You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality Steve podcast. I’m your host, Reality Steve. Thank you all for tuning in on this Wednesday. We’ve got some Rachel talk for you. First off, Rachel Rekia has thoughts on Jen’s season of The Bachelorette. And which guy reminds her of her ex fiancee, Tino Franco, then Rachel Riley is joining me tomorrow in podcast number four Oh one, which will be on YouTube as well.

As you saw me release a couple of clips from that yesterday, I’ve got some thoughts on something that has come down in the last couple of days. In big brother world. I want to discuss, and I’m actually going to read some of your reader emails on this podcast today. They will not be in the column. The column will be up in a couple hours that has the rest of your reader emails and this daily roundup transcript.

So we will get to all that momentarily. This podcast is brought to you by tropical smoothie cafe. They want you to celebrate summer with you this week, only July 22nd to July 28th. Tropic Rewards members get a free Island Punch smoothie with a bowl or food purchase. Peach, guava, passion fruit, mango, and pineapple.

Order in the app, online, or in cafe. You’re on Tropic Time now at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. First, I guess we should send a shout out and a congratulations to Jared and Ashley I. They had their second son. I believe his name is Hayden, so congratulations to them. And because Ashley had other business to attend to, delivering a baby.

filled in on the almost famous podcast with Ben Higgins this week. And she said that there is somebody on. Jen Season that has giving her the ick and reminds her of her ex fiancee, Tino Franco, and she thinks that’s Devin. She said, there’s something about Devin that really throws up red flags for me because he reminds me a lot of my ex, Tino, and this like, winner mindset, and this, that’s my wife.

Like, this is week two. And, she also said his personality has rubbed many of the castmates the wrong way. Especially when it’s come to the amount of time he’s gotten to spend with Jen. She said, Devin self confidence is something that gave her the same sort of vibe as Tino. She said, quote, I feel like that’s, what’s really getting under the guy’s skin.

But I think at this point I’m over both Thomas and Devin. She said, I was like, but she was happy that he stood up for Sam Najad. She said, I was like, he really stood up for him. You’re allowed to have those feelings. So that was really nice for me. And then she said, she doesn’t want a guy that she’s into on the show, clashing with other guys.

She said, you can kind of tell the other guys don’t really like him. So that’s where it gives me pause. Whereas, yeah, I feel like Thomas is definitely the issue and he was the issue in that argument. I look around the guys and why do they all kind of not like Devin? That says something to me. I want the guy I end up with to get along with people.

And Rachel and Ben both predicted that Jen’s gonna eliminate Devin and Thomas N around, quote, mid season, so they can secure their place on the beach. Well, I mean, look, this is why I think what I do is different. Because there are very, very many Bachelor related podcasts, whether it’s Nick, whether it’s almost famous, whether it’s bachelor happy hour, hell it’s even game of roses and she’s all batch.

They don’t do a podcast recap every week where they incorporate their thoughts, knowing the spoilers. So look, different folks, different strokes for different folks. I get it. But when you hear something like that from Rachel. You know, it’s no shot against her, but she clearly hasn’t read anything or is choosing to not bring up the fact that the spoilers are out there.

But I mean, if Rachel even paid attention to the preview at the beginning of the season, it shows that Devin is in Hawaii. Like it doesn’t even have to be that she read any spoilers or has been told any spoilers that I have posted two weeks after the season ended filming. It’s just. She’s just chosen, I guess, to say spoiler free.

And I don’t know, like I say it for every one of those podcasts. Like I have no gripe with any of them. Well, maybe except Nick’s, but what I’m saying is it’s just kind of weird to me that people cover this show and don’t acknowledge what’s been out there for months. I understand that they are, they want to go spoiler free, but there are people that listen to those podcasts that aren’t spoiler free.

And you’re just hearing these people’s takes and you’re just like, okay, you think Devin’s going home mid season? Well, like you don’t know what’s happening. So it’s just kind of, I don’t know. It’s kind of weird to me. It’s why I’ll never, it’s why I can’t talk about the show and pretend like I don’t know the spoilers.

If I go on somebody else’s podcast and they’re like, Hey, we’re a spoiler free podcast, then yeah, but I’m not going to pretend like I don’t know. It’s just weird. How many bachelor related podcasts? I think bachelor party with Juliet Littman, they don’t acknowledge spoilers. In fact, am I the only podcast that does talk spoilers in their recaps?

I think I might be maybe there’s other I’m obviously don’t listen to every podcast. I don’t listen to any bachelor related podcast I just know the ones because they’re quoted the most on websites and I can just tell by their quotes They don’t read the spoilers or they don’t acknowledge the spoilers when they’re recapping the show So it’s weird to me now her opinion of Devin that he reminds her Of Tino.

I mean, that’s perfectly reasonable to think of that. If that’s what she thinks, and she did acknowledge that she liked what he did now, I think she might be a little bit off when she says that none of the guys like Devin because it looks like more of the guys dislike Sam than dislike Devin because Devin definitely had some people sticking up for him in episode one and episode two.

I don’t know. Seems like Sam is more of the villain this season. So it was interesting that Rachel, you know brought that up and again, just another bachelor podcast that just doesn’t want to acknowledge or does not know or knows and doesn’t want to acknowledge the Spoilers that are out there. The other Rachel I wanted to bring up was Rachel Riley Viegas Who was season 13 winner on big brother.

She is my podcast guest tomorrow, podcast number 401. That’ll be released normal time on Apple podcasts. And then a couple hours later, around nine 15 Eastern time on my YouTube channel. So go look for that. She brought up something that’s come up in the last 24 hours regarding a couple of the contestants.

Well, actually only, she only brought up one of the contestants. I just found out about the other one a few hours ago. So it’s brought up on the podcast. I put it in my clip yesterday that I released on Twitter and my Instagram story is the fact that Angela has been on let’s make a deal. Angela has been on prices, right?

And Angela was on an episode of Dr. Phil, where her daughter wasn’t speaking to the parents or speaking to her dad. So she had cameras follow her family around for, Oh, I don’t know. A week or something like that. And Rachel isn’t a fan of that and thinks that Angela is just playing it up for the cameras.

And a lot of people are saying Angela is a plant. And the other thing that I found out a couple hours ago was that Brooklyn was also on Dr. Phil, but she was on Dr. Phil, because I guess she told a story about how she had been stalked in the past. So let’s start with, first off, the Brooklyn thing is irrelevant to me.

I. I don’t care that she went on Dr. Phil to tell a story about how she was stocked. That’s obviously a major deal in her life. The Angela thing is different, but to say she’s a plant, a plant of what? It’s not like Angela’s going on this show. To be on a dating show. And we find out, Oh my God, look at all the reality shows that she’s been on.

Like this is, I don’t think it matters that someone that goes on big brother has been on TV before, especially one episode or of a game show and another episode of a game show. Yeah. The Dr. Phil thing where they followed her family around for a week with cameras in their house. Okay, I don’t understand.

Look, I’m not a fan of Angela and I think she’s completely off her rocker and she’ll be gone within the first four episodes, so I don’t want to make a huge deal out of this, but I know a lot of people are because when I posted it on my TikTok yesterday as well, some of the comments were like, get her out of there.

She’s a plant. I was like, wait, this is big brother. I don’t think your outside factors and the fact that you had been on TV before has anything to do with anything. What does it matter? It’s not like she’s made a living off this and she’s rich. Cause she went on prices, right? Or she went on, let’s make a deal.

And even if she, I don’t even know what she won on those shows, but if she did, it’s not like she’s retiring a multimillionaire because of those shows. And she probably got paid to do a segment on the Dr. Phil show, but I don’t understand what the plant thing has to do when it comes to big brother. You know, every single one of these people is going to try and capitalize post show and either start a podcast or start something on Instagram.

I don’t really see the big deal and I’m more interested in the gameplay and that’s what Rachel kind of breaks down. Rachel takes it as like, she just wants to make good TV and she wants to be on TV. And since she has been on TV, she kind of knows the ropes and wants to maybe parlay this into another appearance on big brother.

I’m like, well, if she doesn’t make it past the first four episodes, which I don’t think she will, I, I don’t see how that’s going to happen. And she’s going to parlay this into anything, but man, people are really fired up that they found out that Angela was on three episodes of. An episode of Price is Right, an episode of Dr.

Phil, and an episode of Let’s Make a Deal. I’m just like, whatever. It’s just a TV show. This game show, you’re not competing to date anybody. You’re not, you know, trying to pretend you’re this person that you’re hiding from everybody else. It’s just like, hey, this is me. Maybe it’ll come up in the live feeds.

Maybe she’ll talk about how the fact she was on Price is Right once. I, I just don’t understand how that would prevent anybody from, oh, she shouldn’t have been cast for this.
