-So the recap of the finale isn’t a normal one due to the fact that at this point in the game, the meeting of the parents, and what they do on their last date, and who said what to whom becomes more pointless. It’s more of an overview of everything this season. And this season proved one thing to me beyond a shadow of a doubt. And that is that facts don’t matter anymore. They just don’t. People’s own self truths are what matters anymore because facts be damned. If those facts don’t line up with their beliefs, then those facts must not be true. And I say that because when I posted the finale spoiler 3 months ago, I told you the story of the person who emailed saying they had pictures of the final rose ceremony. The next day TMZ posted them. And it was Becca and Garrett clearly at the final rose ceremony together, kissing, taking pictures with the crew, and yet STILL there were people who held out hope the spoiler was wrong. Huh? Wha? Yeah, exactly. And that’s why I say facts don’t matter anymore. This is the first time EVER that pictures of the final rose ceremony were ever released this early clearly showing the winner, and yet there are still doubters.

-I absolutely get people wanting to the doubt the spoiler if it’s something I just post and don’t follow it up with any proof. Pretty much on all the finale spoilers, there’s no proof I can give. I rely on my sources, I tell you the ending, and there will always be doubters because there have been times where I’ve been wrong for at least a couple weeks/months. It happens. So I fully expect there to be doubters and I say it every season. This season was different though. Nothing shocks me too much in this franchise anymore, but I really was shocked that people disputed the pictures. Like I said back in May, do you realize what you’re insinuating if you say those pictures were faked? Or that production planted those on purpose? Are you really thinking about that logically? There’s just no chance whatsoever, yet tomorrow, you’ll see some of the emails I got this season telling me production fooled me, she’s with Blake, Garrett is always posting about him fishing and never is with Becca…on and on and on it went. Same song and dance every year, but THIS year when there was photographic evidence that was contrary to what people wanted to believe, people still couldn’t look facts in the face. Crazy. So now I know from this point forward, the ending will always be disputed no matter what.

-So lets rewind a bit to the beginning of the season. This is now 4 “Bachelorette” seasons in a row where the guy who got the first impression rose ended up being the winner. However one thing I’ll give Becca and Garrett credit for is that they didn’t spoil their own season, something we’ve seen all too often recently in both the “Bachelor” and “Bachelorette.” We all remember how badly Arie & Becca spoiled theirs while they were still together. Rachel’s season was spoiled by Astrid in an interview. Didn’t Nick somehow spoil he was with Vanessa? I’m forgetting. But we know it’s happened quite a bit. And I’m talking about obvious spoils. Becca defending Garrett when the IG stuff came out isn’t an obvious spoil because you can make a case for both sides of why she said what she said. I’m talking about blatant social media spoils. It’s almost like Becca and Garrett went out of their way to avoid the social media stuff. Do you know how many times I’ve heard in the past month “Garrett is always fishing or hanging out with friends, I bet he’s not even with her anymore.” It’s why I will say it until I’m blue in the face: social media is never 100% accurate. Yet people will still read into every little thing they see but it won’t end up meaning anything. Yeah, Garrett did post a ton of stuff on the weekends in Reno and fishing and with buddies. Obviously it meant nothing since they’re still together, engaged, and clearly saw each other quite a bit while the show was airing.

-Ahhhh remember this doozy from just last week. They literally took something Becca said during the finale, “I’m in love with Blake,” and created a whole false narrative around it. Then use it to say “that’s why she hasn’t set a wedding date.” Let me ask you something: Name any final couple that sat on set during the ATFR during their first appearance as a public couple and said, “We’ve already set a wedding date.” I can count on zero fingers how many have done that. Yet again, do you know how many people sent me that link asking, “Is there anything to this?” I mean, it’s unreal. This show has been on the air for 16 years and 36 seasons, and yet, every season they have people fooled into buying this garbage. It’s kinda funny. And you know what’ll happen next season? The same exact thing. And the season after that? You got it. It’s never going to end. It’s also why the show isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

-For the second “Bachelorette” season in a row now, they did that weird thing with the final proposal where the guy who gets dumped first is sitting with Chris Harrison right after it happens to talk about it, and we don’t get to the actual proposal until about 15 minutes into the ATFR airing. Weird. They never do that for the “Bachelor.” And Rachel actually sat with Chris the whole time on her live finale having to talk during all the commercial breaks. Becca didn’t have to come out until Blake was there. I mean, I guess it’s something different to change it up. But I think I’d rather have it the other way if you’re asking me. Seems to put the proposal on the back burner. It’s why Rachel and Bryan’s engagement was so forgotten because they spent so much time with Peter. But it looks like this is a “Bachelorette” thing so I guess they’ll keep it going. I don’t get it, but I guess that’s why I’m not a TV producer.
