So we know that tonight is obviously a big night in TV for me.
You got Golden Bachelorette. You’ve got Survivor. You’ve got The Challenge. You’ve got Big Brother. And the first, what, six episodes of Love is Blind Season 7, which I’m sure a lot of you have probably already watched, maybe you binged it already, is tonight. Well, I’m going to be gone for most of the night tonight.
Good friend, Jen Sturger, stand up comedian, is performing at the Addison Improv. If you’re in the Dallas Fort Worth area and you want to see a good comedy show, go to the Addison Improv tonight. I’ll be there. Gonna go support Jen. And she is opening for Anna Akana, who is making a name for herself in the comedy world.
And I want to go see them tonight. So I am missing everything tonight and I cannot imagine. I mean, I’m probably going to get home at 30. I am not going to rip through golden bachelorette survivor and big brother before tomorrow. So my podcast tomorrow, the daily roundup tomorrow is not going to cover any of those shows.
I’m just probably going to cover other topics that are happening in pop culture, reality TV. I might read about some stuff. Maybe I’ll watch one of the shows when I get back. But I’m probably not getting back till late and considering I got to get caught up on literally and also the challenge and did I say the challenge?
So you got survivor big brother golden bachelorette the challenge love is blind first six episodes Yeah, I’m I’m probably not getting to love is blind until this weekend. I might not even get to it. I don’t even know Anyway, just wanted to give you a heads up that tomorrow’s daily roundup is not going to cover what most Thursday daily roundups cover, where I do talk about what happened on golden bachelorette.
There won’t be any live tweets during golden bachelorette. I, you know, cover big brother and cover what was the other one? Oh, survivor. So I’m really not going to watch any of those tomorrow night. I don’t think, and honestly, if I come back, I probably would watch survivor first, just because, well, I don’t know.
It all depends on what time I get back, but. The show’s going to last, I think it starts at seven or seven 30. It’s going to last, I would think at least 90 minutes, maybe close to two hours, hang out with Jen and Anna afterwards. Yeah, I don’t know. So just keep that in mind, heading into tomorrow, just not going to have a lot of those shows that I usually have covered on Thursday.
But doing that tonight, can’t wait to support Jen. And it’s really crazy because I saw that, you know, Jen is basically traveling with an Anna as she does five cities in five days. So tonight she’s obviously in Dallas and then tomorrow, tomorrow night, she’s in Houston Friday night, I believe is Atlanta.
And then I think it’s Nashville Saturday. And then like Denver Sunday, it’s like five cities, five days, only two cities. Two of them are in the same state. So, but that’s the life of a standup comedian. It’s really the way it works. And so yeah, I’m really gonna enjoy that. I haven’t seen a Jen since I saw her last perform.
When did I, when did I see her do standup? It was in Huntington beach. Gosh, when was I back in Huntington beach? When was this March or was it last year? Shit. I don’t even remember. Anyway, if you’re in the Dallas Fort Worth area and you want to see comedy. Come out to the Addison improv tonight. It’ll be fun.
And finally, I want to talk about this. You know, me, I love my eighties movies, one of my all time favorites. And one I quote religiously is coming to America. We all know James Earl Jones who played the King Jaffe Joffre died about three weeks ago. Well, Unfortunately, John Amos, who played Cleo McDowell in that movie, son, stay off the drugs, so many classic lines in that movie by John Amos, a character actor that was on so many, he was on TV.
He was in movies, die hard to general it was a grant. He was general grant, right? One of my all time favorite movies as well. So the fact that we Joffre and Cleo McDowell pass away in a span of three weeks, just. That just kind of sucks. You know, you think back to that movie, so many classic lines, you had Cleo McDowell, the father of Lisa McDowell, who was dating Daryl and the first time Eddie Murphy sees Lisa McDowell is at the church function where we see sexual chocolate for the first time.
And Mr. Randy Watson. I have one of those t shirts. I don’t think I’ve worn that one. Oh, let me look at my list. Have I worn my Randy Watson t shirt? I don’t believe I have. So no. Maybe I’ll wear that next week. You know what? I am going to wear it next week. Cause it’s gotta be an honor of, even though John Amos didn’t play Randy Watson, Eddie Murphy did.
I’ll wear that one next week. Anyway, where was I? Yeah, it just sucks coming to America, just one of those movies that, as I, when I saw it in seventh or eighth grade, I probably, I wasn’t as mature, obviously didn’t understand it. Now I understand it a lot better. I or I, as I got older, I was like, appreciated the movie more and watched it over and over and over again.
So rest in peace to John Amos. Anyway, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it. Follow me on Apple podcasts, also rate and review, but you got to hit play. It’s the only way it counts as a download to see the picture of the 10 remaining women in Madrid, or to see either of the two videos, go to my Twitter account from yesterday, or go to my highlights on my Instagram story, where it says grant spoilers, you can’t miss it.
Anyway, thanks again for listening. I really appreciate it. And I will talk
to you tomorrow.
