Great to have the wonderful Molly Mesnick back on the podcast. You’ll hear during the podcast today that we couldn’t remember when I had her and Jason on before. I had to go look after the fact and it was Podcast #200 in Sept. of 2020. So almost 4 years to the day when I last had Molly on. Too long I tell ya’. She talks about what happened on Monday’s date, how long Jenn and Sam spoke, how uncomfortable it was, what she thought of the other men, how her daughter Riley was star struck when Charity, Daisy, and Kelsey all came to their house for dinner and, of course, we spend the last half of the podcast talking about “It Ends With Us.” Molly is a fan, I’m a fan, so we’re talking about it. Don’t worry, only probably a few days left before I stop talking about it. It’s only been 5 days since I saw the movie, so it’s still a hot topic. It won’t be in a week or so. But thanks again to Molly for coming on the week she appeared on the show. Can’t wait for you all to listen and/or watch the interview as well.

DAILY ROUNDUP 8/15 TRANSCRIPT
You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality Steve podcast. I am your host, Reality Steve. Thank you all for tuning in. Good Thursday show for you. We are going to talk about what’s coming up in a couple hours on podcast number four Oh four. We’re going to also talk about Jones men.
I brought it up at the beginning in the open yesterday, and then I’ve totally forgot to talk about it. Jones men were released for her season of the golden bachelorette. And there was an article that came out yesterday by. Frequent podcast guest, Kristen Baldwin on ew. com. She attended one of the group dates doesn’t give spoilers of it, but a very thorough breakdown of what we’re going to see from Joan season this year.
Quotes from Joan quotes from the producers quotes from some of the men on this season. Big brother last night. If you knew the spoiler, you knew it was going to happen, but it was interesting watching it play out. Power of veto. The challenge season 40 debuted last night. Got some thoughts on that and something that happened to me that seems to happen at least once a year That is just so annoying.
I’ll get to that momentarily. So first off podcast number 404 coming up in a couple hours. Also on my YouTube channel at reality, Steve, it is with Molly Mesnick. She was on Monday’s date with her husband, Jason. Jason couldn’t join us. He’s on a golf trip. So it was just. Myself interviewing Molly. We talked about the date.
There was a lot more that went on. We don’t go into detail of it because she can’t really do that, but she is very open and honest about what you saw on TV Monday between Jen and Sam was the real thing. There wasn’t anything that was edited out. She goes. First off, that conversation took 30 to 45 minutes and you saw less than probably three minutes of it.
She goes, it was actually worse than what you saw. Didn’t want to go into any details and I totally respect that, but she did give her impressions of Sam. And then we went over the impressions of the other four men that were on that date. Also talked to her about Grant, obviously our new bachelor. And then look, You got to give me some leeway here.
I know we’re only five days since I saw the movie, but literally the last 30 minutes of the podcast is about, it ends with us because Molly had some thoughts on it as well. I saw it on our Instagram story and I wanted to talk about it. Just give me another couple of days, probably by next week, unless something major breaks in terms of the offscreen drama, I’ll, I’ll let it go and I won’t talk about it anymore, but it’s, it’s, It’s a very hot pop culture topic right now.
And Molly has read the book, read it earlier this year, saw the movie. She’s got thoughts. And I just, it’s, it’s just a very big topic right now. Anywhere that you talk anywhere, it’s the number one movie in the world. If not number one, it’s number two behind Deadpool. I don’t know if Deadpool kept the reins for the third straight week or not, but.
There’s just so much going on with the drama off the screen and then what we see on the screen. It’s just a lot there, so I just wanted to let you know that about the first 30 minutes of the podcast are about Molly and her family and being on the show on Monday and her career with the show, how she feels about it, and then we get into, It ends with us.
So a very good conversation with Molly coming up at 9 15 a. m. Eastern time is when it will be released on YouTube. And right around that time, it should be in your podcast feed, wherever you listen to your podcast, Apple, Spotify, whatever the case may be, but also check it out on YouTube as well. So something I brought up in the open yesterday and then completely forgot to talk about was the fact that Jones men were released on Tuesday.
Now there are some people out there, some content creators who, including Morgan P, someone that I follow frequently now, and I really do agree with, I kind of brought this up, but she focused more on it. Same with she’s all batch in that the announcement of grant, while it was weird on Monday night I don’t know.
What made it even weird in that it wasn’t a video of him. It wasn’t an updated picture of him. It wasn’t him on Kimmel. It wasn’t him on GMA. It wasn’t him on a taped men tell all or alive after the final rose. It was just, Oh yeah, all these entertainment sites are reporting that grand is the next bachelor.
And then it wasn’t until the show ended on the West coast, which was 1 AM Eastern time that the actual bachelor and bachelorette Instagram pages. Officially made grant the bachelor. The other thing that I think really took away from grant being named the bachelor one, he still hasn’t done an interview, but I’m guessing he will today.
Cause today is the men tell all taping. He will be there. I’m sure it’s going to be his first sit down. Still. We’re not going to see it for a week and a half, but either way, it’s going to be grant giving his first interview. But one of the things is the very next day. They released Jones men. So it’s almost like it took a backseat and you saw Jones men released on Instagram.
So two and a half minute video, we got to hear from most, all of the 24 men. We got to see them interacting. It’s just like, that was your release for a season. That’s been on the air now, two seasons, a two and a half minute video on your Instagram page. And you couldn’t even do the same for grant. Like, I don’t understand the promotion.
And. Yeah, maybe I’m parroting what Morgan P said and what she’s all batch said, but I, it’s because I agree with them. I talked about it yesterday. It was just a very, very bizarre way to announce your lead. It’s never been done that way ever. We’ve never had it done where at least when the announcement was made, we heard from the person or saw an updated picture of the guy.
Now, unfortunately his first interview is going to be with Nick podcast. So. He’s going to have that, but it’s just weird to do it on a channel like that. And I guess it just shows that they think some other podcasters within the franchise or close to the franchise have more of a pull and have more of an audience than their online presence does, which maybe they’re right.
And maybe that’s why they’re farming out some of their top people in the franchise to places like call her daddy and Nick Vial and even Caitlin sometimes. Maybe that’s why they’re doing it. Because they just figure how many people are really listening to or following bachelor ABC on Instagram Instagram, probably not many.
So it’s not as many as people that listen to call her daddy or Nick or Caitlin, but Nick’s going to Nick’s going to be interviewing grant on his podcast today, so that’ll guess I’d technically be grants first interview. The men tell all tapes today, by the way, Nick’s interview with grant was obviously prerecorded.
It’s not being. Taped today. It’s being released today. So it means he’s already recorded it. And mental all is taping today in Los Angeles. Grand, I just called him Glenn. Is there a Glenn on Jones season? What the hell is the name of Glenn in my head? Whatever the case. Grant will be at the men tell all as well.
And I’m sure he’s going to get a hot seat, sit down with Jesse Palmer, and they’ll go over things and we’ll see that whenever the men tell all airs, we don’t have a schedule that has been laid out for the rest of the season on how Jen’s episodes are going to play. All we know is next week’s episode is hometown dates.
I’m assuming the following week, which would be the 26th. I’m assuming that is going to be overnights and then labor day. They’ll save for. September 2nd, Labor Day, they’ll save for the men tell all, and then the finale on the 9th. But I have no idea. They haven’t announced. Maybe they’re going to do a double up.
Maybe they’re going to do a Monday, Tuesday. I don’t know for sure yet what they’re doing, but we do know Grant’s first sit down interview will be on Nick’s podcast today. And then. He’ll be taping the men tell all today and I’m assuming it will air in two and a half weeks. I don’t know because Maybe it airs the 26.
Maybe they’re just gonna do hometowns on the 19th men tell all on the 26th and then overnights on Labor Day and finale on September 9th. I don’t I have no idea. I’m just guessing and obviously I’m not even guessing I’m just throwing out the possibilities because they might even not even do a Monday Monday and just double up They’ve never skipped Labor Day There’s always been an episode on Labor Day, whether it was the Bachelorette ending of the season, either the finale, or the week before the finale, or two weeks before the finale, or they were already into Paradise at that point.
But they’ve always aired an episode on Labor Day. They don’t skip Labor Day. They will skip July 4th. If July 4th happens to fall on a Monday, they won’t air The Bachelorette on that date. But now they would just start the season after the July 4th so they don’t have to take a week off. I don’t know when July 4th is next on Monday, what year that happens in, but I can tell you that whatever that season, whatever year it does, they won’t start The Bachelorette until afterwards.
Just like they didn’t start this season. They didn’t start Jen’s season until July 8th. July 8th. So that’s what I mean. We’ll keep you updated. Anytime I hear something about what the schedule is for the rest of the season, obviously I’m going to tell you guys, but I do not know it yet. All I know is next week we get hometown dates.
