Last week really threw a monkey wrench into “Everlasting,” didn’t it? I’ll admit I thought the whole episode (as I’m sure most of you did), that Rachel was going to turn on Quinn. And she did. I also thought (as I’m sure most of you did again), that Gary was gonna reward the show to Rachel. But no, instead he gave it Noah from the Melrose Place reboot! Oh wait, that’s Coleman Wasserman. Whatever. Same guy.
The point being that Rachel’s plan to take control hit a major snag, and now not only does she not have control over the show, but Quinn is eventually going to find out Rachel basically tried to overthrow her. You think sharp tongued Quinn is going to take that lightly? Ummmmm, probably not.
So where do we go from here? Coleman already seems to be siding with Chet’s version of the show, yet, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out (not to mention read any interviews with creator Sarah Gertrude Shapiro), that Coleman and Rachel will eventually start sleeping together. The ripple effect through the show is going to have some fallout. How will Quinn react? Does Jeremy get jealous? We saw Adam from last season calling Rachel in the first episode, so what role is he gonna play in all this? There are a myriad of different directions this thing can go, all of which seem to revolve around causing some major chaos.
In this exclusive clip for tonight’s episode, you can pretty much tell Quinn wants no part of having to answer to anyone else when it comes to her show and decides she might need to start taking matters into her own hands…
At least at this point, Rachel isn’t making googly eyes at Coleman, but it’s coming. If Quinn and Rachel produce the show they want to produce, which has already given them 14 seasons of this show, and Chet’s off doing his thing with “EverBlasting,” exactly what will Coleman and the network decide on? My money is on Quinn and Rachel in the end. There will be a few land mines along the way, but in a season where #MoneyDickPower rules, you can never count them out. Looking forward to tonight.
UnREAL airs tonight on Lifetime at 10/9c.
