Reality Roundup 3/15/10 Including a Vegas Interview, “Idol” Thoughts, & an Anniversary

Back after an almost two-week hiatus, we’ve got a few things to discuss. Namely, what happened on the Vegas trip, the Rozlyn sex tape, my thoughts on Jason and Molly’s wedding, the Top 12 of “American Idol”, and what 2-year anniversary is today. Yes, I realize the ABC’s “20/20″ fluff piece on the “Bachelor” airs tonight, but I will cover that in Wednesday’s column, which will have a recap of Tuesday’s “Idol” performances. So you can expect a column every Wednesday from here on out as I give my opinions on each of the previous nights performances, followed by who I think SHOULD go home vs. who I think WILL go home. And the way this season has gone so far, it seems like anyone can go home any week, so it might be a little tougher. Lets get started.

T-minus 25 hours and counting. I need a break from all this “Bachelor” nonsense. I really do. I’ve been going at it for two months straight and to finally get to Vegas, have some fun, and not have to think about Jake and Vienna at least for another few weeks til he shows up on DTWS will be a nice break. Of course, Vegas lasts less than two days before I’m on a plane to NY for work, so, even my fun vacation gets cut a little short. Boooooooooooo. Last chance for anyone to get in touch with me today regarding the Vegas trip. If you were/are interested, and you didn’t receive the group email yesterday, I suggest you email me immediately so I can give you the info. Or if you just feel like showing up and looking for me, I can guarantee you I’ll either be at the pool or at a craps/blackjack table. That’s a given. The Bachelor Finale Recap (Part 1) – 3/1/10

Never in the last two months did I ever doubt the information my sources gave me. The tough part was knowing that I’m never fully vindicated until that final episode airs. But week by week, everything played out like I told everyone it would, and I just sat there and smiled even though the doubters were still there. Jason and Molly’s Wedding

I’m sure plenty of you are aware their wedding took place this past Saturday in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. It’ll be shown as part of a 2 hour special next Monday night. I’ve heard minor details here and there about people in attendance and other things, but all in all, it’s a wedding. Come next Monday night, you’re pretty much gonna get what you’d expect from a wedding. Well, except that weather. When the ceremony started, it wasn’t raining. But right when they started in on their vows, they got poured on for the rest of the ceremony. Sure, probably not the most ideal way to remember your wedding day, and no bride wants to get soaked after spending hours on makeup, hair, and a 45k dress, but from all accounts, Jason and Molly had fun with it, laughed it off, and it went through without a hitch. After much anticipation, my interview with Rozlyn Papa has finally happened. Let’s just say you better set aside some ample amount of time to be able to listen to this. It’s basically two hours long. But honestly, I don’t think I would take back any question I asked, nor would I want to dismiss any answer she gave. Yes, a lot of you have heard Rozlyn deny the allegations and the story behind her appearance on the show during the “Women Tell All” and other media she has done. But how many details did you really get? A few minute sit down interview that was edited? This is a two hour raw, unedited, and very open conversation about what happened on the show. Sometimes stuff comes up, and things get postponed. I apologize, the interview with Rozlyn had to be pushed back a day due to, well, her being a mother. Understandable. I mean, what’s more important: Reality Steve getting the much anticipated interview with the most controversial “Bachelor” contestant ever, or, tending to her kids needs regarding school. C’mon. It’s a no-brainer. Me. And only me. Can’t believe she did this. Where are her priorities? I’m kidding. What Happened at the “After the Final Rose”?

Throughout this whole season, outside of being off a week regarding the Ella exit from the show, I have told you everything that was going to happen. And it’s all come true. However, the one thing that had eluded me all season, was what form Jake choosing Vienna took. In my first spoiler column of the season on Jan. 6th, my guess was he probably proposed, but I wasn’t sure. For a guy that was hell bent on falling in love and finding a wife, and knowing that Vienna was the final one, back then I just found it hard to believe that Vienna was the final one chosen, but he left it at “lets just date”. I knew that he didn’t choose Tenley (that’s when you’ll see him pull a Mesnick next week, after he lets Tenley go). That was cut and dry. There was no Brad Womack job this season. For those that are friends of mine on Facebook, or follow me on Twitter, you saw that yesterday I made mention of some huge news regarding the “After the Final Rose” show coming this week. Yes, I said “this week”, not today. There’s a reason for that. Because I gave an exclusive interview to “In Touch” magazine regarding what happened at the “ATFR” taping this past Sunday, and I’m not allowed to post it on the site until 12:01am EST later on tonight. So you’re gonna have to wait a few hours. More “Bachelor” Thoughts

A few things to go over here regarding the news in “Bachelor” world. I think some of you are confused by what I said about Rozlyn’s appearance on Monday’s “Women Tell All” episode, so let me be as clear as I can. Since Rozlyn spoke to RadarOnline, it pretty much confirmed what I had heard. As I mentioned, Rozlyn never once confronts Jake on the show. They’re never on the same stage together at the same time, nor does she ever interact with him at any point. However, some of you took that to mean when she was brought out, it was just her and Chris on stage. Not the case. From what I heard, which was then confirmed by Rozlyn in her interview, she was kept sequestered from all the other women during the whole taping. She says she was backstage “for hours” while taping started, and didn’t even know what was being said since they weren’t letting her listen in.
