-And just like the people from past seasons that do whatever they can to keep their name out there and in the loop, what happened on stage last night was no different. Our first cat fight was between Blakley and Samantha, and then turned in to Brittney vs Samantha. Honestly, I didn’t care about any of it. I don’t take anything these girls say seriously on the WTA because I know it’s what they’re told to do, I know they’re all drunk, and it’s just to stir the pot and make the show more interesting. Plus, nothing between Samantha and Blakeley or Samantha and Brittney was anything that wasn’t already shown in promos they aired all last week. Brittney called Samantha a Chihuahua, Blakeley said something about being older and more mature or something along those lines. Great. Wasn’t really all that bad. Samantha talks a lot. Samantha is loud. Great. We knew that already. Have you followed her Twitter or FB Fan page over the last two weeks? Did you expect anything different come the show? I sure didn’t. Hell, I actually thought they were gonna give her MORE air time the way she was f-bombing people and talking about Blakeley’s t**s hanging out. I was somewhat amused by all of it.
-Shawntel being on stage pretty much summed up everything that this show is about – drinking. Every one of those girls in the house who had a bunch of nasty stuff to say about her that night, whether it was in ITM’s or a group setting, were all hammered. Obviously four months after the fact, I’m guessing they’re not bothered by Shawntel appearing on the show, most of them apologized for how they behaved, and both parties moved on. Will Shawntel be BFF’s with any of those girls? Probably not. But I bet you some of them reach out to her on Twitter or FB to just privately apologize, say no hard feelings, and that’s that. The “Tell All” shows are about closure for the audience way more so than for the contestants. Things are absolutely said in the heat of the moment on this show by a combination of two things: heavy drinking and producer manipulation. And then once the show is over, or hell even by the next morning probably, people regret it and realize, “Eh, it’s gonna be a while before anyone sees this anyway. No need to lose sleep over this now. I’ll deal with it when the time comes.” I mean, how many of us in life can ever say, “Well, I didn’t really like what I said about that person today, but no one will know about it for two months, so I won’t think about it til then.”
-Shawntel isn’t ugly. And certainly there are girls this season who had bigger thighs than her. I don’t even think that’s the issue of her appearance and how it affected the show. The producers brought her on for the exact reason that it played out – drama. If Shawntel didn’t think she was going to be received well, then she must have her head buried in the sand when it comes to this show. She’s been through the process once before. She knows what producers do to get you to say certain things on camera. Did she truly honestly think she was gonna come on there and the women WOULDN’T do what they did? Were the women rude? Yes. Did they say ridiculous things that amped up the drama? Abso-freakin-lutely. But last time I checked, no one held a gun to Shawntel’s head and forced her to do the show. She knew exactly what she’d be walking into the minute she agreed to come on, and whether it was worse than she thought it would be isn’t the issue. Everyone’s at fault – Shawntel for agreeing to do it, the girls for over exaggerating their opinions on her, and the producers for allowing it to go on. But none of us involved – the contestants, the viewers, nor the production team – should be the least bit surprised at how it all played out. So to act like, “Oh Shawntel, we’re sorry you had to endure this” is complete B.S. They don’t care about Shawntel’s feelings any more than they care about anyone else’s feelings on this show. Explain to me how this makes any sense: The producers are the ones who get the girls to nasty things about Shawntel in their ITM, yet, on the other hand, are convincing Shawntel to come on the show hoping to win Ben over? Recipe for disaster just like you saw.
-Honestly watching Emily, Nicki, and Kacie go up in the hot seat, I didn’t really care. Nothing they said up there changed anything as far as I was concerned. All three girls have moved on, I’m sure all three of them aren’t really sad about something that happened back in October, and all three of them basically said what you’d expect them to say. Emily wasn’t happy the way Ben responded to her bringing up Courtney (which we already knew), Kacie said in her exit interview that it wouldn’t have worked out between her and Ben probably in the long run and pretty much reiterated that last night, and Nicki was sad re-watching what happened back at the beginning of November, but certainly has moved on now. None of those women took questions really from the other girls, none of the women really said anything hateful or spiteful towards Ben, and basically it was just a recap session to bring up the people that audience wanted to hear from so they could get their closure. Nothing more, nothing less. All three women handled themselves fine, didn’t light the stage on fire, got maybe 5 minutes tops of airtime in the seat, and on they went to the next girl. Same thing they do every single season.
Oh, and for all you peeps (well, maybe 3 of you only) telling people to leave, guess what? We like the drama and you play right into it. haha Thanks for the free entertainment.
Thanks for posting this!
And thank goodness you post facts, and I like how you tell it how it is.
