Alright, let’s talk about Survivor last night, because this was really interesting. And just as I am confused about the Gary and Teresa breakup, more so now than I was even before the stories came out yesterday, Survivor has me a little bit confused.
I went to Twitter last night, I saw some things that maybe cleared it up for me, but I’m not sure. The first thing that confused me was At the beginning of the episode, Tini realizes she was left out of a plan and she was just like, oh my gosh. So, Andy pulls her aside and doesn’t tell her about Operation Italy.
He says he thought of the plan basically on the way to tribal council. And teeny bought it. And then he brought teeny to Sam and Genevieve and Sam and Genevieve had concocted the story, I guess, earlier with Andy to go along with it and make it seem like they concocted the plan, not the plan of operation Italy, but just this idea of going after Caroline.
Did not tell teeny about operation Italy, but then later on in the episode, before that particular tribal council, teeny mentions the fact that. There was an Operation Italy. And I was like, wait, at what point did she find out about Operation Italy? Because Andy never told her. And I don’t think I remember seeing Sam or Genevieve tell her.
Now she might’ve figured out, Oh, these two, these three concocted this plan. But when was the title of operation Italy ever brought out to teeny? She mentioned it later on in the episode. And I was like, wait, when did she ever hear the phrase operation Italy? We’ve never seen her hear the phrase. So maybe it happened off camera, but you would think that would have been an important part.
So that was a little confusing to me. The other thing that had me a little bit confused was this. We know Andy went home in the first tribal last night, an hour into the episode. So we have five people left. We’ve got Sam, we’ve got Genevieve, we’ve got teeny, we got Sue and we’ve got Rachel. Rachel wins immunity and in her mind or at, from the point in the second hour of the show, basically once Rachel won immunity, Sam was like, well, they’re coming after me, but why don’t I just tell teeny?
Genevieve’s idol is fake, which was true. He wasn’t lying. We’ve known it was fake for two episodes. I’ll tell teeny it’s fake. She’ll go tell Sue and Rachel that it’s fake and they’ll vote Genevieve out to get the heat off me because I think they’re coming after me. They, if I didn’t tell them it was fake, they’re under the impression that Genevieve’s idol is real.
So I’m the next target. Sue. Teeny and Rachel are all voting for me because they think Genevieve has an idol. So I’ll say, Hey, it’s fake. I help make it. So he does, he does tell teeny teeny goes to Rachel and Sue and says, Sam just told me the idol is fake. And Rachel kept telling her, I don’t believe him. I think he’s doing this to trick us because if he gets us to believe, she felt that he was saying that, that the idol was fake.
So they’d put votes on Genevieve. The idol is actually real. Sam and Genevieve would then vote for Teenie and she’d be gone. So I was like, okay, I understand their paranoia, but then at tribal council, Rachel and Sue were the ones that voted for Genevieve, and Teenie voted for Sam. And Teenie was the one saying, Sam told me Genevieve’s idol is fake, and I believe him.
So I was like, wait, what happened here? So the three votes that went on Genevieve that got her eliminated were Rachel, Sue, and Sam. Teeny and Genevieve voted for Sam. So Genevieve leaves three votes to two. So then as I was scrolling on Twitter last night, teeny tweets out, I knew Rachel and Sue were voting Genevieve and put one on Sam just to make sure was planned.
And then teeny reposted somebody tweeting. I think Rachel was always voting Genevieve and teeny is saying they voted Sam in case Sam voted for them. Meaning Sam voted for teeny instead of Genevieve, because then that’s a force, a revote instead of teeny going out with one vote against them. Okay. I understand that, but I guess I’m confused because the show never showed us how Rachel went from, I think he’s lying to us too.
I’m going to vote for him. So did she think he’s lying, but just to cover herself, that’s why her and Sue, Rachel and Sue voted for Genevieve. I’m totally baffled by what happened. I guess there’s stuff that we just weren’t shown, but if Teenie says, I knew Rachel and Sue were voting for Genevieve, my question is at what point were they voting for Genevieve and why, when Rachel kept telling Teenie, I think he’s lying to us, I think the idol is real essentially is what she’s saying.
I don’t know if those words ever came out of her mouth, but. Teeny saying Sam told me Genevieve’s idol’s fake and Rachel says I don’t believe him meaning you think Genevieve’s idol is real So then if teeny going into the tribal council knew that Rachel and Sue were voting for Genevieve At what point did it change and at what point did Rachel believe?
Unless she still didn’t believe it at that point And so she votes for Genevieve. Sue votes for Genevieve. My brain hurts. I’m sorry. I’m done trying to be even, even with teeny’s tweet. I’m still a little confused. Maybe someone else can explain it to me better. So, so basically my question is because how thinking back to the tribal council last night, wasn’t Rachel telling teeny at the tribal council?
No, he’s lying. I don’t believe the idol’s fake. Didn’t she whisper that to her? I don’t believe him. Maybe I missed something. I don’t know what’s going on. I don’t know what’s going on anywhere. Gary tells me I’m not allowed to make a comment about their breakup because you don’t know what someone’s going through.
Well, and I don’t know what’s going on either in survivor world. I’m just so confused. Oh, my brain hurts. Anyway, read her email that I got yesterday. Hey Steve, how many times this week have you called people in Vegas to confirm your reservations? You should give us a weekly or monthly update on your calls to Vegas regarding your party.
We are invested. Okay, I will say this, and you’re going to be surprised by this answer. The answer is zero, but the number of emails I’ve been doing this time far outweigh phone calls. My contact at House of Blues, I’ve emailed every day for probably the last eight days, some sort of question regarding what can I, you know, because obviously I want to decorate it as well.
It’s going to be like, what can I bring? What can I do? What’s going to be provided? All this stuff. I just keep going back, you know, send me the contract, all this and that. I read the contract. I have questions about the contract. So really no calls. And then obviously for rooms and stuff like that, I’m dealing with my casino host at Mandalay Bay because I’ve got a lot of family going to this party next year.
You know, in the past, the only family members that have ever gone to my party have been my niece and my mother in the past. Wow. This year or next year for the party, for the first time, my sister’s going, her husband’s going. My mom and my dad are going, assuming my, I think my dad will be healthy by then, six months from now.
Like I said, I have a first cousin that lives in New York who has the same birthday as me. So she’s coming like as far as I know right now, she has said that she wants to go so things can change, but that’s the plan. So it’s just been a lot of emails, no phone calls yet. I won’t get into the phone call aspect of it probably until later on in the process.
As we get closer, that’s when the phone calls will start. We’ll start hot and heavy of me just calling Vegas and checking in. So, and honestly, you know what, when I say I call Vegas, it’s more about Venetian stuff. I don’t know why I’m closer to my casino host at Venetian than I am to my casino host at Mandalay.
I don’t know if I’ve ever spoken to my Mandalay casino host on the phone, to be honest with you. My Venetian host probably is sick of me by now. So I, maybe there won’t be many phone calls. I I’m probably gonna have to have at least one or two phone calls with my contact at house of blues, just to go over everything, but that’s probably not going to be till April or beginning of May next year, when we kind of finalize things anyway, just wanted to answer that reader email for you.
I’m going to save the Michael Jackson story for tomorrow. Cause this is totally bizarre. It’s not timely at all. Obviously Michael Jackson has been dead for. A long time, but it’s just a really weird story and we’ll get to that tomorrow. So thank you all for listening. I really appreciate it.
