Man a lot has happened in the last 48 hours regarding this franchise. So much to get to and a lot of “Reader Emails” to boot. No “Dr. Reality Steve” today since I only had two emails. I’ll add those next week so get whatever questions in you have for me. The Dr. is fresh and ready to go. Tonight is the return of the live video chat. I didn’t realize it’s been almost 18 months since I last did one. There are reasons behind that, but we’re back tonight at 9:00PM EST/6:00PM PST. Just come back to the site tonight, sign in, ask questions and it’ll be a rollicking jolly old time. Unfortunately, those who were viewers in the past will not get to see my one wine bottle behind me, since I don’t live in that apartment anymore. I moved into a house in August and it’s basically the greatest thing ever. See you tonight at 9pm EST/6pm PST.
And when you do tune in tonight, I promise you the live video chat will look nothing like what the hell Juan Pablo did last Friday night. Holy crap. Did you see this? I mean, I can’t even begin to describe what a disaster this was. Here, watch for yourself:
Let me give you a little help here Juanny P. If you’re gonna take questions in Spanish, that’s fine. But how about translating what the Spanish questions were over in English so, oh I don’t know, the 95% of English speaking people that probably tuned in to that thing could understand what you were saying. Also, now I know how Kylie and Lacy felt on night one with this guy mumbling so much. You might wanna speak up. Now, I’m not saying I’m the greatest video chatter in the world, because I’m most certainly not, however, I do know that scrolling through your twitter feed, not having any filter system on the questions and comments coming in, and just basically trying to read, screen, and answer questions at the same time is basically the most awful live chat I’ve ever seen. But hey, other than that, you were great. Keep it coming. How no one at the show has pulled this guy aside and told him how disastrous his social media skills are is beyond me. He does stuff like this and all it does is show how little substance there is to him. I don’t get it.
The press release for episode 2 is out, along with photos from all the dates. You can see Clare’s 1-on-1, Kat’s 1-on-1, group date photos from the doggy photo shoot. Man, some of these girls got the shaft on that photo shoot. What the hell is Kelly dressed as? Poor girl. She looks like a mutated human version of Dr. Evil’s dog.
Shocked at how many of the night one eliminatees are speaking out to the media. I’m guessing that’s gonna be put to an end any minute now, especially when both Kylie and Lauren pretty much trashed the show. I mean, good for them in that they’re only telling the truth about what really goes on behind the scenes and now you’re hearing it first hand from people who experienced it, but, that’s exactly what they’re not allowed to say. In case you missed it, Kylie spoke to TMZ about her time, and even went on radio station B96 in Chicago to add even more insight. Lauren jumped in the fray by calling out the show for making her look like an idiot when she spoke to E! Online. Great stuff. I love hearing this, but, I’m pretty sure they will be told to shut up any minute now, if they haven’t already.
Even our “50 Shades of Grey” girl Ashley from Sean’s season jumped on the bandwago. She trashed the show for her experience last year along with spilling some behind the scenes stuff when she spoke to a Chicago radio station on Tuesday morning giving her thoughts on the premiere. Why do you think they have these contestants on such a tight leash every season? Because they know what they show on screen isn’t a real representation of what actually happened, or how it happened, but they don’t want people to know.
Two deleted scenes are up on ABC.com from night one. We get a better introduction to Molly the dog in this first one. Awesome. Molly and Maddie need to have a play date:
Remember when I first gave you the spoilers about night one and I told you Victoria was HAMMERED on the first night (not to mention next episode when she’s on a bathroom floor crying)? Well, here’s your proof:
Remember, there’s an episode this Sunday called “Bachelor: Behind the Scenes.” Here’s the Jan. 12th episode description:
Things get started with a bang on board the “Bachelor Bus” where Harrison and Galavis surprise fans of Bachelor Nation by crashing fun-filled “Bachelor” viewing parties and get the surprise of their lives when the men show up on their doorsteps. And then, viewers will get an emotionally charged behind-the-scenes look at the day after the first rose ceremony where 9 women were eliminated from contention, must pack up their things and head back home. Now, each woman must deal with the reality of rejection. It is a raw, never-before-seen inside look at what happens after the Bachelor has handed out all of the roses, but before he begins going on spectacular dates with the women he has chosen.
Later, for the first time ever, viewers will also get to see extended footage of the 18 women as they move into the iconic mansion. Cameras follow the bachelorettes as they unpack and explore their lavish new home and get to know their competition. Soon, the countdown to the first date with Juan Pablo begins, something Juan Pablo has been planning with producers for months to ensure a magical event!
A talented team of producers and crew turn a hot dusty California field into a magical, snowy winter wonderland for Juan Pablo’s first date! How do they do it? And in a first ever behind the scenes look, we’re going to show you how we turn a simple idea for a date into a magical romantic fantasy come true. Before going out on the date, Juan Pablo takes his adorable daughter Camila to this first date location where workers are putting finishing touches on this winter wonderland with snow blowers and blocks of ice. Camila takes a spin on the private ice-skating rink with her dad and is thrilled to see snow for the very first time.
We also get a more in-depth look at a few of the amazing women that received a rose the first night and will be dating our Bachelor. Find out why these lovely ladies believe Juan Pablo is the perfect man to possibly spend a lifetime with. As a very special bonus, viewers will get a sneak peek at the second episode of the Bachelor, which airs the following day on MONDAY, JANUARY 13, and also the rest of the exciting season of “The Bachelor.”
Interesting we’ll be seeing footage of the 9 women who got booted. They’ve never shown that before, nor have they shown the women who did get roses moving into the mansion. Maybe it’ll be remotely interesting.
Looks like I wasn’t the only media outlet that was put off by the Gia tribute on last Sunday night’s show. Jezebel.com gave their thoughts and I couldn’t agree with them more.
And oh yeah, Emily Maynard is engaged to some dude named Tyler Johnson. You know what they say, the fourth time’s a charm.
