How about that snapchat Kaitlyn sent and has since deleted? In bed with Shawn Booth. She is certainly unlike any Bachelorette thus far.

what’s the deal with the snapchat thing? So is she really with Shawn B? so RS is wrong again??

also why are they making such a huge deal of Kaitlyn letting Nick onto the season….hasn’t this happened before? and why is it that sometimes old contestants just show up and sometimes the lead has a choice. Didn’t Shantal pop up on Ben’s season and Kacie B on Sean’s season..I guess did Sean have a say in that..but didn’t Shantal just show up and same with Mary onto Byron’s season. I guess he didn’t know her before but Sean knew Kacie B.

Also isn’t it clear Nick is there for Kaitlyn? and he was totally into Andi. If anyone says he’s there for fame or just to be on TV then how is it any different then ALL the contestants on the show…they’re all on the show just like Nick is. I think if the other guys are confident in their relationship with Kaitlyn they shouldn’t be so insecure and not want Nick on there. They should be glad Nick’s there so they can see how Kaitlyn feels about them even with Nick there.

I don’t get how Kaitlyn allowing Nick to come on the show is disrespectful. What if Nick was chosen as a contestant by the producers…would that be disrespectful? It just all seems like jealousy to me cuz they can prob tell she really likes him. I mean she’s dating so many guys already, he’s just one more and it’s the 4th week in not like down to 2 guys or something. I mean really the other guys have had more time to hang out with her than Nick has. Also isn’t it obvious the producers set this up. I think they decided exactly when they wanted Nick to pop up. They are always pulling all kinds of weird stuff on this show what’s the big deal. I wish the guys would just admit they don’t like it cuz it’s more competition and not that it’s disrespectful.

I can see why the guys were tricked out about Kaitlyn accepting Nick onto the show, and as a viewer also. I think the guy Shawn expressed it the best. If she really believes (as she’s been saying all along, tho not very convincingly) that she believes her future husband is right there in the room, why does she need to bring in another guy?

As a viewer who knows the two of them had more than just “a handful” of conversations before Nick showed up, and as anyone reading her blog could surmise – she knew him fairly well beforehand. Unless she hardly has any friends, to make someone your “go to” guy “for advice,” you know them pretty well and vice versa.

The show is supposed to be about finding love from among this hand-picked group of guys – not finessing-in, mid-season, a guy friend you have the hots for, who lives a few thousand miles away from you, for free travel, free adventures, and creating good TV that will benefit the careers (I guess!) of both of them. That’s Nick.

I was surprised to hear Steve say, he thinks Kaitlyn’s comments sound genuine and different. You mean when she says, “I really DO believe my future husband is right here in this room,” or “I’ve made so many connections with guys here,” (said in a monotone as if reading) and so on ad infinitum; she sounds genuine? Fresh and not what we’re used to hearing?

And the whole JJ/Clint thing – all of it sounded so scripted, like bad actors auditioning for a part on an MTV show. Including Kaitlyn. And with it, once again, the show scraped the bottom of the barrel, suggesting that a gay guy (JJ, as evidenced by the dark blue bandana right pocket display) came on the show apparently to ‘convert’ a straight guy. Right. True to the old stereotype. That’s what gays do…… Watch out because they want to convert straight men……. Then after Kaitlyn gives JJ a stern talking to, JJ is then straightened out and says, “I’m not here to find a boyfriend. I’m here to find a girlfriend.” Fortunately, the acting was so unbelievably bad on the 3 of their parts – JJ, Clint, and Kaitlyn – I doubt many viewers saw that portrayal as anything but scripted and coached.

I agree the whole thing with JJ, Clint and Kaitlyn was embarrassing to watch and so obviously fake. It also makes you realize just how homophobic many of the powers that be on that show are. Pathetic really. And a new low for the show.

Kaitlyn still reminds me of Miley Cyrus. As someone else mentioned, the fish lips and talking through the nose thing, along with her antics in general.

I was rewatching this clip on Ryan Seacrest’s show with Kaitlyn and Britt and it’s not surprising producers pushed for Kaitlyn to be the chose one. No doubt they thought it would make for more interesting TV. But I’m finding myself bored a lot of the time. One thing I’ve liked about previous bachelorettes is that unlike the chosen bachelors, a number of them do get married because they were genuine about wanting a serious relationship. But Kaitlyn is a caricature of some of their worst starring bachelors so no wonder I’m getting bored. Because those bachelors – Ben, Juan Pablo, Chris, etc. were bad actors not worthy of so much air time. And many of us knew they weren’t going to settle down with anyone they met because it was never what they wanted either.

@nora I agree. I don’t think it’s disrespectful at all to let Nick stay. If Kaitlyn is meant to be with anyone already there (which we know she isn’t) she could bring in 10 Nicks and it wouldn’t change anything. She probably wanted him there from the start but they made her wait for all the added drama it created. People are making entirely too big of a deal out of it, in my opinion.

I think if this was a normal season, with a normal Bachelorette that actually wanted to participate in the show we’ve known for the past 15 years, then it would be a travesty.

But the only thing THIS show has in common with the previous shows is the name. This particular season has strayed so far away from the original premise that it’s silly to expect anything to be “the usual”.

People have to take it for what it is, not what we expected it to be. I don’t personally care for this version, but that’s on me. YMMV.

That’s the snapchat video. There’s no doubt in my mind that is Shawn B. with Kaitlyn. I might have doubted a teeny bit if they didn’t speak, but that’s them.

Surprised at anyone who thinks thats NOT shawn or kaitlyn in the video. its quite clear its Shawn, and half of Kaitlyn’s face does make a quick appearance. Based on the amount of Shawn’s facial hair, it was not taken during filming. So maybe Steve was partially right. She turns down Nick, but tells Shawn to take it slow? Or maybe they re-started things after she turns him down? who knows with this crazy, manipulative show.

purplerayne, yep, this is a crazy manipulative show. I am done with it because most of the participants are not looking for love. Of course, there might be a few lucky ones that made it through post-show. Surprised that viewers know what’s going on but they still watch and the producers know that. The producers can do most anything they want but viewers are going to keep watching…happy trails guys

I only watched the leaked snapchat video once but didn’t it look like Shawn took that video…isn’t he like looking straight into the camera while Kaitlyn is lying down and busying talking about something.

Maybe SHAWN posted that video on purpose and tried to make it look like an accident on Kaitlyn’s part. I think he’s sick of people thinking she is with Nick or single.

I dont use snapchat, but arent these videos in real time, meaning its not possible for this to be a saved video (from their overnight fantasy date, as some fans are claiming). ahhh, wish steve would hurry up and chime in!!! 🙂

There are some apps which can post pre-recorded vids to snapchat but I believe this is an accident. The show is doing some damage control on social media. kind of funny.
I am eager to hear RS’s explanation.

Steve probably doesn’t know anything more than what we know, and saw in that video.

The show finished filming quite a while back and I can’t imagine they send a babysitter to live with Kaitlyn and monitor her hookups.

At this point, any additional info he may get will be just luck. And I’m sure he’ll pass it on if he does.

Maybe she’s dating both guys? or (as evidenced) just Shawn. I mean Kaitlyn walking away totally single and rejecting both guys just doesn’t sound right….kind of like when Steve said Brooks was coming back.

I used to like Shawn but after this episode I think he’s a D-bag. He’s just jealous because he actually has competition now. I think he thought he was the frontrunner so this is why he’s bugged by Nick’s arrival. He obviously didn’t think the other guys were competition. But he has no right to react this way. This is how the show works. You compete with other guys for Kaitlyn. And it’s stupid how the guys keep asking why now that he comes on the show…I’m sure the producers set it up that way.

  20. rob22

I’m not sure how everyone is keeping all these guys straight. They all run together to me. I group of douchenozzles & rageaholics and a group of zero personalities. I can only identify them by their group at this point….. except JJ “the gay guy” and Nick Cialis ” the new slimeball guy”. Those are the only guys who have stood out enough for me to remember their names.

As for the guys’ reactions. I guess when you’re in your 20s such things might bother you. The testosterone gets flowing & it comes out in aggressive & brainless ways. But logically speaking, wasting your time venting about that stuff is not going to help you in any way. You just look like a douche on TV and end up getting cut by Kaitlyn.

Can’t wait to get RS’s take on the latest black douchenozzle. I don’t know his name either, but I know what category he fits into. Wow. “I’m a model. I have lots of sex. My ex-girlfriend was way hotter. Kaitlyn is just the plow the fields girl.” What a total hammer job on Kaitlyn by that douche. Normally the black guys are just kind of “there”. Two of the three ended up leaving in a rage. (Which is another bad stereotype the show is putting up). The other black guy was super cool, though he kind of set off my gay-dar. I wish Kaitlyn would have kept him around a little longer.

Dying to know what Steve has to say about this. After seeing Kaitlyn’s one on one date with Shawn yesterday and the whole snapchat situtation it really seems like she is with Shawn…I can’t imagine how she leaves single…and even if she’s not with least Nick cuz she seems to like him a lot too. I mean I could see Chris Soules leaving single as he wasn’t really in love with any of the women but not Kaitlyn. Unless something weird happens…but the whole snapchat leak disproves this.

Oh please. Ian obviously didn’t actually say a lot of those things. He’s just their next chosen villain. Most of the over the top nonsense producers had him supposedly spout was done off camera, clearly words spliced together and as fake as JJ and Clint’s supposed romance. And they did have Ian talk a LOT off camera – how convenient.

Ian was right in the part where the camera actually shows him speaking to her directly – Kaitlyn’s behaviour shows she isn’t ready to settle down with anyone. And he’s right for questioning her motives for bringing Nick in late. Ian is smarter than some of the other guys, especially the frat boys, and good for him for wanting to leave.

The irony is how Kaitlyn got angry earlier when the guys didn’t tell her how they really felt – she insisted on absolute honesty above all else. Then when someone tells her what they really feel and think, she gets even angrier. She’s immature and a hypocrite and as self-involved as Nick is (who likes nothing better than to talk about himself). It’s just unfortunate we didn’t get to hear the full real conversation between Miley Cyrus, I mean Kaitlyn, and Ian. The spliced together parts were silly and obviously created by producers.

There are multiple apps you can use to upload a video or photo to snapchat after the fact but you have to actively do that, there’s no way to do it on accident unless you “sat on your phone” and hit all the correct buttons and somehow it magically uploaded it. I find it hard to believe she would have done that. Was her snapchat something fans knew about? Or did someone get a hold of it and then spread the video? I’ve seen the screenshots but didn’t watch the actual video and it did look like Shawn, but I haven’t actually been watching this season.

It’s possible Steve is still correct and she started dating Shawn again after the show stopped filming. Maybe the producers told her to not pick anyone even though she wanted to, or maybe she wasn’t ready to get engaged and picked no one, but still wanted to date one of them. Maybe she and Shawn talked about it in the fantasy suite and that’s why they’re back together? It does seem kinda weird but I feel like Steve is correct because there was an interview with Kaitlyn where they asked her if she found love and got engaged in the end and she hesitated and said “I think it ended how it should have” which was kind of a strange answer. Steve usually posts an article around 2 est so here’s hoping it isn’t delayed again!
