-On the morning of the Alex/Chad 2-on-1 date before they leave, Chad gets up in Jordan’s face again for whatever reason and says “You think I can’t find you when this is over” or something to that effect. That essentially put the nail in his coffin. Granted, he was going home even if he didn’t say that, but now JoJo has some ammo to use against him since you knew that’d be brought to her attention. Lets be clear again about 2-on-1 dates. These are purposely done and are almost always done with two people the lead knows she’ll never pick. But for dramatic purposes, it’s usually two people in the house that don’t get along. Hence, Alex & Chad. But JoJo knows before this date even happens she’s sending Chad home. It’s the journey to get there is what they focus on. She also knew that she’d never end up with Alex. I believe it was Ali who wrote this in one of her blogs once that the lead would never put someone they knew they really liked on a 2-on-1 because it’s so awkward. It’s happened very few times. Other than Tessa on Andy Baldwin’s season and maybe one other time, basically if you end up on a 2-on-1, just know you’ll never win in the end. As for the 2-on-1 in Argentina with Chase and Derek, those guys weren’t enemies. They just decided to throw another 2-on-1 in this season to do something different. They already had their 2-on-1 of good guy vs bad guy, so I guess they figured they could do one with two guys the audience likes.
-As for the 2-on-1 date itself, it consisted of nothing. The whole point of this date was the inevitable elimination of Chad. They “hiked” through the woods, sat down on a blanket, she talked to each guy, then made her decision. It was all about the end result and nothing about the actual date itself. She spoke to Alex first and he told her that Chad had threatened to beat Jordan’s ass by finding him after the show. And that right there sent JoJo’s spidey senses into overdrive. “Oh no he did unht. Nobody threatens my Jordan and gets away with it!” Granted, Chad was already going home before this date even started (hell, probably before the episode even started), but now JoJo has her one bullet in the holster to pull out and bury Chad with. So when she talks to him privately, she asks him about it, and Chad hems and haws about threatening Jordan. She basically wants none of it, gets up in a huff, and says she needs some time to make her decision.
-Then we get Chad going back to sit next to Alex in the 2-on-1 “moment of uncomfortableness,” kinda like Ashley I. and Kelsey in the middle of the Badlands sitting and making stink faces at each other. However, Chad has some words for Alex. “I’m not mad at you, just disappointed.” Chad, that’s impossible. You get mad at everything. For as much as a tattle as Alex was, he was right on one particular thing. Every time Chad is questioned, he immediately brings up wanting to fight. Every. Time. It’s either, “Lets go outside” or “You wanna a piece of me” or “You should be scared of me.” And that’s the whole being of who Chad is. He can’t NOT avoid confrontation. Even if the guys are egging him on, like JoJo said, he doesn’t have to handle every confrontation by lashing out. But he does, and that’s why she lets him go. But of course, that wasn’t the end of it…
-You know what’s kinda funny about all this? Chad has been front and center on our TV for 4 straight episodes. All anyone is talking about is this guy. Seems like he’s anywhere and everywhere and we’ve been force fed this guy forever. You know how long Chad was on the show in real time? 2 weeks. Filming started March 16th. That 2-on-1 date with Alex in PA was on March 30th. Let that sink in for a bit. And his “fame” will get extended a couple extra weeks now since the next new episode doesn’t air til June 20th, and it will begin with where we left off last night, and that’s Chad Bear trying to break into the house to give the guys a final punch to the face. All of them. Just one giant knockout of 13 other guys. Should be mesmerizing TV I tell ya’.
