Hey there Steve,
Quick question: The podcast that you had in your blog with Mills, “The Bachelor Party,” how much of that did you listen to? I ended up listening to the whole thing and there were a couple of things I don’t think I’ve seen/heard you mention before. He mentioned something about Tia talking to a guy years ago and she didn’t want to get serious with him because she might become the bachelorette some day? That was weird. I wondered if maybe knowing Raven was on the show she knew her chances were good, but he sounded like this was even before that. He also didn’t seem like she was even in consideration for the Bachelorette even as a second choice to Becca the way he was talking about her. It didn’t sound like it was, no. But I hadn’t heard that story until I listened to the podcast.
Also, he mentioned that Lauren has been engaged twice actually, not just the one time. So that’s interesting. Don’t know where he got that information, but he’s wrong. She’s only been engaged once.
Overall that podcast seemed to talk a lot about how boring Lauren and Arie both are. It feels like Mills isn’t terribly thrilled about how the season is being received and is already trying to distance himself from Arie & Lauren in anticipation of how viewers will feel about them after the AFTR airs.
I guess I was wondering if you had listened to the rest of it and what your thoughts were.
Thanks as always!
Comment: He definitely didn’t sound like he liked it and realizes it’s not getting the greatest reception. Obviously I am public enemy #1 when it comes to that show and they’ll never do any business with me, nor would I with them. However, if there was one guy who I actually respect his opinion and who’s probably the straightest shooter in that franchise, it’s Robert Mills. Sure, he overhypes everything, but in his weekly radio show and when he goes on podcasts, he doesn’t hold back. And you know those are the type of guests I like. Would he ever come on my podcast? Not in a million years, and I’d never ask him to. But he would be the only guy on the “dark side” over there who I’d ever have any interest in speaking to. Not to mention, I we graduated from the same college, so he also gets points for that.

Hey Steve,
Do you think the reason Lesley Murphy was brought back into Bachelor world (on Winter Games) was to put her into position to be the Bachelorette?
Love the site!
Comment: No.

Isnt Ben Higgins still dating Lindsay Duke the Bachelor groupie? His facade about hoping to be ready to date on Bachelor Winter Games is really off-putting. Either he cares too much about what people think or he wants to look better than Lauren for “moving on quickly.”
Comment: Seems to be a popular topic. No one knows what that guy’s deal is really. Very strange why he’s kept a girl hidden for six months.

Hey Steve,
Random question, but do you know if they enforced the new BIP rules (2 drinks/hour, must get permission before hooking up) at the Winter Games? And did Arie’s girls have to follow the drink rule as well? I haven’t heard anything regarding that, but my guess is that rule probably isn’t followed strictly at all anymore. That was just rhetoric at the time. It was such a flimsy statement and not clearly defined what it even meant, that it’s basically impossible to enforce.
Do you think that if the Winter Games couples don’t last, some of the international ones might show up on BIP? I’m starting to really enjoy Courtney, Lily, Ally and Benoit (who seriously deserves a redemption) and would love to see them more after this. Absolutely I think we’ll see international contestants on BIP. I have no idea which ones, but definitely wouldn’t be surprised at all.
Finally, when do you think they’ll announce the new Bachelorette (whether it’s Becca or Tia)? I feel like if it’s Becca it’ll make the most sense they announce it at ATFR, right? To leave the audience with some sort of happy ending for her? Who knows with this show, I’m just not looking forward to hearing “most dramatic after the final rose ever” 200 times from both Fleiss and Harrison.
Comment: It’s usually done on the ATFR, but with it being a week earlier than usual this year, who knows? Basically there’s really only 3 places they’ll ever make the announcement: on “Bachelor/ette” programming, Kimmel, or “Good Morning America.”

Hi,
I love what you do!
I just got around to listening to your podcast with Sarah Brice. You mentioned Danushka and that name sounded so familiar. There was a Danushka on the “Food Network Star”. I wondered if it was the same person. Lo & behold, it was! She is quite the reality tv junkie – before that show, she was on Fear Factor, The Bachelor (gone first night), Chopped, and 24-Hour Restaurant Battle.

Thanks for your reporting on all things Bachelor. I really enjoy it.
Comment: Well lookie there. Danushka everyone!

Hi Steve,
Writing in because I just read your WTA episode spoilers and recently listened to Rob Mills on The Bachelor Party podcast. I’m wondering if WTA addressed the fact that allegedly, Krystal’s post bowling van ride rant consisted of her calling Arie #notpeter and complaining that she wanted him to be Bachelor? She’s since said Peter is her celebrity crush in another interview as well. I guess over all I’m wondering if the WTA addressed the fact that most if not all these women went on the show hoping Peter would be the guy? I can see them not wanting to take more wind out of Arie’s sails but Rob Mills seemed perfectly comfortable saying as much on the podcast. Looking for your insight, thanks!
Comment: It was brought up at the WTA that the #NotPeter reference was made in the car ride from the bowling alley during the WTA. But I can’t remember who brought it up. And who knows if it’ll make the show. But the never-before-seen footage we get is of Krystal and Maquel in the bathroom in Ft. Lauderdale after returning from the bowling date.

Hi Reality Steve
What the H is that red mark on Ari’s neck? At first I thought it was a hickie but it’s been there for several episodes. Don’t they have makeup artists to cover that crap up?! According to him, it’s some skin rash he has.
Is that Lauren’s real house? Her parents are pretty well off..Yes.
Very sad watching Becca. Embarrass and dump the girl whos dad died and mom had cancer. Classy! Much worse then what Jason did.
Such a boorrriiinnnggg season. All they do is make out. ZERO substance to any conversation ever.
Have a great week 🙂
Comment: He’s going to get burned at the stake come the finale. And everyone will be behind Becca. Or at least most of the audience will.

Hey Steve,
I’ll try and keep this short and sweet… at the end of the episode tonight during the out take of him and Kendall playing with the rats in front of the Paris scene, I could’ve sworn he said, “Kiss me like you mean it, Lauren.” Am I crazy or did he really call Kendall Lauren?
Love your site and all you do!
Comment: I actually went back and watched the outtake at the end, and I can see how you thought he said that. But what he said was “Kiss me like you mean it, woman.” “Woman” kinda sounded like “Lauren.” But it was definitely “woman.”

Hi Steve,
I may be completely misremembering this but didn’t Lauren say in an earlier episode that she came from a divorced family in which her parents put her in the middle and that was difficult for her?
No. She never said they were divorced. She made reference to tough times growing up, but never that they were divorced because they aren’t.

Hi Steve,
I have a few questions I hope you can answer.
1) When do they film the ITM? I mean do they stop the date and go into some place in the room where they share their thoughts or are they done after a date? Before the date, during the date, after the date, and even the next day. And even weeks later. Sometimes after filming people are flown back to LA, told to wear the same outfit they were wearing on a particular date, and give an ITM. These are called “pickups.” Sharleen’s blog has always done a great job of pointing out when you can tell an ITM wasn’t filmed on the same day that their date was filmed.
2) What season did you first spoil? I feel like I’ve been following your website since Jason season when he picked Melissa only to dump her in the end. Is that when your website started or really took off after they scandal? Yes.
3) I’m not sure if you seen this, and I don’t think you would be interested since I don’t believe you’re a religious guy. Anyway, Sean and Catherine spoke at a Christian college this month and I thought that maybe some of your followers would like to listen to them. It’s about 40 minutes, but I liked listening to it.
Thanks so much for all the hard work you do for getting us the spoilers

Hey Steve!
Thanks for all you do 🙂 I’m looking forward to watching the rest of the season!
I have a few questions for you…
1.) Do you think the ages of Arie’s girls were all based around the fact that the Bachelor supposed to be Peter? We didn’t get anyone in the 31 to 35 range aside from tall Lauren who got cut night one. No. In 22 seasons of the “Bachelor,” the women have always been a majority in the 24-28 range, regardless of the age of the “Bachelor.” The three oldest Bachelors we had in recent memory were Brad 2.0, Nick, and Arie (I’m not counting Byron), and all their women had a median age around 26. It’s just the way it’ll always be with this franchise.
2.) Do you think they will make Winter Games an annual thing or just keep it to Olympic years? They’ve said they’d like to make it an annual thing, but that’s up to ABC’s programming department. The fact this show has drawn 3 million viewers for their first episodes and a .8 and .7 rating, I’d say the chances aren’t that great.
3.) A podcast brought up “Yuki for Paradise 2018!” Do you think the production team would consider making Paradise international for this coming season? I would think seeing international contestants on this season of Paradise is almost a given. I’d really be surprised if we didn’t see any. Although, I’m not sure we’ll see Yuki. How can she date someone on the show when she doesn’t speak the language?
4.) Are all assumptions still pointing to Becca K for Bachelorette? Her tag line would obviously be “Let’s do the damn thing!”.
Comment: Very possible. She seems to love saying that.
