Then we’re going to talk dance with the stars last night. I got a lot of thoughts on what I saw big brother as well. I never got to it yesterday and DJ James Kennedy from Vanderpump rules has something to say about a possible season 12 and we will get to all that momentarily. So right off the bat, want to talk about tomorrow’s episode number four 10 on the weekly podcast.
It’s with Rachel Juarez from the TV show hot bench, which is the syndicated judge show. It’s a spinoff of judge Judy, but there’s three judges. On the bench, I’m sure you’ve come across it. I’ve come across it every once in a while. I don’t think I’ve ever watched a full episode, but Rachel reached out to me last week to thank me for my coverage of the Devon stuff.
And I was like, I’d love to have you on the podcast to talk about it. We also talk about the Gill stuff. And then I asked her about the Clayton situation, which it’s like, She knows some of the details, but doesn’t know all of it. So what I’m going to do is I told her, look, I’m going to get you the pertinent things that you need to know about that case.
Cause I would absolutely love to hear what somebody who basically. Is in family law, which is where Clayton’s case was done. And I mean, she is, that’s her main practice. You’ll find out about the TV show versus what she does in her, in her regular practice, but she’s a family law arbitrator. And that’s why I want to get her take on the Clayton case.
And we’re probably gonna have her on within the next. Month or so. I think once I can get her all the relevant documents, she’ll read it. And I want to, I want to get her take on everything, but she is absolutely great. Probably one of my new favorite guests. She is somebody I’m going to go to a lot for legal advice.
Now, when something legal comes up with the show, we go over the Devon stuff. She talks about how the Gill stuff from golden bachelorette is different than the Devon stuff. We briefly talk about. The Clayton case, I fill her in on a couple of things that she was unaware of. And it’s just a really, really good conversation.
It’s about 75 minutes long. I can’t wait for you to guys to to hear that tomorrow. Cause it’s really, really good. I thought she was excellent. A lot of fun talking to her and she will definitely be on in the future and definitely be someone that I bounce. Stuff off of where I don’t even need to probably bring her on the podcast, just fire off an email.
She’ll respond and I’ll just probably just read your responses. So make a note of that. I did want to mention one thing about grant season. I told you last Friday was the first group date of the season. It was a basketball game, five on five. There were 10 women on the date. I’ll probably get to telling you who was on that date next week.
And then on Saturday there was a seven person date and that was an RNB date. Just wanted to fill you in on that. I’m not gonna, I will probably tell you who was on that date next week as well. There were two judges. Basically all seven women had to come out and basically do a little rap. Not very long, less than 30 seconds.
And there were judges there. One of them was the R& B singer Mario, and the other one was Robin Anton, the woman who founded the Pussycat Dolls. So she was there. Mario was there and grant, and they decided which woman had the best quote unquote rap and or song that they created for Devin. And it doesn’t mean that person got the group date rose.
I don’t know who got it obviously later on that night, but that person was declared the winner by grant and the two judges, and she got a little extra time up on stage with grant during her performance, she actually came over to grant and kissed him. I don’t know if that’s going to set off the other woman, the other women.
I have no idea. We’ll obviously see as the show plays out, but there was definitely someone that was there was definitely someone that stuck out in that group date from what I was told. I don’t want to say it was in a negative way, but she was definitely the loudest one and the one that was craving most of the attention and wanted the attention on herself.
Again, I’m done calling people villains on this show because even when I say, I use the word villain loosely. We just have to have no idea how it’s going to be portrayed, but there was a woman that in the context of this show, I say this every year, but people just seem to forget it, whatever. Uh, there is somebody that was the loudest one on the R and B date on Saturday.
So I just wanted to let you know, Mario and Robin Antin were the two quote unquote celebrities that appeared on that date on Saturday at the bell weather theater in LA. And Friday’s group date, the basketball game, was at the L. A. Athletic Club. Five on five basketball game. And one of the teams absolutely destroyed the other team.
One of the teams had all the tallest women and the other team had the shortest women. So it was apparently just an absolute bloodbath. The game wasn’t even close and by people who were in attendance of that game said it wasn’t the most aesthetically pleasing basketball game to watch, to say the least.
Let’s talk a little dancing with the stars from last night. Another good episode. It was Oscars night. They danced to songs that were, I believe, Grammy winning songs, right? Not just songs that were nominated for song of the year, but I could be wrong. Didn’t really, it’s a very minor detail. They were basically though all songs that were from soundtracks of movies.
We did find out there’s no dancing with the stars next week because of the vice presidential debate. So it returns in two weeks. Keep that in mind. It’s going to be another double elimination in two weeks. So Jen started off the show and. I must’ve missed it. I watched the whole thing, but you heard Sasha and Jen say at the end of their dance, when everything started at their dance, all they heard was clicks.
The music wasn’t loud enough. So I don’t know how that works. I heard the music from the beginning. I’m not saying they’re lying. I’m just saying I was confused on what they were saying happened, but clearly something happened and they were able to fight through it. They obviously, the biggest thing is they made it to next week.
That’s really all that matters. And I expect Jen to be there for quite a few weeks. The question becomes, does she outlast Joey? I don’t know. I don’t think it matters who outlasts who. I think both of them are going to do really well and they’re going to make it at least halfway through. So what there’s 13 dancers this season.
I would think both of them make top six. I can’t see either of them being eliminated before top six, but you never know, you just never know where people’s voting is going to go. I was really shocked that Tori went, not that Tori was the best dancer. Kind of surprised. I mean, cause look, I know Reginald Val Johnson is the old person that everyone’s cheering for, but
I don’t need to say it. We all witnessed what’s going on out. Eric Roberts, same thing. I understand he’s in a lot of pain. I get it. Tori Spelling was a better dancer than both of those two and thought she. Not only did she dance better than him, I think she has more charisma than both of them when she dances and just personality wise, it just, we know this is a popularity contest.
So not a little surprised that it wasn’t, I knew Anna was going home this week. I know Cheryl Burke said last week, she didn’t think Anna was lasting. I was like, I’m not going to tell Cheryl, are you nuts when she’s on my podcast, but I didn’t think there was any chance in the world that Anna Delvey was going past the first elimination.
And you know, when they were doing her video package, we see before she dances, we see them bring in Julia Fox and I’m like, Julia Fox, why does she look so familiar? What do I know her from? And she’s like the famous clip on the internet of uncut jams, right? That’s her. That’s Julia Fox, right? And when we see Ezra talking in the video package to Anna, like, Hey, you just got to embrace it more.
I understand there’s haters out there. You got to embrace this more, you know, enjoy it, smile, all this stuff. I’m sorry. This woman, I really hope dancing with the stars realizes whatever they were trying to pull by having her on the show, totally backfired, literally a waste of our time to cast that woman.
You can talk about redemption stories. All you want. She got eliminated after two episodes. She didn’t even want to be there. They asked her at the end, what’d you learn from this experience? She said, nothing, frankly, good riddance, Anna. I hope you don’t even come back. I hope they don’t even invite you back for the finale.
They shouldn’t because you don’t want to be there. It was a waste of time. They thought, Ooh, we’d get some eyeballs on this because Anna Delvey controversial figure. I have, I guarantee you people weren’t dying to see her on the show and wish she would have lasted longer. Just a waste of our time. So glad that she’s gone.
Good reddance, terrible dancers, zero personality, absolutely no charisma. It was a total backfire casting job by Dancing with the Stars this season for sure. This podcast brought to you by way.
