“Reader Emails,” “Dr. Reality Steve,” & Live Video Chat Tonight at 9:00pm EST/6:00pm PST

Headed back to CA for probably one of the more important days of the year. No, not Olivia and Nicholas starting school on Monday. That happens every year. No, not the meetups with my friends in Manhattan Beach for dinner at Mama D’s and seeing “Expendables 3,” which has become a summer tradition. No, it’s time. It’s time for me to defend my title. My fantasy football title. “Team Bauer” (did you expect any other team name?) will be aiming for back-to-back titles in the Couch Commando football league. I’ll be honest, my preparation has kinda sucked this year. I’m not one of the those guys who will tell you on a weekly basis what my players are doing. No one cares. I’ll just comment if I’m either doing really well, or really crappy. I mean, we all read the same stuff online and all have the same stats to look at, so not much is a surprise come draft night on Monday. I would just like to repeat and take home the cash prize, which is a tad bigger this season. I know who I want, but it doesn’t mean I’ll get them. In a 14 team, PPR league with $100 auction for 7 rounds/snake draft for final 7 rounds, you really have no idea who you’ll end up with. And if my team gets injured like my fantasy baseball team did this year, you’re basically helpless.

So did you see where Courtney is going to be voicing her own audio for her book that was released in June? Geez. I can’t even read a chapter of her masturbating to Dawson’s Creek episodes without giggling non stop. How the hell is she gonna read that without bursting out in laughter? Anyway, Courtney appeared on a podcast the other day, and was very vocal about her time on the show, the book, and other musings within the “Bachelor” franchise. So if you don’t want to spend the 3.5 to 4 hours it takes to read her book, give this interview a listen. Very candid.

Speaking of interviews, Chris Bukowski went on the “Elliot in the Morning” show the other day after Monday’s episode aired and spoke about his “Bachelor in Paradise” experience. He was actually very candid as well to how much fun it wasn’t, his split with Elise, and how he’s perceived. Actually a decent interview. Well, that’s if you can somehow block out one of the most annoying morning DJ’s I’ve ever heard. Holy Lord. Could this guy produce any more loud, fake laughter if he tried? We’ve all heard the morning DJ with the constant over laughing, but this guy takes the cake. He’s basically impossible to listen to, but fight through it if you can.

I think the audio/video problems from last week have been fixed, so join me for tonight’s live video chat at 9:00pm EST/6:00pm PST taking your questions on all things “Bachelor in Paradise.” Olivia and Nicholas I’m sure will be joining me at some point as well. Nicholas hasn’t gotten his hair cut in like 2 months and he looks ridiculous. It will be cut before Monday’s start of school, but he wanted to make sure I saw it in person so enjoy his wild ass hair.

  1. To the woman with the daughter being strung along…..

she needs to stop responding…..he likes keeping women (several I’m sure) on the hook and your daughter needs to stop playing along. I’m sure if she knew how many women he randomly texts at various times, she would feel like a fool.

  2. Steve,
Since you asked about crate training, yes, you should leave Maddie in the crate every time you leave. You might have to work on short periods of time first. It’s about consistency and security for her. It’s not supposed to be a punishment. It’s supposed to be her home, her den. Lots of stuff on line about successful crate training. Good luck! It will help her.

As for the email from a long-time fan questioning whether the contestants can sight see abroad, I don’t remember the answer either. Why bother to publish the question if you’re just going to express your confusion on why they don’t already know? We don’t commit every word to memory. In fact, I’ve forgotten who some of the leads are. ;) To that person: No, generally, the contestants not on dates are holed up in their hotels. There have been exceptions, though. On Emily’s season, some of the guys went to church on Easter. Who knows? Things may have changed some in the last season, too.

  3. Hmmm…my email was included but part of it was missine. Also, he didn’t answer one of my questions properly. I asked about the previews for the upcoming epiosde where they show that AshLee said something terrible and shocking to Graham (everyone was saying stuff to AshLee like “how could you say that to him?”), and Steven answered about something to do with the rose ceremony. I wanted to know what AshLee had said to Graham that was so awful.

  4. @Jessicat, I’d ask him again for his live chat tonight. He often only partially answers my questions, too.

  5. The gal with the flaky dude – neither seems all that into the other. There’s some attraction, admiration, friendship – something on that level. As long as she’s not head over heels, where’s the harm. As long as the guy’s not stalking her in some sick way – no harm. With the internet, these kinds of I’m-bored-who’s-around-to-talk-to relationships are common. If she was ‘being an Elise’ about the guy, THAT would be cause for concern……

  6. Does anyone remember what Erica Rose said to/about Steve that was so awful? I remember reading it but have forgot.

  7. Yes, Erica Rose ratted RS out and got him sued. Lots of integrity with that one. Maybe RS shouldn’t have been doing what he was doing, but Erica Rose literally copied up to him with the purpose being to nail him for MF. Low.

  8. Re: Courtenay reading her own audio book
I enjoy listening to audio books all the time; the worst ones to listen to are when the author reads their own work. Best ones are when actors are hired.
Not hopeful after hearing this, just saying…

  9. I agree. I had a book on tape that Hank Aaron read… His own autobiography. He sounded only slightly annoyed when describing the racism he had to deal with…. Because he was reading the words, and that stirred a little emotion, but I’m sure not the same emotion as when he talks about that stuff at a dinner party.
