With the California fires still burning. I’m sure you’ve seen the story of Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag as Spencer’s kind of blown up on Tik TOK.
I believe he has. Amassed over a million followers on Tik TOK when before the fire started, I think he had less than 200, 000 because he’s being very real. He is documenting it. He’s doing it in a very dry sense of humor. And while he is devastated that their home has been burned to the ground, he’s being very open and honest with people.
And there are so many people coming to his defense, just like this guy. Is exactly what we need right now. And you just think back, you wouldn’t think that about Spencer Pratt. Well, he also told people, Hey, go download Heidi single from 2010 called superficial. Well, people did, and she’s now the number one superficial, which was released 15 years ago is now the number one song on iTunes.
So they’re making money that way to help. Obviously repair going to have to buy themselves and build themselves a new home. So he’s doing it that way. He was doing a Q and a the other night, and I thought this was interesting because somebody asked him, what about watching old episodes of the Hills? Do you get any residuals for that?
And he was basically like, no, absolutely not. You should never go back and watch any of those episodes. And basically he admitted what the show admitted in the finale. And this goes to show. Okay. And look, it’s not every show that’s like this, but Spencer literally said, probably because he’s 15 years removed from an NDA with that show.
He said, look, Heidi and I were paid handsomely. We were, we were paid. And because we were paid, we just did what they told us to do. Heidi and I never fought in real life. Every fight you saw on that show was completely contrived. We did what the producers told us to do. We never fought. All of it was fake.
And we did it because they were paying us handsomely. Thank you to MTV for paying us the way you did. We appreciate it. He goes, I would do it again. I’d make up my whole life like I did on that show. And I would do it again for the paycheck. So, and this is the thing. You know, when I was back watching Laguna Beach, I He wasn’t on Laguna beach, was he?
He was only on the Hills. Yeah. When I was watching Laguna beach and the Hills, especially when I was watching the Hills, I would say to myself, this guy is one of the most despicable men in all of reality TV because I bought into it. You know, this was well before, I mean, I was still in the early going of, I mean, I was covering reality TV.
I was obviously covering the bachelor back then, but for something that wasn’t a quote unquote game show. You know, I bought into it. And then you hear the stories over the years, you hear Kristen Cavallari on her podcast, talk about it all the time. She’s like, Oh my gosh. You know, when she first had Lauren Conrad and Stephen Coletti on her podcast, she basically said they so focused on our love triangle on the love triangle senior year of the three of us.
She goes, I had so many boyfriend, or I think Lauren even said, she goes, I was dating other guys that year, but all they cared to focus on was the, Love triangle between Kristen and Steven. So literally the whole thing, Laguna beach, the Hills, all contrived. None of it is real. None of it was real. So it’s funny to hear him say that now, but it also kind of goes to the fact of.
Yes, you can take it into account, especially with love. Other shows, like I said, not every show is like that, but I think we need to take that into account when we watch other people, especially on, I don’t watch the housewives show, but I’m guessing the housewives show are run exactly the same way. Yeah.
I’m sure some of them don’t like each other. I get it, but they’re also getting paid to be on that show. So if you’re getting paid and a producer says, why don’t you talk about this? Why don’t you maybe have an argument about this course? You’re going to go along with it. You’re getting paid. If they weren’t getting paid.
Different story. Did you see what the kook contacting Caitlin Clark? What happened to him? So there’s a guy out here in Denton, Texas, by the name of Michael Lewis. He was charged with a level five felony after he was arrested at a hotel in Indianapolis. Cause he’s basically been stalking Caitlin, Caitlin Clark, sending her messages on X formerly known as Twitter for the last two weeks between December 16th and January 2nd.
Some of the text read been driving around your house three times a day, but don’t call the law just yet The public is allowed to drive by game bridge aka Caitlin’s field house. And then he wrote in another message. I’m getting tickets I’m sitting behind the bench and another one said they said I was sending threatening text, but the only thing only But the only thought on my mind was Caitlin.
Other messages were sexually violent, according to court documents. First off, thank God they caught this guy and threw him in jail. And hopefully he doesn’t get out anytime soon because you know, the second this guy gets out, do you think Caitlin Clark’s going to feel safe with this guy out there? I mean, you can see like, Hey, he’s a kook.
He’s just, you know, no, no, no, no. People can talk about wanting to be famous. And while there are many, many perks to being famous and known and making money and being on the cover of magazines and the lead story on TV shows, man, your privacy goes out the window when you become famous. And I don’t think the average person sitting at home who idolizes athletes, celebrities, singers, musicians.
Whatever the case may be. I don’t think they comprehend what a difficult life it must be. Not difficult financially, obviously not. You’d be like, well, I just get, why don’t you just hire security? You got the money for it. It’s like, you know, you talk about Taylor Swift all the time. I do. And. That woman will never lead a normal life.
Taylor Swift cannot walk out of her house, get into her car and drive to the grocery store ever for the rest of her life. And probably hasn’t done it for the last, I don’t know, 10 years. Just think about that. You can’t do anything without being swarmed by people or paparazzi. And when you are and pictures get out.
Everyone else is going to dissect what you’re wearing. How’d you look? How’s your hair? Look, how’s your makeup? Look, what do your shoes look like? And they’re going to dissect your outfit. Like there is a price for fame and this isn’t worth it. Some kook. And if you saw the picture of this guy’s mugshot, let’s just say this 55 year old man is not a man that Caitlin Clark is going to want to be with sexually.
Okay. I just. I feel bad for her. She’s obviously had she had a great year and she’s put women’s basketball on the map. A lot of more people sort of watching women’s basketball because of her, myself included, to deal with that, just to know that some guy, and you might be like, well, how do you even know he’s serious?
Yeah. But how do you don’t, how do you not, you might not think, oh, she shouldn’t pay attention to it. When you’re on that level of fame, you kind of have to take every threat and every message you get seriously. Because we know there are crazy people out there after celebrities, after athletes. So I hope this guy is in jail for a long, long time.
And finally, I wanted to end with this. I mentioned something at the very beginning about. Temptation Island. Someone asked me last week, Hey, have you heard anything about temptation Island? What’s going on? I said, look, I know they filmed it last summer. If you follow Mark Wahlberg on his Instagram account, he was definitely in Hawaii last summer and was posting stuff here and there, not saying like, Hey, New season of a temptation Island filming, but I know Mark and I know from his Instagram stories, it was obvious he was out in Hawaii.
And the only reason for him to be in Hawaii last summer would be to be filming a temptation Island season. Well, somebody on his most recent Instagram feed post, if you go to it, someone asked, hello, Mark, will there be a new season of temptation Island this year? And he responded, can’t say, but summer might be fun.
So it looks like we’re just going to have to wait a full year from the time of filming. To the time of it actually airing. So it looks like we’re getting temptation Island this summer, but just know it was filmed in the summer of 2024. So we all know, I think, I believe out of all the seasons, once it got rebooted, we all know that I believe there’s only one couple that’s still together and that’s Kirsten and the football player guy.
I can’t remember. I don’t know if that couple from season one that literally didn’t talk to anybody of the opposite sex, the whole season, Jay Vaughn, Javon. And I can’t remember his girlfriend’s name. They did get engaged. They were together for a while, but I don’t know if they are still, we know most of these couples end up breaking up and obviously things change.
And so if what we see in summer of 2025 is what happened with couples in 2024, I I’d be stunned if any of them were still together. And then you’ve got the whole idea of what happened at the end of the show. That we will see on finale night of temptation Island versus what happened from the time filming ended till the time they filmed the reunion.
And then what happened from the time they filmed the reunion. To present day when the reunion actually airs. So we’ve got all that we have to worry about. My guess is since they’re taking a year to air it, no way anybody is still together. We don’t even know who the couples are. And I can pretty much tell you, yeah, they’re probably, none of them are still together.
