We’re gonna talk about episode five tonight, even though we’re gonna get the end of episode four at the beginning of episode five tonight.
Talk about a few of the things we covered on last night’s live stream. In addition, somebody from Bachelor Nation arrested and it couldn’t have happened to a better guy. Quick update on the Golden Bachelorette, and we are going to spend a good amount of time talking about Big Brother last night. H. O. H.,
NOMS, and why I continue to dislike Tucker. We’ll get to all that momentarily. So let’s start with tonight’s episode of GenSeason of The Bachelorette. Spoke about this last night on the livestream, and We know that tonight’s episode is going to start with the cocktail party from Rose ceremony. Number four, the guys don’t even know yet about Jen’s ex boyfriend, Matt Rossi showing up and I said this on the live stream last night.
I’ll share it with you here because look, if you watched the live stream last night. You’re going to hear a lot of repeated stuff in today’s podcast. I get it, but you have to also understand not everybody that watches the live stream is listening to this podcast. In fact, way more of you are listening to this podcast that tuned into the live stream last night.
So yes, for the live stream watchers. Absolutely appreciate you tuning in every Sunday night, but yeah, you’ll hear some stuff on Mondays that I repeated or that I said the night before, but a lot more of you are listening today for the first time, did not catch last night’s live stream. So let me just talk a little bit about Jen’s episode.
So we know it starts with the cocktail party beginning and Jen is going to tell the guys that are remaining the 11 that are left because she eliminated Sam and 12 guys went to Auckland, New Zealand. She’s already eliminated Sam. And so we have 11 there. And she’s going to tell them, my ex boyfriend showed up, he wants in, and then I’m sure she’s going to go around and talk to all of them and ask their opinion.
And Matt’s going to walk in, the guys are going to basically tell him, we don’t want you here, you had your chance already. And look, they’re right. I understand that this was just done to throw a wrench into the season and make people think that, oh my gosh, it was more done for the teaser at the beginning of the season.
Because at that point, nobody knew who it was that was showing up on the show or when he was showing up, unless you watched my season breakdown of the trailer for the season, but basically what it comes down to is Jen stopped filming or not stopped filming. She was eliminated from Joey season in real time in October of 2023.
She wasn’t announced as the bachelorette till March of 2024. She has said when she made her podcast rounds last week, she did Nick’s podcast. She did Emma and Claire’s podcast. I believe she did bachelor happy hour, probably did chicks in the office, but she made her podcast rounds last week. And in every podcast, she was asked about Matt and she was very open about it and said, look, we dated a few years ago.
He wasn’t the crappy ex I’ve been talking about on the show. But we only dated for three or four months. After I got back from Joey season, we got back in touch. We were spending some time together. Okay. But at no point during that time or in the six months that she’s been back from filming Joey season before she left in March to film her season, did Matt Rossi ever Explain or reveal his feelings for Jen never told her how he felt and never told her that he loved her.
He had every chance to do that. He never did it. They never, he never even did it when they were dating. So it’s not like he said it three or four years ago when they were dating for three or four months and then never said it in these six months he had a chance to again, he’s never told her he was in love with her at any point during their relationship.
But now he’s going to save it for doing it on TV. I mean. The guy’s an influencer on TikTok with his weenie dog. It’s very obvious why he’s doing this on the show. And I’m sure that’s what the guys are going to tell him. And I’m sure that’s what it’s going to come down to is, Hey, why is he allowed to do this when he had every chance to tell you?
And look, we all know what the end result is. She doesn’t even let him join the show unless she lets him join for the rose ceremony, and then she just doesn’t give him a rose. But that seems kind of pointless. Regardless, he doesn’t last pass the episode four rose ceremony anyway. I believe Thomas N goes home tonight.
At the rose ceremony. And then we have episode five, which is Jonathan’s one on one date. They take a helicopter ride and then I believe go to a winery. And then there’s the group date with all the sheep involved in it. And then we have grants one on one date where she’s in the equestrian outfit and they’re riding horses.
And then I don’t know if we’re going to get the episode five rose ceremony tonight. But we know at the end of tonight’s episode, there’s only going to be seven men left. The final four, Sam McKinney. Grant Ellis. Those are the six that are definitely going to Seattle. And then it’s either Spencer or Dylan get eliminated in the episode five rose ceremony or doesn’t is the seventh guy that goes to Seattle.
We’ve known this for a while. So that’s what you can expect tonight on, on Jen season, but I just don’t buy anything that Matt Rossi is selling. Just don’t, he clearly did it to be on television. He clearly did it because I don’t know necessarily if producers Asked him to do it. And maybe he did pay for his own ticket.
Like Jen said he did on one of the podcasts, but producers still had to approve him coming on. They might’ve said, Hey, if you want to do this fine, but you got to pay for it. But they still had to allow it. They easily could have said, no, don’t even bother. We’re two weeks into filming. She’s probably not going to keep you around anyway, but this is just a storyline to add to the season is really all this was.
So just keep that in mind when you’re watching him tonight. The other thing that I was discussing on the live stream last night, and I would suggest go back and looking at it, go to my YouTube channel at Reality Steve and check it out because it’s more of a visual thing. I’ll put it in tomorrow’s recap because it’s something that I can include in there as a screenshot.
We’ve spent a couple weeks now talking about Sam McKinney’s family who seems to have shut up. I haven’t seen any comments that they’ve put recently online. I might have missed them. But I don’t know for sure. Sam McKinney, obviously not very happy with his edit and sisters aren’t happy with it. His brother isn’t happy with it.
His brother in law isn’t happy with his mom and dad aren’t happy with it. They’ve all commented on social media. So I wanted to show last night, cause we talk about it all the time. Like you don’t understand these contracts that these. Contestant signed to go on the show. It’s one of the worst contracts you could ever possibly sign.
You’re basically signing your life over to the show for a full year. Well, I wanted to actually show you guys the contract. One of the screenshots that I showed on the live stream last night is a tweet that Kristen Baldwin, Multi time podcast guest that comes on the podcast quite a bit. She tweets out. I feel like once a season, just to remind the contestants on the show who complain about their edit, it’s literally in your contract.
It says they can do whatever they want. They can embarrass you. They can humiliate you. They can surprise you. They can say defamatory things about you. They can change the edit to make it seem like you said something essentially. And you have no legal recourse whatsoever. So we don’t just talk about it.
You actually get to see the part that’s in the contract. And then I found a contract from years ago that a contestant gave me. I don’t even remember which contestant it was. I just know it’s been sitting on my desktop for at least 15 years and I’ve always had it says participation agreement. So I don’t know if that particular contract still exists, or it’s just written a different way, or it’s condensed a little bit, but again, just lays out there right in the contract about knowledge of embarrassment, like that’s the title of the actual chapter in the contract, knowledge of embarrassment.
So pretty much goes to show you that they can do whatever they want. And it’s literally written there for you. So complaining about it after the fact, it’s like, Hey man, it’s your fault. Yeah, this is what it says it’s in bold and it’s underlined knowledge of potential embarrassment and surprises. And it basically just goes on to say, this show can throw any surprise at you that we want.
And. There’s a potential for embarrassment for disparaging things said about you, things that might even be untrue. So and I, and I’ll say this again, not that I’m going to sit here and defend Sam M, but as hard as I’ve been on Sam M, I’ve specifically said, I’m not even talking about his edit when it comes to things that are frank and bitten because plenty of things have been totally.
Voiceovers when we’re talking about Sam M. There’s been plenty of stuff where it’s just you hear his voice, but you don’t hear him saying it. So he could be talking about something else. I’m only referring to the things that where we see him on camera, and see his face, and see his mouth moving. Kind of like the one on one he had with Devin last week.
He couldn’t have been talking to anybody else. It was only him and Devin in the room. So he couldn’t have been talking about anybody else. And we hear him say, bro, your name’s not even in my mouth. It’s like, what are you talking about? That’s all you talk about is Devin. You talk about him in your ITMs. If it’s a producer forcing you to, that’s not what the audience sees.
And if you didn’t answer that question about Devin in your ITMs by a producer, then they wouldn’t have that footage. And his family seems to think, Hey man, It’s not just Thomas and Sam that don’t like Devin. So many other guys in the house didn’t. Well, the other thing is, so many other guys in the house aren’t letting him get to them like Sam is.
Clearly, Sam doesn’t see Devin as somebody that Jen should be interested in if she’s interested in Sam. So he’s obviously put off by him. And this is where the problem lies. He’s letting Devin get under his skin. You can’t deny that anybody in the McKinney family or Sam, just admit it. He’s getting under Sam’s skin and they are taking Sam’s reactions to Devin and making sure they highlight them.
Yeah. Maybe they’re not highlighting other guys reactions to Devin, but that’s what you get for signing up for the show. It’s as simple as that. So I did it in my live stream. You can actually see the written word in the contract that he signed and everybody signs of what it says this show can do to you.
