The Bachelor 13 - Jason

ATFR 2 Taping

Here’s what I know what happened coming from someone who was there:

-Jillian is announced as the next Bachelorette.
-Melissa was not there. Chris Harrison had a written letter from Melissa that he read which stated she was fine, she’s moved on, and doesn’t regret anything about anything happened.
-Showed the finale and ATFR 1 condensed to the audience into a 90 minute version, so it was basically a clip show of the two shows combined. Jason proposed to Melissa. Him crying on the balcony was after he had let Molly go, and before Melissa had arrived. Melissa obviously accepted the proposal. They leave NZ engaged. (Gee, I said that a month ago).
-DeAnna actually does ask him to take her back, but he’s like, “Look loser, I’m in love with two other women.” So I’m sure she was put put up to that since she just had broken up with Jesse two weeks earlier. DeAnna admitted to choosing the “wildcard”, but said she should’ve picked him instead. Oh please. More B.S. Blah blah blah….

-Jason dumps Melissa on camera. When Melissa came out, she was in a somber mood. Like she knew what was about to happen. They barely embraced. Made it seem like Melissa knew it was coming. Jason tells her he can’t stop thinking about Molly. Melissa asks if he had contact with her, he says no. She says, “You chose me, but you’re not willing to fight for me?” Basically accusing him of changing his mind. “We left New Zealand, we spent all this time together, and now you want to spend all this time with someone else. I don’t get it.”
-Jason just says the chemistry is different, and he can’t stop thinking of Molly. So Melissa is pissed that he proposed but basically wussed out and didn’t give their relationship a chance.
-Last thing shown to everyone is Chris Harrison saying, “I’ll leave you two alone to talk”. Then Melissa telling Jason, “Don’t text me, don’t call me, don’t email me, I don’t want anyone contact with you, we’re done.” She gets up, leaves, gets into a limo, and talks to the camera.

-She leaves and they bring Molly out. Molly has NO IDEA this has just happened with Melissa. She thinks she’s coming out to ask Jason her questions, and he explains he just dumped Melissa. Basically telling her he can’t stop thinking about her. Molly keeps looking at Chris Harrison thinking this is all a joke.
-She asks, “What about Melissa?” Jason says “I don’t expect you to get engaged to me now, but can we explore this.” Molly says she’ll give it a chance. Once Molly is over the shock, she says they have a lot to talk about, she feels sorry for Melissa, but she’s willing to see where things go and she can’t help but be a little bit happy. Said her feelings have never changed since getting dumped in New Zealand. Shows ends there.

-Chris Harrison talking to Naomi, Nikki, Stephanie, Kari, and Erica live in studio. Gets their reaction to everything that happened. They essentially all bag on Jason saying if he was that conflicted, he should’ve waited and not proposed.
-Took questions and comments from the audience. Some of the girls on stage answered some of the questions, but it was basically getting feedback.
-Jason comes out next by himself. This is when Chris Harrison reads the letter from Melissa. Afterwards, Jason defends his decision saying he had to do it, didn’t want to lead Melissa on, follow his heart, Molly was constantly on his mind, blah blah blah
-Bring Molly out by herself first then Jason joins her. Talk about how everything is great. Rewatches her segment from ATFR 1 and reiterates she was really surprised, had a lot of questions, but Jason answered them. Her family had questions too, but, they’re fine with it now and they love Jason. She’s planning on moving to Seattle once everything dies down. Hope people aren’t mad at him for following his heart. Jason is mad that people are saying bad things about Molly. Molly states for the record, she is NOT pregnant.
-When both out there, Chris Harrison asks Jason at what point he had something for Molly, and audience member screams “The tent!” So they bring the tent out to both of them as their gift.

-Show ends with them bringing Jillian out and announcing her as the next Bachelorette.

Final analysis:

I’ve been vindicated! Thank god. Why would I have lied to you people? I had nothing to gain by lying in all this. Nothing. I was truthful and honest from the beginning. You gotta remember, what was shown to the audience was a 90 minute version of the 2 hr finale and ATFR 1. So things can be spliced up, edited, and shown out of order. But this was the bare bones of what was shown.

So when Melissa asks him, “Did you have contact with Molly?” and he says, “No”, there might be more to it. They didn’t see the whole show, the just saw the highlights of the ATFR 1. I’ll say it now, Melissa suspected Jason was seeing/texting/emailing/talking to Molly. That’s why she asked. There’s no way he didn’t contact her in those two months. Not a chance. But like I said, this is the way I thought ABC would spin this – that he just changed his mind. And that’s what they’re going to present. Hey, if you want to believe that, go ahead. I will always believe differently. He did not just change his mind without having spoken to her in 2 months in my mind. No way.

Also, as some of the bachelorettes said, if he was THAT conflicted at the final rose ceremony, why even propose to Melissa? If you don’t think for a second this was part of a plan, then I don’t know what to tell you. There’s no way anyone in their right mind, if they were truly in love with two people, would propose to one, then two months later, dump her on national television. I’m seriously contemplating printing out the email conversation now between Melissa and Jason that was done after the ATFR 1 was taped. It verifies everything I’m saying here and coincides with what Melissa said at the taping once he broke up with her. All Jason is doing in these emails is apologizing for what he did and wishes he would’ve handled it better and not listened to the producers. Now that we know how this all plays out, you can’t tell me the emails were fake. I’m sorry. I never thought they were, the addresses were verified, and exactly what happened tonight is exactly what’s in them, EXCEPT for the fact that Melissa knew Jason had contact with Molly while they were engaged. And ABC conveniently left that part out. But something still tells they might not have left it out, and we will see the full meltdown. Guess we’ll find out Monday.

So the question til the end of time will be this: When did Molly know about all this? When she left New Zealand, I truly believe Molly knew nothing. She thought it was over and she was heartbroken because she had just been dumped. I’m telling you, I will believe beyond a shadow of a doubt until the end of time, that Jason and Molly were in contact during the two months from the taping of the finale in New Zealand until the ATFR 1 taping in January. Here’s something else to ponder? Why would they bring Melissa out first, have Molly backstage not listening in to anything going on, if they didn’t have ANY idea what was about to happen? Don’t they ALWAYS bring the F2 girl out first on the ATFR shows so she can ask her questions and get her answers first? Please.

In closing, all the phonies out there who tried to tell you Jason and Melissa were happy and engaged, Molly was pregnant, Melissas parents were the real issue, Jason’s mom was posting on message boards, and all the other crazy rumors you’ve heard over the last month, you couldn’t have been more wrong and congratulations on trying to throw people off. The bottom line is I told you on Jan. 27th what the outcome of this show would be, and today’s taping proved it. I’m sure Jasons pleading of “Don’t hate Molly” and “I went with my gut and I’m happy as a clam right now” will tug at the heartstrings of some of you, but hey, I’m not buying it. At all. I believe Jason Mesnick knew during the filming he was going to pick Molly, was told to pick Melissa so they could create this shocking, dramatic finale, and he went along with it. I guess its my word against theirs until eternity. I tend to think my word is worth more.

RS – I am impressed! Part of me doesn’t want to watch because I am pissed that he did that to Melissa. On the other hand, I want to watch to see if Melissa lets him have it!

Poor Melissa. If I was her, I would’ve smacked him in the face and then threw the ring at him! Regarding Molly, her doe eyed “I had no clue” is a little much. Please. She was dating him all along. Besides, she has no regard for men in relationships (proven that she has dated married men before!), so I doubt she was worried about Melissa at all.

Jason, I thought you had more class than this. Especially how you felt after DeAnna dumped you. What a great example you just set for your son!

    Great job Lala (950) –
People like Georgie swing in here to stir things up – insult all of us – then pretend it’s our fault. We don’t need Georgies here – just people who want to state their opinion (whether we believe their opinion or not) so that we can all see different possibilities. I do believe Steve, but don’t believe it was planned from the beginning. I think J is the one who triggered all these events, and Fleiss capitalized on them.

As for Pink girl, I for one listened to her opinion, then thought there could be truth in it. That didn’t make RS wrong, I was hoping he just didn’t know what ATFR2 was going to show. Pink constantly told us the “truth” and was convincing. But when we figured out she was posting on other boards with different names, and we asked her about it, she disappeared. While some people post their opinions (which are different from ours), they don’t just disappear – they stay here and argue with each other – and most of us keep our senses of humor. No one is forcing anyone to believe something they don’t want to believe – if it is upsetting to you that everyone doesn’t believe your opinion is correct, then you probably shouldn’t be posting on ANY blog site. Not everyone believes my thoughts – there are others I don’t believe are correct. It doesn’t matter – we are all here together because of an interest in a silly tv show.

Regarding Aletheia – what IS her problem? No one cares if she has a site or not. RS doesn’t blog just to trash her. It’s like the purpose of her blog has become to trash Aletheia. It’s not RS’s fault that we don’t believe Aletheia – it’s her own fault. Between her broken deadlines, and her delete key, she never “broke” any news. I won’t go to her site because she’s in it for the money. RS isn’t making money on his blog – there are no ads, no phishing, no pop-ups – and he’s good fun!

    Just my 2 cents.

Well I just have a couple of comments for now. For those of you that are chosing to NOT watch tonight, you owe it to RS to do exactly the opposite. And, you need to watch it so you can support Melissa if in deed all this is true and she is blind sighted by it. I also agree that Melissa should be the next Bachelorette, but she may have been offered and then turned it down due to the hurt and Jason saying “they made me do it” we may never know. Also, whoever said that Jillian mentioned she is not the next Bachelorette in an interview, well come on, we aren’t supposed to know that until the ATFR2. She can’t say whether she is or not right now. Man this is exhausting when people don’t pay attention. RS I feel your pain dude.

#964. with the way ABC operates Melissa owes it to herself NOT to be the next B-ette or have anything to do with them. i disagree on that one. true ABC took the cake with this season, but she’d essentially be signing a contract for more of the same, a contract with the devil. she’d never go for it. you have to remember this isn’t the only season that has had things fudged.

I can’t believe that tonight is FINALLY the night!! Can’t wait for all of this to be over. There is one thing that’s very strange about J on The View. TPTB know that most viewers don’t know about all of these bloggers and rumors and such. Why would they allow The View girls to ask about the “dumping Mel for Molly” rumors? Why let them put that out there to, in a sense, give away their big, shocking ending? It is an ABC show…you’d think they would want to keep that one under wraps. Oh well, I’ve given up on trying to figure out what motivates TPTB. They apparently think that all of us viewers want to see the kind of garbage they are airing tonight….too bad they’re wrong. I think that after 12 failures, most of us would love to see a semi-normal, happy ending. Que sera sera….

#967 If you would read, I said that Melissa should have been offered the Bachelorette according to past shows, then I said she probably turned ABC down due to the “Jason saying they made me do it” email. I’m right here. I don’t post on weekends, too busy.

I have to wonder how some people have lumped me in with Pinkgirl and now the backlash of having a different opinion about the ending is now a wrath I must endure by some on here.
I never claimed to know anything for sure unlike Pinkgirl and simply said I won’t judge someone based on what RS has speculated. I am pretty much convinced that RS was right about just about everything (not everything, scripted, etc..) but most of it and I am floored because my opinion of Jason has sank. I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt to him and others and if you look at 90% of what I posted that is what I was trying to do. I was simply a doubter of RS and didn’t participate in any name-calling or judging of anyone until I saw it for myself…if that is so wrong then owell.

I did read someone saying I was only here to cause trouble and I have to wonder what posts that person was reading because although I had a couple back and forths with some on here and actually had to defend myself for standing up fro Jason, all in all I have had a good time and got along with many more than I didn’t.

I only discovered this site a few weeks ago, but I have to admit I keep coming back to it every day. I’m drawn to it, just like a magnet!
I love your sense of humor Steve—especially when it is sarcastic, and I have laughed and laughed. I will continue to read your site, and I’m sure you will have some more to say about this.
Also, I have had so much fun reading everyone’s comments. The humor in some of them is just too funny, and I can’t help it –I LMAO, because some of them are SO FUNNY! Two of my favorites in this last one are:

    #459 Rita
“Jillian as the next bachelorette…love her. Gentlemen, prepare your weiners!” (That was priceless, and I laughed until tears came to my eyes.)

    #785 Singleladee
“I think Jason is on the balcony crying because he just found out he didn’t make the cut for the new rogaine foam commercial.”
It is easier to come to this site, because all of you have read Steve’s information and most of you agree with me, that he is right. Many things he had told us in past blogs have already happened on the show,so I have no reason to doubt Steve or his source. I can’t talk to my friends about this, because they have not read RS and they make sarcastic remarks like, “Well, I gues you have it all figured out, don’t you?” Or they will say, “How do you know that he doesn’t work for the show?” I try to explain to them that he doesn’t but have given up trying to talk about it and just come here and read what you all think.
I posted a comment yesterday about Jason’s MySpace page.
Geez, louise, the comments are just getting nastier and nastier on there. I do agree with one comment from someone named Deborah, on 2-20-09 that said, “Who wants to watch a show based on lies and deception for the viewers?” She also said something to the effect that people should go on there to fall in love. If you have time to read it, I agree with her, and there is a lot of truth in what she said.
I guess part of my problem, was that all these years, I really thought the show was about falling in love. I wanted it to be about that, and now that I’ve learned all this other stuff about it, and what a train wreck it is, I’m just very disappointed in the show and in the people who produce it. I guess The Bachelor had something to sell, and maybe I was naive for buying it, but I have to admit I did, because I wanted to see a love story.
Any Country music fans on here? I couldn’t help but laugh last night when I was thinking about one of my favorite George Strait songs, Ocean Front Property, and I was comparing it to this show. It’s about a guy in love with a girl and there is a touch of sarcasm in it, when it gets to the second verse.
The first two verses go like this:

“If you leave me, I won’t miss you
And I won’t ever take you back.
Girl your memory won’t ever haunt me
    Cause I don’t love you,
And now if you’ll buy that,

I’ve got some ocean front property in Arizona,
From my front porch you can see the sea.
I’ve got some ocean front property in Arizona,
If you’ll buy that, I’ll throw the Golden Gate in free.”

I guess the producers of The Bachelor had some “ocean front property in Arizona,” (this fake reality t.v. show, just like there is no ocean near Arizona,) to sell.
A lot of us, the viewers, bought it, so they threw a hell of a lot of “golden gates in free,” –twists and shocking, dramatic turns, the most dramatic rose ceremonies ever, and crazy editing, all in the name of drama, entertainment, ratings and of course big bucks. I wanted SO MUCH to believe that this show was for real, and I kept buying it and they kept “throwing the golden gate in free.”
Though I have decided to give it up after this season, I will be coming back to read RS reviews of it, if it has another season, and it probably will, because people keep buying it. As I have said before, now that I know the truth, I won’t miss the show itself, but I will miss what I thought it was.
And like several of you have said, I will miss reading these comments. I agree with several of you that we will be “going through withdrawal,” –lol– but I know I need to as one person has said, “get my life back.” Steve, you have made this fun, tho, and thanks for letting the cat out of the bag.
I definitely will be watching tonight, tomorrow night and will watch the Wed. Thurs. and Fri. Ellen shows. Should be very interesting, and I really think it will play out as Steve has said.

    someone posted this on facebook:

Unbelievably, They asked Jason to be the Bachelor the minute he was dumped by Deanna but he had to agree to a set-up. Jason was told THAT DAY that he would have to propose to the real runner up – the girl he didn’t want to choose – and then break-up with her on the Final Rose and choose the girl he didn’t propose to on the show. He agreed to this! He picks the girl he doesn’t want- she has no idea – the producers fly her to Seattle every other weekend and then fly the other girl to him that he didn’t choose on the off weekends. So he’s cheating on the girl he proposed to who has no idea this is happening – the other girl was contacted about this by the producers after the finale. So on the final rose after the finale, he tells the girl who he proposed to that he has had a change of heart and calls off the engagement. He then picks the other girl and on the Final Rose 2 – the night after – he and the other girl announce their engagement. I thought he was a really nice guy and now I am disgusted. The only real part about this show was that he got to pick the two girls. So when you see the proposal, it’s fake – when you see him break the other girls heart – it’s fake. When you see the final rose – it’s BS that he had a change of heart – it was planned and he has been seeing her every other week and the real girl has no idea! Remember, he agreed to do this when he was chosen- the day Deanna dumped him. So our sweet gorgeous bachelor is an asshole and agreed to the set up with the producers to get the show better ratings. I know the girls but I won’t spoil unless you want to know. If you want to know more just leave a comment on this note! He tricked the hell out of all of us who thought he was the sweetest, hottest guy ever – he’s actually a complete asshole. I was tricked – this is so cruel and remember the girl he did propose to has no idea this is going to happen. Unbelievable – worse than Brad – who I actually thought did the right thing by not choosing either girl because he didn’t think either girl would work out. I love the show and can’t wait to see this bullshit unfold but I will never ever watch it again – it’s hurtful and set-up for ratings from the beginning of the choice!

Didn’t anybody notice that Melissa wasn’t wearing the engagement at the ATFR? That was the first thing I noticed. I had no clue any of this was going on until I watched the Finale and ATFR. However for some reason my eyes immediately went to her left hand when she walked out on the floor, and her finger was bare. Also, she had her hands folded in her lap for some time. The first time I noticed the ring, was when she had it in her hands, in the process of giving it back to him.

I am on the fence. I don’t believe that Jason would knowlingly do this on national television. Like him or not, he does have a 4 year old son, and I can’t understand why Jason would subject him to such negative publicity.

As far as Melissa, I felt during the show, that she, herself, was a bit of a fake. She just seemed to have the right answers at the right time. Specifically referring to the part when she decided that she all of a sudden wanted to get her teaching certificate and be a 1st grade teacher. When Jason asked her what she would do with her summers off, she had the magic answer, ‘playing with my kids’. OF COURSE!! She was trying to win the heart of a devoted father – who is head over heels – in love with his son.

I am going to keep an open mind about this and hope that what we saw on TV is really what happened. Again, I just can’t understand how anybody, especially a parent, would knowingly do this – just for TV rating purposes.

I think Jason’s mother influenced him. She said Molly was more career oriented and he needs someone there for him and Ty.

What happened to Melissa supposedly calling her parents to let them know she was engaged? Thought that was suppose to be some type of proof it was scripted since no one else is suppose to know.

Jason didn’t seem all that shocked to see Deanna. That is because he already saw her at the house where all the girls stayed. In the first episode they showed her on the balcony and all the girls looking shocked. Never did she that all season.

Also first episode they showed him proposing to a girl with long brown hair. Thought that meant it was Jillian/Melissa.

Read on the internet that Deanna may have been paid $10,000 to appear on the show. She and Jason were way too friendly after what she did.

Also don’t think Molly would be so willing to get back with him so fast if he hadn’t been in contact with her. I think she knew something at some point before the show. On Jimmy Kimmel his good-bye to Molly was a bit different than the original broadcast. She should call Melissa to see what happened. Always two sides to everything.

At the end of last night’s ATRC part 2 when Jason and Molly were relaxing on a sofa, toasting each other I thought they both said it’s just the two of us now. Have they already forgotten forget about Ty or did I not hear correctly?
