You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality Steve Podcast. I am your host, Reality Steve. Thank you all for tuning in on this Monday. A good show for you today. I’ve got some advice slash commentary to give to Laura Owens. Laura Owens is the woman that sued Clayton Eckerd over, well you know, the Laura Owens Clayton Eckerd case.
She Released a three and a half minute trailer for her new podcast. I want to offer some advice and some commentary on that. We’re also going to talk about the golden globes, Nikki Glaser, how she did, how the monologue was. Plus I wanted to point to a feature out to you that I thought was excellent. And I think those are probably going to be the two biggest things we talk about today.
And we will get to all that momentarily. So let’s begin. As you heard me say in the open, Laura Owens, the woman behind the paternity scandal for, in the Clayton Eckerd story had hinted that she was going to start a podcast and she has said a lot of things that she has never followed through on kind of like her lawyer, David Gingras.
And it looks like. I mean, anybody can put out a trailer to a podcast. Let’s see what she follows up with. I’m assuming she’s going to follow up with episodes of her podcast. Well, her podcast is called Somebody Told You. And essentially what she is getting at is she wants to talk to people who have been silenced, who’ve had their stories, Turned around and their words used against them.
You know, this is typical Laura playing the victim card here. And I want to directly quote what she said. She released a three and a half minute teaser trailer for this podcast. I don’t know how many times a week it’s coming out. Maybe it’s a monthly podcast. I don’t know when the first episode is dropping.
What I can tell you without having heard anything other than this three and a half minute trailer. It will be a podcast where she makes herself out to be the victim every single episode. This is what she does. She’s become a professional at, I do want to offer her since she’s jumping back into the podcast space.
She had one for a while with her mother that I think 13 people listened to, but she’s jumping back into the podcast world. And I wanted to, as somebody who’s been doing this. Every week for eight years. And then for the last two and a half years has produced a daily roundup podcast. And for the last one and a half years has produced also a sports podcast.
So for the last one and a half years. Now actually we’re at two years now with the sports daily. So yeah, 2022, July of 2022 is when I started the daily roundup. January of 2023 is when I started the sports daily. So for two years, I produced 11 podcasts a week before that it was for, for six months before that it was six podcasts a week.
So I feel like I have some sort of expertise to pass along to Laura, a very, very close and dear personal friend of mine. So in her. Three and a half minute teaser trailer. She says this, she says her podcast is going to be quote, standing up to the lies, the misconceptions and the narratives other people create.
I had lab verified HCG blood and urine tests to prove my pregnancy. There was also a positive pregnancy test Clayton bought and watched me take. And he doesn’t dispute any of this. Laura, do you realize by you just laying that out, how less credible you sound about being pregnant? That was what you just told your podcast audience about how you believed you were pregnant.
I had lab verified HGC. I had blood and urine tests and also a positive pregnancy test Clayton bought. In that statement, nowhere is there anything about actually visiting a doctor, actually having a doctor tell you you were pregnant. Look, this isn’t news to anybody who’s been following this. How many times over the last year and a half have we said Laura, because you had a positive pregnancy test and HCG levels that were raised a little bit does not mean that you were pregnant and if you were pregnant and you believed you were pregnant, maybe you should go see a doctor.
So for you to throw that out there in your very first teaser trailer, you literally just made yourself. Then she goes on to say, when she was talking about the trial that she had to endure in June of 2023, she said, the judge’s father attended the hearing and sat with Clayton supporters and the judge’s sister publicly follows Clayton on Instagram.
I was just waiting for what was coming next. And you realize Laura that nothing about that. Is wrong because you might think, and your lawyer might think the judge judge Mata is biased doesn’t mean she is, and doesn’t mean the ruling that you had against you for 149, 000 is going to be overturned because judge Mata’s dad sat in the overflow room.
Like you are hitching your wagon to a lawyer. Who’s done nothing but take a bunch of L’s in this case. Yet he’s feeding you, I’m sure, behind the scenes, Hey, we got this. He’s already been on record saying he is not losing his appeal. Not, oh, you know, anything can happen. No. David Gingras has specifically said he is not losing this appeal.
There’s no way we’re going to lose this appeal. It’s literally in his blog and it’s also, I believe, on one of his YouTube channels. Or one of his YouTube shows that he put out. You’re hitching your wagon to this guy and all he’s done is giving you a bunch of L’s. So I find that comical. You guys are so hung up, and I say you guys because it’s your lawyer mostly, that just has the biggest hard on in the world for Judge Mata, and thinks that she is biased, and thinks that she was all into the Bachelor world, and just ruled in favor of Clayton because she’s a Bachelor fan and her dad sat in the overflow room, and, Her and her sister follows Clayton on Instagram.
Congratulations. If that’s what you’re hitching your wagon to, and that’s what you think is going to overturn the ruling against you from the trial on June 10th, good luck. And then here’s something else that she ended her podcast teaser trailer with. The podcast is not just about my story though. It’s about reclaiming all the stories that have been stolen, twisted, or misrepresented.
It’s talking to people who have faced judgment, lies, and cruelty. I actually like that basis for a podcast. I think that’s an excellent forum to have for a podcast. And if Laura is going to be the one to talk to these people, by all means, she has every right to do it. And here’s where my advice comes in.
Laura, here’s what I want you to do. You want to have people on that can reclaim their stories. Their stories have been stolen and twisted and misrepresented. You want to talk to people who have faced judgment, lies, and cruelty. Here’s what you do. Free advice from podcaster reality. Steve, here you go. All right, it’s me and you talking to me and you here.
I can, I can book you your first three guests. I’ll give them to you. All right. Here’s who your first three guests, because they fit that description. Exactly. Mike Maracini, Greg Gillespie, Clayton Eckerd. There you go. Because all their stories were stolen, twisted. And misrepresented by you. So how about putting them on your podcast and have them tell their story?
You can do that. Look at the free advice that I give you, Laura. I’m like your best friend here. What a great guy I am easily. It’s so ironic that that’s the podcast platform that she wants to podcast on. And yet the three people who probably need that platform more than anybody. Or the three guys who she’s absolutely told falsities about and told bad stories about and manipulated every single story about them.
So I cannot wait to tune into somebody told you podcast with the first three guests, Mike Maracini, Greg Gillespie, and Clayton Eckerd. I’ll even give it a five star. How about that? You will start off your first three podcasts with five stars from reality, Steve, Laura. If those three guys are your first three guests on your podcast, because their stories were highly twisted and misrepresented by you.
