So the Gleb and Brooks Nader story continues because I guess they wanted to continue.
They want us to keep talking about them. Ezra and Riley, who are Dancing with the Stars pros, as we know, put out a TikTok yesterday. Yeah, it was on Ezra’s TikTok video and they confronted Gleb and they said, we’re going to have him tell us the truth right here. And there. Seem to be people on the internet when Brooks and Gleb both posted separate videos this past weekend, people identified it saying they’re in the same house.
And Riley said, will you explain this to me? That’s Brooks’s house. And he said, no, it’s not the same place. She has like a light in the background. My house is exactly the same. It’s a new building and one of those cheap ass, you know, remodel houses. And then. Ezra said, yeah, but you guys have the same house.
And Gleb’s like, no, it’s not the same house. Totally different house. Look that plant. I’ve never seen that plant before. I have had my plant. I’ve had it for a long time. I actually brought it from my old place to my new place. So he denied rumors that they’ve reconciled, but he looked into the camera and he said, Brooks, if you’re watching, I miss you.
To which Riley said to him, you were the one who texted her, Gleb. You were the one who ended it. He said. I did. Then they asked him, why would he break things off if he missed her? And he said, stop recording. I might tell you then in the comments section, Brooks chimed in and said, never been to his house, but I’ve never heard of matching houses.
Hmm. Can I just say something on the record here? Can these two please stop? Maybe I shouldn’t even cover this because by me covering it, it’s pretty much exactly what they want. Which is for people to continue to talk about them. And here I am just annoyed by these two acting like high schoolers on are they, or aren’t they, and just loving the attention that they’re giving to people yet here we are, here I am still talking about it.
Ugh, sheesh. So maybe I should take a deep breath and maybe just wash my hands of Brooks and Glab.
Until the next time they do something together and fuel the speculation that they obviously love to fuel because they’re Brooks and Gleb, you know, what isn’t speculation? Travis Kelsey and Taylor Swift are dating. He had a Monday night football game last night. She had her last us concert. In Indiana over the weekend, Travis went to it cause he had a Monday night football game.
So he went to Saturday’s concert, all the pictures and videos are online of it. So she went to his game last night. They showed her a couple of times, but again, nothing out of the ordinary. It wasn’t crazy. People are going to complain or dissect everything and. You know, she was biting her nails during the game.
I saw that was one story on us weekly and she was biting her nails because she was so nervous. It was a nerve wracking game. 24, 24 went to overtime chiefs wanted an overtime, but Tampa Buccaneers got the cover, which was good. And you have Travis and Taylor. There really isn’t anything to report off last night’s game.
Really? Nothing. What we do want to talk about in is in regards to the Kelsey family is his brother, Jason, because we talked about it on yesterday’s podcast, because it kind of bleeds over into the whole social media aspect and parasocial relationships that people have with people that they see on TV and celebrities and stuff like that.
And if you missed yesterday’s podcast, or you haven’t seen it, the clip that went viral of a guy following Jason, Kelsey. And following right behind him and he called Travis the F word, which was a homosexual slur and for dating Taylor Swift. Jason turns around, grabs the guy’s phone, slams it on the ground, picks it up.
Now, what I didn’t report yesterday because I didn’t realize he said this, but he said it three times in a row after he slammed the guy’s phone down was Who’s the F now? Who’s the F now? Who’s the F now? Basically repeating what that guy said to him. So, Travis Kelsey is on the Monday Night Countdown, which is the ESPN show before the Monday Night Football game, since ESPN and ABC broadcast the Monday Night Football game.
And they opened the show with, last night, Travis Kelsey. Talking about the incident this weekend. He said, everybody has seen what happened. I’m not happy with anything that took place. I’m not proud of it in a heated moment. I chose to greet hate with hate, and I just don’t think that’s a productive thing.
I really don’t. I don’t think it leads to discourse and it’s not the right way to go about doing things. He went on to say in that moment, I fell down to a level I shouldn’t have. So I think the bottom line is I try to live my life by the golden rule. It’s what I’ve always been taught. I try to treat people with common decency and respect, and I’m going to keep doing that moving forward, even though I fell short this week.
We’ve got a game to focus on. I don’t think this is the platform to necessarily go into more detail. And that’s how he ended it, which I’m fine with. I’m fine with him saying that if that’s the way he felt, I’m just saying you didn’t need to apologize to me, Travis. That guy was the exact definition of fuck around and find out.
Cause if you are going to taunt somebody like that, and again, I don’t condone whatsoever, any sort of physical assault. I’m glad he didn’t grab him, punch him, throw him to the ground, but grabbing his phone and slamming it, I’m sorry. That’s what the guy deserved. Could he have turned around and said, Hey man, get out of my face.
Leave me alone. You want to provoke me, you’re not going to provoke me. Or he could have not even turned around and acknowledged the guy and just kept walking. Could he have done that? Yes, he could have. But I’m fine with him not, because he didn’t assault him. I don’t think he owes him money for an iPhone.
I’m, I’m just as, I’m just fine with what Jason Kelsey did because we talk about it all the time when people hide behind a keyboard and hide behind a screen name and just blast away at people that they see on TV or blast away at celebrities and say just the most awful things and there’s zero repercussions from them.
Like what can be done? Instagram, people that leave comments, people that leave captions. I don’t know what Instagram can do. There’s not enough time in the day for Instagram to go through everybody that’s reported who has said, look, look at what they left on my page. Look at what they DM to me. I just can’t imagine Instagram has the manpower to go through every account that has sent a threatening or harsh message.
Criticism of somebody or called them names and been like, all right, well, this person sent you this. Okay. We’re suspending their account There’s just not enough time in the day for them to do that and probably not the manpower to go through all the complaints They probably get from people that have trolled other people online.
So what is the answer? I mean personally, that’s my answer That’s what I think should be done. I think anybody that That crosses the line and then you have to determine, well, what’s the line. If you call somebody a bitch on Instagram, does that mean that you should have your account suspended? You know, what’s, what’s the line that you set as Instagram of, okay, this is harassment.
Is it the number of times you mentioned somebody or DM them or leave a comment? Is it what you say in it? I mean, there’s so many different parameters you’d have to go through, but if Instagram set. Whatever boundary it was and somebody crossed it. Do I think that people’s accounts should be suspended?
Yes, but I also understand it’s not that realistic to do because of what I mentioned earlier, the amount of complaints that they would probably get, the amount of times that they would have to look into stuff. I just don’t think, and the manpower they would have to have on hand to go through everything that somebody sends as a complaint.
I just think they can’t do it. I think obvious ones, death threats. You know, terrorist threats, something along those lines. Hell, but we know those happen all the time in bachelor nation. And I don’t think those people accounts get suspended. So I don’t know what you do. I really don’t. I wish people wouldn’t act this way.
I have my re I have my theories on why people do why this is so prevalent in today’s social media age and why it’s taken off in probably the last 10 years. But I’ll keep those thoughts to myself. I just wish people wouldn’t do it. It doesn’t need to be name calling like that on the internet. There’s absolutely a free country and free speech and you absolutely have the right to criticize somebody, but there’s a difference between constructive criticism or just criticism in general and hate speech.
And we’re getting way too much hate speech on social media versus, Hey, I saw you do this on television. Here’s why I disagree with what you said versus just calling them names and trying to cancel them. It’s ridiculous. It’s getting out of hand and I just don’t know if we’re ever going to come back from it because what’s going to all of a sudden stop trolls from being trolls.
It’s what they do. It’s what they get their kicks off of, you know, and unfortunately, this is where we’re at. Anyway, thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it.
