We are going to go over the Golden Bachelorette, briefly. The Challenge, briefly. Because I haven’t watched it, unfortunately. We have People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive coming out soon.
I don’t know a date that it’s supposed to be released, but I did see an article recently, or yesterday, or the other day. So, they were talking about it, so I think it’s coming out soon, and I’m going to refer you back to what I said this summer in regards to that. We’re also going to talk a little bit more about that people.
com story. Talked about yesterday about how there’s no way I believe it’s true. Groom kicked his mother out of his own wedding because his mother brought, has her plus one, his ex girlfriend who she really liked and wanted him to marry. I’ve got some more on that and I’m going to get to some reader emails that I did not get to yesterday that ones that were sent right around the time I was recording or after I recorded.
We’ll get to all that momentarily. So let’s start briefly with the golden bachelorette. I didn’t really talk about Monday’s episode because, or excuse me, Wednesday’s episode, because yesterday, the only thing I talked about in regards to the golden bachelorette was the fact that the men tell all was taped on Wednesday.
And again, I don’t know how many details from, and I have no idea why, or I have no idea what happened from it, but. I think we can expect it to be quite different than the normal tell all shows because We’ve seen the golden bachelorette every single one of these guys likes the other guy They post all the time with each other.
They’ve never had a bad word to say about the other person There was never any drama during the season So I don’t really know what drama could have happened at the men tell all if I find anything out I certainly will let you know but as for wednesday’s episode, we know I posted Months ago that Jordan Heller got eliminated at four and you could see it.
I felt like I knew Jordan the least between Pascal and chalk and guy, everyone had one, one on one date, right? But I just felt like Jordan, I didn’t know him at all. And I could see why Joan let him go. You’ve got the intriguing Pascal. You’ve got chalk who clearly has been the front runner all season long.
She’s been into him since their first date of the season, when they went to Disneyland and then guy is just kind of there. So it’s, there’s no real drama left this season in terms of who, who she’s going to pick, like, I think if you even took away the spoilers, you could pretty much know where Joan is leaning.
Right. Like, isn’t it kind of obvious all season it’s been chalk and nobody else. I did want to, to briefly bring up the challenge, but I still haven’t got around to watching it. It was at the Mavericks home opener last night, one 20, one Oh nine winners. Mavericks are going to be good again right now in Vegas.
They are the, have the second lowest odds to win the NBA championship behind Boston. Which makes sense, that was your finals last year, Boston versus Dallas. And Dallas, I think, is better than they were last year. They’re a solid team, I don’t think they are NBA championship solid. And with the Western Conference being as good as it is, and Oklahoma City being a year older, and a year where they’ve picked up Alex Caruso and Isaiah Hartenstein, I think they’re going to be tougher to beat come playoff time.
Mavericks did beat them, I believe, in six last year. Regardless, this isn’t the sports daily, so I don’t want to talk too much sports here, but I did not want, basically I was trying to say, I did not watch the challenge because I was out last night and I do want to get around. Obviously I’ll watch it today.
We’ll talk about it probably on Monday, but. I think, well, I know based on their social media accounts, all of them flew to Europe to film the reunion show within the last couple of days. I think it was, they filmed it over the course of two days. So they’re all overseas posting about the reunion show and.
I think it’s weird because the reunion show filming it this week, there’s got to be five or six episodes left in this season, right? So I don’t know. Maybe they show them all. Maybe they tell them all to watch the remaining episodes on the flight over because it’s a long flight. I don’t know how they do it in the MTV world, but they tape their reunion show way earlier than when it airs, because remember when they tape a men tell all, or a women tell all it’s like, 10 days before it airs and it airs before the finale.
The reunion show doesn’t air until after the finale airs on the challenge. One thing I wanted to point out about yesterday’s podcast with Ryan Hoag. Did you know that Ryan Hoag was on the floor this season, season two, he won 20, 000. He was the winner in episode one, won 20, 000, had the most squares and then lost in episode two because apparently he didn’t know cleaning supplies.
And you know, I’ve talked about the floor in the past. It’s entertaining, but it really is. A television show that you watch and you completely shut your brain off because it’s like someone’s expertise is picnic. Okay. And then it’s just two grown adults standing up there on stage and a picture is shown on the screen.
And you just have to identify what you’re looking at. I’m just going off the top of my head. Maybe some of these aren’t particularly accurate, but this is like, if the category is picnic, they’ll show a basket. You just like. Basket and they’ll show a blanket blanket. Then they’ll show utensils, utensils.
Like, I’m like, I cannot believe we’re watching the show. Granted, it gets progressively harder as you continue on. There’s only so many pictures you can show of things at a picnic, but right when the category starts out, no matter what category it is, Usually these people just run through it. Things you see on an airplane and it’s like seat pilot wings.
It’s just like what it’s just, it’s mind numbingly stupid is what that game show is probably why I’ve fallen behind by about four episodes already this season. I’ve only watched episode one. I had to go online before I interviewed Ryan to know that he got eliminated and his category was cleaning supplies.
And he said, I got killed. It was like 19 seconds left. The other contestant had 19 seconds left when Ryan got eliminated. So he wasn’t even close, but I will get to the challenge roundabout way of me saying I will get to the challenge at some point next week. The other thing I wanted to mention is something I brought up this summer because it was just obvious by how much attention he was getting.
So people magazine always does a sexiest man alive edition. I think it comes out in October, November. But probably November, since we’re basically almost at the end of October. And I don’t think it’s coming out before Thursday or maybe it is, maybe it’s early next week. Okay. So just Googling, it looks like November 8th last year was when they named Patrick Dempsey as sexiest man alive, 2023.
So we’re getting it in the next couple of weeks. And the reason I even saw this, cause I was on people. com and I saw them. Interview former winners. Just how did it feel to be named in the interview? Patrick Dempsey and George Clooney and Brad Pitt and all these people. I’m just going to bring you back to what I said this summer.
I said, look, people magazine does this every year. It’s going to be later on this year. I’m telling you right now, I have no insight. I’m not a spoiler guy when it comes to people magazines, sexiest man alive. But I am willing to literally bet everything I own that Glenn Powell is going to be this year’s sexiest, sexiest man alive.
Because what they do is, obviously there’s plenty of good looking men in Hollywood, right? We know this. Plenty of good looking men. But it’s always someone who is topical, who’s done stuff recently. And, you know, Glenn Powell did the movie with Sidney Sweeney this year, he did Twisters. He’s, it’s going to be him!
It’s like, there’s no doubt in my mind, it’s going to be him. And I have no insight to this. I will be stunned if it’s not Glenn Powell. And as I say that, I’m like, well, who else could it possibly be? Who’s a hot name? Who’s good looking older guy. You know who it could be now that I say it now, I’m not going to take away my Glenn Powell pick.
I still think it’s going to be Glenn, but let’s just say on the small chance it’s not Glenn, I could see it being Joshua Jackson because he’s on Dr. Odyssey. Everybody seems to be discovering him now when people like myself and Emily Lingeretta have known about Pacey for 25 years now. So Josh, Joshua Jackson, I could see him winning it.
Absolutely. But I think this is the year of Glenn Powell. He’s just been. In too many things, he’s a guy that women can’t stop talking about. He’s obviously a very good looking man. Oh yeah. Top gun too, even though that was last year, but with top gun, the Sydney Sweeney movie. I’m sorry, I’m forgetting the title of it.
I didn’t watch it, but, and then twisters and just the fact that he’s kind of everywhere. It’s going to be Glenn Powell. I hate to break a burst your bubble, but it’s going to be him. Actually, I don’t think I’m bursting anybody’s bubble. I don’t think anybody’s going to have a problem with Glenn Powell being named sexiest man alive.
