You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality Steve podcast. I am your host Reality Steve. Thank you all for tuning in on this Tuesday. We are going to recap and give you my thoughts on last night’s overnight date episode with Jen and Hawaii with Devin, Jonathan, and Marcus. Got some golden bachelorette news for you.
Your spoilers for the season. How about that? Well, not for the season for your final four breakdown I don’t I don’t say I don’t care but I have no interest in finding out what happens in episodes Whatever one through five you want to know what happens at the end and who Joan is with and I will tell you some final thoughts on the Caitlin situation one What us weekly wrote in a tweet yesterday, which I thought was completely uncalled for.
And number two, what Caitlin said in another Facebook post that she put up yesterday, and hopefully we can just put this thing to bed. I mean, it’s over in my mind. Unless Tayshia speaks out, which I doubt she will. So, we will discuss all of that momentarily. Alright, do I want to start with Golden Bachelorette stuff?
I might as well, before we get to overnight dates. And that is this. I’m gonna post it on my Instagram story. I’m gonna post it on my Instagram feed. And I’m also going to put it out there on my recap coming up in a couple hours on reality, steve. com. And I’ll put it on X as well. So, you know, your final four guys, which I had posted back at the time of hometown dates were Guy Gansert.
They, and then it was Chalk Chapel. And then the two guys from Chicago were on back to back days, Pascal Ibgui and Jordan Heller. I told you last week I found out that Jordan Heller got eliminated at final four. So your final three are Chalk, Guy, and Pascal. I can now tell you that Chalk was eliminated at final three.
Your final two guys are Guy Gansert, final two guys are Guy Gansert and Pascal Ibgui. What I have heard is that when they got to the final two, Pascal self eliminated, I guess, basically wasn’t there in terms of was not in love with Joan. So I have heard that Joan and it wasn’t, I don’t, I haven’t been told like, Oh, it was just, well, Pascal boned out.
So she went, just went with guy. No, that’s just how Pascal. Left the show and Joan is with Guy Gansert. The one thing I do not know is if they are engaged. I have no idea. Maybe I’ll find out before then. Joan seems to have a head on her shoulders. Not saying if she got engaged, that means it’s a dumb idea, but she went into this saying, look, I’m not going to move Guy Gansert is lives in Nevada.
So I have no idea how this relationship is going to work. I know nothing about other than the logistics. She lives in the Baltimore, Maryland area. He’s from Nevada. He’s got kids. His wife is, or was in, or maybe she still is. Very heavily involved in politics in Nevada, but I have no idea what’s going to happen with them.
I don’t know if they got engaged. I don’t know if they’re going to move for each other, if they’re going to find a happy medium between Nevada and Baltimore. If guy’s going to move to Baltimore, I have no idea. Joan has made it clear. She’s not moving. So it’s just a matter of what guy decides to do. But I heard that they are the ones that end up together and Pascal was final two with her.
If you saw the trailer that they ran last night, looks like Pascal got a one on one in Las Vegas because you see them in a limo pulling up to the Paris hotel. So I don’t know where they went for overnights and final rose ceremony that I do not know. I just know that Guy Gansert is the final guy and you’ll see that I keep, I might have to change that because his name is Guy and I don’t want to keep saying final guy.
So maybe I should be saying final pick, final man. I would say fiance if I knew if they got engaged or not. I don’t know if she got engaged or not. I have no idea. Hopefully I’ll find out before the finale airs. It starts on Wednesday, September 18th, right? We don’t know how many episodes this year. Gary had what six.
I don’t know how many she’s getting. But we do know her episodes start Wednesday, the 18th. It’s going to air on Wednesday, Wednesday nights, and the episodes are all going to be 90 minutes long. So maybe she’ll get six episodes just like Gary did, but she’s going to get an extra, basically three hours of programming because her episodes are 90 minutes and Gary’s were only 60 minutes.
So we’ll see, we’ll see how it plays out. Those are your spoilers for a golden bachelorette. Congratulations, Joan and Guy. Moving on to last night’s episode with Jen and whoever. Oh, her final three. Whoever. Their final three guys. Okay, here’s one thing I want to immediately start out with. And it’s a nice touch because we’ve never seen this before.
I just found it really interesting that two of the three guys got to have a little pre date conversation with Jesse Palmer on the golf course. I just find it funny because we know Chris Harrison is obsessed with golf. And for those that don’t know, every time they did travel, when Chris Harrison didn’t have anything to do on camera, which was 99.
9 percent of the time, he was always golfing on the road when the show traveled. Yet we never saw one conversation of him. Having a one on one with the guys while he was golfing. And yet we saw it twice in this episode as Devin got to go off with Jesse. Devin and Jesse were actually on the course. Marcus and Jesse were just on the driving range.
That’s what we got to see. Devin and Marcus got alone time with Jesse seemingly setting up that, Hey, these are the final two guys. I maybe Jonathan got to golf and they just cut that scene out. I have no idea, but. Just the way the episode went not surprising that the two guys that we got to see Were Marcus and Devin Devin obviously has no problem opening up to Jen and she won’t reciprocate the feelings Whereas Marcus is the complete opposite.
She tells Marcus last night on her overnight date She’s in love with him and he says he’s not there yet. So you’re just like scratching your head and Well, well, how do we know why would she keep Marcus around if he’s not there yet Well, I mean, it’s editing for one. Number two, Jonathan was at the men tell all taping.
So clearly Jonathan gets eliminated at the first part of the episode tonight. Cause remember tonight is going to be the conclusion of last night’s overnight date episode and then into the men tell all. So Jonathan gets eliminated tonight. She clearly has never told Jonathan she loves him. And it’s weird because Devin is giving her everything she wants.
And all she keeps saying is bringing up things like self sabotage, never had this in a relationship before. You almost seem too perfect. And. So, you know, I think the thing with Devin with me, I’ve said it all season long is I just don’t know if this guy was out to win a television show and stroke his ego because he won or if he was really serious about Jen.
Obviously, I definitely think he fell for her and he liked her because we all know how this show goes. You’re putting a bubble for eight weeks. Your only focus is one woman. You can’t think about other women because there’s nobody to think about. It’s one woman put in front of you. You’re asked to talk about your feelings every single day and how you feel about this woman.
So obviously a lot of things are sped up in this relationship, but again, last night, Devin saying to Jesse and saying it in his ITMs that I, I feel like I want to be number one. I don’t want to be one of I’ve been one of before. Now, while that might sound like a great line, unfortunately, to me, it comes across as I want to win.
Yes. He also, the prize that he would get to win, quote unquote, would be Jen in this situation, but it seems like he just wants to be the winner of this show. That’s the way it comes across to me. I’m not saying he hates her. I’m not saying he’s putting on a complete act. I’m not saying anything of the such.
I am just, and I’m not saying he was there for the wrong reasons. I’m just saying it seems like more so than anybody in past seasons. Like I never got this from Dotton. You know, I never thought that Dotton was out to win a television show. So that’s what I’m saying. I don’t really, I don’t see it that way, but I do think he likes her.
I do think he’s fallen for her. Probably has convinced himself he’s falling for her because of the structure of the show, something that he is absolutely not familiar with. He knew nothing about the show. If you listen to any of his interviews that he has done on the Bachelor podcast circuit, or maybe it was just on Bachelor happy hour.
He had no idea about how the show works. Devin never watched the previous season. It seems like, so he got sucked in for sure. But when he says stuff like, I want to feel like I’m number one and I’m not getting that. I just feel like I’m one of, and I’ve been in that situation before. To me, that just screams.
He really wants to be the winner of the show and maybe not necessarily the winner of Jen’s heart. That’s just the way I look at it. And. Looking over the whole season. I’ve been saying this all season. And then when he was dropping that line last night, I’m like, man. It really does confirm, at least to me, I get the sense that he’s out more to win something than to win Jen over.
And he want, granted, he gets Jen in the process if he does, quote unquote, win this show. But there’s something about him that screams to me, he’s all about winning. Because if you’ve never watched the show, and you have no idea what it’s about, and you go on it, I can’t imagine you were going on this and you didn’t win.
With the 100 percent greatest intentions of, Oh, I, not that you have to be a historian when it comes to this franchise, but if you know, nothing about the show, like Devin has said, he didn’t, you can’t look back at previous couples that have worked and say, I really liked the way they handled things. And I really liked them as a couple.
And I mirror our, our relationship kind of like theirs and stuff like that. Again, you don’t have to be a historian, but for someone who knows absolutely nothing about the show. And then to go on. And already at over at, at hometown dates telling her he loves her, it just seems like he’s telling her exactly what she wants to hear and maybe not necessarily how he truly feels.
And he’s just putting himself out there like, Hey man, I’m telling her I loved her. I told her I loved her yesterday. How many times during last night’s overnight date? Did he tell her that he loved her? And he’s just bothered that she won’t say it back to him. And while he’s saying like, I’ve been in this situation before and it sucks.
And I don’t want to get my heart broken. I’m sorry. Just to me, I look at it as he wants to win this so bad and it just doesn’t come across as sincere to me. That’s just me.
