If you don’t want to be spoiled about anything upcoming in Ashleys season of the “Bachelorette”, I suggest you stop reading now. Or for a list of the guys confirmed for Ashleys season to date, click on the “Ashleys Guys” link above. I will be confirming contestants for the show along with talking about things I’ve heard since filming began. You’ve been warned.
In case you haven’t seen the first promo that ran last night during DWTS, here it is:
So I didn’t plan on getting into stuff that I knew about some of the episodes for week or so, but since ABC decided to do something they haven’t done in the previous 21 seasons, and that’s release the names, photos, and bios THREE weeks before the first episode airs, I guess now would be a good time. I mean, I’ve already given you 19 of the 25 men, I guess I can kinda see why they decided to release everything this early. No point in waiting anymore to give you the other 6 guys. However, by them releasing it this early, now all the questions I’ve had have been answered, and it solidified how I know the orders of eliminations occur. By next week, I should have all the seasons spoilers, episode-by-episode, ready to go. So in case you haven’t seen the link to all the guys photos and bios, here it is:
So the 6 guys I didn’t have were: Ryan M., Chris M., Jeff (first name only), Matt (first name only), J.P., and Tim (first name only).
However, I did find out that Matt’s last name is Colombo. He is the brother of Dallas Cowboy offensive lineman, Marc Colombo. Man, sucks to be Matt. Not only did he not last long on this show, his brother is about to lose his starting job considering the Cowboys just drafted a right tackle with their first round pick last Thursday. Ouch.
What ABC also did yesterday was send out the Season Premiere press release that essentially tells you the places they visited, some of the dates she went on, and what guys did to impress on the first night. They always send this press release out every season. Just never this early. It’s just funny how they’re getting earlier and earlier at releasing stuff about their season, even as I continue to get stuff earlier and earlier than I ever have. Coincidence? I think not. It’s become a fun game at this point though. I hope they’re enjoying it half as much as I am. Anyway, in regards to the press release mentioned above, I was gonna fill you in on all the guys they were hinting at in it, until today, they updated it with a new press release, that filled in the guys names for you. Huh? Since when do they do that? Oh that’s right, since I’ve been sticking my boot in their ass. So let me just reference a few things they’re referring to in the updated press release.
-“Immediately, the drama begins: Chris Harrison is surprised to find out that Ashley already knows about one of the men — Bentley — before meeting him…a former ‘Bachelor’ cast member tipped her that he might be there for the wrong reasons. When he steps out of the limo, all bets are off. She starts off being cynical, but is blown away by how attractive and charming Bentley is.” An early favorite, but lets just say Bentley strictly went on the show to promote himself. He wasn’t there for Ashley in the least bit. As for a former “Bachelor” cast member who warned Ashley beforehand? Well lets see, Bentley lives in Salt Lake City, Utah. Who is the outspoken, most talked about female from Brad’s season who lives in Salt Lake? Exactly. So it’s not that hard to figure out who warned Ashley about Bentley sometime before the show. How this is brought up on the show, or why it’s even brought up on the show, I have no idea. Ashley didn’t “know” Bentley before filming in the sense that she’d met him before, they’re just saying she knew OF him because “a former Bachelor cast member warned her”. It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out.
I’m guessing Bentley is going to be the main focus of the first few episodes since Ashley has this info that he’s not here for the right reasons, yet, he’s one of her favorites. Ahhhhhh, decisions, decisions. However, Bentley makes it easy for her as he is the one who voluntarily leaves the show on his own in the 3rd episode, which is the same episode he kisses Ashley for the first time. My guess is in the promo where we see Ashley crying saying “I never knew that I would come in here and so soon be heartbroken”, she’s talking about Bentley eliminating himself. And I would not be the least bit surprised if Bentley is this seasons Ed in the fact that he comes back on the show at some point. Nothing confirmed, but I don’t put it past him or the show.
-“Meanwhile Jeff, the mysterious masked bachelor, attempts to draw all of Ashley’s attention, but manages to irritate the other men at the same time.” – So they run the first promo of the season last night showing this masked guy, then the next day they just tell you who it is? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. And yes, he leaves it on the whole first night into the rose ceremony. Basically, he’s this seasons male version of Madison and her fangs. I swear, this is the same exact show every season, just with different cast members.
-“Tensions mount and sparks fly as the bachelors vie for the first impression rose, but Tim is so nervous, he begins to drink to cover his stress, forcing Ashley to make her first major decision.” – Does it spoil his chances? I’d say so. Tim doesn’t even make it to the first rose ceremony. He passes out before it even starts and Ashley has him removed from the show. Congratulations Tim, you are officially the biggest drunk in the history of this show. If you can’t even make it to the first rose ceremony, it’s safe to say you might have a drinking problem.
-“However, she decides to award the first impression rose to a charming bachelor who took a risk during the evening” – This goes to Ryan Park. So knowing that Ryan got the first impression rose, it’s safe to say he’s around a while, no doubt. How long? I’ll tell you when I release the episode-by-episode spoilers.
So basically, that’s pretty much all your first night spoilers, mostly courtesy of ABC. They’ve started spoiling their own show. What’s next? Do you show us the three guys in the overnight dates next promo? What a silly little operation they’re running over there. I’m glad I could be of service and fill you in on the things they left out.
