Episode 4: (Men asking dates, girls give out roses)
Men (11): Grant, Evan, Nick, Josh, Vinny, Daniel, and Jared. The 4 new guys entering are: Brett Melnick (Andi’s season), Carl King (Andi’s season), Ryan Beckett (Kaitlyn’s season), and Wells Adams (JoJo’s season).
Women (9): Lace, Amanda, Jen, Carly, Caila, Izzy, the twins, and Ashley.
Brett with Caila. Brett wanted to take Izzy but she was “coupled” with Vinny and said no. However, she was interested in Brett and that caused tension with her and Vinny. Carl comes in shortly thereafter and Brett and Carl end up going on a double date – Brett with Caila and Carl with Emily.
Ryan with Haley
Wells with Ashley
Vinny leaves during this episode because he realizes that Izzy is interested in Brett and their connection wasn’t as strong as he thought.
Amanda gives her rose to Josh
Lace to Grant
Jen to Nick
Carly to Evan
Caila to Jared
Ashley to Wells
Izzy to Brett
The twins decided to not give out their roses and thus eliminate themselves. However, on their way out, they pulled Amanda aside to warn her about Josh’s intentions, and people in the house were concerned about him. This causes Josh to go off on everyone knowing that people are now talking about him. Kinda helps Andi’s case here about his “temper” since he pretty much blows up on everyone asking the whole group if anyone else has anything to say to him. A few guys speak up against Josh, but he takes most of it out on Nick because, well, it’s Josh and Nick. There HAD to be conflict. This fight will not show Josh in the greatest of light from what I’m hearing. He essentially blew a gasket.
Eliminated this episode: Vinny Venteria leaves during the episode. The twins leave at the rose ceremony by not giving out their roses. Daniel Maguire, Ryan Beckett and Carl King don’t receive roses.
Episode 5: (Women asking dates, guys give out roses)
Women (11): Amanda, Lace, Jen, Carly, Caila, Ashley, and Izzy. The 4 new girls coming in are: Shushanna Mkrtychyan (Ben’s season), Lauren Himle (Ben’s season), Jami Letain (Ben’s season), Tiara Soleim (Ben’s season).
Men: (7): Josh, Grant, Nick, Evan, Jared, Wells, Brett
Jami with Wells
Shushanna and Lauren went on a double date with Wells and Brett
Tiara didn’t have anyone to ask out, so she gave her date card to Nick and he went on a date with Jen.
During this episode, Caila decides to leave because she doesn’t like all the drama going on, and Jared leaves with her since there’s no one else he’s interested in. I’m hearing these two are going to try to date in the real world, but it’s probably not going to last since I’m hearing Caila really isn’t all that interested in him.
Also, Izzy left at some point this episode before the rose ceremony, and Shushanna leaves at the cocktail party in a huff over basically the stupidity of the show. Not sure how much of it they will show, but apparently she went off.
Grant gives his rose to Lace
Nick to Jen
Josh to Amanda
Evan to Carly
Wells to Ashley
Brett does not give out his rose and leaves.
Eliminated this episode: Caila and Jared already left. Shushanna left at the cocktail party. Brett leaves after not giving his rose out, so Jami Letain, Lauren Himle, and Tiara Soleim don’t get roses.
Episode 6: The Finale
As was the case in the previous two seasons, Chris Harrison sits the final couples down and lays down the law. The five remaining “couples” are:
Josh and Amanda
Grant and Lace
Evan and Carly
Nick and Jen
Wells and Ashley
He tells the couples that they must decide if this is a serious enough relationship that they want to pursue. They will all have the opportunity to go on an overnight date if they choose, but they need to be serious about the other person or something utterly ridiculous for knowing someone a little over 2 weeks.
At this point, Wells decides to break it off with Ashley and they both leave, not taking advantage of the overnight date. I guess Ashley’s V card is still intact. As for their post show relationship, all you need to do is follow Ashley’s social media to know she’s interested in Wells. Whether that feeling is reciprocated, I’m not sure.
The remaining 4 couples all go on overnight dates. Wanna hear a doozy from the overnights? Grant and Lace got matching “Grace” tattoos on their arms. No, not because they’re religious. But because
they wanted to get a head start on building their brand together it’s a combination of “Grant” and “Lace.” How cute. I guess that’s much easier to explain away once this relationship ultimately fails, since you could go to the “Oh, it’s a religious thing. By the grace of God go I…” Yeah, problem is any future boyfriend/girlfriend of these two will be able to Google it. So yes, Grant the guy who got a tattoo already of the flight number he met his ex-girlfriend Jen on (even though he didn’t bother to tell her he was engaged when they met), went and got another tattoo of a girl he knew for 3 weeks. 18 days to be exact. Totally makes sense and doesn’t make him the least bit crazy. Lace must feel reeeeeeeeally special. What morons.
As you know, Josh & Amanda, Grant & Lace, and Evan & Carly all get engaged at the end.
Nick and Jen break up. Their breakup I’m hearing was amicable, and judging by each of their social media accounts, it seems like they’re somewhat still in contact. When the process of this show basically forces a couple to “stay together or break up,” and you have a couple that’s known each other for about 10 days (Jen didn’t arrive til episode 3) that lives on opposite coasts (Nick in LA, Jen in FL), you can see why a decision was made to break up.
So there you have it. I’m sure the promos for the show will spice things up and show a bunch of tears, a bunch of flying insults, and even a bunch of things that will never get shown while it airs (remember the handcuffs last year in the preview that never got shown?). Par for the course for this show. However, it will be drama filled and with three proposals at the end, they got what they were looking for. They suckered three people into proposing in a matter of weeks. Unreal.
Just keep in mind that this show is just as highly produced and manipulated as the “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” are. When contestants are brought in and who’s available for them to date is strategically done. It’s why Josh came in RIGHT AFTER Nick went on a date with Amanda. It’s why someone like Ryan Beckett was eliminated before Lauren Himle arrived, even though those two are spending time together post show. Of course producers knew those two were interested in each other, yet, they didn’t allow for it to happen on TV. Why? Because they probably weren’t deemed important enough. There are numerous occasions where this has happened in previous seasons. They don’t care about matchmaking on this show. If they did, way more people would be brought on with an actual chance to meet someone. So just keep that in mind when watching.
