Update on the Next Bachelor and Upcoming Interviews

Here’s where it stands right now regarding interviews upcoming on this site.

-Brad Womack and I are playing phone tag.

-The female interview I spoke of last column has been postponed indefinitely until her schedule opens up.

-We have a new interview lined up for sometime in the next week. I’ve been in contact with Graham Bunn and he says he’d love to do an interview, but our schedules don’t quite work out that great, so I’m still trying to see when we can fit him in.

As for our next Bachelor, it hasn’t been announced officially yet, but I’ve heard they’ve decided on someone. And it’s not Jeremy. Oh well. We tried.

Stay tuned for more info as I’ll check back to update everyone on the status of where the interviews stand right now.

More Interviews Coming and Some Jeremy Reaction

-Wanted to update everyone on a couple things happening on the site. Within the next week, we should have two new interviews up. One is Bachelor/ette related, and the other is from a completely different reality show that I’ve rarely talked about on this site but I’ve watched every season of. I’ve been in contact with Brad Womack and he is 100% confirmed for the interview. However, he just recently underwent a minor surgery and he’s laid up the rest of the week, but he says next week he’s in. As for the other interview, I’d rather not jinx it. I’m guessing most of you won’t even care about this person, but I do since this show has always been one of my favorites and it’s something I’ve been into since I was a little kid. If you can go back and find a mention of it in a previous column, you’ll probably guess who it is. All I’ll say is that its a female. I’ve gotten in touch with her management company and just waiting to lock down a time.

-As for Jeremy, he and I played golf this week and let me clarify a few things that some people may have misconstrued during the interview:

-No, Jeremy did not sleep with DeAnna. I know he said, “Even if I did, that’s something between DeAnna and I”, trust me, he didn’t. So enough of that.

-Some of you are questioning if he didn’t see any of the episodes how can he comment on things he said and saw. Jeremy saw a few of the episodes in full, and had a lot of other ones that people told him about things that were shown. No, he did not sit down and watch every show, study the screencaps, take notes, and run to message boards like most viewers do. If he wasn’t busy, he watched them, but wasn’t too thrilled on re-living the whole experience. As you could tell, he was definitely hurt by what happened, so if he came across it, he’d watch it. If he didn’t, he had friends and family telling him what they saw.

-As of Wednesday, August 13th, despite rumors that Jason has already been picked to be the next Bachelor, I can confirm that nothing has been decided just yet. Could happen fairly soon though since I’m told they want to start filming in October with a late January start date.

-Let’s always keep in mind that the “Bachelor/ette” is an entertainment show first, and a love story second. Or third. When I read things like “How did he not see the connection between Jesse and DeAnna”, and “The way she looked at Jesse was different than how she looked at any of the other guys”, I just have to chuckle.

-Chef-Boy-Ar-Robert was actually the first guy in the house to call Jeremy out. I believe he called Jeremy a douchebag. Robert had a pretty high opinion of himself at the house in case you couldn’t tell, and well, he still does.

-There are plenty of you that are Jason fans and will scream from the mountaintops that Jason should be the next Bachelor. Which is fine. I’m not saying I’d be against it at all. Hell, I don’t think Jeremy would be against it considering how good of friends they’ve become. I understand there will always be pro-Jason fans and pro-Jeremy fans. I think the interview definitely showed a different side that maybe didn’t come across on the show. That was the purpose of the interview and maybe getting to hear about some things that you might not have known about before. Some of you want to hear Jason’s side of things. I’ll definitely see if I can make that happen. Wouldn’t mind interviewing him at all.

-All in all, the interview came off really well, I’d say 90% of the reaction has been positive, and Jeremy has also heard good things on his end. I have a feeling that won’t be the last time you’ll be hearing Jeremy on Realitysteve.com. Even if he isn’t the next Bachelor, I’m guessing we can have him on to comment every once in a while on the next season, whether it be Jason or someone else.

-If you still would like to see Jeremy as the next Bachelor, you can:

1) Call and leave a message at 866-739-3150
2) Email kellicastingthebachelor@yahoo.com and tell her why Jeremy would make the best choice

-And last but not least, I shot a 91. Jeremy? I think he was a tad higher than that.

Keep checking the site for the latest news and interviews. Until next time….

Reality Steve Interviews Jeremy

So it wasn’t too hard to figure out. Jeremy lives in Dallas. I live right outside of Dallas. Thankfully ABC didn’t get involved and this interview was able to come off. This looooooong interview I might add. Let’s just say you’re gonna probably need to download this to your ipod considering it’s an hour and a half long. I think at one point I might’ve asked him his social security number. There are a few audio glitches in the last half of the interview that I apologize for. Didn’t realize that happened until I listened back. However, Jeremy was very open and candid about his whole experience on the show. I think we pretty much covered everything that was important. And if I forgot something, it’s probably something he told me off mike that I forgot to re-ask. Listening back to it, there were some topics we didn’t really cover like DeAnna’s blow up at the BBQ, Robert’s popped collar, and a couple others. But there were plenty of other goodies Jeremy had for us: So what was his deal with Ron? Did he fall in love with DeAnna? How did he feel DeAnna led him on? How upset was he about getting eliminated? What made him decide to go back and try and talk to her after being eliminated? Was it difficult for him to open up about his parents? Why does he want to be the next Bachelor? Did he think Jesse had any chance of being the final one? Is he dating Chelsea? All this and much, much more in a tell all interview that you can listen to by clicking here. So click on the link and listen through your computer, or right click and download it to your itunes. Probably your best bet considering its length. It may take a few seconds to start up since the interview is so long, so just be patient.

I want to thank Jeremy for taking the time to do this. To come up to the studio on a Tuesday night and spend a couple of hours and talk about something he’s probably been beaten to death with ad nauseum is pretty commendable. One of the reasons for the interview other than finding out a little more about what happened this season, is that there’s still a chance Jeremy can be the next Bachelor. I can without question say that after spending a couple hours with Jeremy last weekend, and then hanging with him last night, I’ve officially joined Team Jeremy. I might even go create some t-shirts. They’d definitely out sell “Team LC” or “Team Heidi” shirts. All I wanted to do was give the guy a forum to give his side of things and let you be the judge. Listen to the interview and form your own opinions, but I think you’ll see he’s one of the more genuine guys to ever go on the show. ABC still hasn’t made their decision, the word is its down to Jeremy and Jason, so you still have a voice. Post on the message boards, sign petitions, call ABC, email ABC, visit Jeremys MySpace page (www.myspace.com/jcapromos) and voice your opinion. Jeremy would like to be the next Bachelor and I think after listening to the guy, maybe you’ll agree too. He pretty much sold me, and lets face it, I’m not the easiest person in the world to convince that anything about this show is legit. Couldn’t have been a nicer guy and I definitely think he’s in it for the right reasons.

So listen to the interview, hear what Jeremy has to say, leave your comments afterwards, and let’s see if the power of Realitysteve.com can get Jeremy on as the next Bachelor. Enjoy…
