-Next part of the show was bringing up three different girls to the hot seat: Sharleen, Renee, and Andi. Nothing too memorable here.
Sharleen: Basically just said that there was nothing there with him outside of the physical aspect, but was one of the few who defended him saying their conversations weren’t all THAT bad. Ok, so it’s like he had “F” conversations with the other girls but those with Sharleen were like a “D+.” Maybe a “C-.” Gotcha. Chris then even asked her about the comment she made about “wishing she was dumber.” Sharleen: “I think too much…I have sleepless nights…I can’t shut it off.” Essentially saying she wishes she didn’t overanalyze things as much as she does and would’ve just gone with the flow. Of course, no mention of the fact that she really left the show because of a major performance in Germany that she wasn’t gonna skip out on. I’m sure Sharleen enjoyed her time on the show, she obviously made some good friends, and hey, maybe she even enjoyed Juan Pablo’s company for a little bit. But lets not pretend that her exit from the show was really this internal struggle she was having with herself. She had a concert and she needed to leave. Period.
Renee: It was kinda pointless listening to Renee up there on the hot seat, because really, does anyone care to hear her talk about a broken relationship from 4 months ago when she’d already moved on, and just days after filming that, got engaged in Seattle? I certainly didn’t. All the talk about Ben, and how he treated her being a mother, and her dates, and their kissing – pointless. She was probably over it 4 seconds after returning home, then 23 seconds after that she was reconnecting with a dude she’s known since she was 12, and three months later they’re engaged. Makes perfect sense to me, no? The streak continues. The number of women in the 18 seasons of this show that immediately run back to ex’s once they’re dumped on this show is mind boggling. And if you think that just happens to be coincidental, you might want to think a liiiiiitle harder. This is an ego blow to pretty much most women that don’t end up “winning,” so finding someone immediately following is their way of kinda showing America, “Look. See? Someone does like me and I am capable of being loved.” It’s ok. No need to prove anything to us, because frankly, we don’t care.
Andi: Of course all anyone wanted to know with Andi was what happened in the fantasy suite that made her so upset. She said it wasn’t just one thing, but a culmination of things. He kept talking about his soccer, and his traveling, and who he knew, etc. Also said he had a lot of negativity about the whole process, which doesn’t surprise me. When you don’t know how the show works whatsoever because you’d never watched an episode of it before you showed up on Des’ season, then you’re thrown into the lead role, expectations are put on you, and every single thing you say, tweet, write, and speak is being looked at through a magnifying glass, coupled with the fact that English is your second language, yeah, I would say he probably did feel a little overwhelmed by it all. But that’s ABC fault for casting someone that naïve in the lead role, and his fault as well for not fully understanding what the lead of this show entails.
Keep something in mind about last night’s show. That wasn’t Andi’s audition to be the “Bachelorette.” I told you on Feb. 20th she was the “Bachelorette,” which was a day before that filming took place. So if I knew on Feb. 20th, Andi knew before that. That whole taping she already knew she was gonna be the “Bachelorette” so she didn’t need to audition for it in any way. The role was already hers. There was zero other viable candidates from this cast. She’s going to be the 10th “Bachelorette,” and EVERY one of them finished in the top 4 of their respective season. So subtracting Nikki since she “won,” that only left Clare, Andi, and Renee as candidates. We know the final 2 girl has only gotten it once, and that was Trista. And that’s back in 2004 when the shooting schedule was completely different. Due to when the “Bachelorette” films now, it will be impossible for the final 2 girl to ever be the “Bachelorette.” They would have to change the shooting schedule for it to happen, and they’ve kept the same schedule for the last 5 seasons, so I have no idea why they’d change now. Renee got a boyfriend when she got back, so that only left Andi. Which is why I told you back in November that the gig was gonna be hers.
-Juan Pablo came out and had to take some from the girls, and rightfully so. Here’s the thing though. Every girl confronted him with a valid point. Every girl said what they needed to say. Andi told him she didn’t think he was looking for a wife. Lauren told him she wished he would’ve been more honest with the girls. Cassandra confronted him about their date. You know what his response was to everyone? “Yeah, ok.” You know why? Because he doesn’t care. He never did. And that was their whole issue with him. At least PRETEND like you’re invested somewhat in the process, but he never was. And I don’t buy at all that this is just sour grapes from the girls that weren’t chosen. If one or two voiced their displeasure, then yeah. You had a girl get to the final three who had an overnight date with him say he didn’t care. And pretty much everyone else up there did as well. I’m sure he’s a nice guy and means well, but put in this role, it was something he was totally unprepared for, had no idea how to act or how to carry himself, and this was the result you get. Before you ever saw your first promo for the show, let alone ABC release any of the 27 women’s bios, I told you that the rumblings were he was not well liked in the house by many, and all season, the proof was right there. It was finally summed up last night. I don’t know why some people have a hard time accepting the fact that he was just a crappy “Bachelor” who didn’t care. Probably has something to do with me being right again. People out there just hate when that happens and I have no idea why it bothers them so much.
-The only person whose grievance Juan Pablo actually responded to was Kelly’s who told him she didn’t appreciate the comments he made towards gay people, since her father is gay. Then Juan Pablo ripped out his cue cards, and ran the same company line he’s been spewing for months, and that’s that he loves the gays, he even has friends that are gay, and that what he said was taken out of context. Ummmm, no it wasn’t. This wasn’t a written report we saw. It wasn’t the last few words of a long answer or something like that. The whole thing was caught on audio. We heard the reporters question and heard your entire answer. Nothing was lost in translation. Nothing was taken out of context. You gave a horrible answer that someone in your position never should’ve given. And just stop already with the “I have gay friends” defense. It’s literally making your defense of what you said even that much weaker. Hey, at least Andi speaks English as a first language so we won’t be bogged down with any of this nonsense next season.
