rather than seeing her on a tabloid TV show for three or four minutes, you know how my interviews go. I’m expecting it to be rather long. Rozlyn will definitely have to answer all the questions everyone has had since day one regarding her. Sure, the basic answers are going to be ones you’ve probably already heard her say, but there will be stuff that the tabloids haven’t gotten into (or at least haven’t shown), that I’ll be able to get to since there’s no time constraints. This will be an interview you don’t want to miss. I’m looking forward to it. I’m aiming to air the interview on Thursday, barring any unforeseen circumstances. In the meantime, I want to touch on a couple issues regarding her appearance from last night.

The two most outspoken people last night in terms of “details” regarding the alleged “inappropriate relationship”, were Ella and Jessie. I will discredit what they said right now. First, let’s begin with Ella. Three weeks ago, she gave her post show interview. You can read the full interview here, but here’s the part of the interview where speaks about Rozlyn:

“First of all, I have to say that I really think that Rozlyn is a good person,” she told Reality TV World, adding the two had discussed how they were both mothers.

“I really did not see a lot with her and the producer. I saw them being very friendly with each other. I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. So I have to say no, I wasn’t one of the ones who went to the producers.”

Due to all the media attention surrounding Papa, Nolan added she’s not envious of her.

“She’s dealing with a lot right now and I would not want to be in her shoes,” she told Reality TV World.

Whoa, whoa, whoa. So three weeks ago, Ella is telling everyone she feels bad for Rozlyn, never saw anything out of the ordinary, and that Rozlyn is a good person. Yet last night, she’s on the attack telling a story about Rozlyn on all fours on the couch with her ass in the air. Don’t you think that would be considered “out of the ordinary”? Are you kidding me? Did that just happen to slip your mind during this interview, even though you told it twice last night? Ummmm, Ella is lying. Plain and simple. Just read what Ella said three weeks ago above about Rozlyn, then remember what she said last night. Ya’ think she made that up? How anyone can believe anything that Ella said last night after reading this interview from three weeks ago is beyond me. Totally fabricated. Now Ella is claiming today she wanted to tell Rozlyn to her face rather than in a tabloid? Didn’t have to be a tabloid, Ella. This was your post show interview. That’s not tabloid stuff, that’s media you’re required to do by the show. And if you wanted to tell Rozlyn to her face, wouldn’t you either call/text/email her beforehand rather than sniping at her on the show when you hadn’t seen her since she was booted. Very motherly of you, I’d say. Your son would be proud.

As for Jessie, in the first hour of the show, when they asked the girls their thoughts on Rozlyn (when she wasn’t there), this is when she first tells the story of what she saw. She said it was “the day before Rozlyn got booted, I went inside because I wasn’t feeling well, I heard something on the stairs, and the producer was laying down with Rozlyn on top of him making out.” Fine. Great story. Yet when Rozlyn came out, Jessie’s story was “We were all by the pool, I came inside and saw you making out with the producer.” Jessie should probably get her stories straight. And if these two were making out “on the stairs with Rozlyn on top of the producer”, you’re telling me that NOT ONE CAMERA CAUGHT THAT? According to Jessie’s BS, they weren’t even hiding it. Just right there in the stairwell, yet, the cameras completely missed it! Wow! What a coincidence! If people want to study body language and speech pattern on Rozlyn and have a field day with that, so be it. Just do it on Ella and Jessie too. When Jessie was telling her story both times, I felt like she was trying to remember lines and hoping not to screw it up. In the first hour, she even got cotton mouth for a second and almost choked on a sentence.

After Jessie got eliminated, she did two interviews that I saw: a sit down interview in her hometown in Canada, and one with TVGuide.com, and in each one was asked about Rozlyn. The Canada interview was on TV and the host asked, “Ok, let’s talk about the big elephant in the room Rozlyn. There was scandal surrounding her. How’d you feel about Rozlyn?” So, considering how hard Jessie came at Rozlyn last night, for sure she’s already told that story before, right? Surely she’s had that story saved up for anybody that would stick a mic in front of her to finally let loose? Not quite. When pressed about Rozlyn after being booted, this was all Jessie said about her on a TV interview in Canada:

“She was a nice girl, she’s very flirtatious, and you know, everyone was crying when the news came out and when she was sent home. But, I’m like, ‘Why are you crying?’ This is one less girl you have to worry about’.”

Ummmm, that’s it? That’s all you had to say a couple weeks ago, yet, last night you’ve been holding in this deep, dark, scandalous secret about two people on top of each other on the stairs making out? Didn’t bother to ever mention that during your time on the show or before last night, huh? Oh, ok. Verrrrrrry believable. Then the capper of it all, here was the question and answer she gave to TVGuide.com back on Jan. 28th:

TVG: Let’s talk about Rozlyn for a second. Were you privy to what some of the other girls saw?

Jessie: I didn’t see anything, but I heard that other people might have seen something, but we all got over it and past it pretty quickly. We never really talked about it in the house again after that night.

That really sounds like a woman who really cared about what was going on with Roz and the producer. Admits to not seeing anything, then says she hears some things, but everyone was over it pretty quickly and moved past it. Really? Well apparently not considering what people said last night. So which is it? Ladies and gentlemen, if you still honestly believe that story Jessie told on stage twice last night, then you are living in a fantasy world. Just like Ella, she lied. I don’t know how much clearer I can make this. I just gave you examples. These women have done a complete 180 in their answers in less than a month, whereas, Rozlyn has been telling the same story since she got booted in that nothing happened. Both of those women, for whatever reason, decided to change their stories, give in to the producers instructions before the show, and go after Rozlyn. Money? Attention? Promised things? I have no idea. But it’s clear now they had some motivation to not saying anything until the “Women Tell All” show when Rozlyn happened to be there.

Still don’t believe it? Remember what Valishia said on the show last night to Rozlyn about not believing her anymore? Yeah, she made that up, has since apologized to Rozlyn, and essentially admits giving in to being pressured to say that. Read it here. “I kind of felt a little bombarded by producers and people who tried to sway me to that side.” Uh huh. Yeah, none of that was staged last night. Sure it wasn’t. So I applaud Valishia for coming to the defense of her friend and doing that. I’m proud of you, Valishia. So is Dmitry from “Dancing with the Stars”. Anyway, along the lines of what Valishia is saying, I think the fact that we never heard one word come out of Corrie’s mouth last night speaks volumes. Corrie finished 5th. It’s not like she got booed the first night. Had definitely stuff worth talking about considering the whole virgin angle, yet, we don’t hear anything from her last night. Why? Because she is a Rozlyn supporter. Corrie didn’t play along with the “attack Rozlyn” storyline last night, therefore, she wasn’t shown. The show had an agenda to paint Rozlyn last night as the woman who did everything wrong, so the only women you heard speak from the panel, were the ones that were willing to sling mud at her. Corrie wasn’t, so she wasn’t shown.

As I pointed out in the last few columns, four girls did post show interviews where they admitted to never seeing anything going on between the producer and Rozlyn (Ashley E., Michelle, Ella, and Corrie), yet at the WTA, now all the sudden they’re all chirping? A little suspicious if you ask me. Ok, a lot suspicious. I mentioned in Thursday’s column. Never in the history of all the “Tell All” episodes have they had one person sequestered from the rest of the group like Rozlyn was, brought out without having heard anything going on backstage, taken off stage after her segment was up, and not allowed to attend any after parties. Rozlyn was brought in for her segment by a freakin’ security guard escort. Huh? Is she a murderer now? They treated her last night like she was on death row about to be put down by lethal injection. If someone could please answer me why Rozlyn wasn’t allowed to mingle with all the other girls before, during, or after the show, and why she was sequestered from everyone else, then maybe, just maybe, you can convince me it wasn’t staged. But since no one will address that, I will. It’s because every other girl was in their green room before the show started being told by producers what to bring up on stage. Hook them up to a lie detector test, all of em’, and I guarantee they’ll admit the truth. But it’ll never happen, so, I guess we’re stuck with what was shown. Just like the Wes situation, people will believe what they choose to believe. I’m here to tell you what really happened.

As mentioned during the Wes edit last season (which they built at least 3 or 4 episodes around, the fact they claim he had a girlfriend and even told Jake about it), for two seasons in a row now, the two BIGGEST scandals in the history of the show, yet, they never had any audio or video footage of either. You’d think somewhere, somehow, someway, they’d have something. Especially considering how they promoted the hell out of both scandals. We got four specific examples of Rozlyn’s behavior last night from girls: Ella with the “ass” story, Jessie saying she saw them kissing, Christina talking about cuddling “24/7″ with hands on thighs, and other girls saying they all witnessed inappropriate behavior. No footage of ANY of this? Really? Nope, they just say, “Oh my God, look what happened! But ummmm, well, we have no proof.” Well, except Jake’s word since Wes told him, and these girls made up stories saying they saw it happened. You notice how when Rozlyn asked Chris, “Chris, tell me about this physical relationship, I really want to know more about this since you’ve been so vague”, that’s when Chris turned to the ladies to give their stories? How come Chris never relayed any story that he saw or heard of them together? For a guy who was on the attack with Rozlyn all night long, when pressed on it, he went to the “Well hey, this is what the girls saw”. Not once did Chris give any specific examples of stuff he knew. That’s because he didn’t see or know anything. The guy is barely around the house during filming, so he didn’t see or hear shit. Yet, he’s acting like he knew everything that was going on. Nice try.

Which brings me to my boy Chris. I think it’s about time I call him out. Chris, I am 100% dead serious when I say this: stop the lies. Seriously. Stop the lies. I thought last night he came off as a complete bully with an obvious agenda to attack Rozlyn from the get go, and I’m glad she stayed her ground. I thought she handled herself about as well as she could considering the circumstances. That being, the host of the show, and most everyone woman on stage attacking her. I am sending out an open invitation to Chris right now to come have a man-to-man phone interview with me for the site, and we can address everywhere he think I’m lying, and everywhere I think he’s lying. If I’m as wrong as he thinks I am, then he should have no issue putting me in my place. He should be jumping at the chance to answer everything I throw at him. I’ve got a bazillion questions for him, but this won’t be some sort of ambush. It will be professionally done, but just know, I am going to ask him things people want to know. And I will call him out for things he’s said that I couldn’t disagree with more. He can feel free to do the same. Just so everyone knows I’m serious, I’m sending an email today to three different ABC publicists requesting an interview with Chris. Once Chris declines (which I’m sure he will), or they decide to not even respond to me, I’ll notify everyone so you know where things stand. This needs to happen. I’ve been writing about this show for 17 seasons now and have had questions up the wazoo regarding how real it is. Well lets bring Chris on to talk about it. The guy never has a problem going on other shows talking down to all the critics, so why not come do an interview with the show’s biggest critic? The invitation is there. Ball is in your court, Chris. And any of you readers that would like to bug him on Twitter or his Facebook page about it, be my guest.

Anyway, regarding Facebook, I know a lot of you have requested me as a friend in the last couple weeks but haven’t heard back. There’s a reason for that. I’m almost maxed out right now on the 5,000 friends, and I have about 1,300 more requests I haven’t responded to. I guess I’m going to have to start a fan page soon. Hopefully I’ll get around to it this weekend. Any questions, comments, emails, or suggestions, email me at steve@realitysteve.com. Or you can follow me on Twitter at www.twitter.com/RealitySteve. See you tonight at 12:01am EST for the exclusive on Sunday’s ATFR taping. You don’t want to miss it.

Ok, I will be back later on this week with a few more “Women Tell All” details, in addition to more thoughts on Ali as the next Bachelorette, which is currently the worst kept secret on TV. If you want to join me on Twitter, my address is Twitter.com/RealitySteve. Or if you want to add me on Facebook, scroll down the right hand column under “My Stuff” and click on the appropriate link. See you soon…

What an amateur-hour hatchet job. The only two stories with “inappropriate” specifics have no credibility due to the “witnesses’” previous statements. Plus, no video. Finally, Ella and Chris diverted attention from Roz’s legitimate explanation for not defending herself initially – that the producer helped her make a contract-breaching phone call, getting the “inappropriate” ball rolling.

None of this means ABC’s story is false, but serious doubt is cast on it. It’s too bad that Roz did not handle herself well in the aired version of the interview.

Looking forward to your interview RS. I hope you don’t pat yourself on the back for “predicting” the New Zealand comment. That little gem crashed and burned.

  2. dori Says:

Well, there’s one bet that we could all win – the fact that Chris Harrison would NEVER agree to be interviewed by Reality Steve!
There’s just no way his ‘handlers’ would allow that. He wouldn’t be able to spin out of Steve’s questions.

As for Rozlyn and her interview on WTA episode Feb 22/10; I somewhat agree with CarrytheO in that she did not seem to handle herself well. To me, she didn’t seem to be fully forthcoming with all of her answers.

I understand that most people would have fallen apart much quicker than what Roz did when met with a hostile host and a skeptical crowd. It is very difficult to maintain poise when put on the spot -especially since it revolves around a entertainment scandal that is forefront in the tabloids right nw. So I do have to say that she was poised in terms of broad strokes of the inteview; but it seemed to me that it was almost as if she had more to say to explain herself. She could have possibly clarified her position better – but held back.

Good luck with obtaining that CH interview Steve.

Look forward to hearing your interview with InTouch.

@CarrytheO: what’s the “New Zealand” comment? Did I miss something?

  3. Vivi Says:

Everyone is a liar except Rozlyn Papa … yeah, right! LOL

  4. Phei Says:

YES! Roz interview, and some news tonight about the ATFR, can’t wait. Corrie is the only follower Roz has on Twitter and I did Twit @chrisbharrison letting him know. Thank god we have you Steve!!

  5. DameEdna Says:

Ah Steve, as usual, right on the money. The only reason Rozlyn was a scandal is because Chris and ABC wouldn’t let it go. I’d forgotten her as soon as she left, there were so many more train wrecks going on. I say they should have given Ashley way more booze, but she was gone way too soon.

Anyway, I watched for all of five minutes due to rapidly rising nauseous feelings, but did see Jessie and Ella and their BS stories, as well as Valesha (SP? who cares?) decide that she didn’t believe Rozlyn anymore. Boo. Anyone who thinks Ella should be the next B’ette needs medication.

And good on ya for calling out that pompous ass Chris! What was with the speech?? I hope you’ll be a better person after all this? I would have spit on him!!! What gall!!!

As for Bachelor Pad, good grief. Who needs to see that? Dirty. Put it on a porn channel where it belongs. Then I’ll watch.

  6. Phei Says:

The way I see it is Roz IS a flirt, just listen to the Seacrest interview where she clearly flirted with Ryan Seacrest and apparently Ryan (producer) is too, I’ve known girls like that they think it’s totally normal behavior, the real reason she got booted was because of the phone call she made to her son/card sent by Ryan without having signed the release form. But they made it seem like it was this huge sexual physical realtionship. Chris knows there was no actual sex. It’s the way they’re using her to make the dumb audience (and I mean DUMB look at the people in the audience in WTA and how their jaw dropped at anything that was thrown down their throats). It’s how gullible people are that pisses me off. And I’m willing to bet Chris’s wife did not laugh when she heard that comment, Chris just looks like a scumbag, the type that would kiss people’s ass to get up the ladder. He just has that face to him.
I would love to know what Roz meant by Gia’s Fried Uterus comment and that Massage.

  7. SherryfromD Says:

Steve, why do you think they did not cut out the New Zealand comment like you predicted? I was surprised they left it in. I guess just to make Roz look tacky?

  8. leftyinthepen Says:

The only thing missing from that ambush last night was Mel Gibson and a tomahawk.

  9. dori Says:

oh you were refering to the comment that Chris Harrison was coming onto the producer’s wife in New Zealand

Even if ABC is making up everything ( which I doubt ) the court of public opinion has voted and they don’t believe her. Every time I see her I lose a little bit of faith each time that she isn’t being 100% honest. Is ABC 100% honest, probably not. There just seems to be this back and forth of ABC leading us on to believe she had sex with the guy and Rozlyn saying she didn’t have sex with the guy.

Hopefully in one of these interviews Rozlyn will come clean. She can’t say it was all about her 8 year old son and then continue to give interview after interview. If she was concerned for her son and her personal life she would just vanish. If she would just say ” hey l didn’t cross the line with this guy, but we were/are more than just contestant and producer to each other and yes I am using the whole experience to become “famous” ” i think most people would understand that.

Any PR person will tell you the world never forgets the tiniest lie, but can forgive just about anything if you tell the truth….

    Looking forward to the interview….

Anxious to see if you ask her about the producers girlfriend and if as reported she broke up with him when she heard about the “scandal”.

  13. bachelorwatcher Says:

I do think there was some inappropriate behavior that Roz was having with a producer. I’m not a flirt, so it’s a big stand out when a girl I’m around is being flirtatious with a man. Not being that way, it always looks so tacky and deliberate when a girl is like that. So with Roz being the absolute drop dead gorgeous woman that she is, she’s probably used to flirting and having every single man bow down to her. So I feel that for sure she was flirting with the producer (who she is now keeping a friendship with — aka dating — as she herself said). C’mon. You don’t walk away from a show saying NOTHING happened except a producer helped you make a phone call… but oh yeah by the way, I see him often and we’ve met each others families. That’s crazy talk. That’s not even edited wrong, she did say that in a complete sentence… so that tells you SOMETHING was going on between them on the show. The only thing I could maybe see being lied about, are all the accusations of actually witnessing her doing this and that. There are probably other girls on the show flirting with the crew, but now that the spotlight is on Roz they are slowly remembering things. I don’t think it’s some big red flag that girls said in prior interviews that they couldn’t say a bad thing about her, but once actually in front of her they confess. I would much rather say something to someone’s face than in some interview with vultures prying for something juicy. So ok, even if you want to say these girls are flat out lying… it could just be planting evidence on someone you know is guilty. Yeah it’s wrong, but it doesn’t make the guilty party less guilty because others are making things up. Roz obviously did SOMETHING with that producer. Maybe it wasn’t having sex, maybe it wasn’t even making out, but some kind of actions were exchanged to declare hey this girl likes this guy and she is supposed to be here for Jake not him and oh yeah he works for the show so this is all kind of wrong. Then the show decided to exploit that to death to make blogs like this happen, and people tune in to see the scandal, and stretch some small thing into something big for ratings and chatter. So as much as you Reality Steve, want to sit in a higher thrown for being right about something… the show is the only thing winning here. They are getting everything they want and more just by you trying to fight them for the truth. But that’s not to put down you or your blog. I love it! I’m a film editor, so I love the manipulation of footage and the drama, and a blog like yours pointing it all out.

  14. lemon-lime Says:

Vivi, you just don’t get it.

  15. hordac Says:

I don’t know, I think Steve has a bit of crush himself and by his defending Rozlyn so vociferously, he’s hoping to get a little action too when they meet! LOL!!

In all seriousness, I don’t think that Rozlyn is entirely innocent. There was a situation here that was blown up for sure (pardon the pun). But, this guy was fired, that is no lie. I would imagine that they would have to have given him a BUCKETFUL of money to avoid a wrongful dismissal case…would be interesting to see if he ends up on another show for ABC. He’s married and following Rozlyn around?? C’mon, there is more here than friendship, sorry.

RS, I was expecting you to comment on the surprise you must have felt when those comments about Chris coming on to this “staffer’s wife” were left in. But you didn’t, hmmm…

Truth is usually in the middle folks.

  16. ellie842 Says:

great stuff Steve.. much to comment on
I felt bad for Rozlyn last night, I was hoping she’d come across stronger. (The New Zealand comment made her look tasteless) But she definitely held her own, I can’t believe she stayed seated and composed through out it all. If I was her, I would have gotten up and walked out.
As for Chris Harrison, what an ass, I honestly don’t know how someone like that sleeps at night. I hope he gets what he deserves.
I definitely noticed how no attention was given to Corrie, I thought that was so strange until I read your column.
Jake looked like he was ready to throw up and pass out when Chris asked him if he was happy with his decision. ha ha that’s what you get for picking Vienna.
And what was up with bringing that huge security guard out on stage for the ending..weird
Can’t wait to hear your news on the “ATFR”

  17. Little Yellow Fish Says:

Shame on ABC for the train wreck they aired last night. There is now no doubt that Chris is a patronizing a-hole and I would bet anything that these idiotic women lied (stupid ABC pawns). Their stories were pathetic to say the least.

Rozlyn did an okay job given the situation but I thought she was sometimes too quick to try and defend herself in regards to stuff that made no sense (she seemed to be hiding something but not necessarily what they are accusing her of). I think she should have just refused to comment once in a while. The “better person” part at the end was downright sick and she should have laughed at Chris’s face on that one. Gorgeous girl but not super sharp.

  18. phoenixsmom Says:

Chris was a total prick last night, and I had pretty much zero respect for him before, and I can honestly say there were points throughout his interview (attack), that I wanted to reach through the TV and smack him for being such an ass. Pompous was the perfect word to describe it. Smug bastard also works…

  19. mcreeek Says:

Steve – I have to completely disagree with you regarding Chris Harrison’s behavior last night. I thought he handled himself exceptionally well and was very admirable when interviewing Rozlyn – and here’s why. Rozlyn was all over the place with her excuses trying to prove she didn’t have an inappropriate relationship with the producer. In the beginning Chris tried to tell Rozlyn that he had no hard feelings towards her and even tried to be nice, but it was Rozlyn who turned the whole interview into a nasty he said/she said battle, not Chris. In fact, her last comment to Chris was a low blow and just goes to show how horrible of a person she really is. Are The Bachelor shows/reunions/tell-all’s completely 100% accurate? No. And while I’m sure the accusations and stories the other bachelorettes were telling about Rozlyn and the producer were not completely accurate either, it’s obvious that something did indeed happen between Rozlyn and the Producer. It’s just that she has told everyone that nothing happened for so long now that she’s even convinced herself that nothing actually happened. Instead, she should be thanking The Bachelor show for even giving her the opportunity to meet this producer – without the show, they would never have met.

  20. CWJ Says:

The WTA was such a bore and waste of time. Your column makes it bearable to watch. I’ll be back at 12:01 AM [Eastern time]. Can hardly wait !! Thanks for your input, Steve.

  21. dori Says:

    @bachelorwatcher
Can you help me write my next University paper?
You wrote about 500 words there! I’m just impressed because I’m suposed to be writing a paper and find it tough to get motivated when it’s a topic I am not motivated about.
    ;)

It’s interesting how so many people can watch the very same thing yet get such completely different views as to how they interpreted the ’scene’. Great sociology study!

I just notice @mcreeek has such an opposing view of CH’s barrage of nastiness. I don’t see Rozlyn being overly-nasty to anyone or badmouthing anyone but Chris sure had a big enough spoon to stir up some trouble!

  22. watching101 Says:

If nothing happened between Rozlyn and this producer, wouldn’t ABC have a huge wrongful-firing lawsuit on their hands? Some how I don’t think ABC would walk right into that one.

  23. jakeisboring Says:

Steve, Jessie did not contradict herself in the two stories she told last night at all. The first time she said she was sick and went inside and saw them kissing on the stairs. She said the same thing the second time except for leaving out the part that she was sick. I don’t see that as a contradiction at all. Rozlyn’s body language was very much not the look of someone telling the truth. Do I completely believe the story ABC is putting out there? No. Do I believe Rozlyn. Not AT ALL. I think the real truth is somewhere in the middle. I definitely belive Rozlyn had some behaviors that were inappropriate with the producer, I also believe it has probably happened before other seasons, and that she was not kicked off for that reason, but because ABC probably needed some drama to make the show interesting, and she was the fall guy. She was easy pickens because really she isn’t believable at all.

  24. wookie Says:

If everything is false, why is there no legal action from the producer? He lost his job and is undergoing major defamation of character… he should have a slander case in the bag if everything being said is complete BS.

  25. wookie Says:

If everything being said is true, why is the producer not filing a lawsuit? He lost his job and is being defamed in the media. He’d have a slander case in the bag if everything Rozlyn claims is a lie really is a lie….

  26. tcm2010 Says:

    @wookie

And if it’s all false why hasn’t the producer stepped up to say so?

  27. ashley m Says:

IF the producer is filing a law suit, I would think he couldn’t talk about it and maybe that is why Roz is not being as forthcoming as she could be in order to help him out.

  28. tcm2010 Says:

FYI CH did an interview with EOnline today and said he would never answer any other Rozlyn questions… Also thought this was very telling and probably a lot closer to what is really going on.

    From US Weekly today.

“I don’t think there was a sexual relationship,” Valishia goes on. “I think there was an inappropriate relationship; I think the producer told her information he shouldn’t have and they became friends.”

  29. bigpoppaevil Says:

There’s no lawsuit or wrongful dismissal case being mounted because the former producer admitted in interviews he got involved with Rozlyn.

Here’s a question I want Steve to answer: how much is this you REALLY wanting the truth and how much is it you just looking for a payout of your own? You’ve freely admitted you’d like Mike Fleiss to buy your silence, and now you’ve gone and ’sold’ an exclusive to US Weekly…

  30. bigpoppaevil Says:

And while I wonder about how much you got from the rag, did you offer up any of it to your trusted ’source’? ‘Cuz if that was me giving you info and you went and sold it to a tabloid without offering me a piece of it? I’d cut off your ’sources’ right then and there.

  31. IrishCdnDebs Says:

Hey Steve… have you tried getting an interview with the producer? I’m glad I found this site as I am so gullible even though I still don’t like Ali. She’s trying to paint herself in a good light as she’s to be the next Bachelorette.

I thought Gia came off better than expected last night. Michelle… I’m sorry. To me Jake doesn’t seem very happy. He seems almost beat down by this experience.

Can’t wait for your next post and the interview! Enjoy reading the comments too!

  32. jawbreaker Says:

Whether Rozlyn was guilty or not….she was still ambushed.

Is the producer who was fired still a married man?

  33. Da Babe Says:

I thought Roz did ok, especially since it seems like there is nothing backing up the allegations except he said, she said. She made a point – there’s video and audio all over the place and no one has produced any evidence. No straight answers from Chris – what a shock! So if she and the producer are closer friends now – who cares? She left and he got booted. I really think they made this crap up to deflect attention off the lameness of Jake and the boring girls. Speaking of the castoffs – I loved all the faces they were making when Roz was on the hotseat. And what the heck is an inappropriate relationship? Talk about vague. Because you put your hand on someone’s thigh? Some of those outtakes showed alot of the girls touching each other and acting kinda suggestive – is that appropriate? Puhlease.

And don’t get me started about the audience – they looked like they were just beamed in from Pluto. Duh.

I can see why Jake is single – he needs a strong woman to carry him. I thought when he first came out he mouthed something to Ali maybe? Did anyone catch that?

Carry on Steve! I look forward to your commentary.

  34. EvitaPeron Says:

Roz is a beautiful woman but a total lier. She deserved everything she got. The producer and his dad went to her house after all of this?? Have you see his photo. she is totally out of his league. He sort of looks like the fat guy in “hangover”. Anyways, good luck to them all..they will need it.

  35. arealeyeopener Says:

Steve, does your neck hurt from fellating yourself so much?

It’s very obvious and even a bit disturbing how obsessed you are with Rozlyn. You’re not getting any, so just leave it alone. You accuse ABC of creating and fabricating stories; well, you are doing the same thing with Rozlyn, trying to defend her “innocence.” The reason why you have to ramble on and on about it is because it’s not an easy task to do–she’s clearly guilty, and anyone who doesn’t see that needs to open their eyes and quit being such a mindless follower.

While beautiful, Rozlyn is trashy and rude. Maybe you guys would hit it off, after all.

  36. jawbreaker Says:

If the Producer and Ali had something going…why not a short clp of them…the girls did say they went and tattled..so why did they not get ashort clip to prove she was lying?

  37. jawbreaker Says:

    I meant Roz…not Ali.

  38. longing Says:

Yes the women lied……………..but not about Rozalyn. THAT they told the truth about.

There is no doubt in my mind that she stepped over the line. She did not react like an innocent person…..she acted like her back was up because she got her hand caught in the proverbial cookie jar.

The women lied when they told Chris that they liked Vienna.

Reality Steve – you may have insider infomation regarding the outcome of each episode…..but you sir are not a woman.

There are several codes that all women live by:

#1. “You piss me off, you are NEVER my friend”.

#2. “A womans first impression is ALWAYS right”

    # 3. “Once a skank, always a skank”.

Obviously, the women last night were given financial incentives or threatened with lawsuits unless they pal’d up to the Queen of all Skanks. Vienna has lied, whined, cheated on her first husband and stolen his money. ABC is trying to make her look better in the public’s eyes………since (as you say) she is the ultimate winner.

    Winner of what?

    Well not much.

She wins the guy who has lost the self respect of an entire nation by his ridiculous comments and choices. The guy who let her interrupt other woman’s one on one discussions. On SO many occasions.

For a guy who thinks of himself as so “nice” – Jake did your mother not teach you that it is extremly rude to interrupt 2 people in a conversation? He should have sent Vienna out of the room and ragged her out for being such a social moron. And he should have sent her home.

Sorry Jake – but if you do choose Vienna – you will be the laughingstock of America……….and quite frankly after your actions this season, you will deserve our distain.

Oh yea – and you will deserve Vienna…..beause that is the bst you will ever do after embarrasingyourself on national television. No wonder you never had a date in high school.

  39. Phei Says:

Ryan Callahan and his wife separated before this whole incident. Back in january or february 2009.

  40. Phei Says:

@longing Jake had a highschool sweetheart and is a serial dater, had many relationships as well. He’s not the Jake people think he is. You should take a look fly_girl’s posts on FORT.

  41. PennyLane126 Says:

    Hey Steve,

Love your column. Just so you know, a lot of us have started hounding Chris’ Facebook fan page to do the interview with you. Of course he will probably not acknowledge us, but in my post to him (I had to become of “fan” of his – eww – to post) I not only told him to do the interview, but also to acknowledge everyone who is going to be hounding him to do it. I will update you if he acknowledges us.

Also, good job getting mentioned, what, like three times in this week’s Us and can’t wait to read the news tonight!

  42. ILoveRS Says:

Thank God this WTA wasn’t as fluffy as they usually are. I usually keep my finger on the fast-forward button.
I was surprisingly impressed that they didn’t COMPLETELY butcher the Rozlyn interview.
Although, I’m sure they did butcher it some. I was quite proud of the fact that she got a few good “hits” in. Some tacky, yes, but good hits. I enjoyed watching Chris get a little nervous. My favorite part was when he said, “We are trying to make a TV show” or something along those lines. Had I been Rozlyn, I would have taken that and ran with it- saying, “No joke- that’s why you have manipulated this cast of woman and still cannot provide me with one piece of evidence of my ‘inappropriate realtionship’” I think she made an EXCELLENT point about the cameras that have absolutely no footage of this “affair”.
And what was up with ALI suddenly playing the “Now that I’m the Bachelorette, I should probably apologize for being such a nasty, mean girl” card? She is all about the “Make America Love Me” strategy right now. I guess she figures that she needs to make nice so people will watch her show. I don’t trust her. Period.

  43. tcm2010 Says:

    @PennyLane126

FYI Chris told E! today in an interview that it was last interview he would do mentioning Rozlyn.

  44. Caroll Says:

In an article about body language showing you are lying, besides discussing Roz, the following comments were made about Chris and the New Zealand comment:

“And what’s Chris Harrison trying to hide? When Roz bit back at Chris, claiming he hit on her producer friend’s wife in New Zealand, Chris got a little cagey.

“Chris broke eye contact, looked down and appeared to struggle with making direct eye contact with Rozlyn again. Chris can clearly be seen swallowing — a clear sign of anxiety and nervousness when read in context. My hunch is that there is probably more to the New Zealand story than Harrison would like to discuss,” Harris explains.”

    Interesting!

  45. mtnmchgrl Says:

I actually LIKE Chris Harrison BUT last night his body language was awkard. And was he sunburned or was he BEET red on his neck/down? I am not sure what I think about the Roz interview……I thought she did well but I’m not 100% sure I still believe her. I do think something happened but NOT to the extent that ABC is making it seem. Shame on all those girls for LYING. And I saw some definite ass kissing from a few that want to be the next Bachelorette :)

  46. abi54 Says:

I didn’t believe a single word of what Jessie said last night, plus ” i swear on my dogs life” lol like W.T.F? also didn’t Jessie said “Michelle is not a consecutive person”, really?? she said she only saw Rozlyn sleeping on the couch and thought it was weird, she stayed with her version of the story didn’t see anything didn’t attack Rozlyn, but Jessie the stable one proved that the one that is not a consecutive person is her not Michelle. so Jessie equals liar and bipolar. Jessie is definitely desperate for attention

  47. ILoveRS Says:

BTW, Steve: I completely died of laughter when I read under “Questions, Questions, Questions” the following: ” What the hell was Channy doing on the panel last night?” And yes, Tenley “dropping out of a Disney movie, and dreaming in cartoons” was HILARIOUS!

  48. EvitaPeron Says:

I love RealitySteve and love his blogs, but he is def biased. Just because Steve says it doesnt make it truth. Roz is a big fat lier. .If I looked like her I would do it doggie style with TV people Ryan the producer is a fat pumpkin head and when Roz wakes up, she will kick him to the curb.

  49. bunny2 Says:

Chris was not a “wuss” last nite, he was a “RUS”, Rodent of Unusual Size! What a bully and hypocrite he was….I wanted to call him and say “hello Pot, this is Ketel!” Dork…
And, I cannot buy any of Jake’s words anymore, to Gia, My heart was crying?????? Wow! If anyone is buying his load of crap, I have some great Ponzi bonds for you…..

  50. ppurple Says:

I agree with you about Rozlyn but they have video/audio evidence of Wes admitting he had a girlfriend so I’m not sure why you still stand by him.

  51. ellie842 Says:

anyone heard of the new rumor that Jake is gay??

    thoughts…

  52. lemon-lime Says:

To all the people who accuse RS of being infatuated with Roz:would you say RS was infatuated with Wes when RS defended him? Could it be that RS just doesn’t like it when someone is being accused of something they haven’t done (through hear\say no less!)? Do you people really believe a man can only defend a woman he lusts after? Think rationally!

  53. jessica1 Says:

Yikes – first, Steve, take the time to watch CH’s interview on Joy Behar’s talkshow. I caught it off CNN.com today and well, let’s just say, he thinks all you guy bloggers have the hots for him.

I have to call you out on something Steve — you write well, you have good inside contacts and you’re hilarious in observation of the absurd. But you are a guy! And you can’t be entirely in a woman’s mind when you make certain statements. You can’t say that Jessie lied because she said in one statement that “she was sick and went inside the house” and then later said “we were by the pool and I went inside the house”.

Woman do that frequently — we use location descriptions to remind each other as to the “where and when” of something happening. It’s shorthand. She was directing her comment to Roz at that point and was telling her the “where and when” of the time when she saw Roz apparently being inappropriate.

Which brings us to inappropriate. Chris Harrison you little slag, spineless, contract-toeing creep! What a stunt, to taunt Roz and then when she asked him DIRECTLY, what have I done, he throws it to the women to fill in the blanks.

He was only completeing the process of what Steve mentioned previously….THE SHOW LET THE WOMEN DO THE DIRTY WORK. And we probably only saw 1/3 of what Chris said or did.

Which by the way — when you ask a woman, especially a woman as Roz has presented herself, “did you have sex”, she’ll say no. A gal like Roz, who by her own words has modeled for years, was first-up to pose with Jake on that group photo date. A model knows how far to lift her leg before her ho-ha is visible. And Roz let it fly!! And I don’t for a second believe she was panty-less. They blurred it because they can’t have those images out there, with WWTDD trying to see if you can make out her privates.

So — we’ve got Roz, who has a pretty free sense of sexual expression. Do you think she defines rubbing a leg as a sexual inpropriety? Or cuddling? Or talking to a producer male as inappropriate? Or spending the night in another room as scandalous? Or better yet, posing on a couch in highly suggestive fashion as HAVING SEX?!! No. And neither do I. Inappropriate and weird, especially given the circumstances. But sex?

Why is no one asking “hey, what all the women, except Jessie, described is FLIRTATION not sex but yet why do they keep hammering at Roz, (no pun intended), to defend herself against having sex?”

I’m sure beyond a doubt that Roz lies about the extent of her actions but I don’t believe the show has portrayed her (or themselves) truthfully either. As for the Producer, any images of cuddling or audio of inpropriety will NEVER show up on youtube — ABC would be sued senseless. The contracts hold strong sway over peoples mouths for a long time – certainly thru the WTA show. That Producer has a better contract protecting him than any of the woman.

Just think, when was the last time you heard the Survivor winner revealed before the finale? Never. Because the mouthy contestant would be sued beyond belief. It’s called Contracts. And you could see it on everyones face last night. It was edited beyond belief. The Bach chose this storyline and they can’t recant it now — it would blow their credibility with that stupid woman in the audience who kept acting like she was actually in Chris’s seat, interviewing the women.

And Ali — Steve, you are too generous. She said what she had to, to clear the way for her to be 1. not abused by the press when it’s “her turn” and 2. to make nicey before the public.

I have to get off this soap box, no idea why I got so hot-headed about this ridiculousness! Gimme a glass of Pinot Noir!! =)

  54. JoannO5090 Says:

I really enjoy reading RS articles but I have to disagree with “Roslyn” being miss innocent. I pegged her the minute I saw her face hit the screen. I said to my husband there is something about that girl that I don’t trust and when they talked about one of the girls entering in an inappropriate relationship, I called it. I knew it was Roslyn. I was all ears and wanted to believe this girl was innocent because I do believe the show does fabricate so much of what goes on BUT I have to say, Roslyn just didn’t convince me. She had no concrete explanations on the specific accusations and she quite frankly, didn’t seem angry enough to me, other than her quick jabs at Chris, that told me she was being wrongly accused. Sorry, I just didn’t buy it. I will say, I don’t believe that Roslyn was on all fours on the couch, that I don’t believe, but I do believe she did have this relationship which she admits to this day is continuing so sorry Roslyn honey, you are GUILTY! I would have more respect for her if she said something like, “yeah, I did have this relationship and (producer man) had more of what I was looking for in a man and we had instant chemistry” and I don’t regret getting involved with (producer man). I agree with Gia’s comments she said last night I agree with her 100%. Just admit you had and still have a relationship with (producer man) and move on girl.

  55. fifi Says:

Ok- I have never replied or commented before, but watching WTA I felt like I was being set up for next season. Ali was cleasing her “mean girl” appearance over Vienna, the girls were fulfilling their contracts and bashing when told, and Jake said he was happy…… Is their any chance that not only is Ali the next Bachelorette, but that Jake will show up as a potential choice for her? Maybe not from the beginning, but say with 5 or so guys left? Perhaps I was reading to much into the unrequited love story they were playing ie: “most emotional night” , but I just got this feeling that this season is not over.

  56. lemon-lime Says:

Maybe the big announcement RS has is that Jake comes clean that he’s gay at the FRC!
It would explain why Jake doesn’t seem comfortable & natural around women.

  57. trod Says:

You Rock and I would pay to hear that interview between you and Chris!! But, we all know that he or ABC would never consent to that interview. Hey ABC–if you are scared, say your scared!!

I was so put out at the way they played the Roz scandal out and for the women for falling for it. They must have been paid something.

And, Ali… she did a complete 180 only b/c she knew she was the next Victim for ABC. She had to play nice gal in order to win back viewers.

RS-it is your time to spill the beans and let it all out. F-ABC who cares—they don’t.

Chris Harrison should go back to what he knows best….decorating.

  58. trod Says:

    @jessica1
Why are you hear? Go away… shu fly

  59. trod Says:

    @tcm2010

Because he knows he will be called out on it. I lost respect for him long ago

  60. ironicbarbie Says:

Thank you, thank you, thank you Steve for staying true to yourself and to your followers season after season! Although I have enjoyed the humor of your column for many years it’s only in the past few seasons (from Deanna’s through this current one) that I have grown to have a great deal of respect for you as a person. I have had enough inside knowledge of the goings on relating to this show (through friends who have been contestants, and other friends who have known contestants)that I have been in a position to know that you are always doing your level best to tell the truth and keep people informed about what is REALLY going on with this very UNreal show. I can also vouch for the fact that you more often than not know way more than you ever print, and you do so because aside from all the sophomoric snark you love to spew (and your fans love to read) you are a good person who has an actual sense of right and wrong, and you take the time to think about that before you run your mouth. The more columns you write the more clear your integrity becomes, and the more Chris Harrison talks the more I wonder how he sleeps at night; people who can’t see that that’s the case need to take a closer look at both of you. Again, thank you, for using your judgment, for keeping an open mind, and for taking the time to write these long-winded columns that are often laugh out loud funny; there are plenty of people out here reading who appreciate you for all you do. Cheers!

  61. soblunt Says:

All I have to say is has anyone really looked at the pictures of this producer, Ryan? I mean I really would find it hard to believe that Rozlyn would touch him with a ten foot pole..

  62. ashley m Says:

I agree with you soblunt. There is no way in hell that girl gave up her stuff to him. He is gross.

  63. fairygirl Says:

    @soblunt

    @ashley m

Yup, I was going to say the same thing. I am amused at all the women on here chewing Steve out for his lack of a second X chromosome, when all any woman would have to do is take one look at Ryan and one look at Roz to see that she didn’t “boink” the guy. Seriously ladies…go take a look.

  64. fairygirl Says:

I was also going to say that that is the real reason you aren’t going to see any pictures of get out and why they aren’t telling us the name of the producer on the show. They know if the masses saw a picture of this guy, women wouldn’t believe them on a mass scale, because very few women are daft enough to believe that a woman as gorgeous as Roz would have sex with a man as unattractive as Ryan. Looks like he was skinnier in his younger years and being less offensive then, was able to secure a very pretty wife. But in his current state, I think not.

  65. Phei Says:

    fairygirl :@soblunt

Yup, I was going to say the same thing. I am amused at all the women on here chewing Steve out for his lack of a second X chromosome, when all any woman would have to do is take one look at Ryan and one look at Roz to see that she didn’t ā€œboinkā€ the guy. Seriously ladies…go take a look.

Looks arent important when you can get something out of the guy, he is an ABC producer with possible connections, hell Ive seen way worst than Ryan get tons of ladies simply because they own a video store lol.. just saying.

  66. fairygirl Says:

    @Phei
Yes, but why would it continue…he isn’t a producer at ABC anymore. If they have the ability to blackball him, as so many industries like hollywood have, he won’t be a producer anywhere, anytime soon. From what I’ve read of the matter (not that it has really been of great journalistic quality) he doesn’t have any money, and through this whole “scandal” has probably lost most of his connections. Why in the heck would she continue a relationship with him. I just don’t buy it.

  67. jillh426 Says:

    Hey Steve,

Chris Harrison was on Joy Behar’s show on HLN tonight. I just caught on to this show and it’s pretty funny/sarcastic. She mentioned your blog/website and all the leaks, and Chris responded that he has suspicions of what ABC employee might be leaking info to you. And he even admitted that the leaks have been great for ratings! You should really ask for some sort of residual from ABC.

Not sure what to believe about the Rozlyn stuff really. I think they are all lying to a certain extent and noone is completely right or wrong. I sometimes can’t believe I watch this show! This has got to be the most stupid reality show on TV right now.

  68. deee Says:

In Touch Weekly, really? That makes you oh, so credible. Yawn.

  69. meeshmeesh Says:

Steve, Help me out… Jake said last night to Ali, “I know about what kind of job you have. I have the same type of job…” What was he talking about? How is his job as a limo driver, I mean pilot, the same type of job as an advertising account manager?

  70. SherryfromD Says:

@Phei – what did fly_girl’s posts on FORT say about Jake?

Ali is way too condescending/holier than thou. It’s annoying.

  71. Flash1007 Says:

Everyone who has agreed to be on this show in the last few years knows the drill…there will be cameras and open mics, contestants with various agendas, alliances made and confidences broken, meltdowns, thrilling dates, boring down-time. Don’t forget that the contestants are all screened and they know this is an entertainment show. As in “real” life, nothing is as it seems…that is why we watch it. The exposure, good or bad, is why most of the contestants agree to participate. They all know when they go into this that there are risks and I don’t think any wide-eyed innocents make the cut. None of them are dragged kicking and screaming into this experience. It is all voluntary.

That being said, I know many of them end up surprised and hurt. I bet most of them say, “It wasn’t what I expected.” But you can’t predict the dynamics when 25 random strangers get together and that makes for good TV. Frankly, I don’t think the producers have to manipulate this stuff…it just happens. Rozlyn self-destructed….pure and simple. Had she been on another reality show…well, she still probably would have been kicked off but the producer would have kept his job. How can you blame the production staff, including Chris Harrison, from taking advantage of a contestant’s bone-head move? In the corporate world, taking advantage of this “scandal” would be applauded.

There is no reality…it is all perception.

  72. Wes Supporter Says:

meeehmeesh – i caught that remark too. That was one of those things which made me go “hmmmm…”

I guess the job title would be “actor for the Bachelor franchise.”

By the way, did anyone notice CH laughing when the women were attacking Roz?

  73. RainyNiteNTx Says:

I actually was on the fence about the whole Rozlyn thing until I saw her on WTA. She came across as tacky and classless IMO. On the other hand I thought Chris Harrison showed great restraint with her cheap comments. You can tell when someone hits you with a truth you don’t want to deal with because most times people will start scrambling, and she did.

  74. JustJenna Says:

    @bigpoppaevil

Yes well, not everybody is an opportunistic asshat.

  75. Twinkie Says:

I just have to get my two cents in here…I watched WTA on Monday night and Roz is not believable. She is a very attractive woman & flirtatious by all accounts…why is it so hard to believe that she would have an “inappropriate relationship” with a producer? I don’t care what the guy looks like…SHE admitted that he has been to visit her since this happened. If she was just flirting with him/using him to get what she needed at the time (use of his personal cellphone or whatever other bending of the rules during filming) I can’t see them getting together in her hometown in the aftermath. I can see him wanting to get together with her and her being like, “no thanks, dude. Don’t u get I was just using you? Take a hike.” But, per her admission they have seen each other since this all went down. As for the women who told stories of what they saw & heard…they WERE BELIEVABLE. As far as their post interviews not mentioning all the incriminating Roz statements…makes perfect sense to me. They were specifically told NOT TO DISCUSS the Roz incident because the producers WANTED TO SAVE that scintillating material for the WTA episode. ???? Reality Steve, I really do like your column & find it very entertaining…but, you are failing to “see the forest through the trees” here. When contestants do these post-show interviews before the episodes have all aired there ARE RULES about what they can say/not say…so, we’re supposed to believe that because those women didn’t mention anything about Roz during those interviews it was because they saw/heard nothing & just made it all up for the WTA episode per the producers requests. No way. One last point…IF this producer had been a recent hire, I would definitely be suspicious of a potential set-up here. By all accounts, this is not the case. The guy had worked on the show for a long time. If all this stuff was “made up” by the producers for ratings he would most definitely have legal recourse – and would seek it. He probably walked away with some sort of severance package contingent on keeping quiet. There was most definitely “inappropriate contact” between this producer & a contestant – doesn’t mean sexual – and it caused him to be fired & her to get booted off the show. Period.

  76. RaRa Says:

I think Ali had no choice but to soften her attitude toward Vienna, in a very public way. I’m sure she is perfectly aware of the shift from positive to negative public opinion after she behaved the way she did in that episode when Vienna tried to apologize and make peace with her. I’m sure the producers have advised her that it is in her best interest (and theirs) if she wants to have a successful season as The Bachelorette, to take a proactive approach in putting the “Queen of B!tch Mountain” persona to rest. So I think Ali’s recent “high road” is likely scripted, or at least strategically planned.

  77. babyfat101 Says:

    @soblunt

    @ashley m

    @fairygirl

I suspect that to a woman who wants “something”, and is used to using her looks to get it, that what the man looks like doesn’t matter to her. To her, it’s just manipulation.

    ****

Who does RS have a Jones for more…Roz or Tenley?

  78. analyzer74 Says:

I think that reality steve is so blinded by his dislike of The Bachelor that he will always defend anyone or anything that “discredits” the show. I am not saying I like/dislike The Bachelor and I’m not saying I like/dislike Rozlyn. I am simply saying Steve has got a serious chip on his shoulder where this show is concerned (perhaps rightfully so) and that it seems obvious to me that he would potentially defend the anti-christ if it somehow made the The Bachelor show look bad. So, if I were you all, I’d remember that as I read on.

  79. Neeley1123 Says:

Steve, I’ve been reading your bachelor columns since you began. I used to love to read them because they were hilarious and irreverent. But now, it seems you are hell-bent on criticizing the show/producers/network. Look, we all know it’s a reality show, and is in no way true love (most of the time). But it’s just entertainment, so you need to calmn down a little with this vendetta. You also need to realize that people on this show DO THINGS WRONG! 1) Wes said some truly assinine things (and there was no gun to his head) and 2) Rozelyn is no angel – she DID have an in appropriate relationship with the producer. They didn’t accuse her of SEX, just inappropriate behavior, which she had. Advice from a longtime Reality Steve Fan: You need to put aside your your personal hard-on for this show and go back to being entertaining and funny, it suits you better!

  80. RaRa Says:

    @SherryfromD

They had no choice but to air the “New Zealand” comment. It had already leaked out so the cat was out of the bag. If they had omitted it, it would have stirred up a lot more buzz by both the media and the public. Instead, they decided to go with the “I’m not even going to dignify that with a response” response.

  81. Twinkie Says:

    Neeley1123 – I’m 100% with you. Well said.

  82. ashley m Says:

babyfat101, obviously they are still friends or whatever because he and his dad stopped by her house and she probably used him to gain information but sex, no way.

  83. RaRa Says:

    @tcm2010

Good post. I agree — there was probably some heavy flirting going on — that appears to be part of her personality. Who knows how far on the “messin’ around” spectrum they went — they may or may not have even crossed the “Clinton” line: (“If it’s oral, it ain’t immoral.”) Regardless, I did feel that there was a LITTLE more to the story than she was willing to reveal. I’m surprised we haven’t seen any interviews from the “producer”. I wonder if the show paid him off in exchange for silence.

  84. Bubbles Says:

@watching10, you said, “f nothing happened between Rozlyn and this producer, wouldn’t ABC have a huge wrongful-firing lawsuit on their hands? Some how I don’t think ABC would walk right into that one.” You can bet that ABC paid off the fired producer to NOT sue—that is pretty much SOP in a high profile situation. Big corporations due it all the time to keep their names out of the press with “was sued for” in the headline.

  85. DCOKC Says:

So Reality Steve says the women were lying about Roz because of their post Bachelor interviews. Not good enough. First of all, the girls were interviewed individually back then. Perhaps they did notice oddities about Roz but didn’t think them to be too odd based on their own individual accounts. Maybe they didn’t want to be the one and only to blab about what they really saw and thought it best to keep quiet. Yet, when the girls were all put together for the Women Tell all and started talking, they discovered that what they did witness with Roz and the producer was actually flirtatious actions – inappropriate actions. After all, the premise of the show was for the women to vie for one man’s attention – Jake’s attention. The women knew there would be 24 other women to “compete” against. If Rozlyn couldn’t keep her eyes on the one prize, she should not have signed up to do the show. As we have discovered, she’s flirtatious and isn’t ready to settle down with any one man. She must have been on the show to get her 15 minutes of fame. Well, she got it (but not in a good way). Ha. So Reality Steve, don’t be so quick to accuse the other women of lying at the WTA. The truth hurts, doesn’t it?

  86. jeffsaysno Says:

Chris looks like he has a face that would smell of ass.

I feel horrible for Rozlyn. Her career is probably ruined; I’m not so sure bridal magazines would want to be associated with infidelity, fake or not.

    I completely agree.

  88. jeffsaysno Says:

so, I’m a little confused about Ella. She says she would never lie to make Rozlyn look bad because she’s a mother…. but she’d tell the truth to make Rozlyn look bad, regardless?

  89. nobody2010 Says:

Rozlyn is the biggest slud and lier I have ever known. Wake up realityasteve!!!!!!
All the girls are liers except Rozlyn, are you trying to tell us that realitysteve? yeah, I am sure she will sleep with you after all the good work you did for her by trying to paint a wonderful portrait of her here. Flies go where there is rotten meat. The producer smelled the slud in Rozlyn and went for it.

She tried to use her kid issue which she failed. Even her best friend Valishia opened up and lost trust in Rozlyn, I was laughing reading yours words still trying to protect Rozlyn, yeah, maybe you can get some yum yum ……

Interviewing her ……… hmm, I guess you can only get loosers like her to come and do interview with you, cause you just simply cannot get the good people on ……

I seriously think you took the wrong side this time!

  90. nobody2010 Says:

    @cubbieblue Kristin

I completely agree with you as well.

    I agree!

nobody, you are truly a nobody. Did you even read his column? His work might be biased, but his evidence is not.

  93. babyfat101 Says:

@Neeley1123 – i’m another one that agrees with you. been watching since the football guy or firestone season, can’t remember. i keep reading, wanting/hoping for that irreverent funny guy to show up, but instead i keep getting the guy who wants to be wes’ buddy, and who organizes vegas trips.

  94. summer Says:

Wow..reality truly is more interesting than reality shows! The key word in this controversy is “inappropriate” behavior. This may not necessarily mean sexual. I agree that there is a definite cover-up of some truths we would all like to know about Roz and this Callahan guy. By the way, how does one find his picture? What show would have information leaked to Roz that was so damaging and serious that they would have to let her go and ridicule her? Then use it to exploit her to create another evil character? Sounds like a reality show to me!I agree that Roz did not come across to me as a woman who was desperately horney or lonely. She does seem to be the type who needs to be “seen” and known, no matter what the consequences are. I thought she appeared strong and confident.

  95. dyrochka Says:

The Bachelor needed another villain. (Look how successful Wes’s storyline was) Roz never liked/cared for Jake but wanted the exposure. (She is stunning but smthng in her eyes is cold and calculating.) She never bothered to obtain a release from her ex-husband, as she knew she will not be on the show for long. I believe this was/is a well played ā€œscandalā€ and all parties were well compensated whether financially or air time or both (including Roz). The stories about who saw what and where and Roz’s ā€œI am innocentā€ bit – fluff. People are still talking and magazines are selling. Simple. Well done Mr. Fleiss!
Chris H. – stop raiding Flava Flave’s time piece collection!!!
RS – love the column but surprised you bought Ali’s ā€œI am sorryā€. Predictable and (for me) fell short of believable.

OK, so… There is no proof in either direction, this whole thing is he said/she said, right? But here’s what we have- Producer is fired, then goes on to admit there was a sexual relationship with Rozlyn. AND gets separated from his wife because of it. Sounds like he loses a lot. Jessie saw them making out. Several others saw them cuddling. So ALL these people are lying? What in the world do ANY of them have to gain from telling such fabrications? Rozlyn on the other hand has motivation to lie- to (try to) save face. Yet she’s the one you believe, Steve? I still haven’t read one good reason to believe her over everyone else associated with the show. I think someone has a thing for her, hmmm?

Producer was fired for sending a card to Roz’s son, Producer separated from his wife 9 months PRIOR to even meeting Rozlyn, Producer admits (still have not heard ANYTHING from his mouth yet only Chris’s) that he had a relationship with Roz in order to get his severance package.

Yes, I did my research and his wife’s twitter prooves it.

  99. MindyM Says:

I agree with others here who have said that the truth lies somewhere in between. I do think that Rozlyn is a young woman who is willing to use her looks to get what she wants from men. She obviously realized fairly early on that this producer was infatuated with her. Maybe she thought that this could be used to her advantage. She probably thinks that flirting and fooling around isn’t that big a deal. Also, I would think the producer would know where all the cameras are and when they are on. That may well be the reason why there is no film footage of anything going on between them.

When they escorted Rozlyn to the stage with this beefy bodyguard, it presented a powerful visual to the viewing audience. They had this guy with her to make sure that she didn’t have any contact with the other women and couldn’t hear what was being said on stage. It certainly made her look like some kind of criminal. She was basically walking into a trap. Once Chris got her on the record denying any inappropriate behavior of any kind, that’s all they needed. I don’t know that Rozlyn could have done anything else. If she answered his direct question ambiguously, then the viewing audience would conclude that she had something to hide.

I thought Rozlyn’s best moment was when she asked Chris Harrison directly for specific instances of misconduct. Then all Chris had to do was wave his hand like an orchestra conductor and call on each of the women to give their pre-planned accusations. Rozlyn really had no chance. She might have responded differently to the women, kind of saying that she understood that they were just doing what they were told and she felt sorry for them. That would have been better than the stammering and defensive words she blurted out. But it was a total no-win situation. I thought Rozlyn’s worst moment was when she brought up that nonsense about Chris supposedly flirting with this producer’s wife in New Zealand. First, it had precisely nothing to do with the issue at hand. Second, it made Rozlyn look petty, mean-spirited and vindictive. That’s why they aired it. I am surprised that anyone would think that they wouldn’t air it. It only served to make Rozlyn look even worse than she already did.

As far as the other women, I thought Valishia was the most interesting to watch. You can tell a lot from someone’s demeanor. She clearly was feeling a great deal of stress and didn’t seem comfortable going after Rozlyn. She even told Rozlyn that she knew that she liked her. Then she blurted out this bizarre story of being sick and Rozlyn not being in their room that night. So what’s the big deal with that? Also, if you are sick, then why would you get out of bed to go looking for your roommate? All she said was that she couldn’t find Rozlyn. Not particularly damning, if you ask me. I am not surprised to learn that she apologized to Rozlyn afterwards. As far as Terry, well, I feel that she her statements do line up. A slight correction doesn’t mean that she was lying. Ella’s detailed description of the four legged position Rozlyn was in seemed to be meant to inflame the viewing audience. Was she saying that Rozlyn was in that position with the producer guy underneath her? I don’t get it. Who cares if she had her chest down and her butt up in the air with her panties on. Oooh! Shocking!

All I can say is, if that’s the best ABC can do when it comes to firsthand evidence, then they are in big trouble. I don’t think Rozlyn was intimate with this guy, but I do think there was some hanky-panky going on between them. Whether it rises to the level of a scandal and warranted all this attention, I have no idea. It could well be that the women were told to either exaggerate what they saw or told to flat out lie. At this point, I don’t think I even care. But I don’t think Rozlyn is an innocent as she would like all of us to believe.

  100. Really Says:

I’m sorry if someone already said this or asked this…but let me tell you there are so many comments here, I just couldn’t finish reading them. I would just like to say that I do not believe Rozlyn. I also do not feel the same as you RS about Chris H. This is his job…sure he is probably picking up a hefty truckload of cash to continue on in this charade…so do I blame him? Nope. Would I or could I? Nope. But, I believed the girls attacks more than I believed Rozlyns responses and facial expressions to them. Really? I mean I’m sure there are a huge percentage of woman out there, that if there were attacked and lies were spat right out in front of them like that, would break down. Sorry. She was not in anyway believable. Well except for the part about making a phone call to her son from the “never named” producer. That was about the most believable thing that came out of her mouth. And her attack at Chris about the “never named” producers wife…again I say “Really?” Any respectable honest woman would not air his dirty laundry out like that, truth or lie. I commend him for his response, whether he was lying or not. If she wants us to believe her…maybe she should try and put her big girl pants on.

That show was a far cry from reality…though it fit the bill for entertainment…fake or real. It makes me laugh to see how many people believe any of this…I thank you RS for making us see the truth. Although I have to say that for the first time this season I have to disagree with you…Sorry, but Rozlyn is lying. Maybe just by not telling the whole truth, but in reality, omitting the truth is still lying. She’s hiding something…I would live to know what.

Oh yeah. The “never named” producer came to visit her WITH his father!?! And she didn’t have ANY type of “inappropriate relationship” with him at all! C’mon Rozlyn! Give me a break!! You probably nuzzled his neck, gave him a hard on, now he follows you around everywhere like some love struck schmuck and you are loving every disgusting minute of it.
