Bachelorette JoJo Spoilers

The “Bachelor” Finale Recap Incl Exclusive on Five of JoJo’s Guys & One Location They’re Headed This Season

You know what I’m gonna do to celebrate this season? I’ll give you one guess. That’s right. One. Shouldn’t be hard considering I do this at least 3 to 4 times a year. That’s right. Vegas time. Will be there in 2 weeks, but hey, this one is also for my niece Olivia. Remember before Christmas when I threw it out there I needed some help in creative design for Olivia’s Xmas gift? Well since she’s obsessed with all things Paris and Eiffel Tower, but we’re not ready to take her to the real Paris, France, I decided to do the next best thing and got my sister and her family two nights at Paris in Vegas. And of course I’d never pass up the opportunity to go myself, so I’m meeting them there along with my mom (her Xmas gift as well), then I’m gonna stay a couple extra days once they leave. I’ve never stayed at Paris before so I figured I would this time so I don’t have to cab it over to meet with them every day. Of course when they leave, I’m moving hotels but that’s because I’m a hotel snob. You should know that by now. Two things I’m a snob about: Flying and hotels. Not that I have to fly first class, I just have to sit exit row. Need leg room. And hotels I just need my space. If you remember the room I was in when I Periscoped back in August, yeah. Same one this time once the family leaves. I don’t wanna say I deserve it, but – I deserve it. Treat yo’ self.

The blogs are up for everyone to read. First we have Ben’s final blog of the season recapping last night. Chris Harrison’s pointless blog is also now up where he gives us nothing. In addition, JoJo did an interview with People about her thoughts on being the “Bachelorette.” Riveting. But probably the best blog of them all is Nell Kalter’s Vanderpump Rules recap. It’s stellar as always, so check all those out.

Don’t forget to get your “Reader Emails” and “Dr. Reality Steve” emails in for the final edition until May this week. Right now, I believe I have four “Dr. Reality Steve” emails so lets pump that up to 50. Or 100. Kidding. You know the drill. Get your emails in as these will be the last until the week of the “Bachelorette” premiere on May 23rd. Staring next week will be the return of “Daily Links” along with giving you any spoilers I get on JoJo’s filming which I believe begins Thursday night.

Ratings are in from last night and, as expected, the finale was the most watched episode of the season drawing 9.5 million viewers, with a 2.8 rating. The ATFR drew 9.25 million with a 2.7 rating. In comparison, Chris’ finale last year did almost the exact same numbers with 9.5 tuning in to the finale and a 2.7 rating, with 9.6 million watching the ATFR with a 2.7 rating. So once again, like this show or not, it draws eyeballs every season no matter who is the lead. I’d say ABC is thrilled with those numbers.

I’m sure you saw over the weekend some former contestants snapping and Instagramming pics together as they were filming “Celebrity Family Feud” again to air later this summer. It was the guys vs girls as the teams were: Tanner, Shawn, Cupcake, Ben Z., Ben H. vs. Jade, Kaitlyn, Andi, Ashley I., Sarah Herron and I’m sure Steve Harvey talks over all of them, overlaughs, and makes the show all about himself.

You catch SNL this past weekend with Ariana Grande? If you didn’t, you missed them skewering Lace during “Weekend Update.” Not only does Cecily Strong look like Lace, but she has the impression nailed down as well. Check it out:

We all remember Brady from Kaitlyn’s season, right? He went after Britt, they dated a while then she broke his heart and he wrote songs about it? Well, his album is now available to view right here if you want to listen to some of the songs he wrote ater the show:

Would you help me finish my record? As an indie artist without management or a major label backing, I’ve decided to lean into the true heroes, the listeners, and ask for your support. By pledging and pre-ordering any exclusive item at you will help us finish the last half of this record as well as get an all access pass to exclusive behind the scenes footage and updates. This rare, limited time give-away includes 2 songs in their current, unfinished form (“Let You Go” & “Love On My Mind”) as well as a live track of one of the songs (“Bleed”). I decided to release this FREE “PledgeMusic Sampler”, so you could see behind the curtain and hear a few songs before they’re even fully finished. We can’t do it without you. Much LOVE!

-Brady Toops

P.S. And for Reality TV fans: even though I didn’t find love on ABC’s Season 11 of “The Bachelorette”, this record came out of that experience. Sometimes life works out the way you want it to, and sometimes it doesn’t. Yet I’ve often found that the best music comes through experiences of great love as well as experiences of great pain. This record chronicles the last season of my life where, like never before, I’ve known what it means to love, as well as to lose. Maybe you’ve felt the same things. Maybe these songs are just as much yours as they are mine. May they add something beautiful to your life. I can’t wait to show you the rest of the album. Wishing you only the best.

And your final poll question of the season. Simple and straightforward. What’d you think of the season?

Congrats on another season Steve. AS always, was fun.

Also, I do think picking JoJo was a better option. She is just the type of girl guys will battle over to try to win. She is that awesome.

Also, while JoJo might look like an all-American girl, and not ethnic, she offers the franchise the same thing Caila does, which is a girl who is 50% minority. Caila is Filipino, and JoJo is Iranian. So either way it is a franchise first, and I expect them to play that up in the build up to the season, the first night, and when family is involved.

JoJo will be my favorite bach’ette since Ali, and maybe even since Trista.

Awesome spoiling for some deadly dull people sleep-walking through a boring season. Steve’s goodies (And Mandi’s audition video) were the only real bright spots.

Joelle has 3 cuties, Chad who needs to leave the first night and the stunt-cast, Jordan. I’m already annoyed with Jordan with the long face and that hair. Shawn Booth 2.0.

I don’t think the ethnic/diverse/racial thing is even going to be brought up again. Nobody really cares anyway. It was a “thing” last month, but people got bored and moved on. As they always do.

    More cute guys!

Thank you for the spoilers! I enjoy reading them.

I was hoping JoJo would be the next Bachelorette. She is beautiful, outspoken, feisty, vivacious, down-to-earth and yet relatable/”safe” for the general American population (a theme for many Bachelorette picks).

From this group of women, I think she’s more interesting because of her personality, her background story with Ben as you pointed out, and her family (half-Iranian and a reminder of Desiree’s season with the “crazy brothers”).

Though Middle Easterners are classified as white (USA census), she has reportedly had to defend her mother’s background from stereotypes. With the current affairs of American politics regarding race, religion, and women’s rights among other hot topics in a presidential election year, I found it interesting that America’s newest Bachelorette is a half-Iranian Southern belle from Texas. (So I guess Jubilee’s not the only one who is “complicated”?)

Looking forward to reading more spoilers and watching the next season with JoJo.

It’s pretty funny about JoJo and some thinking she’s “diverse”. It’s funny because Persian people are considered Caucasian. Ehhhh, not really that diverse, especially since most would consider her a standard white person anyway.

But I personally prefer JoJo by a wide margin. She has more personality in her big toe than Caila does in her whole body. As RS notes, they can survive a boring lead, since the rest of the cast injects the personality. But it’s certainly a lot better when the lead isn’t a dullard like Farmer Fred or Des, bless her uninteresting heart. I always said she’s make a great wife and bad TV. Kind of the opposite of the Kardashians. Farmer Fred is an epic fail on all fronts. How they picked that stuttering simpleton, I have no idea.

Good job RS on spoiling the season. I think he’s got things rolling so that mistakes are far less likely than they were 2-3 years ago. His site is well known, so he probably gets fed a lot of info that he didn’t get a while back. That’s called building a solid brand when everyone knows who you are and what you do.

On to the next. This dog is dead. Let’s kick some dirt on it and move on.

Oh, one thing about JoJo. I considered it a deal breaker when a girl called me “Babe”. Highly annoying. She needs to break that little habit or she’s going to drive me crazy as The Bachelorette. If she starts calling all her F4 guys “Babe”, I’m going to flat out lose it. It’s the vernacular of the white trailer trash of the south & would really take the show to a new low. Not that they don’t keep digging out a bottom that doesn’t seem to be there, of course. Kaitlyn certainly proved that last year.

Rob, Caucasian is the dumbest term in describing an ethnic group in the world. It makes zero sense, since it is used to describe white Europeans, Palestinians, Iranians, Turks and many other ethnic group that are not remotely the same.

For a country comprised of over 2/3 of white European descent, 50% Iranian is diverse.

    Hey Steve.

thanks for another great season of recaps. So glad JoJo is the next B’ette and not Calia. I would have been bored out of my skull.

Really weird – I am an Aussie long time viewer of the show and the finale episode aired here a few hours after the US. However, it didn’t include ANY announcement regarding Jojo? There was no Bachelorette interview and I thought it was weird when I was watching and was confused as to how everyone else found out! Happy it is Jojo over Caila though Caila would have been boring boring boring.
As for Ben, he was ok until the finale two episodes. The “love you” were over done, he said it constantly in those final episodes and it seemed very scripted and over produced.

I actually liked Des’s season. It had plenty of emotional conflict. Especially when Brooks dumped her. I’m glad she found happiness with Chris. I didn’t find her season boring in the least.
But “Farmer Chris’s” season was only a step above the Juan Pablo disaster! I bet the producer of “The Bachelor” were licking his wounds big time after those two travesties and that’s why we got Ben. Have fun on your Vacation, RS!!!

@crushonspivey: OK, staying on this current topic, rather than ethnic definitions, which I agree can be overly broad, does anything about JoJo scream “diverse” Bachelorette? Until the hometowns, if we hadn’t researched ethnic backgrounds, would we have known that JoJo wasn’t of European descent? The point is, she’s not a diverse Bachelorette. I have a friend that’s part Cherokee Indian. He has a slightly darker complexion, but nobody would guess that he’s part Indian. I had known him 10 years before he told me. To be “diverse” it has to be noticeable. Otherwise, it’s just a box check on some HR form that nobody knows or cares about.
