Some of you may have seen this, but apparently the local ABC affiliate in Houston was able to grab Brad Womack for an interview to talk about his restaurant “Dogwood” opening in Houston, and of course get his thoughts on Emily as the “Bachelorette.” Here’s the video footage from the interview:
Obviously, it was quite interesting when he said he felt he “dodged a bullet with that relationship.” I don’t know why Brad said this, or what his motivation was behind this considering this guy hasn’t said a word publicly since the break up. And in listening to the interview, it didn’t even sound like he said it maliciously, but more matter-of-factly. Very bizarre. I guess you’d have to ask him to clarify what he meant by that because I certainly didn’t understand exactly what he was getting at. Kinda came out of left field.
Emily had her conference call with the media yesterday and basically said nothing. You can read part of the transcript here. Looks like they’ll have the remaining portion of the interview up later today, but honestly, Emily isn’t gonna give anything up in that thing. Not a chance. She’ll say what she’s told and rehearsed to say, and that’s that. Also remember that there’s a handler on the conference call with her and any question they don’t seem suitable, or any time my name is brought up, the handler steps in and immediately cuts off the question. Then I’m sure that reporter is chastised, taken into a dungeon, and flogged mercilessly with a whip. Ok, maybe an exaggeration, but trust me, they don’t let anyone even mention my name on those conference calls without getting cut off. I find that utterly hilarious and I take it as a compliment. So thank you Cathy Rehl. I appreciate it.
As for any updated spoilers, there aren’t many. Kalon is obviously the villain this season, he is the one Emily tells to “Get the f*** out” in the previews, and that’s basically because Kalon makes it known that Ricki is baggage and he couldn’t love her like his own child. Yeah, I’m guessing that would set Emily off. Nice screening process, ABC. You might want to have already known that before casting the guy on the show. Oh wait, you don’t care because he gave you good TV. My bad. We’re still only a week removed from the end of filming. Give me some time, and I will be able to get you some details behind what went down at the end of the show.
