Moving on to the Michelle bashing. I mean, we all saw it. Do I believe Michelle deserved to be attacked the way she did? Of course not. Could stuff that she have said turned people off during the show? Without a doubt. But c’mon. It’s been four months since that happened. If you still hold a grudge over something like that (Jackie, Sarah, and Stacey), then you’ve got problems. Get over it. You can question why she said some of the stuff she said, sure, but the way they went after her pretty much goes back to the thing I say 1,000 times when it comes to this show: IT’S A TELEVISION SHOW. I guarantee there were some women up there who went on with an agenda, went on in efforts to try and get on “Bachelor Pad 2”, so they did what they did to try and make a name for themselves, and it came at the expense of Michelle. That was brutal. If Stacey or Jackie don’t get cast on BP2, well, I hope that act they pulled at the taping was worth it to them. Michelle had every right to get questioned for stuff she said. But to carry on like that? Please.
Pretty much the same goes for the Raichel/Melissa feud. I’m sorry, but you cannot convince me that someone (Raichel) is still that incensed over Melissa four months after the fact. Especially when Raichel kept constantly saying last night that every time Melissa was around, she’d try and remove herself from the situation. Yet four months later she can’t wait to jump down her throat again? Bizarre. I’m sure Raichel is trying her hardest for a BP2 spot as well because that’s the only explanation I can come up with for that nonsense. She pretty much admitted as much to People.com when they talked to her after the taping. Here was her quote:
“I hope they see from tonight that I would be a great candidate for that show,” Rachel said. “My doctor would be happy to turn this $11,000 boob job into a $20,000 one after I win.”
Nice. Very classy. And honestly, I was kinda surprised Melissa even got called up in to the hot seat. Yes, I’m aware they had a spat in the house, but geez, these girls lasted two episodes. Really? It’s like the tree falling in the forest theory: If Melissa and Raichel are still bickering about each other, does anybody hear it? Or care? I certainly didn’t. They were non-factors this season. Spend time putting Shawntel on the hot seat or something. I was shocked that a final four girl like she was said NOTHING on the show last night. Barely a word from her all night and, lets face it, she was a character that a lot of people talked about this season. Surprised by that.
So was Michelle being real with her tears and hyperventilating or was she just acting? I thought all her ITM comments during the show was an acting job and just her showing her sarcastic, playful, humorous side. I said it all season that I found her entertaining and could tell she was just playing it up for the cameras. But last night, you could tell that I don’t think she realized her behavior would piss that many people off. So I think she was genuinely bothered by the way people perceived her and that wasn’t an acting job up on stage. However with that said and even though she is TV gold, after how much she went on and on and on last night about doing the show for the right reasons and feeling guilty for leaving her daughter, if she shows up on BP2, well then, I think she deserves any criticism you want to give her. It’s one thing for her to say she went on the “Bachelor” for the right reasons, and to find love, and truly wants to be married again some day and have kids. But then you can’t get up there, cry about leaving your daughter, then months later, leave her again to film yourself getting drunk, partying it up, and hooking up with a guy for three weeks on BP2. I think it would be highly hypocritical of her to do what she did last night, then appear on BP2. I don’t see how she can expect people to believe her sincerity if she does.
