The Bachelor 14 - Jake

Spoilers for the rest of the season & the truth behind the “Rozlyn” scandal

Before we get to the spoilers, I want to touch on two quick things that I planned on talking about in yesterday’s column unless I got wind of all the Rozlyn stuff. Namely, Jake contradicting himself before the season even started, and Chris Harrison lying to everyone. Again. First lets start with Chris. On Moday, EW.com posted an interview they did with him that you can read by clicking here. Most importantly I’m referring to this answer he gave when asked about the Jason/Molly/Melissa fiasco:

On the Bachelor breakup heard round the world:”With Jason and Melissa, did she know they were going to break up? No. Did she know something was wrong? Obviously she’s half of a relationship. She’s not an idiot. But she didn’t know what was about to happen. So that was a very genuine moment. In that situation I understand how it looked to America. Like, beautiful proposal, and then we’re in a studio and it’s all falling apart. But for us it was a six-month period. I know people think we are so full of it, but when I was there [at the proposal] it was as real as it could be. I flew home from New Zealand going, ‘That’s going to make a beautiful cover of a magazine.’ You couldn’t get any better – why would you want to eff with that?”

Ok, why is Chris Harrison lying 9 months after the fact that Melissa didn’t know they were going to break up? “She didn’t know what was about to happen.” WHAT???!!! Chris, this isn’t even insider information. When Melissa went on “Ellen” afterwards, she admitted her and Jason were already broken up. Jason admitted publicly to several media outlets as well that they were already broken up and Melissa knew it. Something he reiterated to me in our conversation. So if the host of this show for 19 seasons, still can’t get his story straight in arguably the biggest scandal the show has had, why are we supposed to believe anything else that comes out of his mouth? It’s public knowledge now that Jason and Melissa were already broken up at the time of the ATFR 1 taping, they’ve both admitted it. Yet the host of the show still wants to convince people they weren’t? Seriously, I’d love for Chris to explain himself here because I can’t imagine he still believe they were still a couple when they walked on stage that night.

As for Jake, the one answer he keeps giving about why he feels this concept of the “Bachelor” works (despite the track record of being an enormous failure), is that he constantly keeps referring to the job casting does in finding the perfect 25 people. They did it for Jillian, and they did it for him. On “Regis and Kelly” Monday, he made it a point to say how they really spend so much time with you, that they know you so well, they cast the best 25 applicants out there. Specifically, he talked about what a great job they did for Jillian. Ummmm Jake, you haven’t stopped running your mouth since the show ended about how Wes and how he had a girlfriend and he was there for the wrong reasons and he edit was 100% accurate. So which is it? You can’t have it both ways. Obviously casting didn’t do that great of job with Jillian since one of the guys, according to you, never should’ve been there in the first place. Not only Wes, but even in your season opening blog on People.com, you talk about how Dave Goode’s edit was 100% accurate as well. So before you go praising casting for the amazing job they do, remember what’s already come out of your mouth. Totally contradicting yourself.

Ok, we are now going to get into the SPOILERS portion of this season. Just to be clear, and to give people plenty of time to look away and go read some other message board giving false information, I will now divulge how the final four breaks down along with some other details. You can choose to believe what other sites are presenting, that’s fine. Once again, kinda like the Jason/Molly/Melissa news that I broke, technically I won’t be proven right until the season ends and these people are eliminated in the order I’m about to give. But what I’m about to report is NOT A GUESS, it’s fact. This is what I’ve been told, and I have no reason to believe otherwise. Ready? Here we go. I think some of you, in fact most of you, will be surprised by Jake’s final choice. I sure was.

*******SPOILERS********

-In this Monday’s episode, there will two group dates, and one 1-on-1 date. The group dates are to Magic Mountain and an “In Style” photo shoot. Rozlyn gets the rose on the “In Style” group date, Elizabeth gets the rose on the Magic Mountain group date, and Ali gets the 1-on-1, where she too gets a rose.

-In the third episode, there is a group date to Jon Lovitz’ comedy club in Hollywood, which I told you about a couple months ago. Crazy ass Michelle is on that group date, and at that point, Jake has kissed every girl who is on that group date at some point. Michelle finds out about this, confronts him with it, asks him to kiss her, he does, and then replies with some sort of “That’s all I get?” Michelle is then done after the comedy club date. Not quite clear if she just leaves at that point, or if she doesn’t get a rose at the ceremony, but she is gone after episode three.

-Also in the third episode, Ella gets a 1-on-1 date at Sea World with her son and Jake. A date, coincidentally, that was originally planned for Rozlyn and her 7 year old son. Ella does not receive a rose at the end of this date and is sent packing. I’m hearing Jake essentially tells her she should be with her son, and not him. Ouch.

-At some point this season, Jake has a 2-on-1 date and sends both girls home. Don’t know when it occurs or who the two girls are, but neither gets a rose. That I know. If I find out about who’s on that date, I’ll report it in a later column.

-Ok, now for what you’ve been waiting for. Your final four are: Tenley, Gia, Ali, and Vienna. I’m hearing Ali voluntarily leaves the show at this point for, I think, work related reasons. Whatever the case, she’s eliminated after the home town dates.

-Final three are then Tenley, Gia, and Vienna. Gia gets sent home after the overnight dates.

-Which leaves the final two of Tenley and Vienna. And in what has not been reported anywhere else, Vienna is Jake’s final choice. Are they engaged? Not sure. But he does choose her in the end over Tenley. I’m guessing he proposed, but not sure. I’d say that’s kind of a surprise because Vienna doesn’t really seem to be someone that anyone thinks of as a favorite right now. Well, she is. She’s the final one.

So that’s the rest of your season. There will be doubters, there will be people from other boards asking me where I got my info, etc. It doesn’t matter where I got it from. I know what I know. This is how the final four shakes out. I didn’t base this off screencaps or facebook accounts or anything like that. This was told to me as what happens the rest of the season and I believe it to be 100% true. The next 6-7 weeks will prove me correct.

“Rozlyn Scandal”

This Rozlyn scandal has many more depths to it than I originally thought, and things can probably be explained a little more in detail to help understand better, but here’s the basic facts on how it was told to me:

Rozlyn is a 28 year old single mom. Her son is 7 years old. One of the big reasons Rozlyn came on the show is because she was promised that she’d be able to talk to her son every day, and they would eventually fly him out. This never happened. (Remember, the same thing happened to Megan Parris from Jason’s season. Her son wasn’t even a year and a half old, and she left to do the show because they told her the same thing. Apparently this show really gets off on lying to single mothers to get them on the show). Well, Rozlyn’s ex-husband never signed the release form for her son to be shown on TV, which is why we never see him and why she never ends up getting the 1-on-1 date at Sea World with was originally planned for her.

What does this have to do with the scandal? From what I’m told, a big contention in the house the night before next week’s rose ceremony (which remember Rozlyn already secured a rose for on her group date), is that Rozlyn was told by producers, “Do NOT tell Jake about your son yet. Not now. Save it for later.” However, on one hand they’re telling Rozlyn not to tell Jake about her son (even though she’s already talked about it with all the women in the house), but when the other women go in for their ITM’s (1-on-1’s with the camera), the producers are asking them, “Hey, so what do you think about Rozlyn not telling Jake about her son?”, just so they can get a reaction. Well, one of the girls tells Rozlyn she was just asked about this in her ITM and it set Rozlyn off. Apparently she had a melt down in the kitchen that won’t be shown, because she’s going off about not being able to see her son, that the show is lied to her, and she wants out. At this point they realize they need to get rid of her somehow.

Thus the “scandal” storyline is put in motion. One of the producers in the house apparently took a very strong interest in Rozlyn. Spent more time with her than any of the other girls, confided in her, and basically started to fall for her. Well, when Rozlyn receives her rose on Monday’s episode during the group date, a lot of the girls in the house were noticing this producer and Rozlyn’s flirtatious behavior towards each other, saw Rozlyn gets a rose, and started becoming suspicious. From there I was told, this producer was confronted by somebody, and ADMITTED that he basically had fallen for Rozlyn which, in the context of the show, is considered “inappropriate behavior”. Yes, you can talk with them. Yes, you can become their friend. But if you start to develop feelings for one of them, technically that’s compromising your work, and it can be labeled “inappropriate behavior”. However, while this producer admitted this, he NEVER admits that he and Rozlyn had any type of sexual affair. Never kissed, never had sex, never did anything of the such. Well, it didn’t matter at this point cuz boom! They’ve got their storyline now.

Since the girls in the house were already suspicious of Rozlyn and this producer’s flirtatious behavior, that’s why you hear a voice over of Ashley Elmore say, “She’s having a sexual relation with someone in the Bachelor house.” Never happened. The ONLY time you will hear “sex” or “sexual relations” will be when it’s coming from one of the other girls, because at that point, it’s speculation. You been reading Chris Harrison’s quotes? He’s yet to use the word “sexual affair”. He can’t, since it never happened. So they were flirting, the producer admitted to falling for her, but there was never any physical contact. But once he admitted that, he was good as done. They fired him.

So after they fired the producer, the day of the rose ceremony, psychiatrists, lawyers, etc get involved because they have to make 100% sure that they say the right things on camera. Since I haven’t seen the episode yet, I don’t know the exact words, but basically Chris Harrison tells Rozlyn 1-on-1 (in the most dramatic way of course), something like “for the first time in Bachelor history, we’re going to have to let you go for having an inappropriate relationship with someone on the show.” He tells her, she’s escorted immediately to her room to pack, and is taken off the show. Then I guess Chris tells Jake, then the rest of the girls. And that’s when the, “It must be because they were having a sexual relationship” talk begins. So sure, as long as the girls talk about it, ABC is clear, because at that point its just speculation. They can’t prove it because there is no proof. It never happened. But, in order to create drama and ratings, they can INSINUATE that “inappropriate behavior” = sex. Hell, most people will probably still think it happened. But notice there won’t be any proof other than the other girls in the house saying there was flirting and Rozlyn was getting preferential treatment by this producer. Which is grounds for firing because he’s not allowed to favor any one girl over the other. And apparently not only did he do that to Rozlyn, but admitted to starting to fall for her. So he was let go.

The ironic thing about all of this is Chris Harrison saying in a radio interview (that you can read here) “it was embarrassing for us, incredibly unfortunate, and horrible decisions were made.” So if it’s so embarrassing for you guys, why are you about to throw two people under the bus and insinuate a sexual relationship when there wasn’t one? Ratings. They know this will get people talking and tune in. Which is fine. But just remember when you do, it’ll all be speculation from the women in the house, and anything you hear out of Chris Harrison’s mouth will never mention anything about a “sexual affair”. He’ll stick with “inappropriate behavior”, or “relations”. Those are much safer because it’s open for interpretation. Well, the interpretation they want the viewers to make is “sex scandal”. What really happened is a producer confided in a contestant things he shouldn’t have, fell for her, and was fired because of it.

So that’s how it was explained to me in a nutshell. Well I guess not a nutshell since it took me 6 paragraphs to explain. I was told when Rozlyn left the show, she figured her exit would be explained as something minor, and it wouldn’t be made a big deal out of. Well, I guess maybe since the rest of the season is so boring, they decided to go with the “lets insinuate a sexual affair between a contestant and crewmember” angle. Hey! That’s never been done before. So there you have it. Once again, you may choose to believe otherwise, but this is the real story to behind what you are going to see Monday night, so just keep an open mind about it when you’re watching. The fact that ABC/Next Entertainment would try to go after ratings at the expense of a single mother and producer just goes to show what type of people we’re dealing with here. Someone is out of a job, and someone was lied to so that they could get her on their stupid show. Ridiculous. Kinda lends a little more credibility to what Megan Parris told us last season, doesn’t it? I can’t wait for Chris Harrison’s blog next week where he claims he’ll talk about it more. Just wait for it because he’ll tell you nothing. Everything will just “allude” to a sexual affair with no proof whatsoever.

I’ll be back tomorrow with a couple more things, but I’ve literally been immersed in this story the last 48 hours gathering details, answering emails, and talking on the phone. I need a break. So maybe it’ll be Thursday, not sure. But I’m sure that’ll hold you over for the time being. Trust me, I’m working on trying to get a hold of Rozlyn to see if she will tell her side of things, or at least confirm what I’ve been told. I’m guessing she will, it’s just a matter of when. It’ll probably be much easier to reach her after Monday’s episode airs, but I can all but assure you (just like Wes last season), ABC is not gonna let her get out there on their network to say, “None of this happened. It’s all a storyline.” She’ll have to find that outlet somewhere else. And what perfect place other than right here at RealitySteve.com. Rozlyn, just know we’d like to hear your side at any time. I’ll keep you updated. Remember, any questions, comments, emails, praises, criticisms, email me at steve@realitysteve.com. Join me on Twitter at: Twitter.com/RealitySteve. I love comparing what you say to what Chris says. You have to think eventually he will get tired of all this and either quit or come out and admit ABC is losing their uncreative minds.

I’ll still be “forced” to watch this season as my wife won’t want to know what happens, but it will be to compare your notes with the script. We both agree Jake is a wimp and we’re tired of his whining about finding true love.

Great update. Can’t wait to see how ABC responds with you outing them before week two even airs!

Wonderful stuff as always Steve. Wow! Vienna? Definitely wouldn’t have seen that coming in a million years…but we’ll see how ABC “cleverly” edits this season.

And the Rozlyn situation is just sickening. I hope you do get ahold of her so she can divulge even more from her perspective. When there is a child involved ABC has seriously gone to the toilet.

This is pathetic. They build an entire season around a man who claims to be a single dad raising his son alone. They never expose the truth about him. Now they use a single mother to further their drama. Shame on ABC !!

So, does anybody else think that this season of the show they are going to “jump the shark”? Or maybe they already did, earlier!

He picks Vienna?! The chick who called herself a “Daddy’s Girl” and said her dad has bought her 5 cars because she keeps wrecking them?! Are you kidding?! I NEVER would have seen that coming!

I am curious to know what happens to Elizabeth since I figured she would be final four for sure….Knowing that he picked Vienna pretty much answers the question to whether this relationship lasts or not….I leaning towards them breaking up before the after the final rose show.

I’ve read on Fans of Reality TV that a member there volunteered with Rozlyn at a homeless shelter serving soup before. He tried to ask her out on a date several times, but was denied since she needed to take care of her child. So this only reinforces what Steve is saying here. I was also told that she has a special needs child, which explains why she can’t leave her child alone for prolonged period of time which the filming of The Bachelor would require. Further corroborating with Steve stating that the producers lied to her.

It’s a real shame, Rozlyn is definitely drop dead gorgeous. Great face, blonde hair, blue eyes, and of course that amazing rack. Definitely wish she could have stayed later. Crap I deleted the first episode from my PVR, big mistake!

So freaking awesome. You’re the man. You need to get this shit on the newswire.

I only wish John Stewart could interview Chris Harrison. He would call him on his shit without fear. The Daily Show rules.

Hi Steve; so glad to have your insightful input for this season!! There is no doubt in my mind that it is accurate. Instead of ABC insulting our intelligence by billing this a reality show, I think it would get just as much attention if it were to be billed accurately….a soap opera!! All My Children has nothing on this bunch!!

I’m surprised with the selection of Vienna as well….sounds like another Elin Woods.

I absolutely believe – but cannot believe – this nonsense. I am truly disgusted by ABC’s actions. Especially revolting is how their promos make it sound like two of the girls (I can’t call them women) are having “relations.” Poor Rozlyn. I’ve (obviously) watched The Bachelor franchise – equating it to sort of a human train wreck that I can’t tear my eyes away from; but this is no longer entertainment – it’s just sad.

    January 6, 2010 at 12:28 PM

Oh, I also meant to say that it’s prety ironic that when ACTUAL human emotions and connections form on the set, it’s snuffed out as quickly and as “hush hush” as possible. Leaving the way clear for all of the phony baloney machinations about “true love” and “right reasons.” YUCK!!!

I wonder if ABC will contact you or sue you or somehow defame you in some way??? not that you give a care – RS – I am duly impressed. So even though I know the outcome – and I dont doubt you for one minute being with you for years and years and years…it’ll be more fun now that we can pay special attention to Vienna. Thanks RS! job well done!

So I wonder if I can take this information to Vegas & place a bet? Also, are you privy to such details as whether Jake & “My Eyes Are Too Close Together” are actually still together? Because in a brief interview I saw of him yesterday, he said that, in the end, you don’t have to actually pick anyone.
And, in my opinion, Rozlyn may have been the best-looking contestant they’ve had… ever (though she does look a bit like Jenna Jameson).
Keep up the awesome work!!! 🙂

OMG Steve, I love you. This is awesome. I was over at another site where they still believe that The Bachelor is real, and that you are part of ABC’s publicity machine. LOL Too funny. I’d like to say that while Jake does look good on TV, the fact that he’s a shrimp, (5’8″ really?) speaks volumes as to why he’s not already married. A few more inches and he’d be married and have kids by now. He probably spends too much time on rooftops jumping rope. If he does pick Vienna, perhaps its for her trust fund. Anyone who wrecks 5 cars must come from some money.

By the way, did Rozlyn really think that ABC would break the supposed no talking on the phone to people at home rule for her? Yes, she is better looking then Ed, but they took enough grief for that last year. She was by far the best looking, so why in the world would she want Jake? So while I do feel sorry for her portrayal on the show, the bottom line is, she went on the show to be seen and further her career, not to meet the love of her life. I also think that the Michelle thing had to be another plant. Perhaps shes looking for an acting career. Either that or she’s just insane and they should put her in a mental hospital upon her exit. Keep up the good work Steve. You are indeed an ABC publicity machine, just not the one they were hoping for.

it is possible fleiss let the leak out for damage control. jake is preaching himself and the girls. there are people believing in him and chris. they would be devastated learning jake picked vienna after months of sleuthing. this shows survives because of fans. if this did not come out, people would have been furious.

after 19 seasons, if you are still wasting time sleuthing this show, you must be really dumb.

Thanks so much Steve! My guess is that Ali really leaves because she realizes what a looser Jake is and she never thought she would actually make it to the final four. The work related story is just a line. The final three are the most childish of all of them. Gia has a weird baby talk thing, Tenley is a nine year old and Vienna is just immature.

Maybe Rozlyn, Wes and any one else that has been screwed by ABC can get together and take these guys down. How are they going to keep her quite on the talk shows next week?

    January 6, 2010 at 2:56 PM

Vienna? Seriously? 🙁 While it’s not real, they could at least give the illusion. lol

Regarding Rozlyn…I think it’s pathetic that ABC feels like they need to hurt moms ~ and their KIDS!! ~ in order to get ratings. 🙁 I’d be sure to get any promises regarding the kiddo in writing….breach of contract works both ways. 😉

Thanks for the spoilers. Trying to decide now if I want to actually watch the rest of the season ~ especially since he picks Vienna. Vienna?!?!?! She reminds me of Erica from Lorenzo’s season. UGH. It’s blondes like that that give the rest of us a bad rap. 🙁

    January 6, 2010 at 3:26 PM

love it steve. so glad i don’t have to actually sit through the entire season of jake being boring and them trying to make this show interesting now.

also – i wanted to let you know that i met someone yesterday who was a sorority sister of Vienna’s and this girl was embarrassed about how they portrayed her. this person told me that Vienna has not had 5 cars and that she doesn’t dress her dog up, etc. and that “she would never say any of that.” so to everyone else out there hating on her – she’s aparantly not really like that.

  23. lemon

    January 6, 2010 at 4:15 PM

So if the sorority sister is telling the truth then Vienna is putting on the Paris Hilton act because the producers told her to? Which means she’s basically doing this for exposure, to get her face on TV, see where it leads. That doesn’t make her sound any better, pretending to be someone she’s not just to be on TV… (I know, NOTHING about this show is sincere.)

Someone claimed Vienna has tried out for multiple reality shows and this is the first one that hired her.

  24. bachshady

    January 6, 2010 at 4:41 PM

wes was asked if he was paid to be top 4. wes did not answer. it means he was paid extra.

steve says for years top contenders are paid. these people stick around for 2 months, kiss ugly frog, and open their families. they won’t do it for free.

that’s probably why ali stayed until F4 and left. many people in the previous seasons probably did the same thing including graham and reid. not that they had any interest in the bachelor/bette.

it is very likely they know who the F1 is at the end of first week. the rest is just a script.

OMG, thank you so much for telling us who wins. this will make the season so much better b/c i won’t start liking one of them and then have her get voted off. and i can already see them setting tenley up to be the next bachelorette!!!

  26. vickyDC

    January 6, 2010 at 5:02 PM

Steve, love the info!! But I think you cheated Elizabeth from DC a little bit. She is a good looking woman and actually came across and smarter than any of the other women I’ve seen on this ridiculous show. Do you have any more info about her? I saw pictures on the ABC site that proved she got one on one time with Jake, but the producers didn’t show it. I also heard from one of the contestants who lives in Chicago that everyone on the set loved Elizabeth from DC and they were baffled that she didn’t make it. Just wondering if you had any other info on her! Thanks!!!

  27. vickyDC

    January 6, 2010 at 5:04 PM

And the info about Vienna is barf city. Seriously, compare Elizabeth from DC to that girl? Let’s get real. Maybe ABC will do something they’ve never done and bring a girl back to be the Bachelorette that was kicked off the first night!

The difference between blogging a story and being a journalist.

Steve, you are running info without (a) acknowledging your source, and (b) having corroborating evidence. Should you manage to confirm in an interview (preferably video) with Rozlyn, then it will lend your story credence. I don’t doubt you have people on the inside, but right now your words are on part with tabloid journalism. Looking for sensationalism without providing proof. Just because you’ve had inside info in the past doesn’t mean you are above doing things legally.

Should you ever prove to be wrong (and really, did you interview ANYONE to offer the other side of Wes’ story last season? Nope, you were too busy getting buddy-buddy) you’d open yourself up to a lawsuit.

This is a terrible intro, notice how they show her not being able to walk straight at the beginning? They’re poking fun at her. Why would they do that to their F1? Hmmm.

The Bachelor recap was very funny. If what you say is true Steve, Walt D. and those associated should be ashamed that the network that promotes itself as a family centered network for taking advantage of single parents. I watch the show for entertainment and because I like the fantasy. So what. I have read how readers laugh at people for believing in the show etc,… but you don’t know how informed those people may or may not be. As long as you feel smarter than others and it gives you a self-esteem boost good for you. Whatever,… It is a tv show so in the grand scheme of things, big deal. Whether it is a tv show or reality tv busting blog it is good entertainment.

For those of you who do NOT believe Steve, why are you here reading his blog? He doesn’t have to reveal who his sources are. Do you honestly think anyone would tell him anything if he went around naming them? Geez, get a clue. If he reveals who spilled the info those people could lose their jobs. Do you think Steve or anyone is going to be responsible for other people losing their incomes? It’s called inside info, he’s got it, now deal with it. No one said you have to believe him, that is your right, but don’t be a jerk because he’s got the info and is using it. Steve is probably helping ABC more then hurting them. Look at all of us idiots who are still watching this stupid show, and all the people who continue to watch these train wrecks. I for one wasn’t going to watch this season, now I’m watching because of Steve.

Dude..you are so seriously sick….I am LOVING this. But I gotta admit…that after ONE night…Vienna? Seriously? And Gia final 4? I may have to re-watch this dang thing….would NOT have put them F4. Glad Ella’s going back to her double wide….

I remember listening to a radio interview with Wes and how he talked about him and Jake being really good friends. The whole “Jake coming back to the show” spill was all about creating drama. In reality a lot of the footage of Wes was edited and it made him look like a bad person. So when he said the producers pick out great matches, he was probably being true. I still think that some of the people are brought onto the show for story lines or that is how they end up. I suppose that is true for Rozlyn. And if you are correct about your predictions, I don’t see Jake and Vienna together. I know he is looking for inside beauty and maybe we have to wait and see what she holds on the inside, but I really don’t see that working out.

Um, wait, I thought journalists were allowed to protect their sources… As for evidence, the proof will be in what happens in the rest of the season. If RS is wrong, he will look like a jackass, so what’s the problem?

Despite the “scandal” surrounding this season, I have no interest in watching it whatsoever. I also do not like Jake at all, so I will just read the recaps/blogs. I have no idea what Vienna looks like, so I just picture Jake ending up with a giant sausage.

If they really let Rozlyn go as RS has stated, I hope she can finally be the one to send this ridiculous show to its grave. All you need is one person who is so pissed off at ABC that they are willing to be sued, hoping that the bad publicity will reveal the “man behind the curtain” pulling the strings. Then all the famewhores will have to find some other show to go on.

Thank you RS, for saving me from wasting any more of my time, watching this garbage! it used to be my “guilty pleasure”, but no way…never again…last season the attraction was seeing vancouver, whistler and the the train trip through the rockies…this season offers nothing…just dull, boring and unexciting loosers…

Vienna ?? Yuck. Is she the shortest b’ette there ?? I was really hoping no one would accept a proposal from fake Jake. I think I can watch this ridiculous show now, without barfing.

I wonder how long this will last ….. AND what Jake was promised for picking her. I’m sure she’s a good Christian woman !! [??]

Thanks, RS, for all your time.

Steve, I adore you but I don’t put it past Fleiss to set you up with a source or a “mole” and feed you information this season… Be careful Steve..

    bigpoppaevil :

Ok so have you ever read a tabloid or newspaper that really acknowledges its source?? Come on!! Seriously!! And as for evidence, well there are serveral other tabloids and new outlets reporting on this story now, and no one else is required to show “corroborating evidence”.

Sheshh… this is a freaking TV show!! Steve isn’t reporting the news… he’s here to provide entertainment and to pull some of those dense people in the dark out to show them the light of “reality TV”

And as for last season.. Hello we you not reading.. Steve interviewed a few of the other men… and they came to Wes’s defense! Its people like you, who take the world way too seriously and #^&% on others fun and entertainment!

Vienna! you have got to be kidding!!!! if this is true Jake has really bad taste and judgement, she is the immature, self-centered and the least attractive girl on the show 🙁

well Steve i am proud of you,It just goes to show you what this show is all about.First Rozlyn needs to come forward.Secondly I hope this Vienna girl is not the air head she seems to be,all acting I am sure and bottom line i just hope it lasts.Jake appears to be a nice guy and fairly intelligent could see past all the nonsense of this show.I feel Tenley would have been a better choice but didn’t act like an airhead. When this show is over and hopefully each will find what they really want, life is much too short to waste.Good luck to all of them. Thank’s Steve

    @bachshady

The contestants definitely get paid. During last season my friend and I signed her boyfriend up to be on the show, knowing they would probably call him, because he is 6’5″, built, all american guy. Anywho, we were right, a producer called him and offered him $10K if he agreed to stay for 6 weeks of filming next March for the next Bachelorette (even though no one has a clue who that Bachelorette is yet). Doesn’t sound like a ton but that was just the starting offer, and who knows what you get if you stay until the end. They knew he had a girlfriend, he just had to portray from now on that he didn’t. In the end, he declined the offer for obvious reasons. Pretty funny though.

Rozlyn has given an interview with Radar Online and she states that she did not have a sexual relationship with anyone.

I wonder whether the producers of this show will do any creative editing to try to discredit this information? I’m not sure what they could do about changing the people who were actually the F4, unless they reshot quite a bit of it… but wouldn’t put it past them to do something.

I didn’t watch the first episode because it didn’t sound interesting… Jake just doesn’t seem interesting. If I keep reading this blog I may have to watch just to see for myself!

I wonder how some of them can follow the producers, unless they want to be actresses and just kiss up to them. Definitely surprised at how Jason could have pulled off that stunt, he must have been told he would get a “status update” in a few weeks where he could make the switch to molly. Surprised at why Deanna would choose Jesse, perhaps she didn’t want to marry either guy and just wanted to be famous. I think most contestents want to please the producers so they can get famous. Heck, that is why RW has all the drunks because they know the audience wants drama and don’t want to be boring.

Steve, you’ve indicated that certain contestants are offered top 6 or top 4 in advance. Clearly, this doesn’t apply to everybody. Some are sent packing the first night. I’m curious as to whether everybody is in on the scam. Are some contestants genuine hopefuls who have no idea the show is scripted, or is everyone just playing a part for a predetermined amount of cash? Since Ryan and Trista actually ended up getting married, I have to assume the franchise was once reasonably legit but has since degenerated into a soap opera peopled only by wanna be actors and famewhores. Thanks for the scoop. I’ll be reading your column each week instead of watching. Your take on the show is much more palatable than what Fleiss is serving up.

Also, I think its being a bit nit-picky on the Chris Harrison quote, yes he does seem to be an accomplist to these behind the scenes manufacturing, but with regards to the Jason/Melissa breakup, it wasn’t public knowledge, so she may have felt compelled or contractually obligated to end the relationship on video at the AFTR taping. After all, they were publicly still together, and while in the past the “happy couple” smiles for the cameras, it became clear that Jason/Fleiss wanted to end it without the fake coupling.

But I understand that Melissa was angry and felt manipulated, specifically by the producers, who wanted this twist ending and pushed Jason to make the switch. It was someone close to Melissa who leaked the e-mails to get her side of the story and I totally understand that Fleiss thought he had a shoe-in for the next Bachelorette but he really hurt Melissa’s feelings.

As for Wes, I understand that he too is angry for being manipulated, but is it that bad being notorious? He is a publicity-hound and wants to sell records. I would say Fleiss did Wes a huge favor by making him such a huge story. Perhaps ABC can give Wes some hush money or spot on a talk show.

Good stuff RS, I’ve been following you since I heard about you on a Bachelor blog on ABC (I wonder if they allow your name or initials to be mentioned on that nowadays lol?). I agree with the comment Kiki made about Rozalyn’s own intentions for coming on the show, I don’t know that I feel bad for her, I’m sure she will get some good publicity out of it and got a nice free trip out of it too 😉 I’m leaning towards most people forgetting about this so-called scandal and her reputation remaining intact.
I do have one question for you (perhaps you’ve addressed this before)…I’m curious about how you know you can trust your sources…how do you know that ABC doesn’t have a mole who is feeding you incorrect information just to f*#$! with you? You have a proven track record and I don’t doubt any of what you’ve said but I can’t help but wonder…does that make you nervous?
