I might’ve manifested this next story into existence when I think it was no more than a week ago. I was talking about the whole Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, Suri Cruz.
Relationship. And I just have always found it weird that Katie Holmes has never talked about one, her marriage to Tom Cruise to Tom Cruise has never talked about the fact that he has a daughter in Surrey cruise. We never see pictures of them together. They’re never hanging out together. I think it’s pretty much established now that.
People know that Tom Cruise is not with his daughter. He has no say in her life. I don’t think he ever even sees her. And it’s all because of his Scientology teachings. I think Katie Holmes has basically separated herself from him, but yet. She’s never done an interview talking about why her and Tom broke up what you know What is Tom’s relationship with Suri?
And I think that speaks volumes Well a report coming out this past weekend said that Allegedly Suri since she had recently turned 18 had become a millionaire after her trust run from Tom Cruise Recently kicked in now. I’m sure a lot of people saw the story But again, when you see stories like this, headlines like this, you might want to look into the whole wait, where is this coming from?
And it came from the daily mail. And it seems like the daily mail will pretty much post anything. They’re on par with the sun. Like they just start so much stuff and you figure it. Look, Katie Holmes has never, ever talked about any sort of relationship with Tom Cruise. Never talked about the divorce.
Doesn’t even really talk about her daughter. We see pictures of her and her daughter all the time, but pretty crazy that Katie Holmes actually took her time out of her day to post about this. She. Took to her Instagram stories And took a screenshot of the story from the Daily Mail and over it in her caption, wrote completely false Daily Mail.
You can stop making stuff up enough. So, I mean, that’s a pretty big deal coming from Katie Holmes, because how many times have false headlines been posted about Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise, her marriage, their child, their child. This is the first I know of. Where she ever took any time out of her day to address it.
And for her to go on her Instagram and put that out there and basically call the daily mail out and say, stop making stuff up enough. I mean, good for her. I mean, applaud Bravo, Katie. Thank you. Someone taking a stand against these garbage tabloids. The sun does it too. Let’s see what they come up with next.
I’m sure they’re going to come up with something tomorrow to see Katie Holmes. Do that. I think that’s pretty cool. Because she doesn’t say peep about anything. Hell, even when she was married to Tom Cruise, I don’t remember her ever doing an interview, talking about their relationship, which is just bizarre in the Hollywood world, because pretty much every couple when they’re together, I can understand after the fact that divorce happens, whether it was a amicable divorce or whether it was contentious, I can understand after the fact, not wanting to talk about things, but how many couples in Hollywood, when they are married, especially those two that were married for five years.
Never gave an interview. And all you got to do is put two and two together and realize why an interview between those two never happened either separately, where someone sits down with Katie and says, Hey, talk about your marriage to Tom. How has it been? Never nothing. I wonder why that was. And finally, this is something that if you follow me for long enough, you know, one of my all time favorite shows.
And I can honestly say I’ve probably seen every episode since high school is Saturday night live. Obviously I don’t necessarily watch it every Saturday night this week. I did. I, I started watching it around midnight, but I’ve recorded it ever since I was in high school. It’s just something that I’ve always been interested in and.
I always watch it either. Watch it when it’s airing. I’ll watch it Sunday afternoon or maybe Sunday morning before football starts, but I’ll always get around to watching it at some point and new episode. This past Saturday, Paul Mescal was the host, not familiar with his work. I know he was in gladiator too, but I haven’t seen it.
So regardless, I’m watching the episode and the cold open, which is the first sketch of the night before the host comes out was they brought back Dana Carvey, who had been doing Biden and he did Elon Musk for an episode, but they brought him back for one of his infamous characters, and that was church lady.
And it was painfully unfunny. Look, I didn’t think church lady was all that funny in the nineties because it looked, you can pick apart SNL and be like, look, there are so many recurring characters that some of you might not find remotely funny. Or just didn’t get and didn’t understand so many, because that’s what SNL does.
They will take a character and beat it into the ground. Some of you may not have found the Will Ferrell, Chris Kattan guys at the night club, not at the Roxbury guys, remotely funny. I mean, they did the same thing every time they were in a sketch. Same thing with other characters. Church lady for me is one of those and to bring it back in 2024.
I get, it was more about the guests, you know, Sarah Sherman, is that her name? Doing Matt gates, Matt gates, pretty funny just because of the makeup job. And you know, a hundred Biden, it was more about bringing on the guests, Hunter Biden, Juan Soto, who great timing SNL the next day he signs a with the Mets, which is what I believe they alluded to in the episode.
But it’s more about the guests part of it. And church lady is just like the filler piece, but I just, there is nothing. I don’t know. I don’t find anything funny about church lady. I didn’t in the nineties. Isn’t that special? And who are you? Satan. And it’s like, I don’t know. I don’t get it. It’s not funny.
And the other thing was in the nineties, he at least sold it more. He was so into the character. It almost felt like he was just mailing it in on Saturday night. It’s just one issue I had with it. I was just surprised they brought they must’ve just been hurting or because just. The lines from church lady, you know, bringing on Matt Gates as a guest you know, impersonating him, impersonating Hunter Biden, that stuff was funny, but the whole church lady, 2024, there’s just nothing remotely funny.
