The Bachelorette Recap Including Bachelor Pad 3 Info, Alessandro’s Language Trouble & His Vampire Fetish

May 27th, 2012 | 64 Comments | Posted in Bachelor Pad 3, The Bachelorette 8 - Emily

If you missed my tweet yesterday, I’ll repeat myself: Tomorrow I will be posting your episode-by-episode spoilers up to the final three guys. So hopefully that will hold a lot of you over until I find out with 100% certainty what happened from the overnight dates on. Well, besides the fact that Emily didn’t spend the night with any of her final three guys, which I reported a couple weeks ago. A lot of rumors/speculations/theories floating around out there about what happens at the end of this season. A lot. Once I feel comfortable with the correct information, I will relay it to everyone. Definitely quite a few pieces to this puzzle this season, and I think we’re in for an interesting ending based on what I’m hearing. But come tomorrow, you’ll have your breakdown of HOW we get to that point. As I mentioned, a lot of it was spoiled while filming was happening, but now you’ll have it all in one place. If you ever get lost, once the column goes up tomorrow, go to “Spoilers” at the top, then “The Bachelorette,” then “Bachelorette Emily Spoilers.” Simple if you ask me. Of course, I know it won’t be for those computer challenged. It’s ok. I blame your parents.

-Some news to give you on “Bachelor Pad.” Filming begins next week. Contestants are supposed to arrive next Monday, June 4th. Filming is expected to begin Wednesday or Thursday, the 6th or 7th. I’ve also been told it will film in LA (not sure if they’re using the same mansion or not), but that filming will take a bit longer than it has the last two seasons, when it’s only taken about 17 to 18 days to film. As WetPaint reported, it’s looking like filming will take close to a month, which is what I’ve been told as well.

Now, here is a tentative list of people you might be seeing on the show. I’ve separated it into two groups, those that you can “Pretty Much Confirmed,” and those that are still “Rumored.” Some in the rumored list might very well be all set to be on the show, but as far as I know, it’s only rumored at this point and I didn’t have solid enough info to put them on the “Pretty Much Confirmed” list. Here’s what I’ve been able to gather thus far:

“Pretty Much Confirmed”:

Blakeley Shea
Jaclyn Swartz
Jenna Burke
Nick Peterson
Ryan Bowers
Kalon McMahon

“Rumored”:

Ed Swiderski
Reid Rosenthal
Lisa Morrissey
Ames Brown
Erica Rose
Ryan Park
Craig Robinson
Lindzi Cox
Rozlyn Papa (it wouldn’t be a “Bachelor Pad” season if Rozlyn wasn’t rumored considering they’ve wanted her on for the first two seasons and she’s turned them down. Three is a charm. We’ll see).
Michael Stagliano

Now, obviously there are other names out there but I haven’t heard yet. There will be people not listed here who end up on the show, no doubt. But I think this is a pretty solid list from everything I’ve gathered. I know a lot of you are gonna want to ask, “Well, what about so and so?” I’m just telling you, these are the names that I’m hearing right now and I know nothing else. I’m very confident you will see those first 6 names on the show. And I’d say you can expect to see probably half of those other names on the “Rumored” list. I know you’ll also probably want to ask “Michael Stagliano? He won it last season.” Yes, he did. For whatever reason, his name is in the mix again.

As for the “newbies,” there’s still no confirmation of how many ABC plans on casting, but I honestly don’t think it’ll be that many. Nor do we know how that’s going to work at all. Let things play out, and we’ll see what happens. I’ve spoiled every episode and elimination from the first two seasons of “Bachelor Pad” before it aired, and I suspect I’ll do the same this season. I think by next week we’ll have a little more confirmation as to who’s on the show. Kinda hard to keep that one a secret since all of these people have Facebook and Twitter accounts. I’m trying to find out information on who some of the “newbies” are as we speak. I think I know of a couple already, but waiting to get it confirmed.

With my birthday being this Thursday, there will be a “Reader Emails” and “Dr. Reality Steve” column, plus whatever else news is going on, but I don’t think I’m going to have a live video blog that night. So any questions that you have, be sure to send them in to me in the next couple days at steve@realitysteve.com.

  1. Liz123, all valid points and I don’t disagree with any of them. I am on the fence about Emily. She just seems to come across as fake to me. I don’t know her personally so it’s just how I perceive her to be on camera. I hope this season gets better and it sure will be interesting to see how she goes from Arie to Jef. (if the spoilers are true)

  2. So is Jenna going to go on Bachelor Pad AGAIN to prove once and for all that she’s not crazy?

  3. I live in western Canada and we get it on CityTV. NO, nothing was mentioned in the edit about the miscarriage when Arie was talking about the girlfriend.
Dianne and fan of Steve: The point about the miscarriage is that it is a private matter. NOT to be discussed on a blog. Especially when it wasn’t in the edit of the show, what gives Steve the right to delve so deeply into peoples private lives that never even signed up for the show in the first place? The lady that had the miscarriage isn’t on the show, so why broadcast her private life? Now as far as the part goes where you say we’d be sitting here wondering why Steve didn’t tell us? Me personally, I would of given Steve some credit for not exposing that kind of thing as it is truely something that is private until the people that are directly involved say something about it. Since that didn’t get aired to the majority of people-if it was aired to any at all, then what right does Steve have to expose it? IMO, common sense. You don’t go out of your way to purposely hurt people like that – rude and totally uncalled for!

  4. Been reading awhile, never commented before but must now that I know you’re my birthday twin. Happy Birthday, enjoy!

  5. Hi, Dianne, my fellow Canadian (I’m in Burlington).

Thanks for confirming what I saw/heard on the OMNI1 broadcast [*not* CityTV, Candy6] about the miscarriage. I recall it clearly because I remember being shocked that he would make such a disclosure, with no regard for how it might affect his ex.

And, Candy6, since Arie – who, by the way, was “directly involved” – was the one who put that information in the public domain, if you’re going to be pissed off at someone for disclosing such a painful incident, then that someone should be Arie, not Reality Steve.

  6. I noticed that too and on other shows as well, It seems in Canada, they don’t censor as much as they do on the US channel. I didn’t think mentioning the miscarriage was such a big deal. It’s a sad thing and it actually happens more often than people think I don’t know why it’s so taboo. I’ve had one and my mom’s had one in between me and my sis. Until I heard it was quite common, I thought I was completely abnormal or something.

  7. I wouldn’t be surprised either if Emily doesn’t pick anyone in the end. I’m starting to think she is pretty hard to please and the guys just may not be measuring up to her standards.

Geez, now I feel bad about Alessandro. In the scene at the end he clearly uses the word “compromise” again and if you substitute commitment, it makes a lot more sense. So I think he actually was using the word completely wrong. Hope Emily knows that now. She was so pissed when she thought he was insulting her daughter.

  8. @Liz123, your choice of words: “huh”, you want to “enlighten” me, typing in all caps, screaming at me, using double exclamation marks, “sorry to burst my little bubble”, “should educate myself”, and accusing me of saying “dumb shit”…wow talk about someone saying dumb shit, you seem to have a little anger problem, judging someone on a comment board slamming them in such condescending manner about a comment I typed about freedom of speech, a little hypocrite are you?
I choose to not have you enlighten me, thanks though. And I am fully aware of the freedom of speech meaning, thanks again though for your concern that I should educate myself, and trust me, you didn’t burst anything, especially any bubble you think I am in. It’s your opinion that what I typed about freedom of speech is dumb shit, so be it, if you only knew my opinion of you…
    Chill out!

  9. @ therawtruth – Competely agree w\ you!!! Someone saying something like “It’s my freedom of speech” is so child like!!! My friend’s 6 year old kid says that to her when she doesn’t like what he says!!! Find a new catch phrase people!

  10. Hey, bring it down a notch folks – it’s Thursday, almost the weekend. Let’s all go back to Love, Peace and Understanding, or whatever the song is.

  11. @therawtruth, I wasn’t judging you. I was saying you are misinformed about what freedom of speech means. The 1st amendment does not give you the right to say anything you want anywhere you want. There’s a difference between judging someone & informing them that they are incorrect. I don’t really expect you to get that, though.

I don’t have an anger problem & don’t have anything against you personally. Maybe I was slightly condescending toward you, but it is just very disheartening to see how many Americans are either uneducated or misinformed in regards to their own Constitution; yet use it to defend every silly thing they wish to do & say about others. If that’s what you think (which from your own words in your 1st post it obviously is what you think) then you are incorrect about the meaning of freedom of speech as described in the US Constitution’s 1st Amendment. Period. There is no debate in that, ma’am. It is what it is.

And I could not possibly care less what you think of me. I’m sure the same is true of how you feel about me. That is perfectly fine. You can hate me all you want. I just hope this post made you at the very least Google “the first amendment wiki” and do a little reading. :)

  12. @JovisMom, you’re confused. You actually agree with me if you hate it & think it’s childlike when someone says “It’s my right to freedom of speech”. @therawtruth was the one who said that about freedom of speech, not me! So glad we finally agree on something, @JovisMom! :) ))

  13. fan of steve, Arie didn’t put it in the public domain, Reality Steve did. The majority of viewers, minus a few that watched it on a different station, were not informed of it by the producers, but by RS, which is none of his business and completely wrong for him to do.

Can I ask you, was there anything else different in that episode that a select few saw on omni versus city or abc? If so, please do tell!

RS has no right to delve into people’s lives that much. I do find the necessity to research the minor things out but for gawds sake, the lives of others that are involved with the participant on the show are not there for RS to exploit. The guy has got to get that straight, he goes way overboard to “inform” than he should, there are lines and he crosses them frequently.

  14. gingerbear; City tv is a Canadian station and they didn’t talk about the miscarriage either, so don’t think it is a sensor thing, just wondering why only one station appears to have the authority to have a different edit than the other stations, that is what is puzzling.

With regards to why the miscarriage is taboo, it is up to the people involved(mom and dad of the unborn child) to spill to everyone, including tabloids. It is something that is hard to understand till you go through it personally, but it should be respected all the same.
