Quite a few things to get to today. A lot of news and notes regarding Sean’s season, including a few teases of what to expect before the episode-by-episode spoilers get posted in the next couple weeks. Also, have a “Reality Roundup,” “Reader Emails,” and “Dr. Reality Steve.” I would think now through the end of the calendar year, there will only be one column a week since the ending is already out there. Not much to write about or speculate on, but I will give you some teases here and there before I release the episode-by-episode spoilers.
I wanted to add four more names to the Ashley & JP wedding guest list from Monday’s column, two women and two men. All those that I mentioned on Monday will be there for Saturday’s event in Pasadena, and now you can add Roberto and Craig Robinson for the guys, and Jillian Harris and Jackie Gordon for the women. I had heard a rumor about Roberto going but didn’t know for sure, but he’s definitely attending. That’ll be interesting considering Ali will be there as well. No idea if either of them are bringing dates. As for reports that Brad and Ben will be there? Not true. Don’t know where people come up with this stuff but common sense would tell you that Brad and Ben would not show up. For what?
Is there something in the water in Seattle when it comes to the “Bachelor?” Look at the last three seasons: Brad dumped Chantal at the altar, she’s from the Seattle area. Ben dumped Lindzi at the altar, she’s from the Seattle area. And this season, Sean is engaged to Catherine, who’s also from the Seattle area. So whoever next season’s “Bachelor” is, once we get the hometowns of all 25 women, I guess we should just pencil whoever is from Seattle into the final 2, right? Kinda crazy how that’s worked out like that 3 seasons in a row.
As I mentioned Monday, Sean will be in attendance at Ashley & JP’s wedding, but will be a busy man after that as the next day he will be in Las Vegas running in the Zappos.com Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon & 1/2 benefitting the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America. He’s gonna be running with and in support of his good friend affected by the disease. You can follow them on Twitter, or check out their their website for information on the event. I believe Jason and Molly have done this event in the past as well as others from the “Bachelor/ette” franchise. I’m guessing Molly will probably be skipping out this year’s with a bun in the oven. Just a hunch.
As for some info on Sean’s season, here’s something that I think you’ll find interesting. As mentioned a while back, Diana Willardson (Jef Holm’s hair stylist) is a single mom who went on the show, but she didn’t last long. However, there is another divorcee who did last quite long. AshLee Frazier was actually married when she was 17 or 18 years old for a year and a half to an Andy Barbarow, who currently owns Academic Pest Control in Houston, Texas. So yeah, I’m not sure if this even gets brought up on the show or plays any role in why Sean didn’t end up picking AshLee in the end, but I thought it was noteworthy. Granted, she was married 15 years ago and it was quite brief, but, something tells me this probably will get mentioned on the show. I gotta imagine she didn’t get all the way to the final three without mentioning the fact she married some dude when she was either still in high school or fresh out of high school. Kind of a big deal if you ask me. Just wanted to give you a heads up.
As for some other tidbits about the show that I can tease until the episode-by-episode spoilers are posted:
-The girl who gets sent to the emergency room on one of the group dates also doesn’t receive a rose at that week’s rose ceremony. Ouch. Some compassion there, Sean.
-The girl in the promo video pulling the tie out of her cleavage is Ashley P. and drunkenly follows Sean around all night with her “50 Shades of Grey” routine wanting to tie him up. Must’ve worked wonders considering she doesn’t get a rose.
-I mistakenly had the 2-on-1 date happening in episode 4, the last episode filmed in LA. The 2-on-1 date doesn’t happen until after they leave LA.
-Someone late in the season has an emotional meltdown and leaves before the rose ceremony.
-The person on the first date of the season who rapels down the WaterMarke Tower building in LA is NOT one of Sean’s final four girls.
You’ll have your answers to these, plus a many more within the next couple weeks.
