It’s kind of unreal when you think about it. We’ll get to all that momentarily. All right. So let’s get going made the 50 percent deposit yesterday. And I can now say, you know, the date, May 31st, 2025 will be the ninth annual reality. Steve fan appreciation party in Las Vegas. However, next year, it’s also doubling as a 50th birthday party because that will be on my 50th birthday.
I’m going to say this numerous times over the next six months, but please, please, please do not get me anything. I do not want any sort of gift. Just throwing that out there. I know that day will be my birthday. And I know that I am throwing a party on that day, but I don’t want anything. Please do not get me anything with that set.
So party May 31st, 2025. In Las Vegas, it is going to be at the House of Blues, which is in the Mandalay Bay Hotel. You can stay anywhere you want, but it’s going to be at the Mandalay Bay Hotel. There are two things about this year’s party that are different than the previous eight parties that we’ve had.
Number one, This is going to be four hours long. It’s going to start at 7 PM. Usually it’s been eight to 11. This one is going to start at 7 PM because from seven to eight o’clock, there will be a live podcast doing a live show there. I don’t know who the guests are going to be. I mean, Dave Neal will be in attendance.
I’m sure I’ll bring him up on stage. Courtney’s going to be there. She’s all batch is going to be there trying to get a couple others to come. Might even do a Q and a, cause we’re going to have wireless mics throughout, we’re going to have wireless mics at the event. The room that we have rented at the house of blues can hold up to 400 people.
I don’t expect 400 people to show up for this party. I have a lot more room this year, so that’s the one thing that’s different. It’s going to be a four hour party because the first hour is going to be a live podcast. And then once we’re done with the podcast, we’ll just kind of go straight into the.
Reception where we just kind of mingle there will be prizes given out as well, raffle stuff like that. The other thing that is different. Then the previous eight years is because this one is actually happening on my birthday. I’m going to do a theme party and it is going to be an eighties theme.
Now, do you necessarily have to wear a costume or wear something eighties? No, but I will be, I’m going to ask a lot of people. I hope you will, but it’s not like I’m not going to let you in if you don’t. You’re invited to an 80s themed party. You don’t have to go all out. You don’t have to come up with some elaborate 80s costume, but I will say that it is 80s themed.
And I hope people participate. There will be a costume contest where I will give out prizes for the top three costumes as judged on by myself. Dave Courtney, she’s all batch. I haven’t told them this yet, but I don’t think they’ll have a problem. If we’re coming to an agreement of who has the best costume of the night, who has second best and third best, but you will be given prizes for the costume party.
So that is it. It is going to be at house of blues. This is the best venue we’ve ever had. We have a whole room to ourselves. There is a stage it seats. I think they said it seats 160. And holds up to 400. So that’s what I’m roughly expecting. One 50 to one 60. I. You know, I will keep obviously a tally. Some of you have already RSVP and sent me your information and you’re already on the list from this point forward, I will be promoting it on and off, probably going to create a video to put on my Instagram story and put it in my highlights because why not?
We got six months to book this thing, but it is also first come first serve. So if you haven’t heard me in past years. Once again, this is how it works. You email me at Steve at reality, steve. com. If you are flying in and you are out of state, which usually it’s about 75 percent of the party is coming in from out of state.
You just, your confirmation to the party is your flight information. Just send me your flight itinerary and that’s your confirmation to the party. If you’re driving in your confirmation is your hotel room. If you’re a Vegas local, you just have to promise me that you’re not going to flake because if I put you on the list, that means you’re holding up spots for somebody to go.
So. Last couple of years, it’s been very good. Nobody has ended up canceling at least at last minute to where I held a spot and all of a sudden nobody shows up for that spot, but probably looking at 150 to 175 this year, that’s, I know I’m going to have more on my side. I have family coming this year. It looks like, or next year for the party because it is my birthday, but this is still more a fan appreciation party than it is a birthday party, but there will be.
Things there, obviously that recognize I’m turning 50 that day, but it is still first and foremost, the annual fan appreciation party. And I’m really excited. I’ve been planning this for about three or four months and I was just waiting to make the deposit just to sure they, they had set aside May 31st, 2025.
And they had told me it was mine. And. Until I made the 50 percent deposit and I made it yesterday. So it is now locked in. Nobody else can grab that date. And the house of blues has actually four different areas, apparently, or it’s three or four. So we have one of them and you’ll know once you get there on where to go, but we have our own room set up for us.
It’s got a stage. It’s a really cool room. Looking forward to it. There will be as. The case with the previous eight years of parties, open beer and wine bar, all four hours appetizers served all four hours. I don’t have to lock in the appetizers until a month before. And I don’t really, I know their menu right now, but they say their menu changes.
So about 30 days before I’ll lock in the appetizers, but there’s going to be about four or five different appetizers that I’m going to have that some will be at a station and some will be walking around. So. That is it. That is the plan. Again, if you want to book your flight now, you can, and nothing’s stopping you.
Just know it’s first come first serve usually fills up pretty quickly, but since I have more people coming this year, probably won’t fill up as as quickly, but yeah, they’re flying in your confirmation, your flight itinerary is your confirmation into the party. If you’re driving in your hotel, confirmation is your confirmation into the party and Vegas locals.
Just promise me you won’t flake. And you will show up. So when you email me, let me know the names of everybody coming. And once you get, you’re not officially on the list until I receive your flight or hotel confirmation. So if you want to get on the list now, the earlier you book quicker, you get on the list.
Simple as that. I don’t charge anything. There was a debate because this party’s costing me a little bit more this year, whether I was going to charge like 20 bucks a person, but I was saying don’t need that. To put towards the party. It is what it is. I’ve never charged. I never, I don’t think I ever will unless we get up to a level where I almost need to, but really looking forward to this.
I, I knew last year when I’m staying at Mandalay that I wanted to have it at house of blues. And so I’ve been going back and forth with the manager there about. How much does it cost? What do we do? The one thing though, that this party will not have is I wanted to live stream on my YouTube channel, the show for people who couldn’t make it.
However, there is a hefty fee. You got to pay to do any sort of live broadcast. We can do a broadcast within this show or within the. Place that we rented, but just for the people there, I can’t broadcast it out to the public unless I want to pay, Oh, a five figure fee. And I was just like, no, I’m not going to pay an extra five figure fee to broadcast this live on my YouTube channel.
For those that can’t make it, I’m sorry. I would have loved to, but I can’t because it costs and tried to work around it. And they said, sorry, any broadcast that is going out to the public. Unfortunately we have to charge a broadcast fee. I’m like, okay, oh well, but there it is. May 31st, 2025 9th annual fan appreciation party along with my 50th birthday party starts at seven o’clock.
There will be a live show, a live podcast happening on stage. And what else? It’s a theme party, an 80s theme party. I’m also thinking we might have a DJ playing 80s music all night, not blaring enough to where you get the, you get the feel of an 80s party. So anyway just wanted to relay that to everybody.
