As mentioned in the open, it was announced yesterday.
There will be a season 12 of Vanderpump rules, but all the people that were part of the legacy cast, James Kennedy, Lala, Ariana, Katie, Sheena, Tom, and Tom. They all found out the day before they are not coming back. It’s only going to be. A brand new cast and it’s going to be the new workers at sir, which my guess is they have, they’ve said they haven’t even started filming season 12 and they haven’t even released the cast list yet.
So that means that there will probably be some people that show up at sir. For the sole reason of trying to get on the show. I doubt everyone at sir right now are the only people that are going to possibly be part of the show. But I guess this is to be expected the way season 11 ended, but it’s still very weird.
And I don’t know how this is going to work. Are they going to try it for one season and be like, Hey, nobody cares. I. Are we ever going to get an appearance by the OG cast? Anybody in the OG cast? Now it was announced yesterday that in season two of the Valley, we will see appearances by Lala, we will see an appearance by Schwartz and we will see an appearance by Sheena now.
It didn’t go into detail. I don’t think they’re going to become full time cast members. And we don’t even know the extent of how much any of those three are going to be in the Valley season two. My guess is they will make appearances here and there, each of them, but there’s no way they’re going to be full time cast members.
My question then becomes, well, what does someone like Sandoval do? It can’t be just his band. My guess is Sandoval is going to become a reality TV lifer. He’s already done special forces. We know he’s part of season three of the traders, which comes out in January that filmed over the summer. I could see him being on the future seasons of house of villains or.
He is just going to make the rounds because I don’t think this guy has anything else that he could possibly do. He’s a reality TV guy and he needs reality TV. But what he doesn’t understand is reality TV doesn’t need him. If he keeps getting offers, I’m sure he’s going to take them because I don’t know what’s Schwartz and Sandy is now closed or it’s closing at the end of the year.
He doesn’t have Vanderpump rules anymore. How much could his band possibly be making when they tour? Probably not a lot. So he’s got to get money for reality TV gigs. And there’s so many reality TV shows out there and they kind of all recycle. They’re all their casts. You know, here’s Dwight Howard on special forces.
Here’s Dwight Howard on dance with the stars. We’ve seen this before. It’s the same type of people every season. Hell, maybe Santa ball’s on next season of dancing with the stars. You just never know. There are reality shows out there that are willing to cast him. And you know, he’s going to accept it because what he’s out of the restaurant business now, and he doesn’t have a reality TV show traders is already over.
I’m sure he’s already gotten paid for it, or maybe they don’t get paid until the show is done airing. I don’t know how it works. He definitely needs work. Does he have a podcast? I’m sure he does. Everybody’s got a podcast, but. I thought the interesting thing in the story was the source said there had been a long pause in production and nothing had really changed among the cast since the reunion.
Everyone was still stuck in their feelings and refusing to bend. The network felt there was no path forward with the group in that capacity, which makes you think, well, they killed their own show. Then these people couldn’t make up outside the show. If you would have made up or at least pretended to make up and faked it, maybe it could have got a season 12.
But the fact that they were all going on podcasts and trashing each other and basically saying, no, I can never be friends with them again. And this person saying they can never be friends with them again, or no, I haven’t spoken to them. It’s like, okay, well then why are we going to do a show about you guys?
If you don’t, if you don’t talk to each other, so looks like, well, we know the new season, season 12 is going to be the group, whoever works at sir. And it’s going to go back to its original format. You know, me. I’ve only seen the last three episodes of Season 10 and all of Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules.
I’m not a lifer. I know what it’s about. I know it started out as all these people worked at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant and then it turned into none of them worked at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant for probably the last, what, two, three seasons? Something like that. And it was just all about their lives outside of Sir.
They would just shoot certain things at the restaurants and stuff like that. But they’re going to go back to, I guess, what made the show famous privy. This is almost like a reboot of, Hey, we did 11 seasons, started out with people that all worked together that had fights and hooking up at my restaurant.
Well, now we’re going to do it again. Just starting in season 12. Do people want it? Are they going to care about these people? I mean, it’s all going to be made in casting, but. Yeah, it’s now gonna center back around a bunch of hot 20 year old, mid 20 to late 20 year old people who work at a restaurant that hook up with each other.
I don’t think it’s gonna be reinventing the wheel here for season 12 of Vanderpump Rules. I’m really curious when it does air, because I think The Valley is going to be the one that Vanderpump Rules people really, really latch on to. I love season 1 of The Valley, and If you’ve heard Brittany on interviews, if you’ve heard Alex Baskin, who is the, I think the co EP on that show, if you’ve heard them talk about it and it could be them just promoting their own show.
Brittany Taylor said, whatever season it was of Vanderpump Rules where she found out Jax was cheating on her and she left him and all that stuff, that was apparently a really big deal in Vanderpump Rules world, she calls that a 2 compared to what season 2 of The Valley is on a scale of 1 to 10. She said, 1 to 10, it is a 10 out of 10.
If you thought my season where I found out all that stuff about Jax was crazy reality television, just wait until you get to season 2 of The Valley. It is nuts. Again, I could just be promoting the show, wanting people to tune in, but I I’m looking forward to it. We don’t have a start date for it yet, but we know it’s probably coming in the first quarter of 2025.
And I want to end with this. I ended, or I began the podcast talking about the third topic that I wanted to discuss, which was the fact that by the time you’re listening to this, Based on what they put out on Instagram chicks in the office, interviewed Kelly Flanagan on their podcast. I guess it was released last night at midnight.
That’s what the Instagram post said on when Kelly Flanagan promoted it. And she is going to talk openly for the first time since she put out that Instagram story. I think it was around a week ago, right? Where she put out that Instagram story saying, I just really, basically. In so many words, she found out that the guy that she was dating, his name is Ari Raptus, was cheating on her.
And as she found out through women, supporting women online who came to her. In her DMS and told her about him. Now, I don’t know if that meant they were telling her, Hey, I’m hooking up with him too, right now. Or they were just filling her in on his behavior. I don’t know. I might not even listen. I it’s not that I’m not going to listen to the interview today.
I’m definitely going to read some sort of recap because this is a. Spilling tell all podcasts that she’s doing, because I reached out to Kelly when she posted that Instagram story, not to say, Hey, watch on the podcast. She knows I want her on the podcast. I’ve been trying to get her on for a year. I just said, Hey, sorry.
You had to find out that way. You know, can’t wait to hear exactly what’s going on. She actually responded to me the other day and she said, I’m going on a podcast Tuesday. You’ll hear all about it on Tuesday. And I asked a couple of questions, not about like, give me the details first. I didn’t want to know the details first.
I was just asking kind of what I just brought up. Like, did this happen? Did these women that contacted you tell you, Oh my God, I had no idea you were with him because I’ve been with him the last and, and timelines were intersecting. And she said, it’s hard to explain over text. That’s why I’m doing a podcast.
But you will hear everything. I said, cool. And, and I said, I reiterated, Hey, you know, I would love to have you on. She goes, I know. She goes, I don’t know how many podcasts I’m going to do. I just need to see how this goes. And then I’ll determine if, and when I do more podcasts. So it’s a possibility you might have her on.
I’d love to have her on. She’s very private. The fact that she’s doing this podcast, considering
she never, like I said, at the beginning of this podcast, she never really talked about Ari. She posted with them. We saw pictures. Maybe she posted some Instagram stories of videos, but she was never someone that we knew everything that was going on in their lives. We just didn’t. So she clearly was affected by whatever she found out.
