So this came up in conversation off air last week with Kate Casey.
After we were done recording the podcast, we were talking about Chris Harrison and whatnot. And she asked me, she’s like, what is he doing right now? And it brought up something that I remembered for, I was like, I could have sworn back in like March. Chris Harrison signed on with Dr. Phil’s merit street media.
And I remember seeing like they did a whole press release. It was in all the major entertainment sites that he had signed on with Dr. Phil’s merit street media. And they said he was going to have a morning talk show with his wife, Lauren Zima, and he was going to be hosting a new dating show on that channel.
So I was like, did I? Imagine that I need to go research this to make sure that this is what I heard. And this is what I remember reading. And when it was, cause I was like, this was earlier, like first quarter of the year. And here it was, this was a press release part of deadline. com back on March, Smith, March 6th, it says Chris Harrison will contribute is getting hitched to Dr.
Phil’s new media venture. He’s coming back to host a morning show and a dating series, and we’ll contribute to Dr. Phil prime time. Okay. I’ll be honest with you. I don’t listen to Chris Harrison’s podcast, but I do follow him on Instagram. So I see when he promotes his podcast, and I see he shows up on my stories.
It’s November 12th. This press release came out on March 6th. Where is this morning show that him and Lauren are supposed to be doing? First off, does he still work for Merritt Street Media because nothing I ever see him post, maybe a couple clips, but it seems like it’s been a while, like, and look, I’m not dying to get this answer, but if anybody listens to his podcast, does he ever talk about Merritt Street Media working under Dr.
Phil’s umbrella now and when him and Lauren are going to start this morning show and when this dating show is going to air on Merritt Street Media? Has any, has he ever brought this up? Cause I just find it odd that this was part of a press release on March 6th. And here we are eight months later, and there’s no morning show that I’ve seen because if he had a morning show with Lauren, he’d be posting that stuff on his socials all the time.
So clearly that’s not happening. And same with this dating show that he apparently has. On Merritt street media. I haven’t seen this anywhere. Now it could have been filmed this summer and they’re waiting to release it in 2025. That’s very possible. And maybe the morning show doesn’t start till 2025, but it just, I don’t know.
It’s just weird that on March 6th, this was announced and he, eight months later, he still doesn’t have a morning show with his wife. I don’t know. Maybe he doesn’t even work for Merritt street anymore. Only thing I see on his Instagram is what he posts with Lauren. He does a lot of ads and he has his podcast.
That’s it. So, maybe he’s not even with Merritt Street anymore. I have no idea. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t imagining things, and by golly, I wasn’t. And, this press release says he’s gonna start a morning show with his wife, Lauren Zima, and host a new dating show, and, yeah. Yeah. I get it. They wanna be, you know, the Kelly and Mark of the Dr.
Phil channel. Good luck with that. I can guarantee you 99 percent of America doesn’t have a fucking clue what channel Merit Street Media is on whatever cable provider they have. Something I brought up this summer and I brought up again last week, a couple of weeks ago and I was like, I think it’s coming soon.
And that is the Sexiest Man Alive by People Magazine. The announcement is coming today. Now by the time I’m recording this, which is midnight on, it’s a little past midnight now on November 12th. I don’t know when it comes out. Probably first thing in the morning. You know what? Let me go to people. com right now and make sure they didn’t like posted it and posted at midnight.
Let’s see people’s sexiest people. com. It would be the front page story on people. com. I don’t see it anywhere on here. Yeah, they haven’t announced it yet as a as I’m recording this. So it’s very possible. We’re going to get it by the time you wake up or it’ll be a first thing in the morning. But wait a second.
Okay. Selena Gomez’s boyfriend, Benny Blanco, he is on, he’s in this issue for people’s sexiest man alive, Benny Blanco. Look, I’m not Brad Pitt, nor do I think I’m the Elephant Man either, but I can acknowledge a good looking man. Benny Blanco is not. What is he doing? As a possible, he’s obviously going to win it, but he’s in the issue.

put it this way? If Benny Blanco wasn’t dating Selena Gomez, he wouldn’t even be a blip on the radar of someone they would even consider throwing in that magazine for sexiest man alive. Just saying anyway, I’ve told you for three months, I think it’s going to be Glenn Powell. I have no insider information on this.
I just know how this works. They take somebody who’s kind of the buzz in Hollywood. Good looking has recent stuff that people talk about. I mean, Glenn Powell did the movie with Sydney Sweeney. Every woman thinks he’s a hunk. The guy is a hunk. He’s a great looking guy. I’m telling you if he doesn’t win it, I’ll be stunned.
He’s going to win it. And if he doesn’t win it, I’m probably not even going to bring it up, but no, I obviously I’ll bring it up. If he doesn’t win, I’ll be like, Oh, I guess not. But regardless, I’ll tell you right now, if Glenn Powell doesn’t win people, sexiest man alive today, he’s going to win it next year or the year after.
It’s just, it’s a given he’s going to win it. You could just tell he is exactly who they pick for something like this. And if he doesn’t win it this year, he’s winning it next year or the year after. Because he is one of the IT guys in Hollywood now. As you know, next weekend, not this upcoming weekend, but next weekend, Wicked drops.
The Broadway play made into a movie, Ariana Grande is in it, Jeff Goldblum is in it, Bowen Yang is in it, Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh. Anyway, I didn’t even know this until I started reading IT in this story. I didn’t realize this is a two parter. Wicked part one opens next weekend. I didn’t know there was a part two.
I thought there was going to be one movie, but wicked part two opens next November, right around the same time, November 26th of 2025. Great. Anyway, I saw the play. It’s one of the few plays I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen, what have I seen on Broadway? I’ve seen, I saw Phantom. I’ve seen wicked. And I think that’s it.
Ah, God, I want to say I’ve seen another one maybe when I was a kid, but I don’t remember it. I definitely want to see the back to the future one. It’s coming to Dallas in March. Of 2025. So I’m probably going to see it here. But anyway, the point about wicked is, did you see what happened in regards to their collectibles?
So they have alpha, but dolls and they have whatever are you on a Grande’s character name is wicked, which Glinda, right? She’s Glinda, right? Yeah. So Mattel, the toy company had alpha, Elphaba and Glinda dolls that they kids could purchase, but on the box for the kids, it directed them to a website that let’s just say, isn’t made for kids.
It directed them to wicked. com when the official landing page for the movie is wicked movie. com. Now, of course. No, not because I’m some sort of pervert, but I was like, wait a second. What did kids see if they happened to dial up wicked. com on their URL? I mean, I’m looking at it right now at the top. It says 6, 000 premium award winning videos, wicked.
It’s got two clothed women and a guy dressed as like a gigolo. There’s no nudity here. Three day trial, two 95, 30 days, 1995, 30 days, streaming and downloads. 29, 95. What I’m saying is they made it seem, I understand that they’re making it seem like it brings you to a porn site. Well, I mean, technically yes, as a porn site, but I thought they were saying like kids were immediately seeing videos and stuff or nudity.
It brings you to a site that is selling obviously porn videos. You have to choose a plan to what you want to do. You have to type in an email, create an email, create an email, set up a password, pay. I would think most kids who have a Elphaba and Glinda doll. If they happen to look on the box and it said, Oh, I go to wicked.
com. They’re not purchasing anything here because they don’t have a credit card being that age. I don’t know. It seems like they made a bigger deal out of this than they should. I understand Mattel had to, you know, issue a, Hey, do not go to wicked. com. But it, the story actually sounded a lot worse than it was, is what I’m saying.
For those that don’t want to go to wicked. com, yeah. Go to wicked movie. com. Right. Is that what I said? Yeah. So that’s the website. Anyway, I just, I just thought like, Oh my gosh, they directed them straight to a porn site and some eight year old is going to be looking at things that they shouldn’t be looking at.
That’s not it at all. It brings you a page to sign up to be able to access 6, 000 premium award winning videos according to their headlines. I’m guessing a child who has a doll doesn’t have a credit card. To be punching this stuff in and ordering something call me crazy. Anyway, thank you all for listening I really appreciate it.
