There will be some spoilers of the women this season in this column. You’ve been warned.
I think it’s time we all stand up and applaud the Sonoma News for sneaking around with a video camera and photographer, and pissing off ABC’s filming of the “Bachelor” last week that they’re “publicist” is sending threatening voice mails to them. You can read all about it right here:
But most importantly, you need to watch this video. If this video doesn’t show you how uptight and paranoid the powers that be on this show are, then I don’t know what does. Classic.
I don’t know what my favorite part was: the “Bachelor” film crew getting all snotty because someone was following them around with a camera, the hilarious voice message that the ABC rep left on the answering machine threatening they won’t give them access to interviews or help them in the future, or the fact that producers are telling onlookers to scram. Jesus. Calm down people. Just like the guy said, it IS a public place. You’re out in the middle of a freakin’ plaza. I’m guessing fans have a right to walk by and take pictures. What a bunch of elitist snobs the “Bachelor” people are.
No actually, I think my favorite part of this whole video is the guy who is doing the voiceover. Whatever that guy is making, it’s not nearly enough. Hell, screw Scott Pelley, this guy should be promoted to “60 Minutes” next week. What outstanding journalism keeping his camera running when he wasn’t supposed to, getting under the skin of all the producers, then doing a 2 minute and 30 second “documentary” basically making fun of the whole thing. Awesome. He might be my new hero. Congrats to the Sonoma News for all the info throughout the first week of filming. That video will go down as one of the all timers. Anything that pisses off ABC and gets their panties in a bunch is all right by me.
